This fanfiction is exclusively dedicated to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but it will also incorporate elements from other franchises.

For the first twelve years of his life, Alexander faced mental and spiritual training that could only be described as pure torment. If he had the words to express it, he would have called it hellish. There were moments when he started to question whether the very people whose job was to make him stronger were trying to push him towards his end, and when he turned twelve years old he began physical training, and that is when he realized he did not know true torment until he started to train with Hiro, Hiro, in particular, stood out as the most demanding of them all. He constantly urged Alexander to run as fast as he could, and when exhaustion brought Alexander to the ground, Hiro would tell him to heal himself and insist he get back up to run again. Hiro had a strict mantra: "Fighting consumes stamina. If you run out of stamina, you won't be able to fight back. If you can't fight back, you're finished. In this world, that means you're as good as dead because your enemies won't stop attacking just because you're too tired to defend yourself. There is no mercy in battle, and fighting for the survival of humanity is not just important; it is a matter of life and death."

As Alexander sat there, he gazed at his grandfathers, wondering about the endless grueling training sessions. He had too much respect, and perhaps a bit too much fear, to directly question Hector and Hiro about it. His mind churned with curiosity, especially when he overheard whispers about how, once he turned sixteen, the real training would commence. Hector had a sinking feeling that Hiro planned to subject Alexander to the infamous Turtle House training regimen. Thankfully, he noted with some relief, Alexander had not yet been burdened with the dreaded turtle shells that previous students were forced to wear during their workouts.

Every evening was filled with lessons, while the daylight hours were devoted to intensive physical activities. While many people might consider children of Alexander's age to be cute and cuddly like teddy bears, he had transformed significantly. Most of his baby fat was gone, and for a child not even fourteen, he was capable of lifting weights that would surprise most kids his age.

As they gathered around the dinner table one evening, Hector shot an intense look at Hiro. "If you even think about making Alexander go find a curvy lady and bring her back here for you to meet, I swear I'll knock you flat on your back," Hector warned, his voice steady and serious. "Just like Roshi got smacked sometimes for being a perv. And if that happens, I hope she's a gorgon, because maybe then turning into a lawn ornament will finally put an end to your nonsense." Hiro chuckled at his friend's warning, responding with amusement. "You shouldn't be so dramatic, considering you're married to a gorgon yourself. Who knows, maybe one day Alexander will carry home a lady who turns out to be your wife or at least one of them, and he won't even realize it!"

This led Alexander to become curious about the adventures his grandfathers experienced when they were about the same age as his parents. He was eager to hear the stories they had to tell. Hiro and Hector saw this as the perfect opportunity they had been hoping for. They carefully shared their tales, but there was more to them than just entertainment. Each story carried hidden lessons meant to teach Alexander important morals that he would need as he grew older. Everything Hiro and Hector did was thoughtfully planned to help Alexander develop not only his physical strength but also his mental abilities.

They understood that training was about more than just hard work. It was also about building character and understanding the world better. Hiro made a promise to Alexander that he would receive a reward at the end of their training. This reward was not something that any of the Slayers or Guardians had ever been given. It was something truly remarkable and special. However, there was a condition attached: Alexander had to prove himself worthy of this extraordinary reward. He needed to give his best effort during his training sessions with Hiro, Hector, and his siblings. Only by showing dedication and perseverance would he be able to earn the chance to receive what had never been given before. This challenge not only motivated Alexander to train hard but also made him contemplate the values of effort and worthiness, important lessons for his journey ahead.

Thanks to the valuable training that Alexander received during the weekends from his grandfathers, the practice sessions he had during the weekdays with his siblings and family friends felt much easier in comparison. This weekend's training was not just about physical strength; it also taught him discipline, focus, and the importance of hard work. As a result, Alexander started to grow in strength and confidence, developing skills that set him apart from many of his peers.

