A NIGHT AFTER THE RAID ON THE CASTLE...
The cold silence of Lilith's chambers was shattered by her labored breaths as she tossed in her bed. Her brow furrowed, beads of sweat forming on her forehead. The nightmare had begun.
[Play Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance -The Key Of Darkness- Extended]
She stood in a black, endless void with a red hue. The air was tense, and the ground beneath her feet cracked with each step. She clutched her staff tightly, heart pounding as her eyes darted around, searching for any sign of him—Sora.
Suddenly, he appeared. But this wasn't the Sora she had faced before. His entire frame was completely black, glowing red, and his eyes glowed with an unnatural, furious red light. His form crackled with wrathful energy, his fists clenched as shadows danced around him—Rage Form.
Lilith: *panicking* No-NO!
Lilith raised her staff, ready to cast a spell, but her voice caught in her throat. Her magic, once powerful, felt like a fleeting whisper in the face of the malevolent force before her.
Sora moved. Fast. Too fast.
Before she could react, Lilith shrieked in agony as Sora tightly grabbed her hair, lifted her up, and punched her right in the stomach, causing her to cough up more blood. He then threw her far away to the side.
Lilith clenched her stomach, yelling from the pain. She widened her eyes in horror as she saw Sora slowly approaching her. Lilith pales at the sight, beginning to sob and plead with Sora.
Lilith: NO! PLEASE DON'T DO THIS!
Sora doesn't listen as he continues his menacing approach to Lilith.
Lilith: I'M SORRY! I DIDN'T MEAN TO HIT YOUR FRIEND! I DIDN'T MEAN TO CURSE EDA LIKE THAT! PLEASE, STOP!
Again, Sora doesn't listen.
Lilith: SOMEONE! ANYONE! SAVE ME, PLEASE!
With whatever strength she had left, Lilith began to crawl and drag herself away from Sora as fast as possible. But, it was all for nothing. Sora teleported right in front of her, summoned long, sharp tendrils from his back, wrapped them around Lilith tightly, and lifted her up. After that, Sora began to lock Lilith in a chokehold with his right hand before staring at Lilith briefly and summoning his Keyblade for the final blow. Before he did, Lilith heard one last thing that Sora said to her, speaking in a horrific, monstrous voice.
Sora: Lilith. You have devastated the life of your own sister... Held my friend captive, then hurt her while she couldn't defend herself... And now... *aims his Keyblade to her stomach* YOU WILL PAY THE ULTIMATE PRICE!
And with that, Sora, with all his strength, plunged his Keyblade into Lilith, stabbing her all the way through.
[End Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance -The Key Of Darkness- Extended]
Lilith's eyes shot open as she bolted upright in her bed, heart hammering in her chest. Her hands trembled as she touched her face, still feeling the phantom pain of the blows. The nightmare clung to her like a shroud, and Lilith felt truly afraid for the first time in years.
Of him.
Of Sora.
PRESENT...
[Play Kingdom Hearts III OST - Organization XIII ~Legacy~]
Within the Emperor's castle, Lilith and Steven are seen walking through the castle halls.
Lilith: Today's the day, Steve...
Steve: Really?
Lilith: Yes, we finally have the chance to unleash our newest creation, which is to capture Eda.
LATER...
Not far from the Emperor's castle, Lilith stood on the edge of the cliff, her eyes fixed on the massive structure taking shape in the valley below. The wind tugged at her clothing, the fabric billowing like a raven's wings as she observed the final phase of construction. An airship that seems nearly complete. Its sleek, dark hull gleamed under the moonlight, and the metal plating on its exterior was adorned with intricate carvings of ravens in flight, their wings outstretched as if ready to soar into the night sky.
As Lilith marveled at the vessel, she heard footsteps behind her.
?: *wolf whistle* What a beauty~.
Lilith, recognizing the voice, softly smiled.
Lilith: Steve, it is hardly appropriate to address me in such a manner.
Steve: You're right. IF I was talking about you. But as you already know, I'm referring to our sweet ride here.
Lilith: *chuckles* Of course.
Despite Lilith being occupied with the intricate details of the ship's construction and the plans that would soon unfold, she was glad to see it was Steve who showed. In her mind, Steve was the one ally she always trusted and the only one she personally knew within the coven, making her always glad to have his company. But right now, the airship in their sights needs their attention.
Lilith: Every detail has to be perfect. This vessel will be more than just a means of transportation; it will also be the greatest weapon to date and the means to capture Edalyn for good.
Steve nodded.
Steve: It's always been that way, hasn't it?
Lilith: *turns to Steve* Hm?
Steve: This whole thing with you and Eda... It goes far back to when we were kids at Hexside.
Lilith: Yes. *turns back to the ship* Edalyn, myself, you...and many others... we were all connected. Close. But... everything changed when...THAT day happened.
Steve: I gotta say... I'm honestly still a little shocked that you were the one who gave her the curse. I mean...I know you didn't mean it, but...
Lilith: I know, Steve. It was highly reckless on my part... The curse was never meant to happen, but it did. Hence why, I've been relentless in capturing Eda. The Emperor promised to heal her curse if I brought her to him. I was so close the last time, but we already know how that went.
Steve: Yeah.
Lilith: But now that he's given me another chance, I will not waste it. Soon, Edalyn will be coming with me.
Steve hummed and nodded as he thought about their conversation and younger days.
Steve: So, how much longer until it's ready?
Lilith then focused her shift on the workers below, who were doing their best to keep up the pace around the ship and add the finishing touches.
Lilith: A few more hours, at best. The engineers are finalizing the propulsion systems, and the crew is already prepping the interior. If it all goes according to schedule, it will be ready to fly by dawn.
Steve: Cool. But there is one that's bugging me.
Lilith: And that would be?
Steve's expression darkened.
Steve: What do we do about...THAT kid, Sora? You know, he won't just let us take Eda.
Lilith turned to face him, her eyes burning with a cold fire.
Lilith: I'm counting on it. This time, with this vessel, not even he could stand a chance. Especially since we have a secret weapon at our disposal.
Steve met her gaze, understanding her words. Lilith's will was ironclad, and once she set her mind to something, there was no turning back.
Steve: All right. I'll go ahead and make sure everything's set.
Lilith watched him head down the path toward the encampment below, where the final preparations were being made. She remained on the cliff's edge, her thoughts returning to the past—the memories of simpler times when she and Eda had been inseparable. But those days were long gone, buried beneath layers of conflict and ambition.
After confirming that the final preparations had been made, Lilith turned to the horizon. Seeing the first light of dawn beginning to creep over, she turned her gaze skyward. Soon, the airship would take flight.
Lilith: It is time.
Steve: Then, let's rally the troops. Oh. By the way, what do we call this beauty?
Lilith: I've already thought up a name. This is more our vessel and the antithesis of everything Eda represents. She is the owl; I am the raven. And as such, this ship will be known as The Raven's Keep!

At the Owl House, in one of the many rooms, Kairi stirred beneath the soft linen sheets, the morning light filtering through the curtains. The warmth of the sun met her skin, coaxing her out of the remnants of sleep. Her body felt heavy, but not in the way it had for the past few weeks. There was a new lightness, a sense of energy that had been absent for so long. She slowly opened her eyes, blinking against the brightness, and took a deep breath, savoring the simple act of waking.
She got up from her sleeping bag, her bare feet touching the cool wooden floor, stretching as much as she could. She just stood there momentarily, gathering the strength to fully wake up. A faint dizziness washed over her when she finally did, but it passed quickly, leaving her surprisingly steady.
Kairi made her way to the bathroom, her steps slow but sure. Steam began to fill the room as she turned on the shower, curling around her like a warm embrace. She slipped out of her nightclothes and stepped under the spray, letting the water cascade over her body.
The sensation was blissful. The heat soothed her body, washing away the lingering stiffness she felt earlier. She closed her eyes, tilting her head back to let the water flow over her face, feeling it cleanse the last traces of the cold. It felt like ages since she felt this way to Kairi. She allowed herself to relax fully and simply exist in this moment of peace.
After a long while, Kairi turned off the shower and reached for a towel. She wrapped it around herself and padded to the mirror, her reflection obscured by the fog. She wiped a hand across the glass, revealing her image beneath.
She stared at herself, blinking in mild surprise. Due to her previous comatose state throughout the month of being in the Isles, her body had been so frail and gaunt, the evidence of her ordeal undeniable. But now, she could see the difference. Her skin had regained some of its color, no longer sallow but gently flushed with life. The sharpness of her collarbones had softened, and her arms, though still slender, no longer looked so fragile.
She then opened her towel, studying the changes more closely. The hollow spaces between her ribs were beginning to fill out, her legs had more strength, and even her face had started to lose the sunken look. She was gaining weight and starting to look more like herself again.
A small smile tugged at the corners of her lips. It wasn't much, but it was progress. She was healing slowly but surely. Kairi the. touched her fingertips to the mirror, meeting her own gaze.
Kairi: *whispering* You're going to be okay.
Those words were a quiet promise to herself. She wasn't just surviving anymore; she was living.

