Zero Minus One
Chapter Eight
Admiral Harriman Nelson looked over at Lee Crane scared stiff as a board not knowing what would happen with the rogue submarine.
The countdown had begun with the computer announcing the following. "In Zero Minus Two, the Atomic Missiles will hit its target."
For the rogue Submarine, no one on board had to be run by a ground vessel. All of a sudden there was a massive explosive concussion.
First Class Robert Franks age 26 will announce the following. "HOLD ON EVERYONE, WE ARE ABOUT TO BE HIT WITH THE CONCUSSION." He and his associates next to him will hold on right along with Captain Lee Crane and Admiral Harriman Belson.
BOOM…..
The entire Seaview had been knocked around knocking out systems in the whole submarine, along with several of the personnel being through about to the ground hitting their heads, back, and shoulders.
Control Room….
Admiral Nelson saw Captain Lee Crane drop to the floor hitting his head. Nelson was hoping that he might not have another concussion to make matters worse.
Moving himself up from the plotting table to see the damage around the Control room.
Then he remembered about the Minisub and Commander Chip Morton and his partner. "Control room, this is Admiral Nelson, did the minisub arrive on board the Seaview?"
"This is Kiley, affirmative, sir. Commander Morton and the Minisub have arrived back to the Seaview without any type of injuries." He ended the transmission to help with Commander Morton to remove out of his diving equipment.
"Understood! Attention all hands please head to sickbay on whether you're injured. Doctor Alverez will be in charge having to be the Chief Medical Officer." Nelson says over the microphone with several calls coming into the radio shack and Sickbay.
Admiral Nelson needed to check with his captain and long-time friend. "Lee are you alright?" he cried out with the question.
With a shake of his head. Lee says the following. "I have a feeling Doctor Alverez is going to keep me in Sickbay," Lee remarked.
Nelson placed a warm hand over his right shoulder for support. "Don't worry, Lee, you're going to be fine. Just listen to the doctor. Rig
Right at this point, Doctor Alverez is here with the corpsmen to take you to sickbay." Nelson will say.
Doctor Alverez tells Captain Crane to take it easy. Meanwhile, Nelson had gotten on the microphone asking the aft missile room with Commander Morton to send out a diving team to check for any type of evidence that might be left of the rogue submarine or survivors. Even though it might not be possible at this deep.
Commander Morton picked up the mike to ask Admiral Nelson the following. "Sir, besides the evidence, what else do you want us to look for?" he takes a deep breath, waiting for Nelson to answer.
"Just be careful of any other vessels that might be in the region Chip. I want you and three others to go out and search?"
"Yes, sir. I will stay in constant contact with the Seaview." He reported.

NELSON INSTITUTE LANDING PORT
Four hours later the first of the flying subs to arrive. Security had been tight around the heliport, along with the officials from the State Department to greet the Russian science team and including Sylvia. She was anxious to get home to the house on the grounds of the Institute.
Landing without a problem from the high winds. The first one to come out of the hatchway was Chief Francis Sharkey with Sylvia, the female doctor, and Kowalski right behind.
Security officer Sergeant Eric Materson asked the two ladies to follow him to the security region with the three officials from the State Department to ask for a full report on their work on the Nuclear Fusion at the Russian main's nuclear reactor.
"Of course, sir. I will be sure that my team will have all of the information available on the nuclear reactor. But I must tell you, security had been tight while we were working on the reactor." Sylvia had to say to the security officer.
"That's fine, the State Department understands if as well." He remarked to the wife of Admiral Harriman Nelson. "Now please come with us to give a full report, while I wait for the second sub to arrive soon as well."
She was helped into the green jeep with the two officers, while the female doctor was helped on the other side.
Sergeant Eric Materson will be sending a coded message to the Seaview letting them know that the first of two flying subs have arrived.
Their luggage had been placed in the second jeep to be taken to their private quarters on the Institute grounds.

Security offices on the fourth floor
Chief Francis Sharkey, Kowalski, Ron, and Patterson were now altogether waiting for the meeting to begin with the four Russian doctors on Nuclear Fusion.
Admiral Donald Lewis of the State Department had been talking to the Seaview and the White House after finding evidence of the rogue submarine in the North Sea. No bodies had been found except several computer components on board the submarine.
There were still answers that needed to be answered.
Admiral Lewis with the State Department for the last 15 years in different areas of command. He walked in along with his secretary to take down the notes from the entire Russian team.
He and two others in the large security area stay calm, while everyone gets their turn to talk and explain their part of the mission working in the nuclear plant some 50 miles away.
Chief Francis gave a short brief on their mission to bring the Russian team back to the United States and the Institute grounds. The other three did the same keeping it short since the four were exhausted from the flying of 16-plus hours to bring the team back home.
There would be a great deal of political backwash when it came to the destruction of the rogue submarine, along with no one to take charge of firing missiles at the Seaview.
Though it was the Seaview job bringing in a salvage Russian submarine back to the States while taking it apart. Both the White House, Pentagon, and State Department knew of the ramifications of taking the salvage back to the States.
Admiral Lewis waited to read Sylvia's report since she had been working on Nuclear Fusion for the longest time.
