Chapter 12: Goodbye Grand Line
Few days later
The Devil Fruit Drive has been tested in the following days, but instead of Harry as the last test exhausted him, Luffy and Robin took over for him in the first 2 days. When Luffy enters the Drive, it caused the ship to become rubbery, especially when the deck has become so bouncy that the kids took advantage of this and treated it like a trampoline, even Harry played along while doing his chores as the test took place during the day where he does his mopping and mowing on the upper decks. The children laugh with joy when they bound up and down on the bouncy deck, they would continue on with this until Luffy could no longer hold it anymore and the deck becomes hard and solid again, but to the kids' dismay as they were enjoying themselves.
And when it was Robin's turn, she focused on duplicating the cannons on both sides, dubbing the technique as Cañón Fleur, Blanca Pétale when she produces more sails which cause the Sunny to sail faster, and lastly, she can duplicate the Sunny herself, similar to her Cuerpo Fleur, two copies of the Sunny appear beside the original, Robin dubs this as the Cuerpo Fleur: Armada, the limit of these copies on her first go is 3 and she can hold it for 10 minutes before the copies dissipate into petals.
In those following days, it's always Luffy and Robin taking turns since this is a new and best way to test out their devil fruit powers, so between tests, the Sunny would either be bouncy for the children to play, or have cannons, sails or the entire ship duplicated in those following days. And during these tests, Usopp and Franky would do other tests also, such as test the Gum-Gum Fruit's resistance to bludgeoning attacks and cannon fire. So, turning Luffy's turn on the DFD, the two would bring out a pair of sledgehammers and starts swinging at the ship, only for the ship to repel the hammers instead of making holes on the wooden walls or on the decking. They even mount a cannon on the Mini Merry and starts firing at the broadside, only for the cannonballs to bounce off and fly to the horizon until they splash down into the sea.
Usopp and Franky were aghast by this, so much that their jaws hang low and remain there for a moment before lifting them shut and turn each other with proud expressions.
"It works, Luffy's Gum-Gum Fruit is perfect for defending the Sunny!" exclaimed Usopp
"Oh yeah!" Franky yelled as he held out his hand so that he and Usopp can slap them in a high-five.
They would continue on with these tests when Luffy is in the DFD, the same goes for Robin as they ask her to duplicate the cannons so they can test them on random sea-rocks, floating shipwrecks and buoyant targets which they crafted for target practice. And what they learned from those duplicated cannons is they were already loaded and primed for use, so the Gunner doesn't have to waste any time loading them for use, plus Robin can fire these blossomed cannons willingly and let out a cannonade of heavy rounds at the targets. Once again, Franky and Usopp are aghast by this to learn that Robin can use those duplicated cannons simultaneously which fires constantly every 5 seconds. Devil Fruits are indeed magnificent and terrifying things, especially with the powers they can grant the user when eaten and Luffy and Robin's are no joke.
Especially when they learned what Brook's can do when he requested to test the DFD next.
Hesitant but curious by this, Usopp granted the old skeleton's request and allowed him to enter the DFD. But as Brook enters the Devil Fruit Drive, the result is both amazing and terrifying. Usopp couldn't think what the Yomi-Yomi Fruit can do apart from reviving the user from the grave, but when it's used on the Sunny...then he starts to understand.
With Brook in the DFD, the Sunny has become an actual ghost ship, as it gives out an eerie green ethereal glow all over the hull, thick chilling mists waft all over the decking and all around the hull which covers the sea surface completely. Bones and skulls litter all over, clanging chains hang over the ledge clinking while they swing, and old lanterns held on by damp rusty old iron sconces, giving out an its eerie green glow, and as these eerie things are displayed all around the ship, the Sunny is showing signs of traditional post-battle damage, such as holes on the floor and walls, rips and tatters on the sails and jolly roger, and snapped ropes on the rigging. But the main change on the ship is on the Sunny's figurehead. Instead of her usual lion's head, she is now a large skull that's missing a few of it's teeth while laughing menacingly as green fire burns all around and through it's eye sockets.
Yea-Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha!