The soft chirping of birds filled the air, and a gentle breeze rustled the leaves of the trees surrounding the owl house.
Kairi stepped out onto the front yard, glancing around, taking in the moment's tranquility, before she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She held out her hand, summoning her Keyblade with a flash of light. The familiar weight of the weapon in her grip gave her a sense of comfort and determination.
She began to move, her feet shifting across the ground as she swung her Keyblade in a series of practiced strikes. Her movements were fluid, but there was a hesitance—a slight wobble in her stance, a falter in her grip. She furrowed her brow, trying to focus, but the more she pushed herself, the more her frustration grew.
Her foot slipped as she attempted a spinning strike, and she stumbled, nearly dropping her Keyblade. She then sighed, pausing to catch her breath.
"You're doing great, Kai."
Recognizing the voice, Kairi turned to see Sora approaching. He had his usual bright smile as he walked over to her.
Kairi: Sora.
Her voice tinged with both relief and embarrassment.
Kairi: I'm trying, but I just can't get it right.
Sora: Hey, it's okay. You know training isn't about being perfect right away. It's about getting better little by little. We all start somewhere.
He moved to stand behind her, placing his hands over hers on the Keyblade's hilt, causing Kairi to giggle.
Sora: Here, let me show you.
Together, they practiced the same sequence of strikes. With Sora guiding her, Kairi found her movements becoming more controlled and precise. She could feel the difference—how Sora's presence made her feel more confident and capable.
Sora: See? You're getting it.
Sora stepped back to let her continue on her own.
Kairi repeated the sequence, this time without faltering. A smile spread across her face as she completed the final strike, the Keyblade gleaming in the morning light. She turned to Sora, who gave her a proud nod.
Kairi: Yes! Thanks for that, Sora.
Sora: Anytime.
Kairi: Although, *smirks* if you wanted to cuddle, all you had to do was ask~.
Sora: Please, Kai. Try to remain professional in our training.
Kairi: *scoffs* Excuse me, Master.
The two looked at one another, snorted, then burst out laughing until Kairi stumbled, lost balance, and then started falling forward, causing Sora to catch her in time. As he helped her stand up, the two then gazed upon each other again. As they did, Kairi felt a sense of peace and happiness wash over her, the same kind she always felt since the day she first met Sora. Sora felt something similar, feeling joy whenever he was near her. Without thinking, the two leaned and kissed with much delight. The two stopped and kept their gaze, blushing.
Kairi: I'm so lucky to have you.~
Sora: I feel the same.~
"Hey, lovebirds!"
The two jolted and turned to see Eda, Luz, and King standing at the front door, folding their arms with smirks.
Sora: Oh, hey. Good morning, guys.
Luz: I'll say~.
Eda: We love seeing you in love. But you know what we'd love more right now?
King: BREAKFAST!
Both Sora and Kairi sheepishly chuckled.
"I agree."
Both Islanders turned around to see Amity, Willow, and Gus also folding their arms with smirks.
Sora: Right on time, I see.
Amity: Yup.
Willow: Food now.
Gus: Romance later.
Sora: *sigh* Alright. Let's go inside.
Everybody began walking inside the house.
Kairi: Ooh. What are we having today?
Sora: Hmm... I'm thinking of something I found on Luz's phone. Breakfast burritos.
Luz: Ooh! Yeah!
Breakfast burritos were settled, and Sora had prepared a variety of them: a couple with scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, hash browns, and ham, and a couple with eggs mixed in with chorizo, hash browns, and shredded white cheese. For simplicity, they used paper plates instead of regular ones to save time.

Sora: Yes. I need to go to do some solo training.

Kairi: But...why?
Sora glanced at Eda, then back at the team.
Sora: There's a special move I wanna practice and master. And to do it, I need to be alone and focus on it. It'll really come in handy whenever we face something huge, like if a Darkside shows up.
Kairi: Are you SURE you have to be alone? Maybe we can watch you on the sidelines?
Sora: *sweetly smiles* Don't worry. I won't be gone for too long. Plus, it'll be one heck of a surprise. Also, where I'm going might not exactly be good for you.
Hearing that caught everyone else's attention.
Luz: Wait. Where ARE you going?
Sora: The Knee.
Luz/Witches: The Knee!?
Sora: Yeah. *to Kairi* That place is super cold for you to handle. So, I wouldn't want you to get super sick.
Kairi: Aww.
Sora: Hey, look at me.
Kairi does so.
Sora: As soon I feel like I've got this move down, I'll come straight back.
Kairi: Promise?
Sora: Promise. *to Eda* Eda. In case I come back later than expected. I left my recipes magnetized to the fridge.
Eda: Gotcha.
The Owl Lady walked back into the house.

Sora: Oh! Before I go, as you know, there will be times when the whole team can't be together, just like what happened with the raid at Belos's castle and the Reaper's Hand guild, where we had to split up. There will be times when each of us will be completely on our own, as I was a few times throughout my journeys. Now, in this case, since we are a team, and since I'm going out, you're going to need a Second-in-Command.

Willow adjusted her glasses, a slight frown on her face.
Willow: Actually, I feel like I'm more level-headed than you, Amity. Also, I'm the strongest, after Sora, here. Plus, I've technically been training hard long before Sora even showed up. I think I should handle it.
Gus boastfully pointed his thumb at his chest.
Gus: No way. It should be me.
Luz, Amity, and Willow looked at Gus with an expression that said: "Are you serious?"
Amity: I don't think so. What makes you think a goofball like you should be Second-in-Command?
Gus turns to the others, grinning while pointing at himself.
Gus: Because I'm the smartest!
In response, Amity karate-chopped Gus's head with a slightly irritated expression. Sora chuckled, sensing the competitive tension rising.

Sora: Alright, alright. How about we settle this the usual way? A quick duel. Free-for-all. The last one standing gets to be Second-in-Command.
The challenge sent a thrill through the group. They all summoned their Keyblades, the air humming with anticipation as the magical weapons materialized in their hands. Luz's eyes sparkled with excitement, Amity's with determination, Willow's with quiet resolve, and Gus's with excitement and nerves.
Sora stepped back, giving them space.

The forest erupted into a whirlwind of motion. Luz darted forward with her usual fiery enthusiasm, her Keyblade slashing through the air with precision. Amity countered with practiced elegance, her movements graceful and calculated as she parried Luz's strikes. Willow stayed on the defensive, using her Keyblade to deflect attacks while keeping her distance, her eyes constantly scanning for an opening. Gus, meanwhile, relied on quick movements and clever tactics, aiming to outmaneuver rather than overpower his friends.
The clash of Keyblades echoed throughout, sparks flying as they connected in a flurry of attacks and counterattacks. Luz's determination pushed her forward, her energy seemingly boundless as she fought with everything she had. Amity, ever the strategist, tried to outthink her opponents, but Luz's relentless assault began to wear her down. Willow's calm and steady approach, applied with her physical strength, kept her in the zone, but Gus's speed proved difficult to counter. Despite his best efforts and speed, Gus found himself outmatched by the intensity of the battle.
One by one, the competitors were forced to yield. Gus was the first to go down by a Blizzara spell, followed by Willow, who couldn't keep up with the aggressive pace. Amity held out longer, her skill evident in every move, but in the end, Luz's sheer willpower and creative use of spells gave her the edge.
With a final, decisive strike, Luz disarmed Amity, sending her Keyblade flying from her hand, and trapped Amity in a bind of vines with plant magic. Breathing heavily, Amity struggled to get out with her magic, but to no avail. In the end, with a nod, the young Blight acknowledged her defeat.
Sora applauded, grinning as he stepped forward, raising a hand to call an end to the duel.
Sora: Looks like we have our winner.

Luz stood victorious, her chest heaving as she caught her breath. A wide grin spread across her face as she tried to raise a thumbs up.
Luz: Soo-weeet.
Amity, Willow, and Gus couldn't help but smile at Luz's infectious excitement despite their sourness. Sora clapped Luz on the back, a proud look in his eyes.
Sora: You earned it, Luz. I know you'll do great.
Luz beamed, her Keyblade disappearing in a flash of light.
Luz: Don't worry, Sora! We'll hold down the fort until you get back. You can count on us!
Sora nodded, his heart swelling with gratitude and pride as he looked at his friends.
Sora: I know I can. Okay, team. In case of an emergency, Luz will contact me through my Gummiphone. See you later.
Luz: *nods* Hm.
Sora immediately boosted himself into the sky and flew off towards the Knee as everybody waved Sora off. Luz then turns around to the team.
Luz: Alright, Hexsqaud! Let's do it to it!
Witchlings: ...Hexsqaud?
Luz: Yeah! You know how those Reaper's Hand guys were called Deadly 4? I was thinking of asking Sora what he would think if we had a team name. Also, we go to Hexside. We're a squad. Hexsquad!
Amity raised an eyebrow.
Amity: We get it. But don't we already have a team name? We're the Guardians of Light.
Luz: Yeah... But that's the whole order, like Reaper's Hand being the name of that guild. We are our own personal team.
Amity crossed her arms.
Amity: Okay. Well, before we decide on a name, how about we actually DO some training?
Luz: Oh, right.
Willow: So, what's the plan today?
Luz: Ooh. Actually, I was thinking we could touch up on our D-Links. During the battle against the Deadly 4, I was getting used to that rushing feeling of Sora's power. I feel like we could practice more on that.
The others thought that was a good idea, so they all agreed. But before they started, Kairi approached them.
Kairi: Wait. Guys?
They all turned to Kairi.
Luz: What's up?
Kairi: I was hoping to ask if one of you could be my sparring partner.
The teens looked at one another in surprise.
Luz: Really?
Kairi: Yeah. I WAS going to ask Sora...
The others winced.
Kairi: I feel like I've been recovering well enough, and I think it's time for me to get back into fighting shape. I can't just sit by the sidelines forever. I'm still a Guardian, after all.
The others glanced at one another again before looking back at Luz.
Luz: Oh, you know what? That's actually a good idea. Do any of you want to help Kairi?
Willow: Actually, I can do it.
Kairi: Really?
Willow: After our little free-for-all, I could use this as a workout.
Kairi: Thanks, Willow. I appreciate that.
Willow: No problem. Let's get started.
Both summoned their Keyblades and entered their stances as Luz, Amity, and Gus continued with their D-Links practice.

