Chapter 4: Opening presents and visiting Emperors...part 2

Aquarium Bar

Harry once again returns to the Aquarium Bar where Lunch is served and joins with the other crewmates. He noticed that Zoro is no longer tied to the mast meaning that his punishment is over, and assumes that Sanji is back in the kitchens helping his wife with the meals. As usual Harry greets the crew and they greet him back before taking a seat and helps himself.

Harry once more noticed that Luffy isn't here to stuff his face with food as always, then again he did see him talking to the Yonkou at the deck. Taking his oppotunity again, Harry focused on eating his lunch without the worry of defending it from his dad, much like the other crewmates as it is a nice chance for once to eat in peace without their gluttonous captain trying to sneak his way to their plates.

"Ah, that sure hit the spot" Zoro exclaims in relief while patting his stomach as he finally have food to eat. "I haven't felt this hungry since that time I was tied to a post at the Marine Base in Shell Island."

"You're lucky that your little spat with Sanji didn't ruin Harry's party" said Nami giving the swordsman a frown of warning, which he was taken back by. "Otherwise, you'd be eating nothing but scraps for a month while I add a fine to your already inflating debt you owe me."

"Oh come on, I are you on about that bloody debt?" said Zoro with his usual irritated tone.

"Of course" said Nami as she pulls out her pocket book. "I'm not just the navigator, but I'm also in charge of the crew's finance and you still owe me...I mean the crew a lot of money."

Zoro grumbled at Nami and mutters about something about a greedy witch or something.

"Which reminds me, Mum?" said Harry getting Nami's attention. "I was given 4 chests of treasure from the Fleet Commanders and I wanted to ask you if you can estimate their vaulue for me."

The mention of treasure peaked her interest and she smiled sweetly.

"Of course, I'll go there and see how much they're worth." Said Nami as this was a great opportunity to look at Harry's trove. Look, mind you for she wouldn't dare take her son's own treasure trove...no matter how tempting.

Normally the crew wouldn't trust Nami to check on the treasure as she tends to sneak a handful or two in her pockets, but considering that the treasure is Harry's, there is no concern.

"I notice that we have more guests on board, Yonkou I believe" said Harry "Are they the ones that Dad was talking about?"

"Aye, but they are also here for offical business" said Nami "But I assure you, nothing serious."

Captain's Quarters

Luffy and the Yonkou are now at the Captain's Quarters so that they can have some privacy as they are now dealing another topic. Luffy is sat behind his desk, where he has a skull displayed there and used as a hat rack for his famous Straw Hat. There are 2 reason the Yonkou are here on board the Thousand Sunny due to their neutral afilliation with the Pirate King and those reasons in fact clash by mere convenience. The first reason is that Luffy as summoned them to discuss some business that is crutial for both the King and the Yonkou, and the 2 reason is because they requested to visit Harry and give him each their own gift to celebrate his birthday.

Each of the Yonkou as a soft spot for young Harry as he occasionally visit them via teleportation from his Blink Blink Fruit and they don't mind the young boy's company. Even Shank enjoyed Harry's visits more while the rest merely tolerate the boy's curious intrusion on their ship and never see him as a threat, plus if any harm comes to him would provoke the King and Queens altogether. So they let the boy visit them from time to time and they all start to enjoy his company, even their crew starts to warm up to the prince, even the tough looking ones.

Anyway, meeting with Harry will have to wait for they are needed by Luffy to discuss the topic and reason of their visit: Blackbeard. Ever since the duel between Luffy, Teach fled in defeat and went into hiding. It has been 8 years since any word of Blackbeard was heard, but Luffy and the new Yonkou are not convinced taht he is dead. So, they decided to work together so they can find the coward and gather any information of his whereabouts.

"Nothing...not a word about Teach?" said Luffy

"No, despite rumours about him being alive but there is no solid evidence to confirm that he is alive or dead." Said Law as he sighs tirelessly.

