Happy (late) Halloween! I was really inspired by vampires this season. Watched Interview With A Vampire, Twilight and Bram Stoker's Dracula all within a few weeks of each other…although lets be honest Im always in love with vampires! Haha! Felt like writing some Lucius Vampire smut, so here we are.
In this story, Lucius has no wife or child, and has been a well known vampire in Wizarding Society. I hope you enjoy!

It was a crisp and perfect autumn day and and it was your absolute favorite time of year. Samhain was quick approaching and you wanted to head to Diagon Alley to do some shopping to get some seasonal items to decorate your cottage with. You knew you wanted to get some pumpkins and some other fall foliage to hang around your home, as well as specialty candles and some other festive items. There was something else you also wanted to get, but you knew if you wanted to get them, you'd have to head to Knockturn Alley.

Black roses. That is what you wanted to get in Knockturn Alley. There was a shop there known for its rare, and often times poisonous and dangerous plants, and you had heard that every Samhain they carried these particular stunning black roses. The roses themselves were actually harmless, but the witch who ran the shop was known to breed beautiful roses in various hues of blacks, blood reds and greens, and so you had always wanted to see for yourself.

Being a younger witch yourself, fresh out of Hogwarts, and a Hufflepuff no less, you had never had the need to venture to Knockturn Alley; always warned against its forbidden aura and dangerous witches, wizards and creatures who stalked through the winding alley. And so as you got ready in one of your flattering sweater dresses, boots and black over-cloak, you appraised yourself in the mirror and bit your lip nervously, debating whether or not you should go into Knockturn Alley for something as trivial as roses.

Looking at yourself in the mirror one last time, you finally made your way out into the crisp autumn day and headed to Diagon Alley. Perhaps you would decide when you got there what to do about heading into Knockturn Alley.

You had happily managed to get a few perfect little autumnal things in Diagon Alley that you had been searching for and now that you had everything you technically had come for, there was one more thing…the roses.

You found yourself staring at the entrance to Knockturn Alley. One step separated you from the light and airy Diagon Alley versus the dark and gloomy turn that would take you into unexplored and possibly dangerous territory.

You fought an internal battle with yourself. As a Hufflepuff you loved anything herbology, plants and flowers. You had heard about these rare and special roses for so long and there was a huge part of you that was curious and wanted to buy some for yourself. On the other hand…well…you were admittedly scared. What if something or someone approached you? What if you got lost? The fear of the unknown and the reputation of the place was intimidating…however after what seemed like an age of just standing there, you finally took a deep breath, settled yourself, and stepped into the dark entrance of Knockturn Alley.

Walking those first few steps into the alley felt as scary as you expected it to be; the dark gloom of it all seeming to encompass your being and seep into your bones; almost as if the alley knew you were a shy little Hufflepuff that didn't belong there. However, as you walked further on into the alley, you started realizing that it was slowly becoming less and less gloomy, and more similar to that of Diagon Alley itself. Yes, most of the shops here were perfect for someone who was looking for something a bit more darker in terms of magic, but the shops were all still nicely lit, a lot of them celebrating the time of the season with fun purple and green lights, floating candles and jack o' lanterns. You had expected the people walking around to be terrifying creatures or dark wizards who you read about in books, but everyone here seemed fairly normal in fact. There were even some younger Hogwarts age children walking around with their parents; yes they were all clearly Slytherin families, but if children were allowed here, it couldn't be all bad. Overall the fear that had gripped you upon entering was now gone, and you were slightly enchanted with the gothic, ancient coven type of vibes you were getting from the place.

You didn't have to walk too far into the alley to see the shop in which you had always wanted to go in. Plants and flowers of all types of deep, dark colors were in the windows of the shop, and the doorway was graced with a stunning archway of blood red roses, the thorns still on the vines as they wound up and over the doorway, some of them even growing thickly on the walls of the exterior of the building.

With a smile you stepped into the shop and your eyes couldn't seem to take in everything. You had never seen so many rare and fantastical plants in your life. Yes, many of them were venomous or even slightly dangerous, and those plants were either in cages or glass jars, but the assortments of different dark colored flowers was stunning. And sure enough, taking up the entire back wall of the shop were the amazing black roses you had been after. The petals of the roses seemed to shine, as if made from the richest of black satins, and as you got closer they even had a slight shimmer to them as the candles of the shop reflected off of the petals.