The Raven's Keep cut through the skies. Its raven-shaped figurehead sliced the clouds as it sailed toward its destination. The deck hummed with the low thrum of the powerful engines, and the airship's wings, crafted from dark metal and enchanted with magic, flexed with each gust of wind.
At the helm, Steve stood, his hands gripping the polished wood of the wheel. His coven scout uniform billowed around him. Underneath his mask, his eyes narrowed and fixed on the horizon where the Owl House loomed.
Behind Steve, Lilith was walking towards him with her white staff on hand and a mysterious shadowy creature floating next to her.
Lilith: How's it going, Steve?
Steve: We'll reach the Owl House very soon.
Lilith: Excellent. Edalyn won't be expecting us like this.
Steve nodded.
Steve: And she's not our only concern. If I recall from when they raided us, Eda's pet, that house demon, and those kids Eda brought with her—they'll also be there, ready to strike back. And then there's Sora...
At the mention of Sora, both fell silent. The memory of their last encounter with the Keyblader still haunted them. Sora had been a force of nature, relentless and powerful, with a determination that had nearly cost them everything. Even more haunting was when his Rage Form was unleashed upon them. Both Lilith and Steve still bore the scars from that battle, both physical and mental.
Lilith: We can't afford another defeat like that. Like I said before, with the Raven's Keep, even he won't be able to stand a chance this time. Especially with the secret weapon at our disposal. *glances at the shadowy figure*
Steve: Right. This ship is a fortress.
Lilith nodded, but her expression remained troubled.
Lilith: The ship will help us get to Eda, but it won't guarantee our victory. We need to be strategic. We can't rely on brute force alone this time.
Steve: We could unleash massive gusts of wind to confuse them. And our scouts in the hull can warp on the land and strike before they can react.
Lilith: Agreed. We'll use the ship's cloaking spell to get as close as possible, then deploy the harpoon cannons to anchor us to the Owl House. Then, we send in the crew to engage her allies while we focus on capturing Eda.
Steve: And what about Sora...?
Lilith's grip tightened on her staff.
Lilith: If Edalyn's bodyguard shows up, we'll need to separate him from the others. Next to Edalyn, he's the strongest when he fights alongside them. We'll need to isolate him by siccing our secret weapon on him immediately.
Steve: But would that be enough?
Lilith nodded, her mind racing with possibilities.
Lilith: It has to be. The weapon has been designed specifically to counter Sora in every way possible. It'll also use tactics he won't expect. If we can outmaneuver him, even for a moment, it might give us the edge we need.
Steve: Hold it. Do we have a boiling rainstorm heading our way?
Steven pointed in the direction in front of them, which made both Lilith and Steven notice a massive formation of dark clouds.
Lilith: Be calm, Steve. Our meteorologists have confirmed no rain at this time. Which means it's just going to be a cloudy day.
Steve sighed in relief.
Lilith: In any case, whatever happens...
The coven head's voice became firm.
Lilith: We can't afford to fail.
Steve placed a hand on her shoulder, his touch reassuring.
Steve: We'll succeed, Lilith. Together.
Lilith allowed herself a brief moment of solace in Steve's words before refocusing on the task ahead. The Owl House was within reach, and with it, the final confrontation that would determine their fate.
The Raven's Keep surged forward, a dark silhouette against the grey clouds as it sped toward the battle that awaited them.

In the proper winter attire, Sora stood alone in the vast snowy expanse of the Knee, the cold and howling breezing all around him. The snow stretched out in every direction, a never-ending blanket of white that seemed to swallow all sound, all warmth, and all hope. But Sora wasn't here for comfort. He was here to train, to master a move that had intrigued him for a while now—a move that could give him a chance.
He had been practicing for a while but was now taking a break by sitting in an empty cave next to a campfire, keeping him warm. As he got cozy, he looked outside into the snow and recalled his time in Arendelle, the homeworld of Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven.
Sora: *thinking* Hmm. Good times.
Feeling refreshed, Sora got back outside and planted his feet firmly in the snow, feeling the cold seep through his boots and ground him. His focus was razor-sharp, his mind empty of all distractions. He took a deep breath, filling his lungs with the icy air, and closed his eyes.
He could feel the energy inside him, a coiled spring of power waiting to be unleashed. The secret move required not just strength but precision. He closed his eyes, spread his arms out into a curl, clenched his fists, and began to power up his magic. Encasing himself with a golden aura, Sora could feel that power ready to burst. In that instant, he let out all that energy and began forming a shape with it, seemingly resembling that of a bird. Sora then opened up his eyes, revealing a golden glow
Sora: Okay, I'm getting the hang of this. This is kinda like how she did it. But I'm going for the extra mile.
But then, something caught his attention. A shift in the wind, a sudden stillness in the air. Sora powers down and looked up towards the sky.
The sky was changing. Where it had been a clear, pale blue just moments ago, now clouds were gathering, dark and heavy. They moved unsettlingly, swirling together as if drawn by some unseen force. Sora's heart skipped a beat.
Sora: Boiling rains!?
But he pushed the thought aside. This wasn't one of those storms. It couldn't be. The clouds were too high, too slow-moving. Besides, the Knee was tense, but it wasn't always dangerous. Not every cloud meant a boiling rainstorm.
Sora shrugged and turned his attention back to his training. The move wasn't going to master itself, and he couldn't afford to waste any more time. He took another deep breath, feeling the energy surge within him, and focused once more.
But as he did, the wind picked up again, more fierce this time, whipping the snow into frenzied spirals around him. The clouds above thickened, darkening the sky until it was almost night. Sora felt a shiver run down his spine, but he shook it off. He couldn't let cold bother him anyway. Not now.
He repeated the process again, this time more determined and more focused. The power within him responded, crackling to life, sparking all around him. He was close, so close to getting it right. He could feel the energy building, the tension mounting—
And then, a loud echoing sound was heard all around him, similar to a bird call he knew. At that moment, he knew it. He had gotten to the level of progress he wanted. But to be sure, he summoned a massive wall of ice to use as a mirror to see his reflection. And sure enough, he got it.
Now, all that was needed was a test drive. Looking around, he floated up high in the sky and used construction magic to summon a huge slab in front of him.
Sora: Oh yeah. Let's go.

Meanwhile, inside the Owl House kitchen, Eda, wearing a pink apron, was cooking pork ramen for lunch, seeing as Sora was still out.
Eda: *smells her cooking* Mmm~. Just as I expect from the kiddo's recipes. And you know what, it's nice to actually do the cooking for a change. *grabs a ladle, tasting the broth* Mmm! That's good!
King: Hey, lemme try some!
Eda: Pipe down. *grabs a spoon full, gives it to King* Here.
King tastes it, loving it.
King: So good!
Eda: Yeah, it is.
King: By the way, do you think he'll be back soon?
Eda: He's better. I know he has to get stronger and can take care of himself, but I don't like him being out long like this. Also, the weather out there isn't looking good.
King: But it's not boiling rain, is it?
Eda: It's not. But still... *thinking* Actually, now that I think about it... When he said he'd be on his own to practice a special move, I noticed him looking at me. I wonder what he could be planning...
Outside, Luz, Amity, and Gus stood in a triangular formation. The air crackled with energy as they focused on linking their powers to Sora's. They noticed that, like before, Sora's power felt overwhelming to them. But this time, it was even more overwhelming than before, not knowing how. And because of that, the trio started to lose focus.
Luz: Come on, guys! We've got this!
Amity kept her eyes closed, beads of sweat forming on her brow as she concentrated on the link.
Amity: *murmuring* Man! It's like Sora's power is perpetually surging!
Gus tried to visualize the connection, imagining their magic flowing into Sora like streams into a river. But it wasn't working.
Gus: Aw, man. What's he doing out there?
Meanwhile, Kairi and Willow were locked in their sparring match a short distance away. Their Keyblades clashed with metallic clangs, echoing across the training field. Kairi, her face set with determination, moved with graceful precision, but there was a lingering hesitance in her strikes, a sign that she was still regaining her combat edge.
With her green hair swaying with each movement, Willow noticed Kairi's uncertainty and pressed her harder, forcing her to react on instinct.
Willow: You're doing good, Kairi.
Kairi nodded, gritting her teeth as she pushed herself to match Willow's pace.
Kairi: Thanks, Willow. I just need to—
Eda walked out to the house and called out to the teens.
Eda: Hey, Junior Heroes! Lunchtime!
Hearing that irritated Luz a bit.
Luz: Seriously, Eda?
Eda: Oh, yes.
Luz: Ugh.

Before they could enter the house, a deep rumble shook the ground beneath them, and gusts of wind started to spiral around them.
Luz: What the?
Amity: Guys! In the sky!