"Not even the underground has any information on sale concerning Blackbeard either" said Katakuri crossing his arms while sitting legs crossed so that his head doesn't hit the ceiling. Being the largest of the 4, it is rather awkward for the Son of Charlotte to be in cramped rooms, normally he'd be in larger rooms so he would not feel claustrophobic or cramped up due to his size. "I tried everything, CP-0, recon, even interrogation on Marine and Government officals if they heard anything."

"Grr, I still don't get the point of all of this, it's been 8 years and nothing was heard about taht bastard." Said Kidd slamming his cyborg arm on the desk with frustration. "Sure he must be dead."

"And yet there is no body or pieces of clothing was washed up on any beach." Said Shank. "And if he did die, then the news of the Dark Dark Fruit and the Tremor Tremor Fruit should be known."

"And he is too dangerous to be ignored, because of those fruits," said Luffy as he stands up. "It's bad enough that Sakazuki has formed his own navy and declared an all-out war against us. But if we assume that Blackbeard is dead without and confirmation, it may prove fatal for all of us."

Luffy reaches out for the picture frames on the shelf, one which containing himself aged 7 with 10-year-old Ace and Sabo. Then he turns to look at another framed photo of him 21 years old with a 22-year-old Nami and a 5-year-old Harry in her arms. He frowned sadly at these photos while putting the one in his hands back.

"Blackbeard took too much from me and almost took Harry also" said Luffy "I wouldn't allow any serious harm on my son if I remain ignorant and believe Blackbeard is dead unless it's official. I know I'm asking much for you to keep searching, but Blackbeard is still a threat to all of us, especially when the Dark Dark Fruit and Tremor Tremor Fruit together is a disaster waiting to happen."

The Yonkou nods in understanding by this, even Kidd who is still irritated by this knows how dangerous Teach still is.

"But enough of this for now, it is lunch time and I am famished" said Luffy as he makes his way for the door. The Yonkou sweat drops at this as they know Luffy has his mind on food than pirate politics.

"Aye, I suppose we can adjourn this meeting for a while and grab a bite to eat" said Shanks as he joins.

"I concur, plus I need to see if my sister is fairing well in Straw Hat's crew." Said Katakuri "Plus, I do hope she make those doughnuts I love."

Kidd and Law remains silent as they follow the others, knowing they are feeling hungry also.

Aquarium Bar

Luffy and the Yonkou arrive at the ship's Aquarium Bar where they can join in on lunch time.

"Uncle Shank!" Harry immediately rushed by and jumps into Shank's one arm embrace.
"Hey there, kiddo" said Shanks smiling at Harry while he hugs him with his only arm. "It's been a while since you visited."

"Yeah, sorry about taht" said Harry as he finished hugging Shanks and turns to Law and Kidd. "Hello Dr. Law, Captain Kidd"

"Potter" Law responded with a nod, although stoic it does, please him to hear Harry refer him as a Doctor since he has medicinal and surgical skills to become one if he wasn't a pirate.

"Hey there, kid" said Kidd as he offers Harry his Cyborg hand, only to notice that his weapons are out by accident and immediately retracts them. "Damn piece of junk."

Fortunately that only made Harry laugh and shook Kidd's cyborg hand regardless.

"Where's Captain Charlotte?" said Harry

"Out here!" said Katakuri sitting with his legs crossed by the other side of the door. "Unfortunately, I am a tad big to fit though the door. You may have to come here if you want to say hello."

"Ok" said Harry as he exits the bar only to be greeted by the huge yonkou sitting by the door. Katakuri offers Harry his hand which the boy shakes it. "It's good to see you again, sir"

"Likewise, Mitarashi sends her regards" said Katakuri

"She's not here, is she?" said Harry when a slight blush appeared on his face.

"No, she's staying at her aunt Brulee while I'm gone" said Katakuri "She wanted to come but I don't want to risk it since she's not a pirate...not until she's 17."

"Aw" said Harry with his head down and frowning sadly. He was hoping to see his friend again.

Charlotte Mitarashi is Katakuri's daughter who is also Harry's age. Knowing how dangerous Big Mom is and what she can do to her own children if she falls in one of her hunger fits, Katakuri kept his own daughter away from the rest of the Charlotte Family. Only a few knows about Mitarashi and agreed to keep her a secret, for Big Mom is isn't really "Mother of the Year" ironically, so can you imagine what she would do with her own granddaughter?.

