"Alright, what is going on up… here?" asked Tom as he and his wife came through the trapdoor in time to see Van and the others stood around the room.
"Wh… who are you?!" asked Sabine while grabbing Mariette and Adrien to put the two of them behind her at the same time Tom got in front of all three of them to put even more distance between the teens and the strangely dressed man.
"No need to be so scared, ma'am," said Van as he held his hands up.
"I'll be taking my leave soon enough," he said.
"You won't get away with this, we will find a way to beat you and to get all the Kwamis back!" said Adrien.
"Please, you haven't even seen everything I can do now," said Van before using Tikki's side of the scythe on Marinette's wall. This caused some rubble to fall as a large hole appeared but nothing as big as what Plagg's had done at the school.
"Plagg's side completely destroys anything it hits while Tikki's creates something new from the rubble left behind," he said as the rubble turned into stone golems out in the streets.
"That's not how their powers should be used," said Marinette, who was clenching her hands so hard that her nails dug into her palms.
"I would expect nothing less from a loser's disciple," said Van before jumping out the hole created by the attack. Blue energy platforms appeared under his feet thanks to a pair of blue and white boots that Fluff had been absorbed by.
"Marinette," said Tom as his daughter fell to her knees crying.
"It's over, we've lost everything and I couldn't do anything to stop him," said Marinette through her sobs.
"No, we still have a chance," said Adrien.
"He's right, there's always a way, we just have to find one," said Mullo who flew over to the bluenette along with the rest of the Kwamis.
"Wait, what are these things?" asked a panicked Sabine.
"I'll have to answer that later, mom," said Marinette while wiping away her tears and standing from the floor.
"Because right now I have an idea on how to defeat Van," she said while grabbing the Miraculous Box.