"Like them?" Said a soft voice to your left.

Looking over you saw a very pretty witch with deep red hair, cut short a bit above her shoulders. She was pretty, in the alt type of way, with many tattoos and piercings and her lips were painted with matte black lipstick. She looked young and cool and you instantly liked her.

"Yes, I've been dreaming about these roses," you said smiling.

The witch smiled back, her eyes gleaming with pride, "I grow them every year, just in time for the autumn season."

"You own this shop?" You said, surprised. You had heard about these roses for years and never expected to meet the actual owner and grower, let alone one so young. "Ive always wanted to come here, I've heard about these roses for years!"

The witch smiled more broadly, "I'm glad you could finally make it in. Here," she said as she plucked a black rose out of the bunch and handed it to you.

You couldn't believe how kind this witch was, let alone one who ran a shop in Knockturn Ally of all places.

"Thank you," you beamed widely as you admired the stunning rose up close, finally holding one in your hand. "I'll buy eleven more," you said with a smile, wanting to have a complete dozen.

Soon you had a gorgeous package of twelve black roses, wrapped in some beautiful matte black paper, which you added to the rest of your parcels you had from your day of shopping. The witch in the shop had been so sweet and spoke with you about your mutual love of plants as she wrapped up your roses and you couldn't believe how amazing of an experience it all was.
Right before you were about to leave the witch said, "You know it's really nice to have new people stop by. Not many do."

You smiled, feeling proud of yourself you had made that leap and decided to come to Knockturn Alley. "I almost didn't come. I was so scared….but my time here so far, especially in this shop, has been amazing. I'm sad I haven't been here before."

The witch smiled but sighed, "So many in the community think Knockturn Alley is some horrid, dank place. Don't get me wrong there are some shops that are slightly sketchy, but most of us are friendly and welcoming. We just all have a bit of an…edgy side…" she smirked as she tried to think of the best way to describe the Alley. "We all embrace our dark side a bit more, but that doesn't make us evil."

You nodded your head in agreement, and as you were stepping out you realized you were slightly hungry but wanted to do more exploring of Knockturn Alley.
"Do you know of any good places to eat around here?" You asked

"Oh yes, you must try Sylvain," she said immediately, "It's where all the locals go and they have the best Butterbeer. They add some Firewhisky to it, to give it an extra kick, and they serve the best savory and sweet pies around. Just make a left out of here and it's at the end of the Alley."

"Thank you so much," you said already excited with anticipation to try it. "And thank you for these," you said happily one last time as you indicated to the black roses.

"Do come back any time," the witch said.

And with that you made your way back out into the Alley in the direction of Sylvain.

Sylvain was a located in an anciently old building, the outside was what appeared to be crumbling grey brick, but upon entering, it was suddenly transformed into a decadent, seductive, gothic setting. Gorgeous wrought-iron wall sconces held candles which flickered a deep red, causing the whole establishment to be very intimate and almost romantic. An elegant bar against one wall housed hundreds of bottles of expensive looking liquors and crystal glasses. It smelled divine too, and your stomach grumbled as you took a seat at one of the dark wood tables in the corner, feeling good to set down your bags and just relax.

From the instant you sat down, and after you had admired the alluring and romantic setting that you were in, you had a significant feeling as if you were being watched, as your skin began to prickle in a sensitive way; it wasn't an all together unpleasant feeling, but it definitely was your body telling you that you had eyes on you.

Your big, beautiful eyes began taking in the patrons at the establishment finally, rather than just the place itself. At first you didn't see anything out of the ordinary with any of the witches and wizards around you; everyone was either talking in pairs at their tables or some were drinking at the bar by themselves. However, as your eyes scanned the other corners of the place, you saw off in the far right one, at a small table for one, the most stunning being you had ever seen.

He had the most handsome face you had ever witnessed, chiseled and masculine yet with a refined beauty that was almost other-worldly, the skin so pale as to almost be luminescent. He had hair that was long and shining and platinum, the strands of it almost glowing in the soft red flames of the candles in the room. His eyes were so silver, as to almost be glowing as they took you in, sparked with a clear interest, which made your heart beat fast and your breath stop short. You knew immediately who he was and yet you couldn't believe you'd actually ever see him.