Mitarashi and Harry first met by accident, when Luffy, Nami, Chopper and Brook came to Whole Cake Island to rescue Sanji from Big Mom's tea party and his arranged marriage with Pudding back in the day. Harry was meant to stay with the Minks and Momonosuke at Zou while they set off on a dangerous quest and regroup later at Wano. But Harry, thanks to his Blink Blink Fruit powers, decided to wander off on his own, and that's how they met.

Katakuri was surprised to see Harry playing with his daughter when he came to check up on her, he knew that Harry is part of the Straw Hats Crew and the infamous Vanishing Child that the world government called him, but he wouldn't hold that against him since he is but a toddler back then, and seems fine with him near his daughter as he is nice to her.

Despite the hostility between the Straw hats and Big Mom, Katakuri allowed Harry to be his daughter's playmate and friend as like before, didn't want her involved with the affairs of his family. He and Mitarashi has been friends ever since, but then their friendship starts to flourish and Harry started have a crush on the girl, sadly the girl only saw Harry as a friend but that changes nothing between them, although Harry is still disappointed and continues to hold feelings for Mitarashi.

"That reminds me, she wanted me to give this to you" said Katakuri as he rummages in his jacket and pulls out 2 wrapped up presents. "The other is from me, Happy Birthday"

"Thanks" said Harry as he accepts the presents and starts opening them. From Mitarashi, he is given of Mitarashi Dango and Mochi. And from Katakuri, a beautiful ornate trident similar to the one Katakuri uses in a fight. "Wow"

"I'm gad you like them, I know you prefer to use polearms rather than swords, so I thought you'd like this."

"I love it, thank you" said Harry bowing to Katakuri

"It's no problem" said Katakuri when suddenly Pudding and Sora arrives near the door. Sora immediately rushes and leaps to hug her uncle which he gently hugs her back due to the major size difference. "Hello, Pudding"

"Big Brother, I got you some doughnuts and a pot of tea" said Pudding when she holds a large tray containing a large plate of doughnuts, from powdered, sprinkled rings to jam filled ones. Katakuri eyes the delicious treat and starts to lower his scarf covering his gulper eel-like mouth with with sharp needle-like teeth jutting out from his lips.

"Thank you, Pudding" said Katakuri as he took a doughnut and too a huge bite from it. "Mmm, so good."

"Can I have one, Uncle Katakuri" said Sora

"Go right a head" said Katakuri as offered his niece one of his giant doughnuts.

"Sora, you need to eat your lunch first or you'll spoil your appitite" said Pudding with a disapproved frown. "Now off with you and eat your lunch."

"I'll save you one, ok?" said Katakuri giving Sora a wink.

"Thank you" said Sora before she enters the aquarium bar and joins the rest of the crew.

"You best go also, Harry" said Katakuri, I'm sure the other Yonkou as gifts to give you too"

"Aye" said Harry as he enters the bar and leave yonkou to enjoy his little merienda in peace. Pudding smiled at her brother and leave him too so that she can have her lunch.

Back in the Bar, Harry resumes with the feasting while talking to the other Yonkou with Luffy, each of the them gave the prince their gifts to him, starting with Shanks. It was actually a joke gift at first for it reveals to be a bottle of juice. Harry was confused by this, but Luffy is aware and smacked the red haired pirate on the back of the head.

"Not funny, Shanks!" said Luffy, he still remembered the time Shanks tricked him by offering him a glass of juice, only to burst laughing stating that True Pirates don't drink juice.

"Oh come on, lighten up Luffy" Shanks laughed while rubbing the back of his head before pulling out the true gift for Harry. "Here"

Harry discards the joke gift on the table and takes the real one to open it, it is a picture frame with an old photo of Shank's crew when they were younger at a certain bar, and with them in the middle is a 7-year-old Luffy with a plaster under his left eye, where he got his trademark scar which he gave himself to prove his bravery (and stupidity) to the crew. Luffy looked at the photo and smiled at that memory, and frowned slightly for it was that day Shank's lost his arm to rescue him from the jaws of the Lord of the Coast.