Everyone turned skyward as a massive shadow loomed over them. Emerging from the clouds, an enormous airship with the silhouette of a raven appeared, its dark hull gleaming in the fading sunlight.
Luz: *gasp* Holy crap!
The ship's sheer size was awe-inspiring yet intimidating, and it descended with a slow, ominous grace.
Eda: What the hell?!
As the airship hovered just above the cliffside, a loud crackle of static filled the air, followed by a booming voice that sent shivers down their spines. And then, a voice could be heard—a female, cold, and commanding voice amplified through a powerful intercom.
"Edalyn! It is time to surrender!"
Luz's heart skipped a beat as she looked at everyone else, who were frozen in place as they recognized the voice.
Teens: Lilith!
While the teens remained in shock, Eda could only glare at the airship as she slowly stepped forward. Just as she does so, everyone sees Lilith walking up to the end of the deck, looking down on them.
Lilith: Now, dear sister! It is time for you to stop being unreasonable! Surrender and come with me now! Emperor Belos still wishes to heal the curse if you give us the chance!
Eda simply grits her teeth as she tightly clenches her fists, refusing to say a word to her.
Lilith: Really? The silent treatment? Very well! If you refuse to come willingly, then we'll drag you by force! And this time, we have much more powerful means of doing so! So powerful that not even your bodyguard can stop us this time! By the way, where is he?
Everyone stayed silent, giving Lilith the answer she needed.
Lilith: He's NOT here? Well, then, that's perfect. That'll make things easier...for me. ATTACK!
As the airship descended a little further, Luz pulled out her phone and pressed a button to contact Sora. As she put her phone away, the group braced themselves, ready for whatever was about to come next. The training session was over. Now, it was time for the real fight.
Sora stood on the tallest plateau of the Knee, his breath coming out in ragged puffs as he wiped the sweat from his brow. The cold air stung his lungs, but he felt accomplished. He had finally perfected the special move he had been working on today. An attack that combined speed, strength, and precision into a single, devastating strike. The snow around him bore the marks of his training—scattered ice crystals glittering in the air around them.
Just as Sora was about to take a moment to savor his success, his Gummiphone buzzed urgently in his pocket. Frowning, he pulled it out and saw Luz's name flashing on the screen. He pressed on the notification and saw a message that said:
"Lilith's back! Help!"
Sora stared at the message, his mind racing and expression darkening. There was no time to waste. After replying with a message and a determined look, he shoved his Gummiphone back into his pocket and powered up his magic. Once done, he launched himself into the air, the force of his takeoff kicking up a swirl of snow and ice.
The cold wind whipped past Sora's face as he soared through the dark, cloudy sky, his eyes focused in the direction of the Owl House. The distance was great, but he pushed himself to fly faster. His mind was filled with thoughts of the safety of his friends and Lilith. He remembered all too well what happened the last time they encountered each other. And the more he thought about it, the angrier he became—so much so that his eyes began glowing red.
Sora: Lilith...
Back at the Owl House, Luz stood beside Eda, her staff clenched tightly in her hand. Her eyes flicked nervously between the airship and the figures of Steve's coven scouts advancing on the ground, coming from corridors of darkness.
Luz: Oh, great. Company.
Eda: *to Willow and Gus* Do you two think you can handle them?
Willow/Gus: Can do.
Eda: Great. But not alone. Hooty!
Hooty slithers next to the heroes.
Hooty: Gotcha covered. Hoot!
Willow: Alright then.
Gus: Let's go!
Kairi: Wait.
Everyone turns to Kairi.
Kairi: I'm helping too.
Eda: Kairi, you sure? You're not exactly at full strength yet.
Kairi: I know, but I can't sit on the sidelines forever. The least I can do is provide distance.
Eda and the others paused a bit but then nodded.
Eda: Okay. Hooty, while you fight, make sure you stay close to her. And remember, no Keyblades. Can't let Lilith and her cronies figure you out.
Willow/Gus/Kairi: Right!
Hooty: Let's go!
Willow, Gus, Kairi, and Hooty made their way to Steve and his squadron.
Eda: *to Luz and Amity* We'll take on Lilith. If Sora shows up in time, we'll let him have the final dibs.
Luz grinned though her heart pounded in her chest.
Luz: You bet. By the way, I send a message to Sora. He's already on the way back as we speak.
Eda: Good.
Amity: *cracks her knuckles* This is perfect. I've been wanting a chance to give Lilith some payback for her "help" back at the Covention.
Eda: Then let's go!
The three hopped on Owlbert and flew straight up to the deck of the airship, where they landed and met face-to-face with Lilith.
Lilith: Ah, here you are. And I see you've brought your little human girl and...*sees Amity* Amity!?
Amity: Long time no see, "Master."
Lilith: Amity! What are you doing with Eda!? You know how dangerous it is to be affiliated with wild witches! What would your parents say about this?
Amity: Hmph.
Lilith: Come here, now. I'll protect you. After this is over, and when I take you to your parents, I'll talk to them and—
Suddenly, Lilith became winded when something struck her gut. Which turned out to be from Amity shooting a ball of ice at her.
Amity: Shut your mouth.
Once Lilith recovered, she became shocked at what Amity had done.
Amity: You're not telling my parents anything. Also, the only danger here is you. And because of that, you're going down.
Lilith: What a shame...you were the best student.
Amity: Until you decided to cheat on my duel back then. Which reminds me... *summons abomination gauntlets, punches them together* Consider this beat-down payback!
Amity launches at Lilith with her gauntlets winded up and ready to strike.

The rest of the team was engaged in their own battle on the ground. Willow, Gus, and Kairi faced off against Steve and his forces, a swarm of coven scouts pouring out from the forest. Willow's vines surged from the earth, wrapping around the scouts and pulling them to the ground, while Gus used his illusions to confuse and disorient their enemies. Kairi, spinning her twin blades of light, cut through the scouts with precision, deflecting blasts of magic as she fought.
Standing at the forefront of the scouts, Steve raised his spear and pointed it at Willow.
Steve: We don't know why you kids are with the Owl Lady, but you realize you're in a lot of trouble for fighting back?
Willow: We know.
Gus: And we don't care.
Hooty: And since you come up to our territory...
Kairi: You're gonna get hurt!
That's when one of the scouts noticed Kairi.
Coven Scout #1: Hey! Isn't that the girl that was in our castle?
Coven Scout #2: Yeah! And she's also wanted by the Emperor! Only alive!
Coven Scout #3: Let's get her!
Willow, Gus, and Hooty huddled in front of Kairi, ready to fight.
Willow: You want her?
Gus: You'll have to go through us!
Hooty: No one takes our friend!
Coven Scout #1: You think you can stop us, runts?
Willow: *smirks* Actually...yeah! *summons vines*
At her command, the vines lashed out vigorously, creating a living wall that separated the scouts from the house. Gus added his illusions, making it seem as though more fighters were joining their ranks, further confusing Steve's forces.
Hooty: Okay! It's my turn now!
Amidst the chaos, Lilith glances below at Hooty as she blocks an attack from Amity with a dark barrier.
Lilith: That infernal house demon...fortunately, I've come prepared for that. GO FORTH!
Suddenly, a new presence emerged. From the Raven's Keep, descended a massive black bird, its feathers shining like polished obsidian. Its eyes gleamed with yellow glows of malice as it landed on the roof, glaring down at the Owl House. Hooty sensed its presence, and his serpentine body coiled as he gazed up at the bird.
Hooty: Hoot! You dare approach my territory?!
The raven demon let out a harsh, cawing screech, then spoke with a female raspy voice.
Raven Demon: I am Roth, guardian of the Raven's Keep and the newest recruit of the Emperor's Coven. Prepare to be plucked, owl freak!
Hooty narrowed his eyes.
Hooty: Oh, it is ON!
Roth swooped down with a flap of his wings, talons outstretched toward Hooty. The owl demon countered by launching himself upward, his long body twisting like a whip. The two creatures collided midair, feathers and screeches flying as they wrestled for dominance. Roth's sharp beak slashed at Hooty, who responded by wrapping himself around the raven and squeezing tightly.
Roth: Get off me, you noodle!
The Raven Demon flapped its wings furiously to break free.
Aboard The Raven's Keep, Amity stood at the forefront, her abomination gauntlets raised, her eyes locked on Lilith, who stood at the opposite end of the deck, her figure cloaked in swirling shadows. Beside Luz, Amity clenched her fists, eyes narrowed, while Eda readied her staff for a fight.
Lilith: I must admit...you have gotten stronger, Amity.
Amity: I don't need your praise.
Lilith: Very well. Then you shall have pain. *raises staff* Dark Thundera!
Black and purple lightning struck Amity from the dark clouds above, causing her to scream in pain.
Luz: Amity!
Luz immediately charged at Lilith with fire magic swirling in her hands.
Eda: Luz!
Luz: Fira!
With both hands, Luz launched Fira balls at Lilith, causing her to lose focus by deflecting them long enough for Amity to break free.
Luz: Amity! Are you okay?
The human girl uses Cura to heal the young Blight's battle damage.
Amity: I'm fine.
Luz: Come on. Lemme help you up.
Amity lets Luz do so while Eda steps to the forefront.
Eda: Alright, you kids hang back. I'll deal with this.
Lilith's eyes, gleaming with malevolent power, flickered toward Eda, a cruel smile tugging at her lips.
Lilith: So, you finally decided to face me?
Eda went silent, glaring at Lilith.
Lilith: Seriously? Not in a talking mood?
Eda stayed silent, still glaring at Lilith.
Lilith: Ugh.
With a flick of her wrist, tendrils of shadow magic whipped forward from around Lilith. Eda reacted instantly, casting a radiant barrier of light magic that absorbed the attack. She then cast a barrage of Fira spells around Lilith. But Lilith simply waved her hand, and the fire dissipated, swallowed by the darkness.
Lilith: Okay. I've grown weary of this.
Eda: ...
Lilith: Hmm. I was saving it for your bodyguard...
Eda's right eye twitched in anger hearing that.
Lilith: But since he's not here yet, and I'm on a schedule, I'll unleash my secret weapon.

