Here's another chapter! Things got pretty interesting with Kitsune and Melissa. I do like that I'm adding more things about Kitsune, like she went Shiketsu High School instead of U.A. She's not like a pro hero of any kind, just got her hero license so she could use her quirk whenever she needed to. I find that fun to add! Also, Uraraka and Melissa were finally somewhat getting along... but now Melissa has Uraraka's necklace.
I highly recommend reading The Winter Dance, and everything else after that just to get the full experience especially if you want to know who Kitsune is!! Enjoy :)
In Class 1-A's common room...
Something about Melissa holding the heart necklace made Uraraka's heart skip a beat. She couldn't look away as she held it in her hands. She looked like she was interested in it or wondering what it was. Uraraka didn't care in that moment however and stomped over to her. Melissa held it up to look at what it was made of, which made Uraraka worry that she might drop it.
"Melissa, what're you doing with my necklace?" Uraraka said, trying to stop herself from causing a scene.
"Sorry. I was just curious as to what this was made of," Melissa said back, "I've been looking for a crystals for inventions for powering up certain types. It's really pretty. Where'd you get it?"
Seeing her holding her heart necklace wasn't something that she liked. Something about the way she held it and had this oblivious look on her face really annoyed her. She had no idea what she went through lately. That heart necklace wasn't something to wave around all willy nilly like that. It was special and was valuable to her. Sakura even just got it fixed not that long ago. She had no idea what happened the past few weeks, and what her and Midoriya went through.
Uraraka clenched her fists, feeling so annoyed that she would even take it without permission.
"It's none of your business Melissa," Uraraka said back, "That necklace is special to me. Izuku got it for me."
Everyone noticed Uraraka getting annoyed at Melissa. Even AllMight noticed Melissa holding it and was worried how things might turn out. They were worried that Uraraka might cause a scene. Midoriya's eyes widened when he noticed Melissa holding her heart necklace. The way she held it as well made him a little nervous.
Melissa looked at it, and Uraraka noticed something in her eyes that caught her off guard. Uraraka noticed Melissa looking at Midoriya, and then back at her. Uraraka felt like her heart skipped a beat as Melissa held the necklace. Something about her seemed genuinely curious as to what this meant, but Uraraka wasn't really noticing that in the moment.
"So... You like Deku?" Melissa pointed out, "Did he get this during the Winter Dance or something?"
Uraraka's eyes widened, and she felt a little annoyed. Her face felt a little red from embarrassment and remembered what she went through to get Midoriya's attention that week. Melissa had no idea what's been going on, but that didn't help Uraraka calm down at all.
"Are you serious? Izuku and I are together!" Uraraka cried out without meaning to.
The dormitory went silent, and everyone stared at them.
Uraraka stood her ground as Melissa's eyes widened in shock. In that moment, Melissa felt something slip out of her hands. Uraraka's eyes widened in shock as her heart necklace fell to the floor. She tried to stop it from breaking by activating her quirk, but she wasn't fast enough. The heart necklace broke into a few pieces just like last time. Only this time, Uraraka was awake to witness it happen.
Uraraka's heart felt like it ached as she stared at it with such intensity. Seeing it broken right in front of her made her feel like everything that Midoriya and her have been through was gone. Tears fell down her face without even realizing it as she hesitated to pick it up. Something about it felt so hard to even look at it like this.
"Ochaco! I-I'm so so sorry! I-I d-didn't mean to! I'll get you a new one!" Melissa cried out.
Uraraka couldn't take this anymore and stood up to her.
"You can't! This is one of a kind!" Uraraka cried out with tears streaming down her face, "It's not something you can just replace! You would know that if you were actually here!"
Uraraka had gotten everyone's attention, especially Kitsune's. She couldn't take this anymore, seeing her heart necklace broken.
"I'm sorry Ochaco. I didn't mean to drop it," Melissa said back, "I didn't know that you and Deku were even together. I just thought that you liked him. You two even went to that Winter Dance together. I just thought that he gave it to you during the dance, that's all."
"You have no idea what we've been through together Melissa," Uraraka said back a little harshly, "The Winter Dance. The body swap incident. Izuku got a really bad fever, and I had to heal him myself! There was even a magical spell book that tried to take Izuku away from me! Even this necklace almost took him away from me! It was proof of what we've been through together, and you just broke it!"