Next, Law present his gift to Harry, which is tricky for the Surgeon of Death for he has no idea what to give a kid for he is the most awkward out of the other Yonkou. So he gave Harry a few boxes of assortment sweets and chocolates which he "bought" on his travels. Shopping is not really an issue for him due to being a Yonkou as everyone tends to run away or alert the Navy if he is sighted. This awkward gift offering was laughed at by Kidd, which Law turns and snarls at.

"Shut the fuck up, Kidd?"

"Oh come on, how hard is it to find a present for an 11 year old?" said Kidd as he pulls out a big chest. "What? Did you have a shit childhood of something?"

"Did you forget that I use to suffered from White Lead Poisoning?" said Law

"No and I do not care" said Kidd while offering Harry his gift. "Here you go, kid. And Killer also made you a cake"

Speaking off, Kidd's First Mate enters the bar with a big freshly baked cake with buttercream icing.

"Happy Birthday, young Prince" said Killer as he places the cake on the table.

"Thank you, Mr. Killer, Captain Kidd" said Harry to the Yonkou and his first mate before turning to Law. "And thank you as well, Dr. Law"

"D-Don't sweat it, kid" said Law rubbing the back of his head sheepishly while staying stone faced.

"You are welcome, Harry" said Killer before turning to Pudding "And thank you for allowing me to use the kitchen for this, Mrs. Vinsmoke"

"It's no problem" said Pudding "I trust my idiot husband didn't cause you trouble down there."

"Not at all, he knows a fellow cook when he sees one" said Killer before taking a see so that he can eat. He lifts up his mask slightly so that only his blond bearded mouth is visible for him to eat.

"And now for us" said Luffy as he pulls out a box which he hid well under the seats of the bar. "Hancock, would you be first, I... need a moment"

"I understand" said Hancock as she knows what her darling husband means. She approaches Harry when suddenly a boa constrictor slithers down from the ceiling and coils around her shoulder. Everyone except Luffy and Zoro were surprised by the snake's appearance. "Luffy, normally members of the Kuja and the Amazon community are allowed to have their own snake weapon, but as your second mother, I thought it's appropriate to give you on, much like Hinagiku"

The snake around Hancock's shoulders then slithers its way to Harry, he giggled as the snake's cold scales tickle, even more when the snake gives him a friendly flicker with its forked tongue to his ear.

"This is Medusa, and she will be yours for now on." Said Hancock "Take care of her, and she'll take care of you."

"I will, and thank you, mum" said Harry as he gives Hancock a hug, which she hugs him in return.

Next, it is Luffy's turn to give Harry his gift. He took a deep breath and approaches his son and kneels down so that he is at his son's level.

"I wanted to give you this when you are older, plus I still hesitant...but here you go."

Harry took Luffy with reluctance since he heard what his dad said. He unwraps it and not only did he gasp at what the gift is, but everyone also. In his hand is an old orange cowboy hat with two smileys on the front, one happy and the other sad. It looked singed and with some signs of fire damage on the rim. Harry know exactly what this hat is and who it belonged it too.

"W-Where did you get this?" said Harry

"After I became the Pirate King, I visited Ace's grave at Sphinx to pay him my respects and tell him that I achieved by dream." Said Luffy as tears start to seep out from his eyes. "Then I bumped into Marco, and he gave me this hat as a keepsake as he believes it's right that I have it. And now, I'm giving it to you."

"A-Are you sure?" said Harry "You sure Ace wouldn't mind?"

"I wish that you could meet him, to learn that he is an uncle" said Luffy "He would've loved you, Harry and he'd be more than happy to let you wear his hat."

Luffy took Ace's hat and places it on Harry's head, it felt heavy for Harry to wear his late uncle's hat. Still hesitant by this, but said nothing as he need a moment to accept this.

