So now that we've finished the Death Traps this part should be the 'Breather Round' because in a lot of these scenarios a fight can be avoided all together if the Ninja Animal is wary enough now it the Death Traps it is emphasized each ones takes three minutes exactly so it has probably taken like maybe a little half an hour at most for each Mutant to select a door and finish their test and if they arrived shortly after daybreak it probably is almost lunchtime by now
After Stripes left her Death Trap she entered a totally dark room...She could make out an exit 20 feet ahead and as a Tiger with night vision she could also make out ninja assassin standing between her and the exit!
He was wearing night vision goggles and lay quietly in wait for his victim...However when he saw his opponent was not only a freaking tiger but she was folding her arms in obvious irritation at this attempt at deception clearly saying in her body language 'Are you going to come over or am I going to have to take the fight to you?' the Ninja was now sweating profusely!
Finally as he was obligated to do his job, the ninja charged with his Kusari-Gama but Stripes was clearly ready for him! With one mighty paw-hand she smacked him in the ribs knocking the wind out of him!
After laying on the floor gasping in pain for a few moments causing Stripes to wonder if she had broken his ribs (And in truth she probably had) The Ninja then crawled away on his hands and knees leaving Stripes free to walk out the exit.
As for Dana after she left her Death Trap she walked into a hallway of sliding paper walls, she could see a stairway 40 feet ahead.
However for a Mutant like Dana one does not survive the kind of upbringing she went through without being incredibly wary of tricks! She remembered the warning that they would 'have to face death three times' So the Mutant Doberman began sniffing all over and although faint at first, because the paper walls were of the traditional variety and also very old she could detect the familiar scent of human coming from the right-hand wall
"Aha!" Dana exclaimed as she detected the ninja assassin right next to her on the other side of the wall...Upon having his hiding place discovered the ninja fled without a fight! And thus Dana was completely free to exit unopposed…
Meanwhile in the Turtles' lair they had gotten Leo awake with smelling salts and Splinter gave him a traditional Japanese cure of Shijimi Soup a kind of miso soup with clams…
"Oh…" Leo groaned as he sipped his soup and massaged his temples with his other hand, "...My head!"
His brothers looked at each other anxiously, they wanted to begin talking to Leo about this whole business with the White Ronin but seeing their brother had already punished himself for sending his best students to what was probably their deaths they wanted to wait until his hangover had died down to talk to him.
Meanwhile Glass Joe was sound asleep in his bed as it was currently 11 PM in NYC when suddenly he was jolted awake by the sound of the phone ringing! As if sensing this was what he was waiting for he rushed to pick it up.
"Joe-San…" It was Piston Hondo
"Oui…" Joe gasped breathlessly
"I just got a call back from my contact in Japan…" Piston Hondo said "...She went all the way to Iga...And she found...Something…"
"I already get the feeling by the sound of your voice that it's not good…" Glass Joe said
"The closest thing to the White Ronin…" Piston Hondo said "...Is the legend of ancient demon!"
So earlier this week Brutalmoose released another Mystery Tape and on that tape was a Burger King commercial from the 80s advertising three different chicken sandwiches one 'Italian' with marinara and mozzarella, one 'French' with ham and Swiss cheese and the American has lettuce, tomato and American cheese the fun thing about that commercial was for each sandwich was someone reciting the ingredients in the Native language while the appropriate music played so in honor of that felt obligated for the chapter to not only feature Dana but Glass Joe as well these Assassin chapters should have more room for the Turtles and the Boxers' subplot as we have seen these encounters with the ninja assassins are not as complex as the death traps
