Why did you leave me?
Why?
I'm all alone now
Without a heart,
Because you took it with you.
You left
A void,
A great, dark hole.
You were my everything,
And you left me with nothing.
I want you back.
I'd do anything to have you back
In my arms,
In my life,
Just with me.
I do have a plan,
It's why I kept you around.
A simple stasis charm
Under glass, so I can still monitor you.
It's really amazing what magic can do.
The stage is set.
The candles flicker from their specific locations;
The stones are all in place:
Onyx, slate, and the rare black diamond I gave so much for.
It's all worth it, though, if this brings you back to me.
All that's left is the bone powder.
I sprinkle it on the ground,
Spread it out,
And write your name in the chalky substance
With mine just next to it.
Finally, everything is ready (perfect).
I pull out my wand
And cast the spell
That will bring you back,
That will set you free.
It's astonishing that one spell
Has such power;
Power that can either
Ruin the rest of my existence
Or give me my life back.
The glass shatters on your coffin (prison).
I hold my breath,
Waiting
For any sign of movement,
Any sign that it worked.
Then ever so slowly
(At first I think it's a trick of the light):
But no, your eyes are open now.
Your hand twitches,
And I rush to your side.
You sit up,
And a victorious laugh bubbles from my chest.
Nothing can take you from me!
We'll be together
Forever.
My love,
My Rowena.
I have you back again,
But your eyes are dark,
And your lips are cold against mine.