"T-Thank you, dad" said Harry as he then gives his father a hug, not just gratitude of the gift, but to comfort him knowing this is hard for him to give. To have your own brother die in your arms, no one could imagine how heart-breaking it was, since it almost cost Luffy's own life when his mind could not accept the tragedy that it shuts down from the shock. Jimbei even tears up for Ace is his friend and seeing him die is a tragic one.

"Now, now, this isn't the time for sadness" said Luffy as he pulls out his wide trademark smile while he wipe those tears from his eyes. "This is still Harry special day, is it not?"

"Of course, let us celebrate" Kidd exclaiming despite the fact he became teary eyed at such a touching moment but denies everything. "Killer, bring in a few kegs here!"

"Aye, Captain" said Killer as he makes his way out.

Later

With the lunch turned minor party finished, following with the blowing out of the candles on the cake, everyone went ahead on about their business as always, with Zoro sleeping in the shade with a bottle of rum in his hands, along when Shank's First Mate Benn who is also sleeping in the shade while hugging on his unloaded musket like his own cuddly toy. Sanji and Pudding washing the dishes in the kitchens, even Killer offered to help since he did use the Sunny's kitchen to bake Harry a cake. Robin reading in the library while Nami works in her survey desk. Jimbei calmly meditates in front of the foremast, Franky is down below deck at his armoury tinkering, Chopper is at the infirmary preparing medicines by grinding up herbs in a mortar and pastel. Brook is by the at the ship's bow with Mick, tuning their instruments while looking over at the horizon, Ussop and Kaya talks with his father Yassop Sr. while he hugs his grandchildren after seeing them so long.

Hancock is still at the Aquaruim Bar enjoying a cup of tea with her snake Salome coiled by her feet, sleeping peacefully while the former Empress of Amazon Lily enjoys the atmosphere as she watches the fish swim by in the tank. Normally she wanted to spend time with Luffy, but the King is quite busy at the moment with the Yonkou in the captain's quarters. This saddens Hancock at first but she know better not to disturb her darling while he is with the emperors.

The new generations are running around on the deck with Bepo, the Polar Bear Mink who is the navigator of Law's Smile Pirates. Bepo goes around chasing the laughing and cheery children while giving Banchina a piggyback ride. Harry showed Hinagiku and Belle his new snake weapon Medusa, which she curiously looks at the girls and flicker her tongue at them. Hinagiku giggles as she stroked the snake's head her own snake, which she named Gloriosia or Glory for short, named after the late former empress of Amazon Lily. Glory is a python with some patches of shite on it's body, reaching up to 6 feet in length. Glory and Medusa curiously flicker their tongues at each other and mainly stare calmly before coiling back to rest their heads on their owners' shoulders.

"She is beautiful, but where did she come from?" said Hinagiku

"Mum (Hancock) said that she brought two snake eggs back from Amazon Lily and raised them to maturity while Salome trained them to become our Snake Weapons." Harry explained when he once asked Hancock how she came by to Medusa. "Which is cool since she knows Haki, look"

Harry reaches out his hand which Medusa saw as a command and slithers outward and becomes straight and long like a staff while turning black due to Adamant Haki. Hinagiku and Belle were at awe by this while Harry starts twirling his Snake Staff a few times before Medusa revert to her normal self and coils back to rest on her owner.

"Wow, you just learned that? It took me days to learn how to use Glory" said Hinagiku while petting her own snake.

"Indeed, especially how to use a staff, which I am in progress learning to use myself" said Belle

"Well, I had to learn at an early age, haven't I?" said Harry "Since I am first of the new generation."

"Must be difficult, being a pirate at a young age" said Hinagiku as she was not yet a pirate for she is not allowed to be one until she is 17, as tradition. At first, she was jealous of Harry being a pirate at a young age, but he didn't have much of a choice since the World Government condemned him with a bounty for his unintentional mischief. Sometimes fame isn't earned or given, it is forced upon you whenever you like it or not.

"Meh, I'm use to it" said Harry until he starts to frown when he starts to grab his uncle's hat off his hat and looks at it. "Then again..."

"Are you still worried about wearing Uncle Ace's hat, Harry?" said Belle

"I don't know, I'm honoured to wear it, but I am also...I don't know."