Lowering her head and snapping her fingers, Eda felt the wind grow colder, and the air seemed to ripple as a corridor of darkness opened in front of her from the floor. From within it, a figure ascended. Eda, Luz, and Amity felt their hearts stop as soon as they recognized the figure's shape.
Out of the swirling darkness emerged Sora. Or at least, it looked like him. His familiar spiky hair and the unmistakable silhouette of a Keyblade in his hand were there, but his eyes were empty, replaced with glowing yellow eyes. His entire body and clothes were completely black. This was not the Sora they knew. Lilith's head remained lowered.
Lilith: Behold! A perfect dark reflection of your dear friend. Appropriately named Shadow Sora!
Eda, angered at Lilith for essentially creating a bastardized replica of Sora, still refused to respond to Lilith's words. Luz and Amity felt the same way as Eda but were still curious as to how she created the dark replica.
Luz: How did you make this...THING!?
Lilith: *taunting* Oh? You wish to know, human?
Amity: Tell us!
Lilith: Hmph. Since my former star pupil wishes to know, I'll tell you. You see... It all began shortly after Eda's... "visit" to Belos's castle...

Maleficent stood before a grand obsidian table in a twisted, gothic chamber, bathed in the eerie glow of green flaming candles. The Wailing Star, which she and Pete had captured a while ago, hovered above in a shadowy sphere, a pulsating mass of chaotic energy, its unearthly cries reverberating through the stone walls. Its energy, dark and twisted, was like nothing else in existence, and it was through this force that she would create the ultimate weapon—a shadowy clone of the boy who had defeated her and her allies.
Pete, her bumbling yet loyal sidekick, stood beside her, holding an empty book and a quill pen to write down all the information that Maleficent was relaying to him regarding the strengths and feats that Sora had accomplished to the best of their memory. His brow was furrowed as he tried to keep up the pace while his eyes darted between the book and the Wailing Star.
At the far end of the room, watching intently, stood Emperor Belos. His golden mask hid his expression, but his posture exuded dark anticipation. Beside him, Lilith kept her gaze locked on the process, her hands clasped tightly together as she suppressed her anticipation. Her eyes occasionally darted to Vanitas, the dark Keyblade wielder who leaned casually against a pillar, his face twisted into a smug smirk under his mask. He seemed almost amused by the spectacle and enjoyed the Wailing Star's cries, which were a perfect source of negativity for him.
Maleficent raised her staff, its pointed tip glowing with sinister light. The Wailing Star shrieked as if responding to her will, its form warping and bending, its energy rippling outward like the surface of a disturbed pool.
Maleficent: We cannot deny it. The boy wields formidable power. But he is his own worst enemy at times. As such, that flaw will be molded to serve our will. And now, we shall create his shadow…a reflection born of darkness.
Pete shuffled forward, holding up the book for Maleficent to see. She waved her hand dismissively, and the pages of the book began to flip wildly on their own, stopping at a page marked by a perfect drawing of Sora. Maleficent extended her hand, and the ink on the page lifted, swirling into the air like black smoke. With a flourish of her staff, she directed the ink toward the Wailing Star.
The Star's cries grew louder, its light flickering wildly as the ink fused with its essence. The air thickened with a sense of malevolence, tangible darkness that seemed to sap the warmth from the room. Vanitas chuckled, clearly enjoying the spectacle.
Vanitas: *thinking* Oh, yeah. Keep screaming for me. I love it.
Belos's voice cut through the air, cold and commanding.
Belos: I assume this creation will be more than a mere copy?
Maleficent: I imagine it so. This construct should not only rival Sora in terms of power, but it will also embody the darkness that Sora so naively rejects. A creature born of shadow…and forged with purpose.
Vanitas: I hope it doesn't end up as much of a disappointment as the real Sora. Heh.
Lilith's gaze hardened, her mind racing as the process continued. Her thoughts kept drifting to her previous encounter with Sora—which ended with nothing but brutality, which gave her hellish nightmares. And here, now, was a darker version of that boy being born. She wondered if this clone would actually carry out her orders… or if this one would be just as brutal as the original.
As Maleficent began to chant, the Wailing Star's light dimmed, casting long, dancing shadows across the room. Under her direction, Pete took the quill pen and began to scribble. Every line, every stroke, seemed to ripple through the air and merge with the energy of the Wailing Star. As he drew, a form began to take shape within the Star's core—a black silhouette of a boy with spiky hair, the unmistakable outline of Sora.
Pete's hands shook as the form solidified.
Pete: *nervous* Maleficent, is it supposed to look so…scary?
Maleficent: Of course, fool! It is a weapon of darkness!
Finally, with a final crack of energy, the Wailing Star let out one last mournful wail, which filled Vanitas with a sense of euphoria, and the room plunged into silence. The figure within the Star stepped forward, its form materializing before them. Sora's unmistakable shape, but with twisted, dark features—a cold, emotionless face, eyes glowing with a sickly yellow hue, and his body cloaked in complete darkness.
Maleficent: *smiling wickedly* Behold! Shadow Sora! Born from the depths of darkness itself!
Vanitas pushed off the pillar, walking toward the clone, his Void Gear Keyblade appearing in his hand. He tilted his head, studying Shadow Sora with a bemused smirk.
Vanitas: It looks like he has potential. Let's see if he can use it.
Shadow Sora's eyes locked onto Vanitas, and momentarily, the room was filled with an overwhelming sense of dread. His Keyblade materialized in his hand, dark as night, and with a swift, fluid motion, he clashed with Vanitas's blade. The force of the impact sent a shockwave through the room.
Vanitas: Huh... this'll be fun.
Belos remained still, observing the clash with a calculating gaze.
Belos: ...Promising.
Maleficent, with her staff still glowing, watched with satisfaction as Shadow Sora battled Vanitas. Her creation was perfect in her mind—a weapon forged from darkness, bound to their will. And soon, it would be unleashed.

After Lilith finished her explanation, the trio utterly disdained her.
Amity: You freaking hag.
Luz: Wow. What's your plan? Make a fake Sora, hoping that it could beat the original? You and the cronies must've been REALLY butthurt about Sora winning.
Eda suppressed her desire to laugh aloud, having Luz's exact thoughts. Especially with the thought that no mere copy could ever defeat Sora. In fact, what Luz said next really sealed the deal for her.
Luz: You all wasted your time. I bet if Sora was here now, he'd instantly wipe the floor with this fake.
Eda snorted and almost burst into laughter in agreement with Luz, which everyone noticed. She even gave her a thumbs-up, which Luz returned.
Lilith sneered at the trio's reaction.
Lilith: If you're truly confident in that boy's prowess against this creation, then perhaps...
Lilith raised her head, and what was seen shocked the trio. Along with a sinister grin, her eyes became completely yellow, and her body was then surrounded by darkness.
Lilith: You would like to test his strength personally. After all...my Emperor and allies have good expectations of him.
Back at the castle, in the throne room, Belos, sitting on his throne, is watching the battle unfold with Maleficent, Pete, and Vanitas in company. While Maleficent and Pete are standing, Vanitas is sitting in midair with his legs crossed.
Belos: Let us see how well our creation will fare...
Maleficent: Indeed.
Vanitas: *thinking* ...Luzy~. You and your chumps are in for a rude awakening.~ Especially if Sora doesn't show up in time~.
Seeing Lilith in this state confirmed one thing to the trio, darkening their expressions.

