Chapter 1: Creatures of the Night

There was a beauty to Gotham City that she'd grown to appreciate. When she first arrived this city intimidated her. The bright lights and loud sounds overwhelmed her and she hadn't even been burning tin at the time. But when she had this view, looking down on the city in the night, perched atop one of the massively tall skyscrapers, Vin found that she quite liked the look of Gotham.

She'd been living in Gotham for around a month now. She didn't know how she got here. She'd died in her battle against Ruin, and the next thing she knew she awoke, five years younger than when she died, in this city. When she awoke she was quickly disorientated by everything. There was technology that she didn't understand all around her. These metal monstrosities that people moved like they would a cart and lighting that people could turn on without burning gas or wood. When the sun rose, it was yellow and the skies were blue and most surprising of all the plants were green and there were real flowers like the one in Mare's drawing. She never thought she'd actually see a world of colour like Kelsier had talked about.

She was disorientated and homeless, but she'd had enough experience with both that it didn't bother her. She focused on learning what she could about her surroundings. This city was incredibly different from Luthadel but it was also similar in a lot of ways. It was easy for Vin to play the role of a beggar and learn information. And the fact that she'd come here with several metal vials gave her an edge her younger self didn't have. Although that was another oddity. When Vin arrived she had eighteen different vials of metals. She recognised her usual metals, steel, tin, pewter etc. She was even surprised to see that she had a generous helping of Atium beads. But there were several other beads that she didn't know. She'd tested most of them since arriving but something told her to ignore the last vial of metals that she had. Regardless, she had her metals and a few glass daggers.

She ended up selling all her daggers to make some money but most of her time was spent stealing and learning information to get by. Trying to understand where she was gave her a good distraction lest she stop and consider everything that happened around her death. Vin quickly learned Gotham's name and more importantly that she was in another world. This wasn't the Scadrial that she knew. One of the reasons she knew was because of the moon that orbited this world. Even now, a month after living in Gotham, the sight of it in the sky still surprised her.

Vin sat on a rooftop staring at the moon which was full tonight listening idly as the sound of the city roared below her. This city didn't sleep and there were so many people out at night. It was kind of overwhelming. It was why Vin preferred to ascend to high places, the tall buildings, skyscrapers she believed they were called, gave her easy access to the sky where she could feel comfortable. It was awe-inspiring how tall these buildings were and how much metal had been used to make them. Burning steel or iron revealed that this city was almost entirely metal. It was a coinshot's paradise.

Of course, there was a problem with that. One month of living here had practically exhausted Vin's metal reserves. Well specifically, Tin, steel, iron, pewter and the other basic allomantic metals. Vin hadn't needed her other metals much and had dared not to burn duralumin when she had no way of replenishing her metals. She had enough steel, and iron for a few more nights assuming she used one bead a night. She had significantly less tin somewhere around a day or two left depending on how she…

Thump.

The sound was faint but she heard it. She'd been expecting it. The creature that followed her had arrived. Vin had heard the stories and seen the light that flashed through the sky at night. Gotham City had a protector. A creature that stalked through the night and had been watching her for a few nights now. Vin first noticed the Batman a few days ago. She was disappointed to find out that he was just a man. At first, she thought that he was another Mistborn. But she quickly dismissed the thought. He used too many gadgets and most importantly she detected no Allomatic pulses from him. While he'd been watching her, she watched him with tin-enhanced eyes. He didn't move with the dexterity of someone burning pewter. He didn't push on or pull metals, he used some kind of metal contraption and ropes. If he were burning tin to watch her then she would have detected it. He was a normal man who for some reason came by nightly to keep an eye on her.

Vin decided not to act. She didn't know why he was enamoured with her but she knew he was this city's protector of sorts. Vin wanted to see if he'd approach her. Zane eventually did as did the Mist Spirit. If he was hostile, Vin had more than enough metals to escape from or deal with him. So she stayed in her place and focused her attention on the skyline. Gotham really was a beautiful kind of city, with architecture that had been designed for a Coinshot.

Batman grew closer, maybe he was going to interact with her today. She heard something as he approached. Her tin-enhanced ears let her make out conversations that he was having with someone. She couldn't exactly hear the words but it sounded like there was an older male voice speaking somewhere and Batman was responding to it. Was this another type of strange technology that this world had? Vin had been surprised when she first saw a TV, so she allowed herself to have an open mind for what kinds of magical innovations this world had.