The crew felt their spines run cold by this, especially when ghostly apparitions in the form of skeletons in pirate attire starts to manifest all around, casually doing what they would do on-board the ship, such as working, drinking grog and singing badly at sea shanties. The children (except for Yassop who is cowering in his mother's) finds this funny as they would join in with the merriment with the ghostly skeleton crew, even Luffy finds this funny and joins in with the kids as they sing and dance along with these haunting apparitions. But sadly, for them, Usopp immediately turned off the DFD and pulled Brook out so to return the Sunny back to her normal self. The children (and Luffy) moaned in complaint when the ghosts are gone and the Sunny revert.
"Never again," is what Usopp said to Brook when he got him out, clearly stating that the Gunner regretted in letting the skeleton test the DFD. "You hear me, NEVER!"
"Aww," Brook was upset by this, even though he has no face to express his sorrow but it's still clear.
After that incident, the testing on the DFD commences until it is Harry's turn once more. And life before, Harry has to take the Sunny to the appointed waypoints on the map so that he can get the hang of it. Harry those this until dusk approaches, and like before he feels exhausted after taking the ship to the waypoints over and over again. Pleased at the process, Luffy and Nami are now convinced that the DFD is a success but all agree that it can only be used for emergencies, and under any circumstances that Brook is to never use it, ever.
Next day
Deciding that enough is enough, Harry's punishment is officially over, much to his relief. We can find him lounging on his hammock, giving himself a we deserved rest from the weeks' amount of chores followed with the testing on the DFD. His second test on that machine is as tiring as the first, but he is starting to get the hang of it, especially when he needs to take the ship and the crew to Hogwarts so that he can start his first year there. He looks at the side to the hanging birdcage where his Owl Hedwig doing her afternoon preening. He then returns to stare lazily at the ceiling while the ship's gentle listing rocks the hammock side to side, causing him to lower his eyes so that he can fall asleep.
Suddenly, the door barges open, causing Harry to open his eyes and sigh. He turns to the open door to see Hinagiku, who is not happy at all. Harry is too tired to even ask why his sister looks frustrated and returns to lazily look at the ceiling. HInagiku grumbles while she jumps onto her own hammock and crosses her arms in a sulk. Harry suddenly sighs as he is starting to regret asking, but the grumbling continues under Hinagiku's throat.
"I may regret this, but is something wrong?" said Harry while his half-closed eyes remains fixed to the ceiling.
"It's totally unfair" said Hinagiku in a low mutter. "You get to go to another world and I have to stay with Aunt Mari and Aunt Sonia at Amazon Lily."
"Huh?" said Harry as he then turns toward Hinagiku's hammock.
"Clearly you're not the only one who needs studying" said Hinagiku "As Princess of the Kuja, I need to study under my Aunts so that I can one day take over as Empress and Captain of the Kuja Pirates."
"Oh yeah, I forgotten about that" said Harry as he returns to face the ceiling. "But didn't you want to learn to become a Kuja Empress like mum?"
"Yeah, but that's before we learned about you going to Hogwarts." Said Hinagiku with a frown. "You get to have fun learning magic while I have to stay behind."
"Why didn't you tell her that you can to come with us?" said Harry
"I did, but mum said that I need to stay in Amazon Lily so I can learn the ways of the Kuja, as it's my heritage" said Hinagiku, "It's so not fair."
"I'm sorry" said Harry "But I'm sure you'll have fun when we get there."
"Sooner than you think" said Hinagiku "Mum has sent me to tell you taht you need to use the Drive so you can take us there. We're about a week away from the island if you count going through the Calm belt."
"Oh..." said Harry with a tiring groan wen Hinagiku mentioned the DFD, sure it's fun to use but it tires him out so much when he tested them.
"Figured you'd react to that" said Hinagiku "But it's only for one trip before you heads off to the other world, so you might not break a sweat."
"You wouldn't say that if you had Devil Fruit Powers, Hinagiku" said Harry as he sits up from the hammock and jumps off. "Did she say when we're going?"
"As soon as possible, mum said," Hinagiku answered while she continues to sulk in her Hammock. "So please, take your time"
Harry rolled his eyes at his sister and takes his leave for the Docking Room below.