With the solid foundation he built through these lessons, Alexander began to thrive in his school environment. He quickly earned a reputation as what many would refer to as a teacher's dream student. His enthusiasm and dedication to learning became evident when he consistently achieved excellent grades on every quiz and test his teacher administered. Teachers often found themselves impressed by his performance, as he seemed to grasp concepts much quicker than most of his classmates.

When he was six while other kids his age were typically learning about basic shapes, and colors, and perhaps beginning to understand letters and numbers, Alexander was already ahead of the curve. By the time he reached the age of thirteen, he could read and write at a high school level with ease. His ability to count wasn't just limited to simple numbers; he was able to perform small addition and subtraction problems in his mind, showcasing his impressive mental math skills.

However, not everyone was supportive of Alexander's achievements. Some parents of his classmates expressed their concerns, claiming that Alexander had parents who pushed him too hard and set unrealistic expectations. Their comments seemed to stem from jealousy, as they were uncomfortable with the fact that Alexander was excelling while their children were struggling to keep up. Despite the criticism, Alexander continued to flourish, driven by his love for learning and the encouragement he received from his family.

On Alexander's thirteenth birthday, which was celebrated on January 19, he sat quietly for a moment, lost in thought as he prepared to blow out the candles on his cake. As the flickering flames danced before him, his mind drifted back to a vivid memory from five years prior, when he was just eight years old. That summer, he embarked on a camping adventure with his girlfriend, Willow, their parents, and his two grandfathers named Hiro and Hector. It was supposed to be a fun and carefree trip, a time filled with laughter and exploration in the great outdoors.

However, despite the warnings from their parents not to wander off too far from their campsite, curiosity got the better of Alexander and Willow. They decided to venture deeper into the woods, far beyond the boundaries they had been told to respect. Hours later, they realized they were lost. Panic began to set in when they heard a mysterious voice calling out, "Alexander! As soon as I find you, I'll devour you!" The voice echoed through the trees, and the sounds of heavy crashing followed, sending chills down their spines. Knowing they had to hide, the couple instinctively played dead, hoping to go unnoticed.

To their horror, the source of the voice soon emerged from the shadows. As the figure approached, he pulled out a picture and glanced back and forth between the image and Alexander's face. The tension rose as the figure, a frightening creature with claws poised to strike, seemed to recognize Alexander. Just as he was about to attack, a powerful force intervened. Anthony, Alexander's protective father, charged in with a fierce growl, fangs bared, and shouted, "Don't you dare touch my child, you filthy beast!"

Anthony was enraged. He demanded to know who had sent this creature, who had dared to threaten his son. The creature, known as Mad Jack, responded with a chilling laugh, saying, "Wouldn't you like to know? Let's just say that a few of your enemies found out the truth. That's all you're getting from me, you filthy hybrid. You and your wife, both of you are filthy hybrid traitors!" As he lunged toward Alexander, the danger escalated.

Suddenly, a blazing fireball struck Mad Jack in the stomach, knocking him back and infuriating him further. Jessica, Alexander's mother, had joined the fray with a fierce declaration: "Don't you dare touch my child, you filthy beast!" At this moment, Willow's parents arrived, asking in alarm which of their children had been attacked. Anthony quickly confirmed it was his son, while confusion spread as they questioned how Alexander had been discovered despite being hidden from view.

Before they could process the situation, Mad Jack transformed into his more monstrous form, growling menacingly, "And you never will!" In a swift and dramatic turn, Sheila, one of Willow's parents, pulled out a glowing talisman and began chanting a spell. At the same time, Ira brandished his wand, casting a powerful magic missile. The two spells combined, creating a formidable force that struck Mad Jack even harder, causing him to cough up blood from the impact.

In the chaos that ensued, Hiro and Hector managed to grab Mad Jack from behind, their powers allowing them to drain vital information from his mind. They sought to uncover how the enemies had learned about Alexander's hidden lineage. After extracting the knowledge they needed, they released Mad Jack, who fell to the ground in defeat. Jessica, not hesitating for a moment, used her magic to burn him to ash, effectively ending the threat.