Lilith stepped back, allowing Shadow Sora to step forward, his Keyblade dragging against the deck, sending sparks into the air. Without a word, he charged.
Luz barely managed to block his strike by casting Barrier, but the force of the blow sent her skidding backward. She winced as the vibrations ran up her arms. Amity quickly summons an abomination to attack the dark replica, but Shadow Sora destroys it with a single strike, moving with unnatural speed and precision. Seeing this made both Amity and Luz panic.
Luz: Okay... Even for a clone, Sora is way stronger than us.
Amity: Yeah... We should've seen that coming. *to Eda* Eda? Think you can handle the fake whole Luz and I handle Lilith?
Eda: Gladly.
Eda leaped into action, summoning a massive gust of wind that swept across the deck.
Eda: Show me what you've got, faker!
The dark replica was fast. With a quick flick of his Keyblade, he slashed through the gust, dispersing the spell as though it were nothing. Eda's eyes widened as Shadow Sora lunged at her, knocking her off balance and sending her tumbling across the deck.
Eda: Okay...tougher than I thought.
As Eda was handling Shadow, Sora, Luz, and Amity used a potion to heal themselves and got ready to fight Lilith.
Lilith: I don't want to waste my time battling a mere human child.
Luz: Mere child? Did you forget that Eda, Sora, myself, and a few other allies mopped the floor with you? I was with Sora when we took down Kikimora AND Belos himself. I'm sure I can handle you. *glances at Amity, then at Lilith* And this time, I have more friends to back me up!
Amity: That's right!
Lilith: *sigh* Let's get this over with.
Out in front of the Owl House. Willow, Gus, Kairi, and Hooty were doing their best to defeat the coven scouts.
Willow: Come on!
The ground shook as thick roots shot up, entangling several scouts before they could even react. Willow's magic flared as she controlled the wild plant life, weaving it into a defensive barrier.
Gus: My turn!
Gus's body glowed with a vibrant blue light, and with a sweeping gesture, he conjured illusions, doubling their numbers. Suddenly, the battlefield was filled with dozens of Guses, all ready to fight.
Guses: Can you guess which is real?
Steve cursed under his breath.
Steve: Alright, no more games. Move in!
The scouts charged, scattering illusions as they pushed forward.
Gus: Wuh-oh. Maybe they'll like this. Aerora!
Gus summoned swirling gusts of wind, knocking scouts off their feet while Willow used her vines to trap others in place. But despite their efforts, a few scouts broke through, heading straight for Kairi.
Kairi inhaled deeply from her position and began building fire magic around her.
Kairi: Okay. It's been a while...but here goes nothing. Flower...Shoot!
With enough energy built up, Kairi fired a golden ball of light that homed in on the incoming coven scout and exploded with fire upon impact. The force was just strong enough to knock the scouts backward before they could get too close.
Kairi: *phew* Okay, so far so good.
Meanwhile, Hooty was locked in combat with Roth on the roof of the Owl House. She swooped and clawed at him, her black feathers shining like dark steel. Hooty twisted his body in loops, his long-form dodging Roth's razor-sharp talons.
Hooty: This is my territory! Begone!
Roth hissed, her voice dripping with malice.
Roth: You'll have to do better than that, worm!
She dive-bombed Hooty with blinding speed, slashing at him with her wings. But Hooty countered, spinning his serpentine body and using his beak to knock her back.
On the ground, Steve noticed his scouts were faltering. Frustration etched on his face, he raised his staff, a blast of fire lighting up the air. A wave of scorching heat raced toward Willow and Gus.
Willow reacted instantly, creating a massive wall of thick vines to absorb the blast. But the fire was relentless, quickly burning through her defenses.
Willow: Kairi! We need help!
Kairi: On it!
Without hesitation, Kairi cast Wateraga. A massive splash of water slammed into Steve's fire spell, snuffing it out before it could reach her friends.
Willow: Thanks!
With Steve momentarily distracted, Gus seized the opportunity. He raised his hands and created a massive illusion of a colossal dragon, roaring and stomping toward the scouts. Even Steve faltered, his eyes widening at the sight. Kairi smiled from her distance.
Kairi: Perfect.
While the scouts scrambled in confusion, Willow charged in, knocking them off their feet with vines and magic blasts, while Gus's illusion kept their attention divided.
Hooty, up in the sky, let out a triumphant laugh as he slammed Roth to the ground with his body whip.
Hooty: I win! You lose! Hoot!
Roth snarled, her wings beaten, and with a flap of them, she vanished into the shadows.
Steve: No! Roth!
Willow: *ahem* Oh, coven scouts!
Steve and the remaining turned to see Willow, Gus, Hooty, and Kairi ready to continue the fight.
Willow: Let's finish this.
Back aboard the airship, Luz unleashed a flurry of attacks—ice, fire, lightning—but Lilith dodged them all with terrifying ease. She raised her staff and, in a single sweep, sent a wave of dark magic crashing toward Luz. Amity cried out as Luz was thrown back, her body slamming into the railing of the airship.
Amity: Luz!
Amity's heart was pounding as she saw Luz collapse to the ground, unconscious.
Lilith laughed, her voice filled with cold triumph.
Lilith: Foolish human. Do you see it now? You may have some skill on your own, but without Edalyn's bodyguard around, you're hardly a challenge.
Amity scrambled to her feet, making her way to Luz to see if she was badly hurt. Fortunately, she wasn't, but she was semi-conscious. That said, the young Blight felt her blood boil for what Lilith had done to Luz.
Amity: Luz...
Luz: Hey, Amity. Would you mind if you tag in? I could use a bit of a nap right now.
Amity: No, no. No napping. Here. Take this potion.
As soon as Amity gave Luz a potion, she nodded, drinking it and healing from the effects. After which, the youngest Blight turned to Lilith with an angry look.
Amity: You'll regret that!
Lilith: Oh, please. Don't embarrass yourself by thinking you can handle me. After all, I've taught you everything you know.
Amity: ...Not everything.
In a flash, Amity summoned a brilliant light around her. The air crackled with energy as her power surged, which surprised Lilith.
Lilith: Wh-what is this?
Amity performed the D-Link and linked with Sora. But something was off; while Amity DID practice with it earlier, confident to be used to Sora's power, this time felt even more overwhelming, almost as if Sora had reached a whole new level.
Amity: *thinking* Woah... Wait. Sora DID say he went to train. I guess he got a good workout today. *to Lilith* Flash Step!
Using their increased speed, Amity unleashed a guard-piercing attack on Lilith, knocking her away across the deck while keeping up her own guard.
Lilith: What in the—
Amity: Sunray Blast!
Amity hovered in the air with a surge of energy and launched a series of light projectiles at Lilith. The number of projectiles was greater than before, but Lilith was fast. She cast a Dark Barrier and successfully blocked all the attacks.
Amity: What!? That should've worked!
Lilith: I don't know where you learned that spell, Amity. But I must admit, it was rather impressive. I'd expect no less from my former pupil. That said, you're still a child, while I have layers of experience ahead of you. Like so!
With a twirl of her staff, Lilith slammed her staff to the floor, unleashing a surge of Dark Thundera that lit up the deck. Unable to react fast enough, Amity was hit full force with it, screaming from the surge. Lilith continued the onslaught until she felt something struck her head, breaking her focus.
Lilith: *looks around* Who did that!?
The culprit was Luz, who shot a ball of ice at Lilith with an ice glyph.
Luz: Good thing I still got these.
Lilith: Hmph. Pitiful tactics.
Luz tossed a potion toward Amity, giving her a chance to drink and heal as Lilith advanced toward Luz.
Luz: My turn now!
Lilith: Do try better this time.
Shadow Sora raised his Keyblade as they battled, spinning it in a dark arc. A barrier of shadows erupted around him, absorbing a lightning bolt attack from Eda, doubled the power with his own energy, and then reflected it back at Eda. The impact was overwhelming. Eda was thrown back, her lightning magic dissipated, then fizzled, and she crashed.
Eda: Sheesh. This faker is tougher than I thought. Almost as tough as the real deal.
Shadow Sora stood amidst the chaos, unharmed, his cold eyes still locked on them.

But before they could continue, everyone heard Luz scream for help. They turn to see Lilith smirking as she has Luz surrounded in darkness, completely immobilizing her and hanging her over the ship and above the boiling sea.
Lilith: I've had enough of you, human. *turns to Eda* Edalyn! It's time to cease your rebellion. Surrender now and come with me to the castle. I promise you. Belos WILL heal your curse, and we can finally move on from this.
Eda snarled loudly, still refusing to talk to Lilith until Amity spoke up.
Amity: Lilith! Let her go now!
Lilith: Silence, Amity! *to Eda* Last chance, sister! Surrender now, or your human apprentice falls to her doom! And I know she cannot fly.
Luz: Eda! Don't listen to her! I'll get out of this somehow!
Lilith: And how exactly will you be able to do that?
Luz replies with one simple word.
Luz: Thundera!
Said spell cast by Luz almost had the chance to strike Lilith down from the darkened clouds above, but Shadow Sora intervened by blocking the spell with his Keyblade. Lilith simply laughs at this.
Lilith: Human. That was truly pitiful. Did you all forget that I have my creation here? In any case, I'm done with you now. You wish to fall? So be it.
Lilith drops the darkness, dropping Luz in the process. Luz screams as she begins falling fast, plummeting towards the boiling sea, horrifying the heroes.
Kairi/Witches: LUUUUUZ!
Amity tries to move towards the railing, But Lilith traps her in a Dark Barrier.
Lilith: That's enough out of you, Amity. And I'm sure your parents will have a lot to say to you.
Eda: NOOO!
Eda tried to use her staff to fly down and save Luz, but Shadow Sora suddenly appeared behind her, grabbed the back of her head, and slammed her to the floor, firmly planting his other hand on her shoulder and a knee onto her back to pin her down.
Eda: DAMN IT!
Lilith stepped forward, feeling triumphant.
Lilith: It's over...

Lilith: You don't need her or anyone else. Just me and the Emperor's Coven. Now, we can finally end this debacle between us and start healing.
Eda furiously glared at Lilith, growling and snarling. Wishing to break free to beat Lilith into the ground.

