A/N: Last one on the list of updates, but it is finally here and I do intend to update more consistently. However, it should be noted that even if I don't, I'm not abandoning any of my stories.
Enjoy!
PS. I typically avoid multiple POV in one chapter for majority of chapters, but I'm making an exception for this one so that it flows a little better. Think of the second POV as a post credits scene.

Heimdall leaned against the wall, keeping watch despite the pain from the Kursed. While he did not blame the late kings for their actions and knew that they had their reasons for secrets, said secrets were currently tearing apart the Nine Realms. Jane Foster appeared to be infected with the Aether. Meaning it was more than likely the Princes would experience more loss. He hadn't been alive when Bor defeated the Dark Elves, though his father had warned him that the Aether was hidden and not destroyed. It was unlikely that it would be found, though his father had know it was likely he would be the Gatekeeper when the next Convergeance came.
He could see it tearing away at her body, destroying her from the inside out. Loki was attempting to draw it out of her, though even he was not powerful enough. He had a feeling that the Dark Elves would attempt to ransom him for the Aether once they felt it, and he was glad that Loki was there to handle the situation. The prince would have the strength that Thor did not to sacrifice him. Not that Loki cared much for him at the moment. He had, after all, tried to kill him two years ago. Heimdall had no qualms about doing what he thought was best for the Realms, and Loki had been headed down a destructive path.
He shifted his gaze to Hela, Odin's bloodthirty firstborn and Loki's mother. It was partly why he had attempted to kill Loki when he did. He didn't want him to become like his mother. It had been a hard choice, but he knew Odin nor Frigga would have the will to do it. Odin had proved that with his daughter.
She was fighting the Ancient One, one of Loki's former students. She was holding up surprisingly well, not gaining an upper hand against the goddess of Death, though also not dying. He could tell that this was partly due to her drawing power from a being known as Dormammu, though it was preferable to Hela killing her. Granted, she'd probably kill her eventually anyways, even with Dormammu's power assisting. The only thing that would kill Hela was something as powerful as Surtur.
He watched Thanos as he talked to his reincarnated daughter. While Hela needed the Eternal Flame to reincarnate a large mass of beings, the Necromancer had little issues with one person. Gamora was essentially a shell of herself, her soul in the afterlife, her consciousness and memories within her body. It was a dark and twisted magic that was illegal for a reason, though he neither Hela nor Thanos would care.
He was using the Mind Stone on her, asking her about the map to the Soul stone. Having no soul in addition to the use of the Mind stone ensured that she gave the information freely. The Soul stone was on Vormir. Which was not good if that were true. It would mean that the titan would only need Reality if he got the Soul stone before anyone else did.
Heimdall let his gaze sweep across the universe, gathering different bits of information. The Avengers were gathering up heroes across Midgard, though it was a small, motley group. It did not help that many of Midgard's heroes did not seem to know each other.
There was a child with spider like abilities, though they were fresh and no one knew of his abilities quite yet. There were also three assets that were currently under Hydra's control. The Maximoff twins and the Winter Soldier. While all three were powerful, the twins hated Stark with a passion and the Winter Soldier would need his mind cleansed.
The Nation of Wakanda would be incredibly helpful if anyone on Midgard found them, though it didn't seem likely to Heimdall. Hank Pym was working with his Quantum particles and ants, though neither were ready for use in a war. Another man was working with technology and had wings, though he did not have association to the Avengers. Romanoff's sister was out there as well, though she would need to be tracked down.
In short, the defenders of Midgard were extremely shorthanded given their potential, though Heimdall had no way of letting anyone know of their potential allies. He focused his sight again, this time on Loki's projection that was currently running Asgard. The double was doing a decent job, all things considered.
There had been more than a few assassination attempts on the prince, even moreso after Heimdall's disappearance, though the double easily avoided such things. The Einjerhar and the Warriors Three would be useful against Thanos, though unfortunately Heimdall knew not where Hofund had ended up. He doubted that it was still on Asgard. There was a chance that some ships capable of jumps were in the Søppelplass, though whether any of them were operable was another story.
He wished that he could contact one of the princes to relay the information he had, but he was already incredibly drained from contacting Loki earlier. Thus all he could do was wait and watch.
Wanda wondered where Hydra was. She'd made progress with her powers using the scepter that they'd had, though it'd disapeared a day ago to some sort of magic user. He hadn't been human, though she'd still managed to get into his head. She'd seen his worst fear, though it was his greatest wish that scared her most.
He worked for a being known as Thanos, who desired to wipe out half of all life. His fear was failing this endeavor. He'd devoted his life to Thanos' cause and craved his approval and validation. It was sickening really.
He'd also given her a taste of her own magic, black tendrils of magic infiltrating her mind and showing her various scenes of her brother dying. It had left her shaky and unconscious for a bit. When she'd finally came too, Pietro was pacing anxiously. Not knowing where else to go, they'd stayed in their rooms (cells). Though from what she could tell, they were the only ones there and would have to leave eventually.
Perhaps she could help try to stop Thanos, though if there were any more like the dark sorceror who had taken the scepter, she knew that neither her nor her brother would be any match for them. Though if he planned to wipe out half of life, what choice did they have? She could tell that as much as she hated Stark, this Thanos was much worse. They could get their revenge after.
"We don't have a choice Pietro. You didn't see what I saw." Her brother was pacing, running a hand through his hair irritably.
"I saw a shell in the middle of our livingroom, threatening to kill us for two days. Or have you forgotten that?"
"I saw half of life gone in an instant. I don't want to risk losing you. Do you want to lose me? This is bigger than Stark. Stark will still be here for us to take care of after." He stopped pacing, blue eyes searching hers.
"How do you know it's not another lie, that he wasn't taking advantage of your fear like you do to others. Just because the possibility exists doesn't mean it'll happen." She was starting to have half a mind to ahare what she'd seen if he was going to he this stubborn.
"Even if it is only a possibility, is it worth the risk?" She knew he was conflicted, she was conflicted as well. She hated Stark with everything she had. He had stolen her home, her family and her hope for a normal life. Yet she loved her brother more than she hated Stark. If saving his life meant helping the Avengers, she would do it.
"Besides, what better way to hurt Stark than after fighting by his side and gaining his trust?" That caught his attention.
"Okay." He picked her up, speeding out of the facility until they reached a nearby airport. From there it wasn't hard to get into one of the pilots heads and prompt him to fly them to New York immediately.