A few days after this harrowing attack, Hiro and Hector approached Alexander. They understood that it was time for him to learn the truth about his family, their powers, and the dangers that lurked in the shadows. It was a pivotal moment, one that would change Alexander's understanding of who he was and the world around him forever.

That was the moment Alexander realized just how brave Hiro and Hector truly were. They had fought against terrible beings that wanted to hurt him and his family. Until the disguise fell apart, he had thought all the frightening tales he heard before bedtime were just stories made up to scare children. Now, he felt a deep shock as he learned that those monsters were indeed real. His heart raced with fear as he considered the danger that could be lurking around his loved ones. At that moment, Hector let out a laugh and reminded Alexander of the reason behind all the tough training he was going through. Hector explained that both his mother, father, and siblings had gone through similar training programs. They had prepared themselves to face threats, but Alexander had not yet been able to tap into the skills that should have come naturally to him. It was like a pipe blocked by debris; if the pipe was clogged, water could not flow. They needed to find a way to clear that blockage and his current training was the path they chose to fix the issue.

Hiro joined in the laughter, enjoying how Hector put things into perspective. He addressed Alexander with a kind voice, saying, "Grandson, this training is not meant to harm you or make you suffer. We love you just like any other member of this family. However, you must grasp the fact that our family bears responsibilities that are hard for anyone outside to fully understand. We are one united family, and our lineage has been tasked with protecting humanity from the shadows. So, whenever you find the training too tough or feel like giving up, think about how Hercules faced his challenges in that movie, from Zero to Hero. His journey was filled with trials, just as yours will be. But the good that you will bring to others will far outweigh the struggles you face now."

As Alexander took in his grandfather's words, he felt a whirlwind of emotions. He began to ponder the reasons behind the attack on him. Hector seized the moment to explain, sharing that those responsible were indeed monsters who harmed innocent people. To them, humans were merely prey; they saw human lives as nothing more than meals. This understanding deepened Alexander's appreciation for his family's tireless work; they dedicated their lives to keeping such monsters at bay. These predators viewed Alexander's family as obstacles in their path, making them a target for removal, permanently.

He explained that Alexander needed to prepare himself for an active role as the Guardian. The Guardian's job is to protect the Slayer, who battles the enemies threatening humanity. Hector emphasized that each family member possesses distinct abilities that support their mission. He highlighted his mother's strengths, describing her as a sage—a powerful witch with the talents of a druid. He then referenced Alexander's father, Anthony, who may not seem extraordinary at first glance but was, in fact, a Damphir. This meant he was born from the union of a vampire and a human, combining the strengths of both while avoiding their weaknesses. This unique heritage was what made Anthony so resilient and tough.

As the pieces of the puzzle started to fit together, Alexander's understanding of his rigorous training deepened. He realized that it wasn't just about personal growth; it was about stepping up to become a hero for humanity. He felt more motivated than ever, knowing that the skills he was developing would empower him to protect the innocent, including his beloved family and all those he held dear. With each grueling session, he envisioned himself as a guardian, prepared to stand against the darkness that threatened everything he cherished.

"Not every monster is purely evil, just as not every human being is inherently good. They are all individuals, which means you must remain vigilant about those around you. Some people may harbor harmful intentions driven by their selfish motives, while others might wish to bring you harm out of envy, greed, or even darker motivations. This is the essence of the training you are currently undergoing, grandson. It could truly be the deciding factor in whether you survive or not. It is crucial to take this process seriously and pay close attention to the lessons your siblings are imparting."

With a determined resolve, he quickly inquired about Willow, his girlfriend, hoping to find some comfort in knowing she was also facing her challenges. Hector, ever quick on the uptake, informed him that Willow was indeed undergoing her intense training as a Witch. It was clear that he was not the only one confronting such formidable trials. Hector even playfully teased Alexander about whether he was ready to admit that Willow might be tougher than he was. This light-hearted banter momentarily eased the tension, reminding Alexander that he and Willow would face their challenges together, just as they had always done in the past.