Everyone widened their eyes as they instantly recognized the voice. Eda and Amity immediately turned to the source with excitement, whereas Lilith shuddered and slowly did so. They all then saw who it was, none other than Sora, who was floating in the air above everyone and carrying Luz in his arm, bridal-like.
Meanwhile, just as they had finished piling up the last of the defeated Coven Scouts together, Kairi, Willow, Gus, and Hooty looked up to see the same thing, all excited.
Heroes: *excited* SORA!
Luz turned to Sora, grateful, sighing in relief, and swooned a little.
Luz: My hero~.
Sora shook his head in amusement.
Sora: *sigh* I leave you guys alone for a little over half the day. Look what happens... You all throw a wild party!
Luz: *giggle* And now, the guest of honor has arrived.
Sora: Right.
Sora then turns to see Lilith and locks eyes, who nervously yet fiercely locks back.
Sora: Well, look who it is. I'm almost certain SHE wasn't on the guest list.
Luz: Nope.
Sora: Thought so. I'll take it from here. But first.
Sora, with Luz, teleports away and into the ground to drop off Luz with the others, telling them that they'll talk later, watch, and enjoy the show he'll put on, teleporting back to the ship. Without saying a word, Sora uses both hands to point his index and middle fingers together, his left aimed at Shadow Sora, blasting him off of Eda. His right aimed at the Dark Barrier, destroying it and setting Amity free.
Lilith: NO!
Eda: *phew* Thanks a lot, kiddo!
Amity: Sora!
Both Amity and Eda ran up to the boy and hugged him, which he returned.
Sora: Eda, you good enough to take Amity back to the house?
Eda: Can do.
Sora: Alright. Like I told Luz, I'll take it from here.
Eda: Alright. Good luck, kiddo. Let's go, baby Blight.
Amity: *nods* Mm!
Eda summons Owlbert's staff, and she and Amity hop on and fly back down to regroup with the others. They all cheered for Sora's return, yelling for him to end this fight and show them what kinda of training he's done. He yells back that he will, then turns back to Lilith.
Sora: You know, I kinda figured after what happened...LAST time...
Lilith shuddered, instinctively taking a step back.
Sora: You wouldn't have the nerve to show up again. Or at least, this soon. Lemme guess: Belos wants revenge, everyone else wants revenge, you still want to catch Eda, yadda yadda yadda.
Lilith began sneering at Sora's carefree rant. Sora then noticed a black silhouette figure resembling him standing next to Lilith.
Sora: Okay. I'll bite. What the heck is that?
Lilith suddenly regained her confidence. As she began to explain, Shadow Sora stepped forward.
Lilith: This is Shadow Sora. A dark replica created by Maleficent and Pete. The two provided their extensive knowledge of your strengths, feats, and skills. And he has become even stronger with the power of darkness at his disposal. Essentially, he is designed to be your superior in every way.
Shadow Sora then entered his battle stance, ready to fight. While Lilith expected hesitation from Sora, he gave off an opposite reaction. Sora simply yawned at Lilith's words and his dark replica, which irritated Lilith.
Lilith: *growling* Nonchalant, are we?
Sora: *smirks* Yeah. And you'll see why soon enough. *to Shadow Sora* you were made to beat me, huh? Alright, then. *motions his hand to come at him* Show me what you've got!
Sora and his dark replica hovered midair, and Shadow Sora made the first move by rushing at Sora, their Keyblades clashing with deafening force. Lilith watched with a smirk, tugging at the corners of her lips.
Lilith: He doesn't stand a chance. Not this time.
Her confidence was palpable as Shadow Sora pressed the attack, driving Sora back with a flurry of dark energy and blinding strikes.
Eda, Luz, Amity, Willow, Gus, and Kairi watched anxiously on the ground below. And yet, despite that, they have full confidence in their friend.
Meanwhile, with his eyes calm and focused, Sora was flying backward all over, dodging his dark replica's attacks. With a flash of light, Sora blocked one of Shadow Sora's powerful strikes, locking into a struggle hold. And this was exactly what Sora wanted. In a split second, his Keyblade glowed with a fierce white light.
Sora: Perfect!
He shot upward, breaking away from the dark replica. Hovering in the sky, Sora raised his Keyblade high. The dark clouds split open with a blinding light as Sora summoned an immense surge of magic. This made Lilith rather nervous.
Lilith: *eyes widened* No…
Sora: Light!
In one swift motion, Sora brought his Keyblade down, releasing an explosive beam of light that tore through the stormy skies. The impact was instantaneous. Shadow Sora barely had time to react before the light engulfed him completely, his form dissolving into nothingness, leaving not even a trace behind.
The battlefields fell silent.
From below, Luz was the first to react, her eyes wide in awe.
Luz: *stammering* D-did...did he just...?
She paused, but Amity grabbed her hand and shouted before she could finish.
Amity: He did! He destroyed him in one strike!
Gus: Awesome!
Gus's voice was full of excitement. Willow smiled broadly, her eyes sparkling with pride as she looked up at the sky.
Willow: Just like that! What kind of training did he do in that amount of time?
Kairi, a mix of relief and admiration flooding her features, cheered louder than the rest.
Kairi: Whooo!
Eda: Way to show 'em who's boss, kiddo!
Eda's voice cut through the cheers, her wild grin showing no restraint as she joined in the applause.
But as the cheers echoed through the air, Lilith stood frozen. Her pale face, once brimming with confidence, now twisted in disbelief and fear. Her voice trembled as she took a step back, her heart racing.
Lilith: Impossible... That was supposed to be his superior... And yet... He destroyed him with one attack...
Meanwhile, the Dark Alliance was still watching at the castle, having just witnessed the events unfold.
Vanitas: Well, this just got interesting.
Pete: Uhhh...
Maleficent: ...It seems... We have... Miscalculated Sora's true strength...
Belos: Evidently.
Pete: To be fair, we're still trying to figure out the full extent of the Star's power.
Vanitas: Back to the drawing board then, ya dunce.
Pete: Hey!
Kairi spoke up loud to Sora.
Kairi: Sora! Was that the move you were talking about?
Sora looked down at his friends.
Sora: Actually, no!
Sora glanced at Eda, which she noticed again.
Sora: But you're about to see it now!
Sora then turns to Lilith, who is still too prettified to move.
Sora: Oh yeah. I was gone throughout the day because I was out training, trying to master one special move—a special move I saw someone perform in our last fight.
Suddenly, everyone felt tense, as if pressure was building up all around to where the ground and even the air began rumbling. Even the thick, dark clouds began to dissipate.
Sora: Let me...show you...
[End Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance -Link To All- Extended]
The pressure intensified even more, made evident by Sora, who caused it by powering up his magic energy in a large surging aura. The display of powering up left everyone shocked.
Lilith: W-what is this power!?
Kairi: Oh, wow...
Luz: Holy— Are you guys feeling this?!
Gus: This is just like our D-Links practice!
Willow: But even more intense!
Eda: Haha! It's like the kid doesn't have a strength limiter!
Amity: *murmuring* Was this what I felt earlier? Incredible!
Lilith wanted to fight back. She wanted to do something. But she couldn't. This pressure she was feeling was just too much for her. All she could wonder was how one kid could have this much power—power over her? Her words to Amity about how she had much more experience and skill just became meaningless now.
[Play Death Battle: Hearts of Light (From the Rooster Teeth Series) (2:26)]
Sora: Alright! Time to end this! *looks down at Eda* Eda!
Eda focused her attention on Sora.
Sora: This special move I've been practicing throughout today was inspired by you. I remember seeing you use it back at the castle, thinking it was one of the coolest things you've ever done.
Eda: Aww, kiddo.
Sora: It was also to thank you for everything. And so, this move...is dedicated to you!
With a huge surging boost of a golden magical aura encasing him, Sora roared out a war cry that echoed for everyone to hear. But what surprised everyone was what he did next. That being summoning a gigantic owl made of golden light behind him that echoed a hoot, just like Eda did back at the castle. But unlike Eda's version, the light hardened, forming into a gold-colored great horned owl construct with glowing white eyes and outline.
Lilith/Steve/Coven Scouts: OH MY TITAN!
Luz/Kairi/Witches/Hooty: GO, SORAAAAA!
Sora: *echoing* OWLLL'S WIIIILLLLLD DRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE!
With all his might, Sora rocketed towards the Raven's Keep and smashed through it with enough force to eradicate it, causing a devastating explosion that made everyone on the ground brace themselves, barely withstanding the force from it all. Debris of the airship flung all over, crashing onto the cliff side and sinking into the boiling sea. And the deed was done. The Raven's Keep was destroyed beyond repair.
As this happened, Eda couldn't help but smile with absolute glee and shed a tear, feeling so honored that Sora had mastered a move of hers in her name and honor.
Eda: *thinking* That's my...
Eda quickly glances at Sora, who looks back with a victorious smile.
Eda: *thinking* That's my boy.
[End Death Battle: Hearts of Light (From the Rooster Teeth Series)]
After everything had settled down, all the defeated coven scouts were piled up together on the path leading to Bonesborough, with a staggering Steve then added to the pile by being blown away by Kairi using Aero.
Kairi: And that's the last one.
Willow: Awesome work, Kairi.
Kairi: Thanks.
The two high-fived.
Suddenly, a corridor of darkness appeared above everyone, and Lilith fell out. She barely managed to escape Sora's attack and landed safely by crouching. She gasped for air to calm herself down.
Lilith: That...was too close.
But her troubles were not over. Lilith looked up to see the heroes with frowns on their faces, ready to finish her off. Lilith gulps nervously as she tries to stand and back away. But what came next rocked her to her core.
An angry Sora descended from the air with his left arm behind him and his Keyblade in his right hand. She sees Sora's eyes glowing red, who then had his Keyblade directly pointing at her with light magic surging onto the tip. Lilith gasped in absolute fear as she fell backward on her posterior, panicking even.
Lilith: N-no... Please don't...
Sora: ...
Eda: Sora!
Sora's eyes immediately went from red to blue, returning to his normal state again.
Sora: *turning around* Eda?
Eda: You did good, kiddo. But lemme take it from here.
Sora nods, floating backward to give Eda and Lilith space while high-fiving the others for their victory. Meanwhile, Eda and Lilith face each other.
Lilith: Edalyn...
Eda: ...
Lilith: Ugh, Edalyn! Would you stop with the silent treatment and just talk to me?!
Eda: You cursed me...
[Play Kingdom Hearts III OST - Distant From You]
Lilith: !
Eda spoke in an intimidating yet calm voice.
Eda: You held Kairi prisoner, you hurt her, and you hurt my kid by making him lose it. And what did it get you? Nearly dying by his hand.
Lilith: I—
Eda: And yet, here you are, not only having the nerve to try and capture me again but also having the nerve to nearly get Luz killed and yammer on how you're still trying to help cure my curse with Belos...after everything...
Lilith: Eda—
Eda: *points at Sora* You see him? Sora?
Lilith: Your bodyguard—
Eda backhands Lilith across her face.
Eda: My SON.
Lilith recoiled from the slap, cupping her cheek.
Eda: In the month I've known him, he became more family than you have in decades. He knew I was a "criminal" when he and I first met. But despite that, he still stood by my side, even after when my curse reared its head. He and Luz, King, and Hooty made me feel less alone. *tears up* ...He was one of the few people who hadn't thought of me as a monster or a freak. One of the few people...who genuinely accepted me.
The teens empathetically looked at Eda, especially Sora.
Eda: Meanwhile, you? You are the opposite. You are the very cause of all the suffering I went through...
Lilith: S-sister—
Eda then kicks Lilith in the stomach, sending her toward the piled-up defeated scouts. Lilith groans from the pain as she tries to stand.
Eda: Don't "sister" me! We're NOT sisters! We're NOT family! Not anymore!
Lilith widened her eyes in shock.
Eda: Sora is my only family now. So, I'm only gonna say this once: Never come near me or MY family EVER again. Cause if you do...
Eda then points her staff at Lilith, gathering magical energy onto Owlbert and petrifying her in fear.
Eda: Then you'll wish we hadn't stopped Sora THAT night.
Lilith, with widened eyes and dilated pupils, didn't respond. She couldn't respond. She knew that Eda meant it. Feeling her earlier resolve crumble, she lowers her head, feeling nothing but absolute defeat.
Lilith: Very well, Edalyn...
Eda raised an eyebrow, as well as the others, hearing Lilith speak so brokenly.
Lilith: However, I cannot stay away. I'm still duty-bound to Emperor Belos to capture you. As well as all other wild witches. Therefore...
Lilith then stands up fully.
Lilith: The next time we meet...will be our last.
Hearing that really caught the heroes off guard. The coven head then raised her staff, activating a corridor of darkness to warp her, Steven, and the defeated coven scouts away. Before they vanished from sight, Lilith said one last thing.
Lilith: Goodbye, Edalyn.
The Emperor's Coven was gone at last, leaving the heroes in absolute silence for only a few moments until Eda broke it.
[End Kingdom Hearts III OST - Distant From You]
Eda: *sigh* That's that.
Luz: Eda...are you gonna be okay?
Eda: ...Yeah...
Eda then turns around, putting on that usual smile of hers.
Eda: Hey, what're we standing around for? We've got some lunch to eat!
The teens were still briefly concerned with Eda, seeing her trying to hide her earlier emotional state, but they decided not to push it.
Luz: Yeah. Sounds good.
The teens agreed until everyone saw Sora stumbling about.
Eda: Kiddo?
Sora: *dizzy* feel...a little...loo-py.
Sora fell to his knees, surprising everyone.
Eda: Kiddo!
[Play Dearly Beloved -Reprise-]
Eda rushed towards Sora and managed to catch him in time before he fell to the ground. Seeing that he was okay, Eda sighed with a smile, holding onto him as if she was cradling him.
Eda: Yeesh, kiddo. You must've really put a lot of power into that move. Very impressive, by the way.
Sora chuckles as Eda pulls out an elixir that Sora had in his pocket and fed it to him. After gulping it all, Sora sighed in relief.
Eda: Better?
Sora hopped back on his feet, stretching his whole body. He then turned around and offered his hand to Eda.
Sora: Better.
Eda hummed in amusement as she took his hand, allowing him to help her stand.
Sora: Alright! Let's eat!
Everyone cheered as they walked back into the house.
Sora: *to Eda* By the way, what'd you make?
Eda: I made that soup called pork ramen.
Sora: Oh, sweet!
Luz/Kairi: YES! RAMEN!
The two girls in question ran inside first and fast, leaving the other's sweat dropped.
Eda: Those two can be like peas in a pod.
Sora: Yup. That's why they're great. Anyway, I'm looking forward to your cooking.
Eda: *chuckles* Glad to hear, kiddo.
Eda ruffles Sora's hair, making him chuckle.
[End Dearly Beloved -Reprise-]
Lilith emerged from the corridor of darkness, her steps heavy with the weight of failure. The familiar chill of Emperor Belos'sBelo's castle wrapped around her, its atmosphere a reminder of her responsibilities and the consequences of her shortcomings. She paused at the threshold of the main hall, her mind racing. Reporting to Belos immediately was her duty, but exhaustion gnawed at her. She needed a moment to collect herself, to gather the shattered pieces of her resolve.
With a weary sigh, she turned down a side corridor, heading towards her quarters, feeling like the walls seemed to close in on her. As she approached her room, the low murmur of voices caught her attention. Lilith froze, her hand hovering over the door handle. It was Belos speaking, his tone cold and calculating. But the second voice sent a shiver down her spine—Vanitas.
Cautiously, Lilith moved closer to the source of the conversation, pressing herself against the wall to remain unseen. She strained to listen, her heart pounding in her chest.
Vanitas: Let me get this straight... You've kept Lilith in line long enough with that empty promise?
Vanitas said, his voice laced with amusement.
Vanitas: The notion of healing her sister's curse?
Belos: Yes.
Lilith's eyes widen.
Vanitas: That is seriously sick and twisted...I love it. But how much longer do you think she'll believe it?
A pause. Lilith's breath hitched. They were talking about her. About Eda. The promise she had clung to was the only reason she had agreed to serve Belos... It had all been a lie?
Belos: She'll believe it for as long as I need her to. Lilith's loyalty is assured as long as she thinks there's hope for Eda. And if she ever finds out the truth, I doubt she'll live long enough to act on it.
Vanitas: Oh, man. I can't believe she's really that naive. And what's even funnier is that SHE'S the one who cursed her. What was she expecting? That she'd be the hero in her sister's life DESPITE cursing her in the first place?
Vanitas laughed, sounding dark and malevolent. Lilith's vision blurred, her legs threatening to give out beneath her. She wanted to scream, to burst into the room and demand answers, but her body refused to move.
Belos: Indeed. On another note, Vanitas. I've been meaning to ask you something.
Vanitas: Yes?
Belos: You always seem to wear that helmet. Why not show your face?
Vanitas: ...Considering I've seen your mug...
Then, as if sensing her presence, Vanitas turned towards the door.
Vanitas: Eh, sure. Why not? Better brace yourself.
Lilith peeked through a small crack just as he removed his helmet. Her breath caught in her throat almost in a choking manner.
Lilith: *panicked whispering* No… it can't be…