Amazon Lily
It didn't take long for Harry to take the Sunny to Amazon Lily, only after a quick which Sanji is happy to make him since the cook knows that the DFD could tire him so easily. The island is located on the Calm Belt a strip of sea where there is no wind and heavily infested with Sea Kings. Amazon Lily is surrounded with thick jungles, high plateaus and a long mountain that's hollowed out and the peak is carved out to resemble a crown adorned with many snake heads. On the north side of the mountain, the word "Kuja" is carved on, simply as a warning to any who would go near...especially if they are men.
Men are forbidden to set foot on Amazon Lily for the punishment is death, but Luffy and Harry are an exception for they are the only males who are welcome to the inhabitants exclusively comprised of women. The Kuja are a tribe of warrior women, beautiful and strong, not a one has any males among them for every birth is exclusively of girls and no one knows why. Snakes are part of their tradition as they are always accompanied with them, using them as weapons from bows to spears.
However, the Kuja has not been once invaded by foreigners, not since Hancock denounced her Warlord of the Seas status and marring the Pirate King. The Navy suffered a great loss of their marines and ships when the Government declared a Buster Call on the island. For the sea floor is completely covered with Navy Shipwrecks and statues, former marines who were petrified by Hancock's Love-Love Fruit. Hancock doesn't take all the credit, for she was aided by her groom, now husband when his ship arrived just days during the battle. Luffy showed no mercy, especially when he used his "awakened" form on the armada and forced any who survived to retreat.
That was 8 years ago, but the battle was never forgotten by either the Kuja or the Marines, and for good reason. When the Government heard that the new King has declared Amazon Lily as his territory due to marrying Hancock, they begrudgingly admits defeat and never sent in any more battleships to the island.
Ever since, Amazon Lily has been at peace thanks to the Pirate King and their former Empress, there has been occasion raiding attempts from foolish pirates, but they were easily dealt with thanks the might of the Kuja and their new Empresses.
Speak of which, at the harbour we can see the two Empresses Boa Marigold and Boa Sandersonia, assisted with their bodyguards, Marguerite, Kikyo, Ran, Aphelandra and Sweetpea. Marigold is a large full-figured woman with long wavy red hair which is stylized to resemble horns of a Valkyrie's helmet. Even though she's full-figured, Marigold is more muscular than fat and takes pride in her strength.
Sandersonia is a very tall slender woman with a wide round head with flowing green hair. She has a long tongue sticking out fro her mouth, which happens to be a side-effect of a Devil Fruit she, along with her sisters each ate forcefully during their "hidden" past as slaves to the Celestial Dragons at Marijois.
The Dveil Fruits Marigold and Sandersonia ate are Zoan Types known as the Snake-Snake fruit, but the fruits are different due to their "models" of the animals. Marigold takes the form of a King Cobra while Sandersonia takes the form of an Anaconda. With their Snake forms and Hancock's Love-Love Fruit powers, they were dubbed the Gorgon Sisters. Which was invented so hide the now former brands on their backs, which they had removed thanks to Chopper's flawless operation he did on their backs, freeing them of their shame.
They are still reluctant of showing their backs to everyone, which only shows a skin graft that now covers the former brand as it still brings them bad memories. But they don't have to worry about it being exposed anymore, but the worry lingers on the two sisters.
"When do you think they'll arrive, sis?" said Sandersonia to Marigold
"I'm not sure, I'm just sure that he doesn't put so much a hassle on dear Harry" said Marigold with a concerned look. Hancock has told her and Sandersonia about the Devil Fruit Drive and what it can do, and with Harry's Blink-Blink Fruit powers the sisters have a very good idea on what to expect. "To bring in an entire ship here in an instant, I doubt it'll be easy."
Suddenly, the Thousand Sunny appeared in an instant, the Empresses' bodyguards held out their weapons in reaction but calmed when they recognised the ship and lower their serpents. Poking out from the ship's broadside, Luffy made himself known to the Kuja who were surprised by the Sunny's sudden arrival.
"Ahoy there," said Luffy waving to the Kuja "Permission to dock here?"
The Kuja starts cheering and waving not just to Luffy, but to Hancock also as she starts to make herself know while Zoro and Usopp lower the gangplank for their King and Queen. Luffy and Hancock walks down to the dock with a disgruntled Hinagiku between them. The future a heir of the Kuja is still pouting and her arms crossed, even though she is happy to see her Aunts and the Kuja, she is still unset that she has to stay at Amazon Lily while the crew goes to another world so that Harry can start his first year at Hogwarts.
