Chapter 1: Sayonara... Shadow the hedgehog

Our story takes place outside of the orbit of Mobius, the ARK was rapidly falling towards Mobius with a sort of giant lizard attached to the front, the Finalhazard, we see two golden aura flying around in space, seemingly fighting against the Finalhazard, and one heck of a fight this was as the two golden light, that reveal themselves to be anthropomorphic hedgehogs, ultimately won the fight but it was not over yet because although they've defeated the prototype of the ultimate lifeform, the ARK was still falling towards the planet that they're protecting.

While the two hedgehogs looked concerned on what to do now to stop it from colliding against Mobius one of them had an idea. "Hey Shadow! Do you think we can use Chaos Control on that thing ?!" asked the young hedgehog to the red-striped hedgehog who identifies as Shadow, said hedgehog look at him then nodded and said "Yes, Sonic, we can, however we will need to use everything we got to teleport such a large object out of orbit at least.", "Then what are we waiting for let's do this", Shadow nodded as both Sonic and Shadow charged towards the ARK, as they were doing so Shadow started to hear the voice of someone who was dear to him say, (Shadow, I beg you... give them a chance to be happy.), "Maria..." Shadow said to himself in low tone before refocussing on their goal with determination.

As the two hedgehogs were closing in, they both raised their hands with energy concentrating in them. "Now Shadow!" Sonic shouted until they let out a huge burst of light that enveloped the ARK both shouting "CHAOS CONTOL" then the ARK vanished and reappeared far away from the gravitational pull of Mobius.

"Maria... this is what you wanted, right?" Shadow said as he was falling towards the planet, detransforming to reveal a black fur instead of his golden appearance. "This is my promise I made to you." He then closed his eyes and await the moment he could reunite with his friend. While Shadow was falling Sonic still had a bit of energy to remain in his super form however he was exhausted and failed to notice his ally was gone, he turned around to face him only to see Shadow dropping to his demise with only one of his inhibitor ring remaining, Sonic went toward it and took it before going back to the ARK they'd teleported with a saddened expression.

*Inside a control room on the ARK

Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Rouge and Dr. Robotnik or Eggman were waiting, watching outside through a window until they heard the door opening behind them and turned around to see Sonic with his sad face. "Where's Shadow ?" asked Rouge worried for the hedgehog she considered a friend despite the fact they barely met and knew each other, Sonic slowly made his way to her while shaking his head no and gave her Shadow's inhibitor, Rouge was shocked then sad as well as partially everyone else in the room, after staying here a bit talking to each other about the things that happened recently before they all started to leave and as Sonic was leaving the room in last he turned around to see the room one last time before saying "Sayonara... Shadow the hedgehog"

*In limbo

Shadow opened his eyes once more and was a bit confused as he thought he died, yet he doesn't really feel alive either "Is this the afterlife ?" he asked to no one in particular looking around at the blank and lifeless void he was in, he looked down at his hands seeing his body being a bit transparent, he spent a couple more minutes in this place before a bright light started to shine he covered his eyes with his hands while narrowing his eyes (What is going on ?) he thought to himself and as the light fully engulfed the empty space everything went to black for Shadow

*Somewhere on earth

After a couple of seconds he started to hear the cries of a baby which confused him until his eyes opened slightly revealing a pair of tiny human arms, Shadow was shocked at seeing this and thought back to when Maria was still alive and remembered one of the stories from Mobius that Maria liked to read, among them there was one that tells a story that resemble his situation (Have I been reincarnated) Shadow thought, unaware of the new big journey that awaits him in the body of the boy named Naruto Uzumaki.

Note from me (the author) : wow this sure was quite the experience even it was short as hell, hope you all enjoyed the first chapter (who is more of a prologue if you ask me) of my first fanfiction, I am by no mean an expert therefor I look foward to the reviews (if there would be any that is) because i really want to give you a great experience reading my work so I want y'all to not be too kind with your criticism be as harsh as possible I'm new to this after all so of course there will be things that are wrong. And with that out of the way, about the next chapter, I think I'm going to make it way longer so you will all need to wait but with how active I am on the internet and my newfound motivation for this fanfiction I think you will be able to read the next chapter soon bye.