"I'm sure Ace is happy to know that his favourite hat is safely with you." Said Belle as she gives her brother a hug.

Harry returned the hug despite the worry and doubt as the hat in his hand feels heavy to him.

Uncle Ace...

Evening

Time passes once again and the Yonkou departed once their visit has come to an end, they sailed away and head for their own domains of the sea and go back about their business. When night came, the Straw Hat crew has decided to call it a day and retire into their quarters. Luffy snores softly while Nami and Hancock snuggle in his arms, even Usopp sleeps happily with his own wife in his. Sanji sadly has to sleep on the couch since Pudding is still cross with him for picking a fight with Zoro.

Zoro is up on the crow's nest, snoring loudly as he sleeps comfortable on the floor with a warm thick bedding over him and a pillow beneath his head.

Yes, all are fast asleep aboard the Thousand Sunny, all but one. Harry is still awake and sits ontop of the lion's head figurehead. He holds and look down at Ace's hat in his hands while Medusa coils around from inside his shirt to keep warm in those slightly cold summer nights. The worry has kept him up as he cannot get the fact of owning his late Uncle's hat continues to bother him.

Suddenly Medusa pops her head out from Harry's shirt and flicks her tongue at him in a playful way. Harry giggled at how ticklish her tongue is when it flickers on his face, it cheered him up a bit and starts patting his snake's head.

"Trouble sleeping, Harry?"

Harry turns to see Brook making his way to the bow and leans on to look at the starry night sky while he takes a sip of tea in his hand. Brook volunteered to take guard duty while everyone is asleep, but when he noticed Harry on the figurehead, he thought he'd come back and say good evening.

"Brook, can I ask you something?" said Harry

"ask away" said the skeleton while he takes another sip of tea.

"Do you ever get worried about disappointing someone who is dead?" said Harry

"...Aye, I once had thoughts of that" said Brook "Back when I was captain of the Rumbar pirates when my captain and friend Yorkie succumb to an illness and has to sail back to the west blue to be treated. He trusted me to take care of the crew in his absence...but I failed when we were attacked. We won the battle against our enemies, but they used poisoned weapons and our fate is inevitable. I got lucky because I ate the Yomi Yomi fruit and cheat death...and left drifting on a ghost ship for 50 years."

Brook sighed as he drinks more of his tea and places it on the ledge while turning to Harry.

"I had those 50 years of loneliness thinking on if I regret failing my friend and comrades onboard that ship" said Brook "and if I ever deserve redemption for my incompetence. But that all changed when Luffy and the others arrived, and offered me that chance. The thoughts still linger, mind you, but when I listened to our final symphony of Bink's Brew, that is when I remembered that I never failed them. They sailed, lived and died as pirates, they accepted their end and they hold no ill thought of me."

Brook would smile if he had lips to smile with, but he placed his skeletal hand on Harry's shoulder.

"If you are worried about honouring Ace because of that hat, don't" said Brook "When Shanks gave Luffy that Straw Hat, Luffy didn't worry about making Shanks proud, he lived a life he wanted and that is enough for Shanks. Ace would be the same, so focus on being you and not as Ace's legacy."

Harry smiled and nods at Brook.

"Thank you, Brook" said Harry

"You're very welcome" said Brook with a bow. "Now I think it's best you get some sleep, we can't have you getting sluggish in the morning."

Harry nods as he jumps off the figure head and lands on the bow, he is about to make his way to the children's quarters when suddenly a flash of red and orange appeared in front of him and Brook. They looked ahead at where the flash is coming from and they see a strange bird in different shades of red and orange flying their way. The bird calls out a beautiful song while it's wings shoot out glowing embers as it soars towards the ship.

All Harry can do is watch as the bird flies majestically, even Brook is amazed by this and couldn't believe his eyes, as if he had any. The bird them makes it's way to the port and perches on the ledge next to Harry. Now getting a closer to the bird, Harry knows exactly what type of bird this is and yet could not believe his eyes.

"Is that...a phoenix?"