Lucius Malfoy. The wizarding world's most mysterious man. Well not a man…a vampire.
What made him so infamous in the wizarding world, was that not only was he incredibly rich, powerful and hundreds of years old, but it was the fact that he was what was described as a 'functioning' vampire. Most vampires were wild, untamed creatures living in the wilderness and feeding off of anything they crossed paths with; savage creatures with zero humanity. However, Lucius was a rare case. He 'fit in' with society. His temperament and humanity clearly in check, his appearance not wild and unkempt and his over all control of his vampiric side allowing him to commingle with the rest of society.

You remembered back at Hogwarts in many Defense Against the Dark Arts classes, when vampires were the topic of study, that Lucius Malfoy was always brought up as an example of a rare vampire that could live amongst the rest of Wizarding society. He was famous amongst the Wizarding World for that exact reason. You even remembered you and all of your friends back at Hogwarts during these classes would always giggle and blush whenever Lucius Malfoy was brought up…practically all of the girls your age having a crush on the stories of the attractive vampire who could pass for a normal wizard. It was his mix of danger and gorgeousness that always had you and your hormone riddled friends crushing on him. Never in your wildest dreams did you think you'd actually see him in real-life. He was known to be mysterious, a loner, living alone in his grand manor in the countryside. No one you knew had ever seen him…had only ever heard about him through books and talk. Now you knew why…he clearly hung around Knockturn Alley, somewhere you knew most people never went to.

As you thought this, his eyes never left yours and yours never left him. It was as if you physically couldn't look away, as if something was compelling you to keep your eyes on him…to be drawn into him. He was so stunning, so alluring…the way he kept his eyes on you as he drank from his crystal glass of wine…or was it blood…you couldn't be sure…you felt like you were in a trance, and right before you felt yourself get up to go over to him, your body not your own anymore, your sight of him was finally broken as a waiter from the bar came up to you to take your order.
Shaking your head slightly and blinking a few times quickly, you felt as if whatever trance you had been under was broken. It took you a bit to catch your breath to be able to order and after clearing your throat a bit, you ordered one of the sweet pies and the famous Firewhisky Butterbeer you had heard about.

As the waiter walked away to prepare your order, your line of sight was clear again and noticed that Lucius Malfoy wasn't looking at you anymore but that he had a slight smirk on his gorgeous face. After a few seconds though, he clearly knew he was being watched, and his stunning silver eyes looked back at you, penetrating you again with his gaze. Blushing heavily, you looked away this time now, this game of cat and mouse of catching each other's gazes playing out a few more times before finally you couldn't take blushing anymore and you pulled out a book you had purchased today from one of your bags to distract yourself.

Despite not looking in the vampire's direction anymore, you knew every time he was staring at you still, as your skin tingled and prickled, almost as if his stare alone was magic that was trying to lure you in, to look into his eyes. The more and more you ignored the feeling, the more and more intense the tingling got.

Eventually your meal came and as delicious as it truly was, you barely seemed to notice it as you ate your food and pretended to read your book. In what seemed like an age, you eventually finished your meal and you were all set to leave, and for some reason your body felt as if it both simultaneously wanted to stay, as if being pulled like a magnet towards Lucius, but also as if it wanted to run as fast as you could, away from a creature that you knew could drain you dry of your blood. With a chill of either excitement or terror, you realized that that was a typical feeling around a vampire. They were creatures who were able to lure in their prey with a seductiveness that was irresistible; from their looks to their scent, everything about them was designed to lure in mortals to them.

Your face flushed slightly again at this realization that you were perhaps falling into a trap, but you still had enough of your wits about you to pack up your things to make to leave. However right before you were about to get up from your seat, you heard a pair of footsteps approaching you, and without even raising your eyes to meet his, you knew by the feeling alone, and the magnetic pull that was so practically unbearable, that Lucius was standing right in front of you where you sat.

Slowly, you raised your head, so that your wide eyes full of wonder, and yet fear, could look directly up into Lucius Malfoy's perfect face; a flush once again blooming on your cheeks.

Looking up at him…up close… was even more mesmerizing than you could have imagined. He was quite tall and those silver eyes of his were so stunning up close it was like you were looking into stars. He looked at you with an intensity that was over whelming, his silver eyes looking directly into yours, flicking down ever so briefly to your cheeks which were flushed, and then back into your eyes. He looked as if he was just as awe-struck as you were, but you couldn't be sure what that expression could mean.