Melissa looked really upset, and Uraraka didn't back down.
"I-I'm sorry... Maybe I can fix it..." Melissa said to her.
"No! I don't need your help fixing anything! You may be quirkless and can relate to Izuku a lot more than me, but that doesn't mean that we're friends," Uraraka said through her teeth.
Something about that hit Melissa pretty hard, and Uraraka noticed her looking at Midoriya. Her eyes grew wide in shock as if she were hurt. Everyone was looking at Melissa and Uraraka, but something about that moment bothered Melissa. She looked around to see everyone looking at Melissa as if they already knew. AllMight looked worried that Uraraka might slip out about some other things.
"De-Deku... You told her...?" Melissa said under her breath, "You told... everyone...?"
"Melissa... I-I..." Midoriya said back, but couldn't get himself to speak up.
"So what? Everyone can know that I'm quirkless, and I can't know about you two being together?!" Melissa cried out, "Deku, I thought we were friends. I might have even..."
Uraraka's heart skipped a beat, knowing exactly what she was feeling in that moment. Melissa's face even looked a little flushed once she stopped talking. With everyone watching them, she felt like she had to get out of there. Then she looked down at the necklace, and Melissa went over to it to clean it up. She tried to pick it up, but Uraraka couldn't take it anymore.
She launched for heart necklace, trying to get the pieces away from her. Melissa ended up losing her glasses in the process, and everyone was trying to get them to stop fighting. Uraraka kept trying to take back her necklace when Melissa was just trying to clean up her mess. Kitsune tried to stay away as something kicked in.
"Give me back my necklace Melissa! You've done enough damage already!" Uraraka cried out.
"I didn't do anything! I was only trying to help clean up the necklace!" Melissa cried out.
"Ochaco! Melissa! Stop fighting!" Midoriya cried out.
Uraraka noticed Midoriya looking at them, and he looked really distraught about the whole thing. She held the necklace, but still felt really frustated. In the corner of her eye, she thought she saw something glowing blue.
Before she knew it, all she saw was blue as she felt something familiar come over her.
Midoriya's eyes widened in shock, seeing something blue hit both Uraraka and Melissa at the same time. They fell to the floor as both of them held pieces of the heart necklace. Everyone was shocked to notice that Kitsune's eyes and horn were glowing blue. Midoriya's eyes couldn't look away from her and realized what had happened. Kitsune's eyes soon stopped glowing, and she looked distraught. She looked down at them, feeling worried about them and everyone else.
"I-I'm sorry... I-I tried to stop my quirk from hitting them... T-They just wouldn't stop fighting..." Kitsune explained to them.
"I thought that you control it better?!" Iida asked her, "We can't have your quirk going off all the time! Mr. Aizawa would never hear the end of it!"
"I-I'm sorry... I-I know I can... I-It was Uraraka... S-Something was bothering her... S-She was really upset... even more than last time..." Kitsune explained to them.
"We can't have you switching everyone around all the time! It'd be just too damn confusing!" Bakugo yelled at her.
Midoriya noticed her crying, which just made her even worse. She backed away like she might accidentally make someone else switch places.
"Please... Stop fighting..." Kitsune said to them.
Before Midoriya could help her, Melissa and Uraraka got up with a headache as they held their heads. He noticed Melissa's glasses on the floor and picked them up to give them to her. Just by the way they were getting up, he could tell that they had switched bodies. Midoriya felt a slight blush form around his face, remembering how things turned out for him, Uraraka and Bakugo. AllMight got closer to who he thought Melissa was, looking worried about her.
"I-Izuku...?" Uraraka said back, "Is that you...? I-I can't see anything..."
Midoriya felt his cheeks turn red, hearing Melissa's voice say his first name. He could barely look at her as he gave Uraraka Melissa's glasses.
"U-Umm... H-Here Me--... Ochaco. These'll help," Midoriya said to her.
"Are you okay Melissa?" AllMight asked her, a little confused.
Midoriya gave Uraraka glasses, which seemed to confuse her. He could tell that it finally hit her when she was holding glasses. Her eyes widened and quickly put them on. Everything looked much clearer, which threw her off for a moment. She looked at Midoriya and then at her hands and clothes, knowing full well what just happened. Even Kitsune was in the corner, looking really guilty. Uraraka's face turned bright red as Midoriya checked on her.