After taking a moment to reflect on his grandfather's legacy, he blows out the candles. The atmosphere is filled with a mix of nostalgia and determination. Hector turns to him, informing him that physical training is slated to begin the very next day. His training will involve his brother, Leonardo, focusing on hand-to-hand combat, ensuring they are well-prepared for any challenges ahead. Additionally, Hector mentions that he will delve into blacksmithing, carpentry, and botany alongside Donatello, Frankie, Usopp, and Hephaestus. They will also master various weapons under the guidance of Revy. Once he turns sixteen, he will incorporate more rigorous physical exercises into his training regimen.

Determined to absorb as much knowledge and skill as possible, he eagerly starts his training the next day. Time flies, and just over three and a half years later, it is now August 1st. We find Alexander, along with Hector and Hiro—who has adopted the name Xander—deep in the woods. They are preparing to grant Xander special powers. After the powers are conferred, they explain that the final phase of training will commence with Rose. Xander has twenty-nine days before school starts, and hearing this daunting timeline prompts him to dash off in a flurry of anxiety, inadvertently running straight into Rose. In a comedic turn of events, he finds himself screaming for help, shouting about needing saving from his big sister.

Meanwhile, now that Alexander's journey has reached this point, Hiro and Hector head to California, and they decide to assist Buffy. A short while later, they arrive in Los Angeles, walking down the bustling streets towards Buffy's house. As they approach, they discover two police officers lying dead and stripped of their clothes. Hector waved his hands over the bodies giving them a copy of the police uniforms back onto the dead bodies and Hiro revived them, they used their abilities to learn what had transpired. It turns out the officers were killed, and their clothes were stolen by someone who wanted to impersonate them. They warn the officers not to discuss this strange encounter, as it could endanger their lives or make them seem insane.

With a sense of urgency, they press on towards Buffy's house. Minutes pass, and soon they witness what appears to be a group of vampires disguised as officers entering the residence. A commotion erupts, leading them to believe that the vampires may have attempted to attack Buffy and her family. However, it is likely that Buffy managed to confront the threat herself. They approach the door and knock, prompting Buffy to open it slowly. Her eyes widen in surprise as she sees two familiar faces—people she hasn't seen in a long while the ones that saved her cousin's life. After confirming their identities, they step inside and quickly begin explaining the urgency of the situation to the Summer family.

They inform them that their youngest daughter merged with a unique key—one that can unlock anything, including portals to other worlds. This key is inexplicably tied to a goddess who is on a relentless quest to retrieve it, willing to go to great lengths, even resorting to killing their daughter. Therefore, they recommend that she enroll in a magical school where her innate potential can be harnessed for protection. Though hesitant, Buffy's family ultimately agrees to the plan.

In addition to this pressing concern, they inform Buffy that she must venture into an insane asylum to confront a demon that poses a significant threat. They explain that her friend Pike, who had been assisting her, has been sent to a place called the Watcher Academy, which means she may not see him for an extended period. After successfully vanquishing the demon, they stress the importance of the family relocating to Sunnydale, or at the very least, that Buffy must do so for the safety of the world. Once everything has been clarified and understood, they take their leave, knowing that they have laid the groundwork for the challenges ahead.

At last, the moment arrived for Alexander to embark on the final stage of his training. This time, he would be training under Rose, but there was a significant difference compared to his previous experiences. Unlike others he had trained with, Rose insisted that he join her crew at the very base she had established for training combat medics. These medics were vital during natural disasters, wartime scenarios, and dire emergencies, including terrorist attacks or situations where monsters went berserk, causing chaos in small towns and cities that many people were unaware of. These were places so obscure that even locals often did not know they existed.

Alexander felt a wave of dread wash over him at the thought of being trained by Rose. Many saw her as a healer who tended to avoid combat whenever she could. However, what most did not realize was that her avoidance stemmed not from fear but from her innate kindness. She possessed an immense compassion for others, which shaped her approach to training. Despite her gentle nature, she had high expectations for those who worked alongside her and was particularly exacting with her trainees.