"May I?" He finally spoke, his voice so honeyed and deep and alluring that it made your insides tingle just to hear it.

For what seemed like a few very long seconds, you couldn't quite respond, from being so entranced, but finally you managed to nod yes, unable to deny him.

The entrancing vampire sat across from you at the table, leaning slightly forward in his chair so that he could look upon you with even more intensity, and your whole being felt like it was frozen and unable to move or look away from him.

"I've never seen you before," he said, not as a question, but as a fact, his head slightly cocked to one side as if trying to understand why you were here. "No one new ever ventures in to Knockturn Alley."

"I….yes…I've…never been here before," you managed to get out, finding it hard to function around the beautiful creature that was Lucius Malfoy.

His silver eyes gleamed, as if knowing the effect he had on you. "And what may I ask, finally brought you here Miss…?"

You realized you hadn't told him your name and he was clearly asking. You shyly told him your name and found it odd that his expression looked almost relieved at hearing it.

You also realized that he had said 'finally' when he was asking what brought you here. The way he said finally had made your heart skip a beat. He made it seem like he had almost been waiting for you, but you knew that couldn't be what he meant. Perhaps he was merely curious.

"The…the roses," you said looking to your black roses which were peaking out of one of your parcels. "They are rare and only sold in Knockturn Alley."

His silver eyes flicked to the roses and back to your face, "They are rather stunning," he said with a honeyed drawl of his voice. "And how are you finding your first time here in Knockturn Alley? You must be very brave to come to a place most of the other witches and wizards say is dangerous…"

You flushed a bit at his compliment, and you noticed his eyes slightly flash as he took in your slightly pink cheeks. "Well…I must admit I was quite scared at first," you said looking away from his penetrating gaze briefly. "But after being here for a bit, I found it to be…well…not what the rumors say. It's actually a rather interesting and eccentric place that's been welcoming to me so far."

Lucius smirked slightly at your description of the Alley, and nodded his head slightly, in agreement. "Im glad you find it so," he said in that rich, deep voice of his. "Most witches and wizards would be surprised to find that there's really nothing to fear here…well mostly" he smirked again. "But decades of horror and ghost stories about this place keep most away…which is why I was intrigued to see a new face here."

You of course noticed how he said that there was mostly nothing to fear here. Meaning that there were a few things that you should still be cautious of. "And is there anything here for me to fear now…?" You asked delicately and shyly, but clearly indicating you meant him. Your skin tingling in what could either be fear or excitement again.

Lucius flashed a gorgeous smile at you, clearly amused at your question. His teeth were beautifully white and perfect, and you noticed immediately you didn't see any fangs. But you knew that shouldn't make you less cautious of him. "Not here. Not at this moment," he said with a bit more seriousness in his deep voice, as his silver eyes sparkled in the light of the candles.

You swallowed a bit, equally intimidated and entranced at the beautiful creature before you. "I know who you are," you blurted out, unable to help yourself from letting him know that you knew about him and what he was.

His silver eyes narrowed slightly at your boldness but he was smirking; amused. "And who am I?" He asked, clearly wanting to hear you say what it is you thought of him.

"You're…you're Lucius Malfoy," you said breathlessly, finding it hard to meet his penetrating gaze now. "You're a famous vampire…"

The smirk was still frozen on his face, and for a few long seconds he didn't say anything, but then he flashed you a brilliant smile again, and this time…this time his fangs had come out, his canine teeth elongated and sharp and dangerous. The sight of them caused your stomach to flip…and you realized it wasn't in an unpleasant way. Oh god what was wrong with you?

"Famous you say?" He said in an amused tone, as he took in your reaction to his fangs; seeming to delight in your breathlessness.

"Y…yes," you said, blushing yet again. You couldn't quite help it around him it seemed. "When we learned about vampires in school, we learned about you too…how you're a functioning vampire…"

Lucius made a humming type noise in his chest, almost as if he was pondering what you just said, but then his eyes flashed with amusement, the silver of them sparkling again. "How interesting to hear I've made the history books," he smirked with a sense of pride, but then he leaned in closer, so that his face came even closer to yours and he then became entirely serious. "Since you've studied vampires, you should also know then, that every time that gorgeous face of yours flushes, it's practically irresistible…." he crooned, causing your entire body to tingle and tense up.

