Days has passed with the procedure now completed , both Edd and his father are in a coma with Edd's body covered in scar from his new found life source . All the blood and body parts needed to rebuild what was lost , is quite large as his father is in a deep coma , slowly recovering . Tessa has recovered enough to started training again and running the house since now she is the one in charge . Ed and Eddy are given residential status as they stay by their brother side .
Eddy : He should be awaken by now .
Eddy by the mansion pool , looking outward into the tree lines and woods ,pondering about what will happen next .
Ed : Jeez , Eddy , don't be such a plum . You alway come up with idea that could Double D smile here and there . Remember when you torched the Chemistry lab and all of us got suspended . ?
Ed is in the water , enjoying the stay and trying to be positive .
Eddy : You mean the time I got him suspended and couldn't be with Marie ,so he locked himself at work and didn't come home .
Eddy remembers the blunder and the disappointment he given to Double D . He knows their brotherly bond can never be broken yet there has been time he saw the rage and anguish in Double D's eyes in reaction to his mistakes , it hurts him as he is supposed to be the bigger brother , the one to look after him and Ed yet Double D had to bare the weight alone .
Eddy : You didn't see the way he look at me when we got home , Ed . I don't think you would ever understand that .
Tossing an empty can of soda into the trash bin .
Ed : yeah but i remember why you did it .
Eddy raised an eyebrow at Ed.
Eddy : what do you even mean ?
Snarking at his brother like how can the youngest and dumbest can remember something that he can't .
Ed : You were trying to make Double confess his feelings to Marie but failed . Remember , you were trying to sabotaged her project so she would join Double as a duo but ended up destroying our and Double D projects instead .
Eddy frowns as how outragous Ed's words are then he remember that day . It was group project , Double was practically doing their entire project by himself while constantly sneaking glance at Marie cause she just changed her hair style and also noticing his constant gaze to the point she was blushing a bit . Eddy took notice and started messing with little brother.
Eddy : Come on , man . Just ask her out already .
Giving some light elbow jabs at his brother .
Double D : I'm busy with your shit enough and i dont take advice from you . Here , it's done .
Completing the diagram of mixing everyday common chemical that would results in different outcome depends on ratio .
Double simply just scooch over the edge of the table , looking out into the window but keep his head just within view of Marie . Eddy looked at the two and it was so obivous that both of them has grown some basice feelings for each other yet neither was willing to make the first the move so Eddy decided to do it for them . He took advantage of the 5 minute break as everyone is too busy catching up on nonsense and gossip to be focus on class . Marie is with Lee and May , reading about gossip online , unaware that Eddy snuck up to her desk and stole her fire extinguish foam box which was connecting a to burner . He pulled the box inadvertedly tips the burner to fall onto the ground and spread fire everywhere . The sudden sound of glass of breaking and fire spreading in the lab cause a mass panic as all the students rushed out of the room with Double D bolted and carried Marie right out of them room without a second thoughts before going back for his brothers . The Chemistry teachers along with a few other rechieved a couple of fire extinguishers and put out the fire before it could spread out of the room . After investigating the incident , Eddy was found guilty of accidentally caused the fire , got all of his brothers suspended with him which caused Double D to be furious as he was trying to make a move but now being put in a bad light again . Which Eddy didn't know as after that day the suspention while he was on a grocery chore with his mom to past the time , Double came home early at noon after an empty shift only to meet Marie who was waiting outside his trailer home . Double D was in shock to see her there , even thought he was hallucinating after working his mind to dust . He slowly approached her unitl his presence was known to her as she turned around with a small box in her hands .
Marie : Oh , i was just about to knock . Were you working ?
She points to his work jacket covered in old splatter of oils and paint. Double D got embrassed and did'nt want Marie to know about his job so he made excuses.
Edd : oh this . Nah , it just some old things . Nothing to think about there .
He just took it off and threw it to the side with a thought as he saw that ever calming , gently smile on her lips .