Batman drew closer but then suddenly stopped as a light lit up the sky. Vin had seen it a few times. The light with the same symbol that Batman wore on his chest shone onto the sky. Batman didn't hesitate, he abandoned his pursuit of Vin and leapt off the building, his mistcloak-like cape extending and becoming almost like bat wings.

Even without burning steel, he flew through the night sky. Vin watched curiously. He'd been called back. Was he going to feast on the city's criminals? She wondered briefly if that's why he hunted her. She'd had to rely on her old thieving tricks to be able to survive. Was the Batman a creature who hunted all those who sinned in his city?

Vin stood from her perch, flared steel and Pushed. With an allomantic leap, she bound after him. She wasn't sure why she followed him, but she was curious. She still had a good amount of steel left to use tonight so followed. The good thing about being in a city like this is that Vin didn't need to drop coins or horseshoes to jump. She had anchors all over for her to jump from.

She followed Batman a good few blocks before they reached a building with the words GCPD written in bright blue on the side. A man with greying hair and a moustache in a brown coat stood at the top of the building next to a frighteningly large light. Vin had to extinguish her Tin just so that she didn't get blinded. With extinguished tin, she had to get closer than she was comfortable with to listen in on their conversation. So she hid in the shadows hoping to Preservation that her mistcloak would keep her hidden.

"What's the situation, Commissioner?" Batman asked.

"I'm still not used to that title," the Commissioner said as he handed Batman a file. "Quiet night's over. Break in at Ace Chemicals. Scientists reported seeing a giant crocodile. Killer Croc is still unaccounted for but I'm positive it was him."

"How long?" Batman asked.

"Twelve minutes. I have men on the scene and they are still investigating," The Commissioner said. "Reports are still coming in on what was taken but it seems Croc took one massive vat of chemicals and a hostage. One scientist, female… is that another one?"

Vin cursed as the Commissioner glanced at her and Batman turned around to look at her. She hadn't expected to be seen by these two, she wondered how he'd spotted her. The truth of course was that Commissioner Jim Gordon had grown accustomed to seeing people in the Dark after working with Batman for so many years.

Vin scrambled back, burning iron to pull herself away from the roof and towards a nearby source of metal. It wasn't an elegant escape but it worked. Vin also decided to burn tin again so that she could continue listening.

She heard Batman's voice again but it was quieter, a whisper maybe.

"She's not with me," Batman said. "Metahuman child, homeless, no identity. Possibly a runaway. I was going to approach her tonight but with Killer Croc on the loose…"

Vin frowned. What was a metahuman? Another new term but Batman thought she was one. Was metahuman another way of describing Mistborn or Mistings? If metahuman was spelt the way she thought it was it was one letter off from Metal Human. Was there actually Mistborn in this world? Moments later Vin saw Batman leap off the GCPD building and head in the direction of Ace Chemicals.

Vin didn't bother with deliberations. She followed after him. She didn't know why the idea of finding more Mistborn interested her but it did.

Keeping up with Batman was easy, even if she was trying to stick to the shadows and prevent herself from being seen. His devices couldn't quite keep up with Allomancy. If Vin wasn't careful, she'd overshoot him during the chase but Vin had years of Allomantic practice. Ironically she was younger now than she'd been when she'd been discovered by Kelsier.

Eventually, they arrived at Ace Chemicals. Batman didn't bother talking to the police officers, he just flew into the building, surprising the officers on site. Vin followed but she burned one of her newer metals bendalloy, to create a speed bubble around her allowing her to slip past too quickly for them to make out. The problem with using a speed bubble was that everything outside was frozen while she was inside. Normally that would be a good thing as she'd become a blur to everyone else but in this instance, it was a bad thing. Batman was still close when she exited the speed bubble so he glanced at her when she landed in a roll.

Batman narrowed his eyes as he stared at her but Vin wasn't threatened. She'd face down Koloss and Inquisitors, she could handle someone in a knockoff mistcloak.

Batman reached into his utility belt before he tossed something at her. There wasn't any metal that she could push on.

"Gloves and shoes," Batman said as she caught it. "If you're going to follow me, stay close and stay out of trouble."

Batman didn't wait for a response, he just took off in the direction where Killer Croc went. Vin hesitated, surprised. She paused and created a speed bubble so that she could take the time to inspect the gifts from Batman. Despite the fact the gloves and shoes were folded into a neat little pouch they felt surprisingly heavy duty. As a Mistborn, she was more than used to running around barefoot but her curiosity had been stoked so she'd play by Batman's rules if it meant she could get some answers.