Time seemed to stop. Panic surged through her, a tidal wave of fear and confusion. Sora—the boy who had viciously beaten her, who had shown compassion to Eda—was Vanitas this whole time? Her mind raced, trying to reconcile the two images and personas. The possible truth twisted into a nightmarish revelation.
Belos: ...I have...questions...
Vanitas: Sure. Hit me.
To Lilith, the castle walls seemed to close in on her, her surroundings warping as her thoughts spiraled out of control.
Lilith: *hyperventilating, thinking* It's him!? Has it always been him!? It is! This boy…HAS BEEN MANIPULATING EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE ALL THIS TIME!
Her breathing quickened, her chest tightening as if an invisible hand was squeezing the life out of her. The sound of blood rushing in her ears drowned out the rest of the conversation, leaving her trapped in her own terror.
Lilith stumbled back, her hand clutching at her chest as she tried to breathe. She suddenly felt extremely nauseous, covering her mouth with her hand as if preventing herself from vomiting. Gathering what little strength she had left in her entire body, she quietly yet quickly ran to her room, and the last thing she heard before fleeing was the sound of Vanitas's laughter echoing through the corridor.
As she finally made her way to her room, she locked the door and entered her bathroom. She opened up the lid of the toilet, gagged, and let out all the vomit she held down, coughing and crying in the process.
Lilith: *crying* Oh dear Titan! What have I done!? Eda was right about Belos! I made a terrible mistake! And that boy... HE WAS TOYING WITH ME THE WHOLE TIME! TOYING WITH—
Lilith then gasped. In her mind, she remembered that Sora, Vanitas, or whatever he called himself, was close to Eda, believing that Eda was in grave danger.
Lilith: ...T-Titan...help me...
With this conclusion, she believes she must warn Eda at all costs. But she must first leave the castle, leave the Emperor's Coven, and find a safe space to hide and lay low from Belos for a while, knowing that staying here any longer would be dangerous for her.
After cleaning up and refreshing herself, Lilith went to her room, packed up all the stuff she could, and made her preparations to leave. Just as she finished packing, she heard a knock on her door, making her panic.
Lilith: Wh-who is it!?
Steve: It's Steve.
Lilith: Steve?
Lilith unlocked her door and opened it, indeed seeing Steve.
Steve: Hey, I just got back from healing, and I was wondering if you were okay.
Lilith could only silently stare. Doing so made the coven scout notice tear marks on his leader's face and her red puffy, watery eyes.
Steve: Lilith? Have you been crying?
Lilith wipes her tears away.
Lilith: Steve? I have a very important question to ask you.
Steve: Yes?
Lilith: ...Are we friends?
Steve: I—
Lilith: Are we truly friends?
Steve: Of course. We've been since Hexside.
Lilith: If so, I need you.
Steve: Need me? For what?
Lilith: There's no time to explain now. I need to leave the castle immediately. I need to leave the Emperor's Coven immediately. And I don't want to be alone right now. If we are friends, then can I trust you to come with me?
Steve knew from the tone of Lilith's voice that she was being serious. The kind of seriousness that can be heard in emergency situations.
Steve: Yes. I'll follow you anywhere.
Lilith: Thank you. Quickly, we must go now.
With Steve and Lilith huddled together, Lilith raised her staff, opened up another corridor of darkness, and left the castle behind.

Elsewhere, out in a remote forest area, lies a stone pathway with gardens on each side, stretching across to a triangular-shaped house made of stone and wood with a chimney. A pile of logs is placed next to the front door.
At the very front of the stony pathway, a corridor of darkness appears. From it, Lilith and Steve exit, leaving it to close and disappear. Steve looks around, taking in the scenery.
Steve: Nice place.
Lilith: Yes. It is.
Steve: So, where are we and what's going on?
Lilith: This is...my old home. My parents' home. I'm hoping to hide here for a while and talk to them...about everything.
Steve: Okay. But...what about what's going on?
Lilith: The situation we were in before became grimmer than I had imagined.
Steve: What do you mean?
Lilith turns around to face Steve with a stern expression.
Lilith: I just found out the truth...about Belos...AND...Sora.
