Jason and Brady arrive and meet the Dimeras in the lobby. They are taking to their table and they sit across from each other. William says " So you two are strapping young men and women in your lives?" Kendall says " Oh yeah just want I need to hear about your conquests. Just ignore William he just wants to know if the women around here are worth his time as he calls it and if he has had the most women." William says " Hey I am just trying to make conversation with our new business partners. Grandfather agreed to the deal after we sent him the numbers and presentation. So we may as well get to know them. He wants us in the States more. To diversify our portfolio." Kendall snorts " As if having businesses on every continent is not enough. He wants the States, Canada, and Mexico not enough on the North American Continent." William says " You gentleman have to excuse my dear sister here she is a little testy when hungry." Kendall says " You like to call me sister to piss me off just because my mother raised you." William chuckles " Now isn't that definition of a sibling." They continue to banter and it warms Jason's heart to see that his spitfire is still alive and well. It also makes him think of their children and how much of their mother is in them. The rest of the dinner goes smoothly and they bid each other goodnight as he watches her walk away. It always hurt for him to watch her walk away and he wants this all to be over so he can have his Elizabeth back.
Port Charles, The Morgan Residence, two weeks later
The kids are enjoying the pool before the weather gets cooler. Currently, it is Emily, Steven, Johnny, Francis, Zander, his cousin Brook Lynn and even Nikolas and their kids. Ugh, he hates that guy and wishes Emily could have ended up with anyone else but he was there for her when she was sick and Zander punk ass was pissed she choose him. He eventually got over and he is another one that he does not understand the appeal. He senses her before she appears and everyone goes quiet. " I see they just let anyone in this party." She stands there in sunglasses and a black bikini with a cover wrapped around her bottom. Emily says " Nikolas take our kids into the house and Zander I suggest you do the same." Nikolas is stunned but complies and Zander still being a punk ass is being defiant. " Who invited you?" Jason says " This is my house and the only reason I allowed you here is because you are Emily's friend and my cousin's husband but do not make the mistake that we are friends and you will not disrespect her in my house. Now take your kids with Brook Lynn and go in the house." They have a stare and Elizabeth picks him up like he is weightless " Tsk Tsk Tsk I see you are still a pain in the ass and must I say you weren't even a good lay so you are not worth the trouble. Now be a good little boy and leave because Jason is being nice and I am not nice anymore to people I do not like." He trips and finally takes a hint. Johnny says " It is good to see some things have not changed." Elizabeth says " As always it is good to see you Johnny and you too Francis." Her children have gotten out of the pool and are watching her and Jake is the first one to take off and hug her and then the other two follow suit. The momentum knocks off her glasses but she lets them hold her and waits for them to release her. " I see your father has been feeding your Wheaties." Jake and Lila release her but Martin hangs on. " It is okay sweetheart I am right here." As she rubs his back he holds on tighter. Lila is watching her and has always heard how much she looks like her but to see it personally and not just a picture amazes her. "Wow Dad and Aunt Em always said I looked like you and I have seen pictures but it's nice to know what I will look like in a few years." Martin finally lets her go and says " Sorry Mom." Elizabeth says " Do you see me complaining kiddo? I am a lot tougher than I look." Jake says " But you are so tiny." Elizabeth says " I see you may like your father but you certainly inherited my smart mouth. What is like a giant? Towering over your mother at 6'2 at 15. I see no inherited my height I guess I can blame your dad for that." Elizabeth says " I do not know about you but I could use a good cheeseburger. Has your dad gotten better at cooking?" Jake snickers " Nope we have a cook here and sometimes Grandma Monica sends us food because even Aunt Emily is just as bad as Dad." Emily says "Hey I have you know I am an expert at ordering takeout and that has saved you many a night." Elizabeth says " I am not a good cook but I make excellent brownies and if it's okay with your Dad I will make you some." Johnny says " Forget Morgan you have my permission." Lila says " Are they really that good Uncle Johnny." Francis answers for him " Yes they are that is why your mother was everyone's favorite person to guard. She was nice and remembered everyone's names and forced us to call her by her first name. Even when your Dad was gone, she would still check on us and make us brownies." Martin grabs her hand and says " Come on Mom I will show you where everything is. I am the baker of this house and I even have my desserts sold at Kelly's because they are that good." Elizabeth says " I am sure your Dad made them pay you fairly and he loves dealing with the Spencers." Everyone laughs at that and they begin to make brownies. As they bake they gather around and eat. " Is it true that Jake is named after the bar you first met Dad?" Elizabeth says "Technically, I met your Dad a year before that but I was dating someone else and I was too young for your Dad. But he did save me that night and I was a bit rude." Jason snorts at that as she