Speaking of which, Harry is next to walk down the gangplank with Nami helping him as the DFD tired him up but has enough strength to walk on his own, only barely. The Kuja saw Harry and welcomed the boy as he is another male permitted to enter their lands. Harry returns the greetings to the Kuja as he received hugs and handshakes from them, especially the young girls either younger or older than him.
"Welcome back, Sister" said Marigold while Sandersonia kneels down so that she can hug Hancock and Luffy. "It would seem that your new machine worked more than I expected."
"Indeed, but it does tire Harry much," said Hancock while returning the hug to her green haired sister. "We may here for some time until Harry's strength is restored. I hope you don't mind."
"Of course not," said Marigold with a smile. "You are more than welcome to stay here as long as you want, but I must remind you that your male crewmates..."
"Aye, they will stay on-board the Sunny as promised." Said Luffy before turning his head back to the Sunny as he know that Usopp and Zoro are listening on board. "Right, guys?"
Up on board the Sunny, Zoro and Usopp looks ahead at the city view surrounded with the inner walls of the hollowed-out mountain. This is as close they can get to be near the island without facing execution.
They, long with the rest of the men know not to break this taboo and know the consequences if broken. Usopp waved his hand to show his King that they know when to stay while Zoro heads for the main mast and climbs up to the crow's nest to do more training/napping. The rest of the crew knows this the moment they arrived at Amazon Lily and knows when to stay put. Even Jimbei, a fellow former Warlord known when to respect the traditions of the Kuja. Franky and Brook are still curious about the island that's forbidden to men, but they also know better. Chopper is another exception as he is technically an animal and has no attractions to human woman, but for now he stays put since the last visit scared when the young Kuja girls found his Hybrid form adorable, and not even his "Human" or Animal form helps so he'll be on board the ship for the remainder of the visit.
Sanji, poor guy, has locked himself in the kitchens. He is sulking like a child while going though so much cigarettes to blacken his lungs completely. But heavy smoking doesn't compare to the immense anger and jealousy he had on Luffy, while the king enters what would be considered Paradise, he has to stay on board with the other shitty male crewmates.
"Don't worry about us, Luffy" said Usopp "We'll stay put while you and the ladies enjoy yourselves."
"Good, I don't to cause another complication like last time." Said Luffy with a serious tone before leaving the docks with Hancock, Nami, Hinagiku and Harry."
"Ayem he he he, Oh Oda that was embarrassing." Usopp with a nervous laugh, remembering the last time when one of the male crew set foot on Amazon Lily. "I thought we were going to die, back then."
"Hancock did warn you" said Jimbei, meditating on the lawn. "Men are forbidden to set foot on Amazon Lily."
Suddenly Sanji kicks the door open and barges out with a frustriated look on his face.
"And pray tell us, WHY IS HE ALLOWED?!" exclaimed Sanji "How did that idiot even get that pleasure!"
"Luffy obviously befriended the Kuja when Kuma banished us" said Usopp "He got lucky to survive from the fury of the Kuja."
"Lucky?, Heh, yeah Lucky!" Sanji said in a bitter "He gets all the luck, he gets to enjoy the comapy of beautiful women while I had to endure the horror, in an island inhabited with crossdresser FOR 2 YEARS, AND NOT A ONE WERE CONSIDERED BEAUTIFUL! It's a wonder that I'm kept my love for women in tact."
"Oh calm down, Sanji." Said Usopp "At least you turned some beautiful heads towards you. Remember those mermaids at Fishman Island, Queen Voila, your now wife Pudding? And I bet you got the attention so some of the geishas back in Wano."
"He, he, he, yeah" said Sanji, giggling like a pervert while he starts making love hearts from his cigarette smoke while the mention of those beautiful ladies he encounters, especially Pudding in her bridal gown pops in his head.
"So it's not a total loss" said Usopp "True, it does seem unfair for us to stay while Luffy spends time on the island. But at least he's not the only one with beautiful woman by his side."
