So in this chapter I show my influence from the Podcast Story Science with DJ Finley who is also a fan of 2003 TMNT and in one of her podcasts about how personality affects character and she gives how she would rewrite TMNT Season 4 where the other three Turtles would have a much more active role in pushing back against Leo's downward spiral instead of just being incredibly passive and just complaining and I REALLY wish her rewrite was what actually happened but rewriting the canon episodes is not my thing rather my stories where my characters help the canon characters improve which is actually something I see as a good thing in TMNT 2003 TMNT's potential writing flaws see them as something fanfiction can explore

That evening the Mutant Students were treated to a Japanese Bath complete with bathhouse girls, There was a divider for the males and the females, with Rover and Goku being the only males in the group the females listened to the two male canines barking and howling and having fun splashing each other and the poor girls trying hard to put up with it without complaint.

"They're being stupid again…" Stripes sighed "...Really Rover only acts this way with Goku and Goku has his own bad influence with Aran Ryan!"
"It's more complicated than it seems…" Dana sighed as she let the bathhouse girls wash her "...All the Boxers tell me that Goku is actually a good influence on Aran, yes Aran has done some bad things like share beer with Goku but all the Boxers have told me that having Goku as a 'Little Brother' figure for him to play with has really softened the Prankster up."
Bacon Bit was also really enjoying the bath, Pigs love baths either in mud or water but she was a little uneasy about being washed by the girls…

For Lovelace and Shirley things were more complicated, Lovelace with her metal arms was unable to submerge herself completely in the water as she couldn't get her arms wet, instead she hung her metal arms over the side of the bath and Shirley did the same by her side...Shirley was a fish but she didn't want to breathe hot bath water so the bath wasn't the most pleasant for her either.

"I notice the girls wrinkling their noses a lot…" Lovelace said quietly "...I don't think they were expecting this much smell of wet dog…" As there were three canines the distinct 'wet dog' odor was filling the bathhouse.

"I also don't think they were expecting there to be more females than males…" Shirley said mildly
"I don't think they were expecting any females at all…" Lovelace said

After the bath they were treated to a delicious Japanese supper...Bacon Bit appreciated that there was much sushi and sashimi as she preferred to eat fish over tetrapod meat, however Shirley was uneasy because she didn't like to eat the meat of fellow fish...So Shirley stuck to the vegetarian foods. Most of the other students who were derived for full-on carnivore species tried some of everything (Albeit not with the best table manners) as the women of the inn provided entertainment.

Meanwhile on First Earth in an Earthport Apartment...Donatello finally returned to the place he had wanted to be all day as he walked in he was humming the Oingo Boingo song 'Wild Sex in the Working Class' which he sometimes felt was the theme song for his and Belladonna's relationship.

"There you are!" The Water Dragoness Belladonna said as she was in her bed alcove reading a book "You missed supper, I put the stew in the fridge, but it hasn't been in there for long so it should warm up pretty quickly."
"Thanks…" Don sighed as he stretched his back "...I've been looking forward to this all day…"

Instead of heading straight to the fridge he went over to the crib where their beautiful baby Andromeda was already peering over the edge smiling at seeing her Father approach

"Oh Andromeda…" Don cooed as he picked up his daughter wearing her 'Maggie Bag' as Mikey called it to keep her from crawling all over the place and potentially getting hurt and Don was incredibly grateful that Water Dragons are not born knowing how to fly, it takes them a few years to realize that. He quietly nuzzled her mane breathing in that sweet new baby smell…

"So…" Belladonna said as she put down the book "What was that emergency you had to be away for so long for?"
And Don sighed and told Belladonna the tale of Leo receiving this mysterious message from the White Lotus who apparently was an old friend of the Ninja Tribunal and apparently wanted to test Leo's best students in a deadly game of death to prove their were worthy of Hamato Yoshi's legacy and then Don looked up and saw the horrified look on Belladonna's face, her jaw dropped and her pupils shrunk to pinpricks and Don realized he was in another moment of culture clash between Humanimal Culture and the culture he was raised with and he braced himself for hearing her telling him that was the stupidest thing she had ever heard and why would you send innocent children to their deaths without even asking some questions first!
After her tirade at which Andromeda started crying and Belladonna felt guilty for yelling/roaring but after mopping the sweat away from her brow...But then she quickly realized something…And she spoke more quietly

"You felt the need to cuddle your daughter because you felt guilty for going along with this stupid plan...All I want to know is...Why...Why didn't you say anything because I know you sensed something wasn't kosher here! It's written all over your face!"
Don felt he was about to cry himself quickly put Andromeda back down in her crib He quickly blurted out "It's Leo! Bell-Bell! You can't talk to Leo about honor! The three of us know that he can take all three of us on at once! That's why we felt we couldn't do anything during his downward spiral after the whole Shredder Ship incident! Even Raph fears Leo when he's in a rage!"
Don sat down on a footstool and held his head in his hands "I knew what we were doing was wrong...But Leo's problem is he thinks like a fantasy novel! And worse all our adventures seemed to serve to reinforce that way of thinking!"

So here is my headcanon why the other three Turtles didn't really do anything during Leo's downward spiral in the first half of season 4 is because in the training session in the Season 1 episode The Shredder Strikes where Leo took down all three of them at once hence the other three fear they can't beat Leo particularly when he's at his worst