Once they were on, she collapsed her speed bubble, flared pewter and caught up to Batman. Of course, she had to stop flaring it almost immediately so that she didn't surpass him. He barely regarded her, instead, he kept his eyes ahead of him. At least Vin thought he kept his eyes ahead of him, it was hard to tell with those white lenses of his.

They arrived at the scene of the crime. On one of the underground floors, similar to the storage caches Vin had visited, they found large metal shelves with different chemicals in various containers. A lot of the containers were labelled but Vin didn't care to read them. Her focus was on the scent. The smell of sewage was incredibly strong. She almost stopped burning tin to give herself some reprieve.

"Batcave," Batman said as he brought his hand to his cowl. "Killer Croc was at Ace Chemicals thirteen minutes ago. He took a researcher and a large vat of chemicals from sub-level one. I want to know what he might have taken from here."

"Batgirl here," Vin heard a faint feminine voice, maybe teenage, coming from his cowl. "Looking into it now."

"Robin brought you to the cave?" Batman stated.

"Uh, yeah. Hope you don't mind," She responded.

"It's fine," Batman responded. "Find out what you can. Have Robin bring the batmobile, four-seater, to my coordinates. Once I'm done with Killer Croc I intend to return."

Vin could just barely make out a whoop of joy in the background. It came from another voice, young male, possibly another teenager.

Batman got to work inspecting the area around him. The room had an eerie feel to it. Some of the lights flickered revealing the large metal shelves and their chemicals. There were a few computers and screens but many of them had been smashed. Vin noticed something near the computers. Bodies crushed as if a Koloss or pewter-arm had gone on a rampage through this place. This wasn't her first time seeing corpses so she wasn't quite disturbed by the site. What attracted her attention was the holes in the walls with bits of metal inside.

She'd heard about bullets and guns. She'd seen one while living in this city. A weapon that could rival the power of a Coinshot. She imagined that these holes were bullet holes. As she was burning steel, she noticed something odd. One of the walls seemed to have more metal in it than the other walls.

Batman seemed to have noticed something odd about the room and was approaching the same wall that Vin approached.

"What is Killer Croc?" Vin asked as she approached the wall.

"Waylon Jones, a person born with incredible strength and a unique skin condition that gives him scales instead of skin," Batman said after a brief pause. "He's also a cannibal."

"Is his strength large enough that he could move an entire wall by himself?" Vin asked as she stared at the wall.

"Yes," Batman said with a frustrated low growl before his hands returned to his cowl. "I need construction plans for Ace Chemicals and a map of sewer lines running underneath this building."

Vin continued staring at the wall before she sighed. So much for preserving her steel. She stopped burning the rest of her metals, burned duralumin and then she pushed. Normally when steel-pushing she had to pay attention to the weight of the object. If it was heavier than her, then she'd be pushed in the opposite direction. But with duralumin, she could empower her pushes. The fake wall slid under the force of her powerful push. She didn't rip the door off its hinges but it probably wouldn't be closing any time soon. Vin sighed as she grabbed one of her vials of metals, specifically a vial with steel beads. She grabbed the smallest ones but before she swallowed it she looked towards Batman with his large belt. He was staring back at her, his expression unreadable.

"Do you have water or something to drink in that belt of yours?" Vin asked.

Batman as it turns out, did have water in his utility belt. It wasn't much but a small packet, of drinkable water. He passed it to her and watched as Vin swallowed the bead. Once she felt the familiar warmth of steel she walked into the hidden chamber. Batman followed after wordlessly.

"Was that telekinesis?" Batman asked as they made their way inside. The inside of this chamber was dark but with the limited light filtering in Vin could see fine while burning tin. She had to stop however when Batman turned on a small light that he carried on his hands.

There wasn't really anything of note here, at least not to Vin. Smashed glass vials and spilt liquids decorated the walls and the one, where the smell of sewage came from, had been broken down. Batman knelt down inspecting some of the wreckage. For a man who was searching for a hostage, he sure did take his time with investigating.

Vin considered her response to his question. She had no idea what telekinesis was.

"I used steel to find the metal door and burned it to push it away," She said answering simply. She'd already revealed herself as a Coinshot. This was the best way to confirm if he knew anything about Allomancy.

Batman frowned in response but he didn't question it further. He picked up a piece of fabric and squinted his eyes.

"This is gauze," Batman said as his eyes began to glow slightly. "Blood type AB. Killer Croc's blood type is O Negative."

He looked towards the side. He picked up a small white box that had been clawed open. Inside the box were the remnants of bandages.