"All that blood rushing to your beautiful face like that…it's…rather distracting…" he continued as he breathed out, his eyes catching the light of one of the red candles causing his own eyes to look slightly red themselves. At least you thought it was the light of the candles… you couldn't be sure.

Your core throbbed at his words, and that alone made you blush even more, and you couldn't stop the plethora of feelings you were feeling. Seeing those fangs of his had made you feel things, and you found yourself unable to stop staring at them. You were in shock at your own self for feeling such things for a vampire, let alone one you had just met. This was so unlike you, but perhaps it was just hidden parts of you that were now coming to the surface. You weren't sure. Coming to Knockturn Alley this day changed you somehow.

"I…I'm…sorry?" You said, not sure what else to say, your mind was reeling.

Lucius leaned back slightly then, chuckling deeply a bit to himself, but his eyes never left yours. "Don't be," he said softly, "It's quite becoming."

You couldn't help the shy smile then that graced your face. This man, this vampire, was so alluring and every part of you was entranced.

After what felt like a few very long seconds of just staring into each other's eyes, clearly feeling some type of connection between you both, you cleared your throat and started to gather your packages in your hands, indicating you were about to leave. "Well…I should go…" you said shyly as you reluctantly stood up from your seat. There was a huge part of you that just wanted to stay and talk to this vampire all day.

In what seemed like inhuman speed, Lucius stood up, as you did, causing you to blink your eyes quickly, as they tried to adjust to the speed they just witnessed. "Will you allow me to escort you out?" He asked, ever so gentlemanly. Clearly he didn't want to part from you quite yet either.

Your breath caught in your throat, as your heart beat rather quickly, completely exhilarated by him. "Y..yes," you said shyly as you began to make your way out, Lucius' elegant form following besides you, his movements so graceful it only added to the inhumanness of him.

As Lucius walked you out of the bar and out into the winding pathway of the Alley, you both didn't say any words, but you would both glance at each other with wonder in your eyes, you shyly smiling at him every time and him giving you gentle gorgeous smiles of his own. You couldn't quite imagine why he was looking at you with that same sense of wonder that you were looking at him with. You were just a simple, young witch. Surely he had seen more interesting people during his many centuries here on Earth.

Soon, you were at the border of Knockturn Alley, one more step and you'd be back on the bright streets of Diagon Alley. You turned finally to face him square on, looking up into his eyes, as he was quite taller than you, his own staring down at you with a fierce expression that made your heart start beating quickly again.
"Thank you for walking with me…," you said as you kept looking into his stunning silver eyes. "And thank you for making my first time in Knockturn Alley so…memorable," you said meaning it. You would never forget him or this day.

"It was my pleasure," he said, his voice practically a purr, his eyes suddenly becoming quite serious as he penetrated your gaze, with something that looked surprisingly like vulnerability. An expression that was quite strange for an immortal like him to have. "You have no idea how long I've been…waiting for this day…" he said as his jaw clenched slightly, causing his chiseled face to be even more gorgeous.

Your heartbeat was so fast now, that it felt like it would leap right out of your chest. "Wh…what?" You said breathlessly, not quite sure you heard him correctly. He had been waiting for you? You had to ask him. You couldn't leave now, not without an answer to what he meant.
"You were waiting for this day? For me?" You said looking up at him with wide eyes of wonder.

His eyes were so intense as he stepped in even closer to you, causing your back to press up against the brick wall that was behind you. You barely even noticed it, as you were completely mesmerized by him, as his body and face were now so close to you. The scent of him…the delicious alluring essence of him now causing you to practically swoon.

"In a sense," he said deeply. "Never in my many long years did I expect to find you…the one that calls to me…my blood mate." He said, almost reverently as he looked upon you.

You couldn't quite believe what was happening. Was this some sort of joke? Some sort of trick to lure you in and make you think you were special?
"What do you mean?" You asked so quietly, it was almost a whisper as you looked up into his eyes.

"Your blood…it calls to me…sings to me," he said as his eyes flickered a bit, with some sort of deep emotion you couldn't comprehend. And in that exact moment, that one flicker of his stunning eyes, you knew he was telling the truth.