and she throws a french fry at him. " Anyway before I was so rudely interrupted, I realized he was nice and we talked and he took me for a ride on his motorcycle and we became friends." Martin says " Is that when you fall in love, Dad?" Elizabeth answers him " I was hurting over someone and your Dad was there for me. He became one of my best friends but I was too young to realize what he meant to me. Then when your stubborn Daddy hurt himself I found him and took care of him." Jason continues " Your Mom was so strong and determined to help me. I was really sad at the time and your mom made me get up and live. I even told her it was not safe and she left me but she held my face and said me she was not going to leave me and she went got help. She is the reason I am alive and the reason I hate Soup." Elizabeth says " You are quite welcome. I even taught your Dad how to make paper chains. He acted like he was this tough guy but I wore him down quickly and he came to love paper chains." Lila says " We make this at Christmas and he always gets an ugly little tree." Jake says " Hey it is not ugly it just needs a little more attention thank you very much." Martin says " You only say that because you pick it out every year." Elizabeth says " You get that from me and it is okay they just don't appreciate beauty." Jake high-fives his mom and sticks out his tongue at his siblings. Jake says " In your face losers." Emily says "Definitely your child." Johnny says " How funny is that he is Jason's twin but acts like his mother?" Elizabeth says " That better be a compliant O'Brien or I will show them those pictures of when you lost a bet to me." Johnny says " You would not dare Webber or I will tell Jason about that time." She zooms over and covers his mouth. She releases him and he says " That is what I thought." Elizabeth says " We will call it even." Jason says " Okay kids it's time to get cleaned up because we promised your Grandmother we would come over and help her with the charity event next week." Jake says " But Dad" Jason says " No buts Jake get a move on it." The Triplets all look at their mom and Martin asks " Will you be here when finish getting ready?" Elizabeth says " I just have to leave to get changed but I will be here and I will even go with you to help. I promise I am really fast." They go and hug her again and leave.
"Alright while they are getting ready everyone gets their shots in now," Elizabeth says. Emily gets up and hugs her tightly but then she smacks her. Emily shakes her hand " Damn that hurt what is made out of steel." Elizabeth says " One of the perks of being technically dead and still looking like this good." Steven walks over and asks " Is it okay to hug you?" Elizabeth nods and they let go. She speeds to grab the brownies and even changes as well. Fifteen minutes the kids are ready and they are just waiting on their Dad and Aunt. Jake says " Oh my gosh these are better than Artemis', no offense dude." Artemis replies " None taken I could eat all of them." Johnny says " Watch it squirt I would hate to fight a child." Elizabeth says " He is actually a child what is your excuse for being damn near 50 and acting like one. Besides I would break your finger if you touch him, O'Brien." Johnny says " Someone is violent." As he bites into his brownie and says " I can accept that because this brownie is that good." Jason and Emily are ready and they head out. They notice Elizabeth is not getting the car and Jason says " Hey is everything okay?" She says " Yes, of course, I will meet you guys there." She takes off and even beats them there.
Quartermaine mansion
Edward is somehow still alive at 100 and that surprises no one he is too stubborn to die. He has an automatic wheelchair and the children all say " Hello Grandpa Edward, we have the most amazing surprise." Before he can respond, " Hello Mr. Quartermaine." Elizabeth says as she bends down to him. Edward says " Hello my dear still as beautiful as ever. Thank you for those dear children they have been the best gifts an old man can ask her." Elizabeth says " Thank Mr. Quartermaine for loving them. I hear that Martin is your Shadow and will probably be running ELQ by the time he graduates college." Edward says " Oh dear he is aiming for eighteen. He has certainly inherited the Quartermaine knack for business while Jake and Lila have inherited Hardy and Quartermaine's knack for medicine." Elizabeth looks at her kids and says " Is that right?" Jake says " I am in an advanced science class since it is my favorite subject. Lila here is a whiz at math." Elizabeth says " I see you inherited that from your father because I was terrible at math." Jason says " It does not take away from how smart you are." Emily coughs " suck up." Before Jason can respond his parents can into the living room. " Oh my gosh, it is you." Monica says." Hello Mrs and Mr. Quartermaine." Edward grumbles " Stop with that nonsense dear. As head of this family, I declared you stop with that formal stuff and call us by our first names. We are family." Elizabeth laughs " Yes sir, Edward."
Her phone rings and she looks at it and rolls her eyes. " If you guys would excuse I have to take this." She walks out the backdoor and then she zooms to Canada. She calls back and says" Hello Grandfather." Viktor says " Your mother is expecting you at dinner tonight at the family compound and you know what is expected of you, Athena." Athena says " Yes grandfather I will be there promptly at 7 pm." He hangs up and she is grateful that this family dinner is in California since they acquired a compound there on the success of Jason's business deal. Give her the strength to make it through this dinner.