"The researcher was bandaged in here. Likely by Killer Croc," He said. "He didn't take a hostage, he took someone who understood what these chemicals were. He needs her expertise. She was likely hurt trying to get away or she was hit by a stray gunshot. Croc likely attempted to bandage her."

With his deduction made, Batman entered the sewer and Vin followed after him.

"What is a Metahuman?" She asked as she followed. "I heard you call me that to the commissioner."

"A human being with abilities like yours," Batman answered. "People like the Flash or Wonder Woman."

"The Flash? Wonder Woman?" Vin asked as she cringed at the names. Flash wasn't bad. Flash was like Breeze or Clubs and those were fine. Wonder Woman was just downright horrible. Vin realised at that moment that she'd never learnt Breeze's or Clubs' real names.

"Are they Metalborn like me?" She added.

"Metalborn?" Batman asked.

It seemed he really didn't know about Allomancy.

"Allomancers," Vin clarified but she was met with another confused glance. "We consume metal and burn them which gives us different effects depending on what metals we consume."

"I've never heard of Allomancers," Batman answered truthfully before he narrowed his eyes and brought his hands back to his head. "Batgirl what did you find?"

Vin had to burn tin again to hear the conversation. She also burned pewter to resist the scent of the sewage.

"Dr Jackie Rose was a geneticist at Cadmus before she was moved here," Batgirl said. "When she transferred, her research involved gene splicing but she changed to chemical compositions. She was involved in an off-the-books project for Ace Chemicals."

"Thanks, Batgirl," Batman said before he took off in a run. "Killer Croc is likely attempting to fix his disorder…"

Vin followed behind.

"I've sent the plan for the sewers to your HUD," Batgirl said. "Robin helped me highlight likely places where Killer Croc might be hiding."

"Received," Batman said.

He glanced back briefly and didn't seem the least bit surprised that Vin was still following after.

"We're heading for Killer Croc," Batman said. "This will be dangerous, stay back and…"

"I can fight," Vin said. "You told me what I wanted to know, the least I can do is help you."

Batman nodded.

"Who taught you to fight?" Batman asked. "You're clearly experienced, more than you should be at your age."

Vin didn't respond. She didn't know how to say that she'd learnt how to fight from Kelsier and honed her abilities against assassins and during a siege and war. Although that was an answer in and of itself.

"War," She responded.

Batman didn't respond. He kept running and so Vin followed.

"You said you could push on metals?" Batman asked.

"Yes," Vin said,

Batman removed an entire pouch from his belt and handed it to her. Unlike the previous ones, this one contained metal.

"Stay at range," Batman ordered.

Vin inspected the pouch. There were several collapsible bat-shaped knives inside. Actually, upon closer inspection, Vin realised that they weren't knives. The edges weren't sharp enough to really stab someone. So what they were projectiles to be used like coins? She found the idea odd but she didn't complain. It was a weapon that she could use.

She continued following Batman as he led her towards where this Killer Croc might be hiding. It didn't take them too long and they found him. Vin's eyes were immediately drawn towards Killer Croc and for the first time, she found herself feeling intimidated. Killer Croc was larger than any Koloss she had ever seen and while they had skin that didn't fit, his skin was spiked and patchy like a lizard's body. He had a large maw with razor-sharp teeth which made him look like some kind of fierce animal instead of a human. This wasn't the same kind of creature as a Koloss or even an Inquisitor. No matter how monstrous they had looked they had at least been human. Vin was finding it hard to believe that this creature was human.

He stood in the centre of a large underground room. The chemicals he'd stolen were boiling in a large pot alongside several other chemicals which he'd taken from elsewhere. Several wires were connected providing power to the chemicals. The researcher stood off to one side looking more annoyed and afraid as she poured chemicals into her concoction.

"How long will this take?" Killer Croc roared in frustration as he stalked from left to right.

"Calm down Jones," Dr Rose said, her voice laden with irritation. "I'm going as fast as I can. Works of art require finesse not reckless abandon."

"We can't wait too long," Killer Croc said. "The Bat's probably already on his way."

"So? I don't imagine he'll be arriving here anytime soon," Dr Rose with a dismissive wave of her hand. "Last I checked, he didn't have any way to get past that door, he'll spend hours looking for us as the trail goes cold."

As it turns out Killer Croc and Dr Rose were working together. She wasn't a hostage at all. That made things surprisingly uncomplicated. Vin liked that it wasn't complicated. She was about ready to go before Batman stopped her.

