"See you for evening patrol, Kitty," Ladybug waved to Cat and took out her yo-yo.
She was about to zip away when out of the corner of her eye, a shadow crept into view. Ladybug stopped, turning.
"Cat? Is that you?" Cat liked to play, but he usual didn't hide in the shadows. A meow floated up to Ladybug's ears and she smiled. "Okay, I can stay a few more minutes."
Then she stopped. It was a cat noir, but it wasn't her Cat Noir as a fluffy black cat stared at her with beseeching green eyes. Ladybug squatted down, wiggling her fingers. "Come here, Kitty. Want some pets?"
The little cat trotted forward, and so was purring loudly on Ladybug's lap. "Oh, such a sweetie!" Ladybug cooed, covering it with kisses.
What Ladybug had failed to notice was one jealous feline, named Cat Noir. Landing with a thump, he glared at the fluffy thing in Ladybug's lap. "You don't cover me in kisses," he pouted.
Ladybug smiled. "No, but I'll give scritches."
Soon, the two cats were purring away, best of friends and jealously forgotten. Ladybug of Paris was friends with all cats, and Cat Noir intended to keep it that way.
