So finally we get to some of the content covered in the RPG Book but also it's really great that the PCs are supposed to stay two days resting before their trials because it gives the Boxers and the Turtles some time to do stuff before the trial begins
As the Mutant Students followed the Old Man through the path in the woods bordered by stone lanterns, Rover turned to his friend and fellow canine Goku and said "OK Goku, you were raised by Weeaboos...Do you know how to speak Japanese?"
And The Mutant Shiba Inu blushed under his fur and his ears folded back because despite being obsessed with Anime...He really didn't know how to speak Japanese conversationally...Sure he knew from the internet to Anime buzzwords like 'Kawaii' and 'Baka' but when watching scientist 'parents' Anime DVDs he always preferred to watch the English dub version because he felt he could relate better to the characters when they spoke the language he understood, where his creators felt it more 'authentic' to listen to the original Japanese version and read the subtitles.
All the Mutants were able to keep up through the winding path through the woods, even Shirley even from the rear was able to keep up pushing her Dolly along with her strong tail, she didn't want Stripes the strongest Mutant there to exhaust herself by carrying the one Aquatic Mutant, no Shirley would do her best to not let her handicap inconvenience her Tertatpod Teammates!
Finally they arrived at a picturesque low building, inside was a row of men and woman bowing to them! A woman approached and spoke softly to them…
"Welcome to the Mi-Ko Inn." She said "You are on an island near to that of the White Ronin. It is our traditional role to house the initiates and challengers who will voyage to that terrible place. It will be our pleasure to see to your needs and pleasures while you recover from jet lag and the rigors of your journey. You will stay until daybreak of the day after tomorrow."
Meanwhile Glass Joe decided he wanted to talk with Piston Hondo alone...He left Lily with Bear Hugger for a few hours (Bacon Bit, having become something like Glass Joe's niece even calling him 'Uncle Joe' nowadays was usually Lily's Babysitter but since the Piglet was also gone along with Dana, the Canadian Lumberjack was the other person Glass Joe knew he could trust his his daughter, even before meeting his Bear and Squirrel friends, Bill Pines had taken care of injured wild animals along with the usual cats and dogs during his childhood days in Canada which is probably why he had such great empathy with animals being able to train with a grizzly bear!) While sitting in Piston Hondo's apartment, Glass Joe cradled his usual cup of coffee Hondo had his usual cup of green tea as Joe quietly wept about how unfair this all was and asked Hondo if he could tell him anything about this 'White Ronin'
And Hondo feeling immense sympathy of Glass Joe and Von Kaiser's plights said "The trouble is Joe-San...I've never heard of this White Ronin either."
Joe swiftly lifted his head, his eyes already red and bleary from crying
"The thing about Ninjas is they kept a lot of their secrets shrouded in mystery...Or deliberately spread myths about their supernatural abilities to make people believe they could do impossible things! But this...I have never once in my life...Heard any mention of a 'White Ronin' either as a real historical figure or as something of myth...That's not to say it can't exist but this...That I've never heard of such a White Ronin, raises my suspicion that this is something...As I've heard them say in New York..Not kosher…"
Joe felt his heart start to beat rapidly "So what do you suggest?"
"Joe-San…" Hondo said standing up "...I suggest you rest a take care of your daughter, and watch out for Kaiser-San as well...I feel I am going to have to make some phone calls and emails to certain contacts in Japan...And I will have to do this alone because I suspect this may involve records that have never been translated to any Western language."
So looking at the Punch Out Wiki it says Piston Hondo was featured in a comic that says he is an altruist who raises money for schools and hospitals in the poor parts of the country suggesting he really is a compassionate man who is also very much concerned for the safety of the Mutants