Marie : Well , i made you some cookies . As a thank for saving me from the fire , also carried me princess style for the first time . I never thought to experience that so young .
She blushed a bit while darting her eyes toward him and to the sides to which he also did , remembering the feeling of her hugging him tight as he carried her to safety .
Edd : I was , i was just . You know , react to the moment.
He could'nt muster his words so she just handed him the box with a smile before walking to the main road where a car was waiting her to drive home . Double D has to check if the coast is clear or not before opening the box and find a dozen of homemade cookies . He eats a few of them on site as he was hungry for not eating breaking but when he went inside ,only to find Ed sleeping on the couch or at least pretending to be asleep as he is already too aware of how his brothers perform certain things.
Double D : Just stop pretending and have some cookies already . You aren't in my shit list , not anymore .
He put the box on the table as he changed his clothes a simple shirt and boxers as he is ready for bed , 2 straight full days shift gave him the yawn all morning , so much so that Chuck let him off the shift for a change .
Ed : I can't believe Marie is such a good cook .
Ed stuff his mouth with 2 at a time before Double D snatch the box away .
Double D : Save some for Eddy . Consider this saved his head for now .
He turned around to face Ed.
Double D : don't tell him where the cookies came from or why it is here and i mean it , Ed . . I'm still pissed at him. You can tell him when i'm dead . Also , if you guys are planning something , do it far away , i need some sleep .
Double D plop on his foam bed and just snooze to sleep almost immediately as Ed had some hard time resisting the urge to eat the cookies but for his brother , he relented the need and keep the entire things between them .
Ed : So Double D already forgave you long ago and he has died like Tessa said so i can tell you now . Also , her cookies were delecious .
Eddy thinks about it then it hit him.
Eddy : Ed you are a genius. We needs her . If anyone to bring that emo asshole back to life , it's her .
Eddy runs off as Ed stays confused .
Ed : I'm smart ?
Eddy runs through the hall and just barge into Tessa's room only to find her enjoying the pleasure of company to which Eddy immediately shut his eyes as the girl runs off as Tessa puts on a robe then kick Eddy right back out of the room flying . Eddy hit the wall face first and knocked out cold then waking up to Tessa hang him up on a wall like Jesus .
Tessa : You got some nerve so you will know why i got my nick name as the Puppeteer.
Sharpening her knives as she snarl at every flick.
Eddy : hold up hold up . Look , i'm sorry but ...
Tessa hold a knife just under his neck.
Tessa : I will have some blood for that transgression and nothing less.
Eddy starts screaming to Ed but the maids already has him covered with snacks as the hour of torture passed . Eddy is now crying with a bright smile as 2 maids has tickle his feets for the last hour and still going .
Tessa : with the fun all and done , now , tell me what great idea of your .
Eddy is still crying and weezing as he tries to talk with little breath he has .
Eddy : Marie , we need ... we need her ...
Tessa flicks her hand and the maids took him down and to the medical ward as she goes to the phone .
Tessa : guess we need a princess kiss this time .
She digs deep to think of a way to approach this issue since she has to think from Marie's perspective . It's never easy forgetting the site of your love one being murdered right in front of you like how Moroque destroyed the family acestral home and killed her mother in his first attempt to take over the family empire . The vivid memories still haunts her everyday and she knows Marie is feeling the same or even worse as Marie is not built for the life . Tessa goes to the communication hub of the mansion and asks the team to connect to the Facily family and it is tough as they have recently stepped up their security but with time they can get through . Tessa doesn't has time so she decides to handle this herself and Marie better go willingly cause she won't take no for answer. Going back her room , putting up her battle clothes and cloaked armor , all under a sleak suit . Pony tail with some makeup to bright up her tired eyes , packing her smg and knives under the jacket on her way to her car . With no headup , she just races out of the mansion premises and drive straight to the Flacily's crime family homebase .