The moment you realized he was telling the truth was the moment you realized that you felt a sensation that never in your life had you felt before. It was as if there was a string, wrapped around your heart that was tied to the vampire in front of you; an invisible bond that connected you to him. You had felt the tingling of his gaze back at the bar whenever you felt his eyes upon you, even without looking at him, you had known he was looking at you, but now with the realization that he was telling the truth…that you were his blood mate…whatever that was, it was as if the bond had fully formed into place. And you felt it too. You felt irrevocably his, and that you desperately needed to be his. You didn't even know him and yet you knew it!

Was this why you had subconsciously come here today? You never would have dreamed about ever going into Knockturn Alley, but today you had decided to make that leap and go for it…all for some black roses, which now seemed so silly compared to just hearing life-altering information. Perhaps it was destiny leading you here.

"Lucius…I…I don't even know what to say….We don't even know each other," you stuttered out, trying to make sense of everything.

"I know," he said huskily, looking down, the confident vampire facade slipping. "It's why I never thought it would happen…until today when I sensed you in that bar..I knew immediately that you were different."

You took in everything he was saying, your back still pressed up against the wall as you stared up at his imposing form. You then felt his cold large hands, gently take your left hand and he simply held it, as his thumbs ran over the underside of your wrist, right where your pulse was beating quickly.
It was fascinating watching the expressions that crossed his face as he touched you for the first time, felt your heartbeat for the first time. You could have sworn you heard a low rumble emanating from his chest, almost as if he was making a slight moan at feeling your skin and pulse. Where he held your hand in his, his touch was cold and electric and caused your whole body to begin tingling in a pleasurable feeling; that pulling feeling so strong you didn't even realize you had started standing on your tiptoes so that you could get your face even closer to his.

In one of those inhumanely fast movements of his, Lucius leaned his head a bit closer in to you as well so that you faces were mere centimeters apart. His hands still held your left one, and you were practically frozen. Frozen with his proximity and also that scent of his again. It was like every good scent of the Earth was emanating from him, drawing you in. He smelled of the finest of cologne, the richest of spice and pine, the manliest of musks, it was driving you practically insane…as if his scent was made just for you to lure you in. You knew you should be scared of that fact, especially since he was a vampire and that is what they were designed to do; to lure in their prey. And yet you didn't feel scared; and that in itself was the scary part.

He however, seemed much the same, you could literally feel him breathing you in, your own scent seeming to intoxicate him as well.

You knew your body and mind belonged to him now, and not able to stop yourself from his mesmerizing pull, you stood the last bit on your tiptoes and softly pressed your lips against his, the scent of him so overwhelming, and the surprising softness of his lips so silky and divine, you couldn't help closing your eyes in pure bliss. Never in your life had you ever been so bold, but it was as if you were completely changed.

Lucius moved his hands that had been holding your own to cup your face as he kissed you back with what felt like primal need. A low moan reverberating from his chest as he tasted you on his lips for the first time. The kiss seemed to last for an age, and when it deepened, when you felt his tongue seeking entrance to your mouth, it only lasted for a brief second before he pulled away all too quickly, clearly tasting you more deeply having been quite intense.

"Gods your so warm…so perfect…" he said, as his eyes opened up, his thumbs rubbing gently on your flushed cheeks where he cupped them in his hands.

Your breath stopped at the sight that met you. His face so impeccably stunning, but also more dangerous than before. His fangs had come out again, and they shined in the moonlight of the dark Alley, his exceptionally silver eyes had a ring of blood red around the rim, one that hadn't been there before, and you knew you were on dangerous ground and yet you still couldn't pull away. In fact, you wanted more. More more more.

Despite no one being around, Lucius still moved his stunning eyes briefly around, checking to see if anyone was looking, before turning back to you and asking in the lowest, most husky and seductive voice, "Come with me?"

You should have done the smart thing and said no. You had no idea where this would lead, and he was a vampire. A deadly creature that could murder you at any minute. But all of that didn't matter. All you could do was listen to the incessant feeling in your body that you needed more. Needed more of him. Your blood mate.

"Yes," you said breathlessly. The only thing you could fathom to say to him.

With a flash in his eyes and a seductive smirk that made you want to melt into puddle just to look at it, Lucius grabbed your bags from your right hand, grabbed your left hand in his and apparated you. You had completely surrendered, not even realizing it was for life.