"We don't have enough information," Batman said. "I need to know what they are trying to make and I need to find a way to get close to Killer Croc and take him out before he notices."

Vin nodded. Both of those things could probably be easily achieved with a bit of Pewter to handle the monster. But she agreed to stay back and attack from range. She figured she might try something.

"Let me try something," she said before she inched forward and started burning brass and zinc.

Soothing emotions, that's what got her started as an Allomancer in the first place. It was how she proved herself useful to Camon and his crew and how she was discovered by Kelsier and the Obligators. Vin wasn't as good as Breeze was, soothing was his entire personality but she'd picked up some tricks.

Killer Croc was annoyed. He was worried that Batman was on their tail. She didn't need his anger she she soothed that away. If he was angry he might just attack the researcher which wasn't what they wanted. Focused on his anxiety, which he had a lot of. He was right to fear Batman finding them.

Dr Rose however was an artist. She was proud of her work and wanted it to be perfect. Vin field that pride. She raised it to hubristic levels. She wasn't as good a rioter as she was a soother. Allrianne had been the real rioter and Vin hadn't spent much time with her. The girl could be too much sometimes. She and Breeze deserved each other.

"What are you doing?" Batman asked as he narrowed his eyes, again. He did that a lot.

"Emotional Allomancy. I am soothing his emotions besides irritation and fear," Vin said. "And I'm rioting her emotions of pride."

"Mind control?" Batman asked, his eyes narrowing again.

"No," Vin hissed. "Just pushing aside their emotions."

She wisely decided not to reveal that she could control the minds of certain creatures who had been spiked too many times. Actually, Vin wondered if she would have been able to control the Inquisitors the same way Ruin had.

"I don't see why you're so pissy," Dr Rose said with a grin. "Once my formula is complete you won't have to worry about Batman ever again. You'll not only be stronger than Bane but you'll be faster too. A real animal. You'll have an army and I will have earned my name in the history books."

"But if Batman reaches us, we can both say goodbye to both our dreams. You haven't faced him like I have, he…" Killer Croc said and then he growled. "Why am I saying this?"

Vin cursed silently to herself, that was a bit too much.

"They're on to me," Vin said. "Do you know enough?"

"Yes," Batman said before his eyes scanned the room. He produced one of his bat-shaped projectiles. "Four sets of lights here. I'll take out the ones on the left, you take out the ones on the right. Once the lights go out, make them feel fear."

Vin nodded as she grabbed two of the projectiles. This would be easy enough for her. She pushed with enough power to send the first projectile into one of the lights causing it to burst. She waited before she released another. Instead, she waited for their shock and surprise to surface. With a careful bit of soothing, she started smothering the other emotions. Croc was easier, he was already anxious. Vin pulled on those emotions subtly letting him grow irritable but she also rioted his feeling of caution. Killer Croc approached slowly and saw the bat-shaped projectile.

Batman… who'd moved from beside her. When had he moved? He was so quiet. Regardless, He'd moved into position and was perched atop a stone gargoyle. Who put a stone gargoyle in the sewer? Who designed this city? Regardless, Batman acted quickly throwing one of his projectiles into one of the other lights, dimming the light even further.

Vin watched in surprise. The gargoyle he'd chosen was directly above Dr Rose. He dropped from the gargoyle with a rope attached to his leg. In one quick motion, she grabbed the woman before the rope pulled him up. She screamed and Vin rioted that Fear before she launched another projectile at the next light.

One light remained and Croc stared around watching for Batman surrounded by screams.

"What are you doing here Waylon?" Batman's voice boomed.

"Batman!" Killer Croc roared but his voice also quivered. Vin wondered how much of his fear was her Allomancy and how much was Batman's reputation. "I'm not scared of you, come down and fight me like a man."

Vin glanced at the gargoyle where Batman stood. He readied another projectile while holding the frightened researcher in one hand. Vin decided to ease on the Rioting. She wondered how he'd see when the last light went out. With one light remaining, Vin's tin-enhanced eyes could easily see pretty well but once the light faded, her vision would also be limited. The corridor they'd entered from wasn't well-lit so there wasn't much light so she'd be able to see but she doubted Batman would be able to.

Which meant that it was up to Vin to deal with the monster. She was surprised. Batman had said for her to stay back but he was allowing her a chance to take down Killer Croc? It didn't make sense but Vin wouldn't sleep on the opportunity. She placed one of the projectiles on the floor behind her and flared her Pewter. If Killer Croc was as large as a Koloss then she'd likely need a good amount of strength to take him out.