"...I suppose you're right" Sanji said in a begrudging mumble while he takes a long drag from his cigarette. "I might as well head back to the kitchen and see if Pudding-swan needs help"
Sanji left the main deck with love hearts swirling in his head when the mention of his wife is referred. Usopp and Jimbei sighed and shook at the cook's predictable manner and chuckled in relief that Sanji's jealous anger is over.
"This happens every time we come here" said Usopp
"Can you blame him?" said Jimbei "Every man would risk their entire life to come to this island, and Luffy is the only one who is allowed to set one foot on it, even Sanji would give his own to be in the King's position."
"Aye" said Usopp with sudden chuckle while leaning on the broadside to gaze at the view of the city. "Then again, it's glad to stay on board the ship for once without bumping into trouble every time we dock on an island."
"A rare treat, indeed" said Jimbei with a slight grin, "with all the excitement going on, it's does feel nice to relax now and then."
"Especially where we're going next," Said Usopp
Palace
The Pirate King and his family are now at the royal palace, they are currently having a wonderful dinner which the Empresses have arranged for them for their visit. The Kuja took account of the infamous appitite Luffy has so they went on an intense Sea King Hunt so they can produce titanic meals for him to enjoy, plus fighting those monsters with the assistance of the Yuda, giant venomous serpants which the Kuja use to carry the ship Perfume Yuda which Hancock formally captained before her marriage with Luffy.
Marigold and Sandersonia were grateful those hunts as it's the right decision when Luffy wasted no time feasting on the food placed on the table. While the King eats, Hancock starts to converse with her sisters so to catch up with them while Harry and Hinagiku eat silently by Nami.
"So, you're on your way to this wizarding world, sister?" said Sandersonia
"Indeed, with summer drawing closer, we think it's best to go few days before the first term can start," said Hancock while she cuts her small slab of sea king steak on her plate. "After all, we need to settle down if we're staying until the next summer comes."
"I see," said Marigold crossing her arms and nodding with understanding. "So you're finally retiring the pirate life?"
"Oh, heavens no," said Hancock "we're just taking a long break while Harry finishes with his education, we'll be back on the oceans after that."
"Indeed" said Luffy, his mouth is full and his cheeks stuffed so much of full to put squirrels to shame. He takes a massive gulp so that the food is swallowed and sighed for air. "even if we take Harry to this school, we are still pirates. And if Harry decides to be a pirate or wizard, hell even both if he wanted, it's his choice."
"Huh, I wish I had that choice" Hinagiku mutters while eating her dinner.
"Hinagiku, we've been over this" said Hancock "You need to stay here so that you can continue your teaching in the way of the Kuja."
"You're mother is right, as the heir of the Kuja, it's important for you learn this," said Marigold "After all, Harry is doing the same when he's going to Hogwarts. Not just to learn magic but about his inheritage, tradition and culture is important for all of us, after all."
"Besides, it's only for a few months" Sandersonia said with a reassuring smile. "Once the teachings are done, you can go back when Harry comes to pick you up."
Harry nods at Hinagiku as he has food in his mouth and can't speak as its impolite. The Kuja heir scowls by this and starts to return her attention on her food.
The awkward silence continued on for a couple of minutes until it was broken when Harry starts to speak.
"So...when do we leave, mum?" Harry said to Hancock
"In the morning, we want you rested so that you can take the ship to our destination" said Hancock "and in the meantime, let us enjoy our day here in Amazon Lily as a family."
Hinagiku however doesn't feel up to it as she stands up from the table and walks off.
"Hinagiku, where are you going?" Luffy said to his daughter.
"I'm going to get some air, be back later" said Hinagiku as she storms off in a hastily pace out of the palace dining hall. Hancock did notice the way her daughter left the room, still upset on staying in Amazon Lily while the crew and family leave for the wizarding world without her. This is not the first time Hinagiku felt like this, it happened 8 years ago when Luffy heads off for the Sabaody Archipelago to be reunited with his crew. Hinagiku was 1½ at when her father left and it upset her to see him go, it wasn't until she was 4 when she was united with her father, but it didn't get better for her when she learned that she has a brother and sister, as well as another mother.
Hinagiku loved her father so much that she practically inherited her mother's jealous traits since her first years around Harry and Belle weren't great since she was forced to share her father with them, and having a Nami for a secondary mother wasn't going well either. Hinagiku was jealous and felt betrayed, but in time she gotten along with her second mother and new siblings.