"No... No! There's no way!" Uraraka cried out, "I can't be in Melissa's body! Not again!"
"I-I'm sorry Ochaco..." Kitsune said from a distance.
"That's what happens when you argue and fight in front of Kitsune," Iida told her, "You should've known that."
Then Midoriya noticed that Uraraka was looking at herself as they got up from getting hit by something. They widened their eyes in shock and looked down at her hands. Midoriya noticed AllMight looking at Melissa and then Uraraka and realized what had happened.
"Me-Melissa...?" Midoriya said back.
That got everyone's attention as Uraraka's body looked at Midoriya. Her eyes wide in shock as she looked at herself next to Midoriya. She opened her mouth and pointed her finger at Uraraka, but nothing came out. A blush formed across her face, seeming to be more shocked than Uraraka.
"O-O-Ochaco?!" Melissa cried out.
"Yes. It's me," Uraraka said with Melissa's voice, "Kitsune accidentally switched us. I should've known that this would happen."
"N-No, No! I need to finish that invention! I-I don't have time to switch bodies with anyone, especially you!" Melissa cried out, "If you hadn't just told me that you two were dating, then none of this would've happened!"
Midoriya tried to hold Uraraka's hand to keep her calm, but she clenched them into fists. Then Melissa accidentally made herself float, causing her to eyes to widened in shock. She tried to get down, but she could barely balance herself in the air. A few of her friends grabbed before she could float up to the ceiling and pulled her down.
"Are you serious? You're the one who broke my necklace!" Uraraka cried out, "It was one of a kind, and you broke it!"
"I didn't mean to break it! You really think that would intentionally want to break something that special to you?!" Melissa cried out as she floated in the air.
"Considering you confessed to everyone that you like Izuku, yes. I think you would!" Uraraka cried out.
"Stop! Both of you!" Midoriya cried out, getting in between them, "This is not helping anyone. I just thought we could all be together as a class and hang out with friends. Even Kitsune wanted to have a good time and get to know everyone. I thought that you two could actually get along. That's all I asked for. Ochaco, tell her how to get down."
Midoriya noticed her hesitate, but soon she told her how to turn off her quirk. She did what she was told and landed not very gracefully on the floor.
"Trust me when I say that Uraraka's quirk is hard to control," Bakugo commented.
Midoriya couldn't look at them, but he knew that Uraraka and Melissa were staring at him for a moment. Then he looked at Uraraka who was stuck in Melissa's body.
"Ochaco... I expected better from you..." Midoriya said to her, "You shouldn't have said that in front of everyone like that... How can I trust you with anything if you're going to blurt stuff out like that...?"
Midoriya noticed how hurt she looked, and she didn't look away from him. He stood there, looking down at her and didn't stand down. He felt his heart ache, seeing her say things that she shouldn't have said. Melissa being quirkless wasn't exactly a secret that he kept, but he at least hoped that she would be more respectful towards her.
And him.
Uraraka didn't say anything as Midoriya walked over to the pieces of Uraraka's necklace and picked them up. He looked at Melissa who was stuck in Uraraka's body and felt a little weird seeing her stuck like this. He knew that it was Melissa, but he felt like he just talked to her. He was upset that she would even do this, but he wondered if it was true.
That Melissa liked him.
"Melissa... You shouldn't have taken the necklace," Midoriya said to her, "I know that you haven't been around here at all, but... she and I... we've been together ever since the Winter Dance. I gave her that necklace, and Ochaco's right. It's one of a kind. You can't replace it. I know that you didn't mean to break it, but you should've known that it was important to her and been more careful with it."
Melissa's eyes widened in shock, and he knew that she felt bad for what she did. She looked down at the floor as Midoriya grabbed all of the necklace pieces. He carried it away, and everyone let him walk away.
AllMight helped Melissa up once he found out who she was. Iida helped Uraraka up, feeling a little weird about it.
They all looked at him as he walked away with it.
Once he left, Mr. Aizawa came running into the common room. He looked around to see Kitsune upset, Uraraka and Melissa on the floor. Everyone else was around them as if they had gotten into a fight. He let out a sigh, knowing full well what just happened.
"Someone better explain to me what I just walked into here."
