Chapter 5
Havok and Psyclock stare each other down ready to fight each other.
"Psyclock, I must ask. Why are you so rude to my friends? It's not like we done anything to you." Alex asks.
"HMP. If you truly want to know you are going to need to prove yourself by beating me." She says pulling out her katana.
"Fine by me!" Havok responds just as Jubilee and Dazzler use their powers to make fireworks and beams of light signaling the start of the fight.
When the match starts they rush at each-other within a couple seconds with Alex swinging his fists trying to get a hit on her.
However she dodges his punches with fluent movement then kicks him in the stomach and punches his face knocking him down.
As she goes to stab him, Alex rolls out of the way and gets back on his feet.
"HMP. So you're not worried about being to close to me huh? Aren't you worried about me using my powers?" Alex asks.
"I know how your powers work. You can't control them, shows you're weak." Psyclock responds.
"We will see about that." Havok says getting a cocky smile.
She then gets up and creates a ball of purple energy and blasts it at him as he rolls away.
As Havok gets back up she creates a whip of purple energy and wraps it around his neck, runs, jumps over him, and pulls it tight to choak him out.
However his chest piece starts growling blue, charging up, then he turns around to see Psyclock saying "Gotcha!" as he unleashes a beam of blue energy from his chest hitting Psyclock and knocking her away far!
She looses her grip of the whip with it vanishing and freeing Havok's neck, Psyclock then hits the walls of the arena, cracking it and her landing on the ground injured.
"WOAH! That was awesome!" Alex says getting excited with the audience in disbelief at what they saw.
She gets back up and looks at him with rage, spitting blood out of her mouth then dashing over to him.
Alex sees her coming so he blasts the energy from his chest to hit her, however Psyclock slides under it, then jumps and kicks him in the face.
After kicking him she swings her sword hitting his chest piece, cutting it off and causing it to not work.
"Oh no." Havok says as he tries to use his powers again but they are the uncontrollable energy discs that go around her when he uses his power.
Psyclock then runs over swinging her katana more knowing that Havok's powers are outside of his control now.
Alex does his best to dodge the slashes but one of them cuts his arm as he grabs it to stop the bleeding and rolls away from another cut.
Alex is now breathing heavy, worried knowing he has no chance to defeat her, he then takes a deep breath and thinks to himself.
"(Ok Havok... Think. How do your powers work without the device? They are discs that I throw like a frizbie...Wait...that's it!)" Havok says in his mind.
As she looks over and walks towards him ready to finish the fight, Havok powers up his discs and gets ready to throws them.
She gets a cocky smile knowing his powers don't work and thinking he is using them desperately.
"TAKE THIS!" Havok yells as he throws the discs around Psyclock with her not caring, however they circle around as she looks behind her realizing to late.
They hit her in the back knocking her towards him, with Havok powering up two more and throwing them at her point blank, and blasting her away from him!
She hits the arena floor hard as she is defeated!
"WINNER! HAVOK!" Nightcrawler yells excited as everyone else cheers as well.
"I...I..." Alex says as he looks over and grabs his chest piece.
"I...DID IT! I WON!" Havok yells as he raises his fist into the air victorious to the crowd cheering.
He looks over at Psyclock and walks over offering her a hand up.
She looks at him, scoffs and gets up, walking away from him, leaving him wondering why.
His friends rush over on stage and congratulate him on his victory with him matching their energy, despite feeling off about Psyclock.
Later on Alex and his friends are walking away from the arena but they are greeted by Prof X and all the X Men!
"Woah! All the X Men!" Rockslide says surprised.
"Impressive work Alex and your friends. You all have really impressed me and all the X-Men." Cyclops says with the X-Men nodding as well.
"Heh. Thanks it means a lot. We trained hard." Havok says.
"You know. You all could make good team. The Young X Men or New Mutants you know?" Colossus suggests.
"That would be very awesome." Bobby responds.
"Anyways we just wanted to come by and congratulate all the participants. You all did a great job. Keep up the hard work." Xavier says as he and the X Men head out.
"Well guys. I will meet you guys at the dorm. I need to get my chest piece repaired." Alex says as he waves bye to his friends.
While at Forge's lab he is repairing the device and complete it.
"Here you go. Good as new. But are you sure you need it? You seem to do well without it." Forge asks as he hands it to Alex.
"Well I know. But I would rather not have to worry about my powers messing up while in combat. You know?" He says as he reinstall it.
"I understand. Just saying. You might want to get used to using powers without it. But I get it." Forge says.
"Thank you. Anyways I will catch you later." Havok says as he heads out to the dorm.
Later on Alex and his friends are hanging out at the Dorm room till they hear a knock at the door.
They look at each other confused, but Alex gets up and sees who is at the door.
He opens it and see both Kitty Pryde and Pixie as they wave.
"Hey guys." They says smiling innocently.
"Oh hey, what brings you two here?" Alex asks kinda confused.
"Well, we where thinking about going out with you all having some fun, you know a reward after the tournament." Kitty says.
"OH! Step aside I'm going-" Bobby says till he is stopped by Alex.
"This isn't some trick right? Did Psyclock put you two up to this?" Alex asks being careful.
"No. We just wanted to you know hang out with you guys." Pixie responds.
"I don't know. Thanks for the offer. But we are good." Havok says as he closes the door.
"Hey! What was that for!?" Bobby asks upset.
"Look I know you want some hot girls. But what if they are actually up to something? Think about it." Alex responds.
"He is right. Both of them have powers to get away from us quickly. Giving them the upper hand to pull a trap or something because of jealousy." Rockslide says.
"Hmmm... Fine! I admit it. I have seen animes where women seduce men into traps! I can see your point!" Bobby says ashamed.
"But look on the bright side. I have a fun idea for us all." Alex says.
"Really?" His friends ask.
"We are going out to a club." Alex says
"Nice. but how?" Sunspot asks.
"Well, I know one nearby. It's within walking distance. I think it could be a fun time. But we are going to need to look our best." Alex elaborates.
"Bet. I'm down for it." Bobby and Sunspot respond.
"You guys are lucky to look human. I however am stuck like this." Rockslide says looking at his hands.
"We are not going to leave you out. I have an idea to help you blend in. We are going do it like The Thing." Alex says.
The friends then get on some nice outfits, Alex has a black tank top with his chest piece installed, some black leather pants and black and white converse.
Bobby puts on a blue and black Hawaiian shirt with a simple blue tee with jeans and white shoes.
Roberto has a white jacket black shirt, jeans and black shoes.
With Rock Slide wearing a big brown trench coat, and fedora covering his face along with some brown suit pants.
Night times comes around as they head out for the club!
However watching them is Psyclock!