Hinagiku is probably feels like she is being abandoned again when her parents are leaving her in Amazon Lily, Hancock sighs at this and her sisters share her concern for the girl. Luffy is also concerned for Hinagiku that he stopped eating when he watched her leave, he doesn't feel hungry anymore and looks at Hancock, who returned the look to him as they are feeling guilty.
"If you excuse us" said Hancock as she and Luffy leave their seats and heads off to the door. Harry saw them leave the dining room and he is starting to worry, that is until Nami place her hand on his shoulder, getting him to look at her and see her smile reassuringly.
"Don't worry about it," said Nami. "You have nothing to be ashamed of."
"But..."
Nami stops him by placing her finget on his mouth to shush him and shake her head.
"Hinagiku will be fine, she knows that we all love her," said Nami "That's why Hancock and Luffy are leaving her here so she can learn the ways of the Kuja, much like you are about to learn to be a wizard."
"Mum is right, Harry," said Belle "Give her time and she'll be okay."
"...Ok," said Harry returns to his meal, although he doesn't feel hungry as the worry for Hinagiku still wanders in his mind."
With Hinagiku
The Kuja Princess left the palace and walks down the stairs after passing through a pair of guards who salutes to their princess but she pays them no mind. At the bottom of the stairs, she approaches the city's market where everyone around are doing their shopping while children runs around, either playing games with each other or under th supervision of their parents. Hinagiku sighs at this and walks away with a disgruntled look on her face.
"Stupid mum with her making me staying her while stupid Harry goes on to his stupid wizard school," said Hinagiku, kicking small rocks on the ground so they can skim a few times, unintentionally scaring off small snakes that slither casually along. "Grr, stupid wizards, stupid witches, STUPID MAGIC! GRRR!"
Hinagiku kicked a rock so hard that she caused it to launch into the air, showing that she doesn't inherit her mother's jealous nature but the combined strength of both her parents.
"Hinagiku?"
Hinagiku stops to turn to see Marguerite, she was doing some shopping in the market with her snake when she saw Hinagiku ranted out while kicking a rock high into the air. The blonde Kuja looks concerned when she saw the princess and decided to check up on her, not that she needed checking up as she is safe and welcome around all around the Kuja...not like last time when the Boa sisters were taken and sold to slavery 30 years ago.
Nevertheless, Marguerite still cares for the wellbeing for the future heir of the Kuja that she felt obligated to check up on her.
"Is something the matter?"
Hinagiku stares at the blonde Kuja for a moment and looks away with huff.
"Clearly I'm staying here while everyone is off to the wizarding world" said Hinagiku
"Oh right, I heard about that" said Marguerite "A magic school, sounds amazing."
"Right, and I'm staying here while he gets to go with everyone." Said Hinagiku crossing her arms. "It's not fair."
Marguerite looks back at Hinagiku and starts to chuckle at her, only to get a angry leer from the girl.
"Is something funny?"
"Sorry, it's just that, it's like last time" said Marguerite trying not to laugh at Hinagiku even further. "I'm sure you remember when you wanted to come along with Luffy on his voyage."
"Do you have to remind me of that?" said Hinagiku crossing her arms and looking away with an upset look on her face. "It was horrible without dad, I would've forgotten what he'd look like if it weren't for the wanted posters mum showed me and reading me those articles every night."
"And what about the snail calls, do you remember talking to him on your birthdays and when you wanted to speak to him?" said Marguerite. "It was a good thing we installed that white snail so to keep the calls private so no one, be it the navy, the government or rival pirates could listen to you. So you are well protected for Luffy and your mother knows how dangerous it can be on the open water."
"But Harry and Belle has to go." Said Hinagiku
"That's different, Harry was raised on the ship and Nami and Luffy did what they can to protect him from harm, same for Belle." Said Marguerite with a sad sigh. "Plus, Nami is very protective to all her children, considering the tragedy she went though her losing her own mother, Bellemere."
HInagiku frowned sadly at this, she knows about Arlong's raiding on Cocoyashi village and the fact that Bellemere sacrificed her own life so that Nami and Nojiko can live. Nami had to suffer 8 years being Arlong's cartographer while earning enough money to buy the village off the fishman, which he had no intention on doing since he was using the village as leverage to keep Nami in her place.