Maire is still moping in the mansion as she mostly spend her time beside her grandma as she is the only one who can even comfort her during these dark time . Her grandma help Marie past the time by knitting and cooking while listening to her stories and advising her on the future ahead . Marie is reliving those tragic moments in her mind as she was in the process of making some cookies but the memories keep replaying in her mind , prompting her to go and take a quick breath only to see a car racing in the distant towards the mansion . She knows all of her siblings and parents cars so the one approaching from the distant stands out immediately to her , also to her guards as they quickly escort her to her grandma quarter as security goes into lockdown with the car now in audio range . Her grandma goes to large cctv monitor to watch the guards deal with the potential atacks . The car basically rams into the gates causing a small fire as a small teams of armed guard open fire on the now destroyed car . While that was happening , Tessa snuck into the back after dispatching some guards with her paralyzing poison gas and hard fist to the face , eventually making her ways to Marie's location .Seeing the locked door with 2 guards standing outside , she tap into the comms channle and fake a voice command ,using Marie's father orders to pull them into a trap as they walked into a shock wire traps . She waits no time connecting into the lock and without effort , the lock open as Marie and her grandma hides behind the desk as her grandma hold up a gun pointing at Tessa . Tessa doesn't even flinch or even get into a battle stance , she just walks then closes the door behind her without even considering that gun to be a threat .
Tessa : Trust me , that gun won't even leave a dent on me jacket . I will tell you that ,so if you want to live a bit longer to spend time with your daughter and potential great grand kids. Put it down and let me talk to your grandchild.
The old woman reluctantly put the gun down but still keep Marie behind her . Tessa opens her mask and Marie let out a sigh and asks her grandma to put the gun down as she steps up to talk with Tessa .
Tessa : Look , i know a shadow without doubt that you will probably marry my half brother and have a bunch of kids before you graduate at this point . I don't care but i do care when my family empire is getting destroyed by my idiot blood brother so i need you to get your ass up and go with me as i need you to wake my stupid half brother Edward up from his coma sleep .
Tessa sounds frustrated with every words and has been desprately trying to let it out to someone she can trust and Marie , despite being so weak ,is one of them , or it is just her thinking that Marie will be her sister in law soon so she just doing it before hand. Marie is surprised by Tessa's words.
Marie : No , i , i saw Edd died on the woods , he can't be a...
Tessa : Alive ? Yeah ,try to tell yourself that when i show you where we are keeping him . Now either you go with me willingly or i will start killing everyone here as i drag you to him .
Tessa pulls out her smg and load it up in front of Marie to make her point but Marie doesn't need much convincing as if there is a sliver of a chance that Edd could be saved , she would take it . She turns to her grandma and her eyes tears up as she tries to tell her goodbye but her grandma stops her lips .
Grandma : Oh dear , you don't need to tell me . I know you will comeback to me later and i wish you find what you seek . Also if this boy could be alive and you two are back together , don't be shy to ask me advice on how to woo him to bed .
Marie blushes like a tomato while Tessa burst out laughing at Marie's embarassment .
Marie: grandma .
She shriek as she joins Tessa and leave the mansion . The security teams arrive a few minute later as by that point , the girls are gone but her grandma already calm things down as she goes to the chaple to prays for the best . On the car ride back , Marie twiddle her thumbs as she doesn't know how to approach the fact that the boy she loved whom she saw died is possibly still alive , what would be her first word . Tessa looks over and can feel the nervousness from Marie but she has to stay strong and vigilant as the burden of the family is on her now . Driving past the multiple security gate , Marie finally see the mansion and by the stair to main door , Ed and Eddy are waving their hands as they heard that Marie are coming and when the car stop , the both them come up and give Marie a big hug the moment she put her foots out of the car .
Ed : Oh Marie , oh you are here , you can wake Edd up from his eternal sleep .
Eddy : Let her go numbnut.
He peels Ed from her as Tessa joins them .
Tessa : Alright , let not get our hope up till we can actually get him to wake up . Come on .