One the final light went out and as Batman started to speak again, Vin flared steel and pewter and she pushed. She flew across the room like a bullet and with a swing of her fist, broke Killer Croc's jaw.

The monster toppled over in a howl of pain and a silence penetrated the room.

~00000~

Bruce had seen a lot of things since he first put on the cowl just under ten years ago, but this girl kept on managing to be a surprise. He first detected her around two weeks earlier when she used her powers to fly past Wayne Tower. He monitored her for a few days and quickly learned that she was a homeless child but also someone with incredible control over her abilities.

The girl was confused. He could tell that much and from what he noticed she seemed baffled by the city. She never seemed to know what was around her and seemed to be completely ignorant of the world around her. She had the look and feel of someone who was sheltered from the outside world and didn't know how it worked. His first thought was that she was some kind of Human weapon of some kind. And then he met God or a god.

To put it simply Bruce was stabbed by a thug with a small knife. It wasn't fatal, just a flesh wound but the moment it happened Batman met a god named Harmony. Harmony spoke about the girl Vin and asked Batman to look out for her. It was a brief encounter but it was enough. Harmony told him about how Vin's mother killed her younger sister and how her older brother had died. Bruce learned about How Vin saw her father slaughtered and how she had to kill to survive. Bruce heard about how Vin watched her first love die. Bruce didn't exactly trust Harmony but he could understand the pain of losing loved ones so he observed Vin with more frequency. What he saw was simple, an orphaned girl with nowhere else to turn and he was brought back to the Teenager who currently lived in his house. And so he decided to approach her before the Killer Croc crisis began.

Now he stood as paramedics carried away Killer Croc. He'd get medical treatment before being sent back to Arkham Asylum and Dr Rose would be confined at the GCPD building until Bruce could have the chance to interrogate her. For now, he stood atop a building with the girl sitting beside him as she stared into the city.

Batman moved and sat next to her.

"You did well today," Batman said.

Vin shrugged.

"I thought you had answers for me so I decided to help," Vin responded.

"Are you looking for more Metalborn like you?" Batman asked.

"I don't know," Vin said. "Not really. I just wanted to know if there were more like me."

"Do you have somewhere to go?" Batman asked.

"No," Vin said. "I'm just passing time."

Batman watched as the Batmobile, driven by an eager Robin rolled in below them.

"Do you need a place to stay?" He asked.

Vin glanced at him. She didn't trust him. That was fine Batman didn't exactly trust her either but he was willing to help. He wasn't a psychologist but he could see the signs on her. There was a tiredness to her. She had bags under her eyes and a stiffness to her posture. She wasn't angry, not like Bruce had been. She was depressed and today and nights like it were simply excuses for her not to face her grief. Bruce didn't trust what Harmony told him but he trusted the sight of a depressed child.

He sighed as he lifted his hands to his mask and pulled off the mask revealing his face. He knew that there weren't any cameras nearby so he was safe for the time being.

"My name is Bruce Wayne," Bruce said. "What about you?"

Vin hesitated and Bruce could see it. There was a reluctance to her and she didn't want to reveal her identity.

"Vin," She eventually said. "Vin Vent… Renoux. I'm Vin Renoux."

CyberActors15: Hello there. Hi, how ya'll doing? Yes, this is a new crossover fanfiction. Yes this is a Batman (DC Comics) and Mistborn fanfiction. I realised this painful truth that there were very few Mistborn crossover fanfictions on this site. I literally just finished reading Mistborn and Wax and Wayne and I loved them and I wanted to try writing a different type of character to the one I usually write. Consider this practice because I never know when a Vin-like character will be necessary for my real writing. If it isn't abundantly obvious, this is set after Vin's death at the end of The Hero of Ages and it will use metals that were shown off in both the Mistborn Trilogy and Wax and Wayne. I didn't make up any metals. I know not everyone has read the Wax and Wayne series, I recommend it because it's really good, so I am only going to talk about the metals, nothing about the story. This story will take inspiration from a few different DC Comics IPs not just Batman. Anyway, Vin has encountered Batman now and I get to play around with this dynamic. If you enjoyed this chapter, feel free to leave a review also check out the books I wrote for more of my story content (These books are part of the Inheritors of Power Series by Caleb Gumbo, available on Amazon and Kindle). If you didn't like it, feel free to leave a review and tell me why. Feedback is always appreciated, and criticism only makes me a better writer. Until next time, peace.