"Plus, the world they are going could be dangerous as they know nothing about it, so keeping you here will put your mum and dad at ease while you learn to grow strong when you learn how to fight like us."
"But what about Belle?"
"Belle has Nami to protect her and learn from," said Marguerite, "each and every one of you are a chip off the old block when it comes to mothers, and Luffy is crazy strong so you'll end up stronger in the future."
Hinagiku nods but sighs while looking back at marguerite.
"It's still isn't fair," said Hinagiku
"I know, it's hard to say goodbye but you'll see them again," said Marguerite patting Hinagiku's back. "But the best way to ease if is if you enjoy your last moments with your family before saying it."
"...Ok," said Hinagiku with a slightly defeated tone while hanging her head low in shame for acting so disrepectlly to everyone before.
"Come, let's take you back to the palace." Said Marguerite with a calm smile. "I think you worried everyone quite enough."
Nodding at this, Hinagiku heads back to the palace with Marguerite. Unaware to the girl, Hancock and Luffy were watching her through the high balcony above the gates, the former empress and her king were using their Observation Haki to spy on her and they sighed in relief when Marguerite was there to speak with, Hancock is grateful for Marguerite as she doesn't want to leave her daughter here with regrets.
"You see, there is nothing to be worried about" said Luffy smiling to his wife.
"I need to worry, Luffy," said Hancock "I'm her mother, it's my job to worry."
Luffy looks away and back to the view of the city and sighed.
"10 years, of being parents...it's hard" said Luffy
"And it doesn't get any easier, darling," said Hancock as she pulls Luffy into her arms and hugs him. "Especially, when there is a time when he have to let them go."
"Sadly, I wouldn't know about that since I never knew my parents," said Luffy with a sad frown. "Not even my mother as Gramps never spoke about her one bit. It's all marine this, marine that, and you're going to be a pirate, Luffy!"
Hancock chuckles at Luffy while lowering down to kiss him and he kisses back.
"It'll be quite the challenge for us to raise our children," said Hancock
"You know how I love a challenge, Hancock," said Luffy
"Indeed," said Hancock before she and Luffy return their sighs on the city and enjoy their moment together.
Later
Hinagiku returned to the palace and apologised to everyone for her behaviour, as it was caused by her worry of being left behind by her family. After a talk about this, things are going well between them and spend the day in Amazon Lily as a family, with no more drama. The day on the island helped Harry rest up, physically and mentally after working so much on board the ship during his punishment and the testing of the Devil Fruit Drive.
The Straw hat family enjoyed their short visit on the island, enjoying their final summer from shopping in the markets, conversing with old friends and partaking in various forms of entertainment from fishing to watching fights at the Battle Ring.
The male members of the crew stayed put on board the Merry while the female members are free to come and go at the city as they would join Hancock and Nami with the shopping. Sora and Banchina also enters the island to join Belle, Hinagiku and Harry, as well as a few Kuja girls who they know from their previous visits on the island. The Kuja girls are Azaleas, Yuri and Dandelion, they are born the around the time between the end of the Paramount War in Marineford and the reunion of the Straw Hats.
Azaleas is the daughter of Kikyo and an unknown man which the Kuja woman once courted as she desired a child back when Hancock was announced pregnant with Hinagiku. Azaleas mostly resembles her mother, especially with her serious persona.
Yuri is the daughter of Ran and Rindo, Ran is the one who gave birth to Yuri when the Kuja pirates petrified and raided a Marine base for their medical supplies for Luffy after a life saving surgery Law performed just after the Paramount War on Marineford. During that raid, Ran stole a sperm sample from the base infirmary and, with Belladonna's help, got pregnant through artificial insemination. The identification of the donor was never learned as the Kuja pirate never cared about that as she only wanted a child for her and her then lover Rindo to raise as their own.
Dandelion, or Dandy to her friends is the daughter of Marguerite, conceived through artificial insemination just like Ran as she wanted to be a mother herself. Dandy resembles more like her mother unlike the donor of the sperm sample Marguerite stole from the petrified Marine base. Blonde hair, brown eyes, very pretty just like her mother.
