Chapter 1
"The time has come to start this machine, Clarence William." The scientists say. "Sure, we will set it off to [REDACTED], got it team?"
"Got it. Great! Let's start the feline machine team!" They say, quickly getting the cords and plug ins for the machine.
They quickly connect it into a computer and outlet, officially starting up XS-76 Ares, the 10th copy of the original. Ares whirrs to life, and he lights up with red photons flowing inside him. They quickly find his starting point and functions. They get him to examine his workings and if there are any faulty moves, just in case there's damage or bad code.
"STARTING MECHANISM." Ares mechanically says, as he lights up more, looking like he's about to explode, which makes the scientists nervous if it went wrong.

"DETAILS OF XS-76 ARES: white titanium-steel plating, with carbon fibers, Kevlar, Durable black Exoskeleton with graphene, Wiring, copper, red photon energy core with diamonds, lasts 2 months without charging, huge red painted claws and paws, Red painted jaws, Red painted accents on some plating and red lines, scanner, internal workings function, jaw fully functions, everything is in perfect condition. Super rockets are ready for launch, and extra thrusters are ready. My solar panels work perfectly, and will catch any sunlight it can."
Ares points out details of his mechanical, durable body, and his function is to discover more about nature and the ocean, since humans can't do that without mechanical and robotic help. The scientists sigh of relief, glad the thing didn't explode on their faces.
"There, we started the machine. Just like he said, he is in perfect condition Clarence." The scientists say, as Clarence nods. "Now, let's set it free to our destined location." Clarence says, as the scientists nod.
They let him blast off, and Ares is counting his Mph. "2 hours till destination, Doc." Ares says. "Got it Ares, now, we will wait." The scientist says, over the radar and speaker. Ares is going at 300 mph.
He is flying over many cities and towns to reach the designated area of investigating and exploring. Taking in his surroundings and the beautiful, beautiful clouds and sunset. It looks so nice from up here, I'm glad I was created.
He looks down at the earth. He feels like he's in a dream...
Time skip
Ares stops at the lake territories, examining his surroundings. "Found the location, Doc." Ares says, over his long distance, satellite communicator. "Great Ares, wait, Ares!-" The scientists glitch heavily and cut off, as if something went wrong. And something did go wrong, but it wasn't unintentional.
"Doc? You hear me?" Ares says, trying to find the signal, but never found it. Ares checks his fuel gauge, and he has barely any fuel left to fly. "Why did they put out barely any fuel?" Ares says, annoyed. Ares did not expect to be so low on fuel, and why the communication failed so suddenly.
I need fuel before I can go back, damned scientists...
Ares scans his surroundings, finding some herbs. "Yarrow and catnip." Ares mechanically says. Ares picks up some territorial scents with his sensors, and it's unfamiliar to him. Cat scent, marking territory. I never thought my organic versions would actually send these out. I pick up barely any territorial scents around the humans and their homes...
He silently walks around, his body beeping with sensors and internal workings. He walks around the forest and the surrounding lake.
Ares keeps scanning, before checking out the big lake. He spots a cat, and Ares waves. The cat comes over, its a young cat. An apprentice. "Hello, who are you?" Ares says, Ares sounds way different, but cool sounding. The apprentice is kind of excited, wanting to know this mechanical, super cool machine.
"My name is Squirrelpaw." The apprentice says. "hello, Squirrelpaw. Do you know any humans around here?" Ares says, not even expecting her to call them twolegs or something.
"humans? What? You.. wait, you mean those twolegs?" Squirrelpaw says, kind of confused. "Yes, twolegs, humans, homo sapiens, you name it." Ares says, in his mechanical voice.
"there's barely any here, that's why were all here. And you call them funny names, whoever you are..." Squirrelpaw says, stepping back and looking at my sleek, super cool feline body. "I'm XS-76 Ares, you can just call me Ares." Ares says, nodding.
"that's awesome! What are you, exactly?" Squirrelpaw squeaks, Letting Ares explain what and who he is. "I'm a robot built to explore and take in information about plants and the ocean, but... My creators had lost connection and signal, making it hard for them to find me."
Squirrelpaw was pretty confused, and tried to make sense of the situation. "so, your a robot, what's that? And, it's cool you are built to explore!" Squirrelpaw meows, as Ares replies, "A robot is a non-organic being with Supreme intelligence and great understanding, and I'm also equipped to fight and defend."
"Woah, that is so cool! Your living without blood and a heart?" Squirrelpaw says, still a bit confused but is making more sense of it.
Ares had enough and explained the whole thing, making Squirrelpaw kind of overwhelmed with the details and information. "Okay okay, Ares, you can stop.." Squirrelpaw says. "I'm finished anyways, squirrelpaw. Let me examine this area more, got it?" Ares says, scanning with red rays.
"Yeah, you already mentioned your scanner, but that's still so cool!" Squirrelpaw says, before remembering something... "I gotta go now, Ares, hope to see you around! I gotta go back to my clan."
Squirrelpaw pads off fast, as I keep scanning my beautiful surroundings. I take pictures just in case, taking in the beauty. "Good thing those scientists and my creator built in emotions and senses to me, I love it here." Ares quietly says, sitting down in the midnight, and the full moon. He is enjoying his robotic life for the first time.
Then...
Something pulls in Ares non-existent soul from somewhere...
Ares is confused and fuzzy, making his red photons flow around his mechanical body.
He can feel the forest already pulling him in. They prevented Ares from reaching NASA and his creator. Starclan awaits...

So far, Ares is in the Dawn book, where they find the lake territories and yeah, all that stuff. I will need some planning for this but you can check out my other AU about a human spirit and his "monster" formation.
