Several hours before the fight had begun, as Ladybug and Cat Noir were leaving the scene of the Akuma attack.
"So, they are the new Ladybug and Cat Noir," said Van from his vantage point.
"And you aren't getting anywhere near them, Van, I'll make sure of that," said a hero who stepped out of a portal behind him.
"Who are you?" asked Van while turning to see a rabbit themed hero.
"Call me Rewind, but it'll be the last thing you do as I've come to stop you and the Calamities," said the hero before knocking Van into a portal without anyone seeing before she too jumped into it before the portal vanished.
"Since you're here, I guess my plan almost worked," said Van while in the burrow.
"You destroyed Paris and killed my boyfriend right in front of me," said Rewind.
"So, you managed to take Fluff back and planned to beat me in the past since you couldn't do so in the future, but do you…?" asked Van with a smug grin that dropped as the hero cut him off.
"I beat you in the future by taking you to space," said Rewind.
"What?!" asked a surprised Van.
"You had hidden the scythe so getting Tikki and Plagg back was out of the question, but I won't allow you to get away with it again," said Rewind while motioning for Van to look behind him.
"This can't be, are you planning to send me back to the dawn of time?!" asked Van while looking at a black portal that was void of anything.
"A couple of billions of years before, actually, you may be immortal but that doesn't mean you can't be dealt with" said Rewind before pushing him through.
"Guess that ends it," she said.
"Sure does," came a voice from behind her.
"Bunnix?" asked a surprised Rewind while turning to see a younger version of the hero.