The Kuja girls has been best friends with Hinagiku for as long as they remember, they were sad when their princess left the island to sail with her father after he was crowned Pirate King. But they do catch up either through transponder snails or occasional visits to the island. Belle, Sora and Banchina got along with the Kuja girls, as well as Harry despite him being a boy who is also permitted to set foot on the island as an exception of the taboo.
The girls and Harry had a great time playing around on the island, especially when their mothers and Luffy join in on the fun, be it on the market, watching the fights at the Battle Ring, or relaxing on the beach.
Next Day
The day has past in Amazon Lily and it is not time for the Straw Hats to depart, the Kuja girls are hugging Harry goodbye, Hinagiku is being hugged by her mother and father which she hugged back while trying to keep a solemn look on her face but tears betray her along with who tight her returning hug is on her parents. Harry comes next to give his sister a hug and received one in return from her.
"I'm sorry about this, Hina," said Harry, ever since Hinagiku has to stay in Amazon Lily while the he takes the crew to the wizarding world, he couldn't help but feel responsible for Hinagiku feeling like she's been left behind.
Hinagiku whacks Harry on the back of the head, knocking off their uncle's hat off and cause his glasses to slide down his nose until it's handing on the end.
"H-Hey!" Harry exclaimed while pushing his glasses back up and picking up his hat.
"Don't you dare think for a second that this is entirely your fault, moron" said Hinagiku crossing her arms. "It was me decision to come here in the first place, and it's my own fault not to changing my mind sooner. Now go to that stupid wizard school and learn some dumb magic."
"Hinagiku, that was uncalled for," said Hancock scolding her daughter before turning to her sisters. "Be sure she behaves and pays attention to your lessons, I'll be testing her once Harry pickes her up after we settled."
"Oh she will" said Sandersonia as the tip of her long tongue becomes forked and her green eyes now yellow and serpentine. Hinagiku suddenly felt a cod chill from what her aunt said and gulped nervously.
"She'll be fine, I'll make sure Sonia doesn't go overboard on Hinagiku...much," said Marigold with a discreet smirk, causing Hinagiku to groan from this.
"Is it not too late to come with you?" Hinagiku said to Hancock.
"Sorry, Hinagiku, it's already stettled" said Hancock giving her daughter a pat on the shoulder. "We'll see you in a few months."
"Ok" Hinagiku in a defeated grumble while Luffy pats her head.
"It's time to go," said Luffy to Hancock and Harry, which the two nod at him and starts climbing up the gangplank. "Everyone at your posts, we're heading off!"
Nami, Robin, Kaya, and Pudding said their final goodbyes to their Kuja acqaintinces and heads up to the gangplank to board the Sunny. Once everyone is onboard, Usopp and Zoro hauls the gangplank while Jimbei takes the Helm and Franky preps the DFD below. Luffy and Hancock leans on the side and gives everyone at the harbour a wave, especially at their daughter while giving her a sad smile.
"Raise the Anchor," said Luffy to Usopp and Zoro
"Aye" said the Gunner and Swordsman as they head down to turn the capstan to raise the anchor.
"Turn on the engine!" Jimbei said through the reciever next to the helm, directly to the Shipwright who is down at the engine room.
"Aye" said Franky down at the engine room and turns on the Sunny's engine due to them being at the Calm Belt where no wind or current is around to help the ship move. So the engine will have to move the Sunny instead as the turbines whirl beneath the hull.
The Kuja at the harbour wave and yell out their goodbyes to the Straw hats and watch the Thousand Sunny sail off. The Sunny continues on sailing to the Calm Belt for a few more minutes until they are about 10 metres away from the island, enough for the Kuja to see.
"Harry, are you ready?" said Luffy
"Aye" said Harry with a nod and heads down to the docking room where Usopp is currently getting the DFD ready.
"Alright everyone, head inside for we are about to go!" said Luffy
The crew heads inside and gets ready for Harry to use the DFD, after a few minutes the Sunny starts to glow in a cyan hue and disappears in an instant. The Kuja who are watching from the coast gaped in shock and awe when the Sunny vanished before their very eyes.
Hinagiku saw the Sunny vanish and remains staring at the horizon, she sighs at this and turns away.
"Goodbye" Hinagiku in a whisper, while walking away from the docks. "And have fun, Harry."