When Alexander finally reached the base, he stepped off the carriage he had shared with Rose. He took in the sight before him; the place resembled a military field base more than a training facility. It had a rustic charm, suggesting that the crew had built it with their own hands and could easily dismantle it to relocate if necessary. This was a place that could respond to emergencies at a moment's notice.

"Alright, men, gather around," Rose called out, her voice firm and commanding. "Say hello to our newest trainee, my kid brother Alexander. But let me be clear, I do not want any special treatment for him. He will complete the full Healer training regimen, and I expect each of you to be tough on him."

The seven men who stood before her exchanged glances filled with sympathy, but they welcomed Alexander with open arms. One of them cheerfully informed him that he would be sharing a bunk with one of the crew members. He reminded him with a grin, "The fast eat, and the slow watch the others eat," leaving Alexander puzzled as it made little sense to him.

As he settled in, Alexander observed the food the crew consumed. It seemed to come from the surrounding forest, primarily from hunting and gathering. The sheer variety and abundance made him question why more people did not venture into this area to collect food. One of the men chuckled at his curiosity and explained, "It's simple. No ordinary human could survive in that forest. It's known as the Demon Forest, and that's the nice name for it."

The warning lingered ominously in the atmosphere, wrapping around Alexander like a heavy blanket. This moment was a strange mix of excitement and fear as he steeled himself for the challenges that lay ahead of him. While he began to eat what was served to him, it quickly became clear that there was no meat on his plate. His meal consisted mainly of grains, fruits, and vegetables. Confused, he turned to one of the men sitting nearby and inquired about the lack of meat. The man burst into laughter, a sound that echoed in the dimly lit room. He explained that if Alexander wanted to enjoy meat as part of his meals, he would need to earn it. Meat was reserved for those who produced results in the rigorous training sessions they were to undergo. It was a privilege, a reward, not a guarantee. The men around him pushed themselves harder in their training sessions with this in mind; they all wanted to eat the "good stuff."

As Alexander looked around the table, he noticed the impressive physiques of the other men. They were muscular, almost like warriors, and had an intimidating air about them. They looked as if they could have been bandits or marauders, the kind of individuals who might strike fear into the hearts of any law enforcement officer they encountered.

One of the more rugged men, sporting a prominent scar across his face, caught Alexander's gaze. With a knowing smile, he remarked, "So you figured it out, huh?" He then revealed their past lives as highway robbers and even pirates. Their story took a darker turn when he explained how they had made a grave mistake by challenging their boss. In her boundless mercy, she had given them a stark choice: either die or work for her. The seven of them ended up choosing to work under her guidance. The man added that only two others had successfully completed her healer training, and he hoped Alexander would fare better than those previous students. Another man, who wore an eyepatch over his left eye, chimed in, hinting that while the others hadn't died during their training, there were moments when they might have wished they had. Listening to these seasoned men recount their past experiences, Alexander began to reflect on his own life. He felt a growing appreciation for his parents, realizing just how kind and nurturing they had been in raising him.

The next morning signaled the official beginning of his training. As he opened his eyes to the new day, he was given specific instructions to don what was referred to as his workout clothes. The moment he put them on, he felt a peculiar heaviness. The fabric seemed to cling to him, almost as if it had been made from some extraordinary material that weighed down each limb, making him feel as if he were carrying an immense load. With no regard for his comfort or limits, he was ordered to run without stopping for the entire day.

Initially, the first few hours of running felt manageable. There was a certain thrill in the air, perhaps even a sense of enjoyment as adrenaline coursed through his veins. However, as time passed, the reality of the situation began to settle in. His body screamed out in protest, fatigue taking hold as he pushed himself further. Remembering the lessons taught by Hiro, he focused on his healing ability, trying to mend his aching muscles while maintaining a steady pace. As he continued, a single word began to escape his lips, repeated like a mantra. "Sana," he intoned over and over, drawing strength from its significance, letting it serve as a reminder of his purpose.

Despite the relentless pain coursing through him, he continued to push forward. The seven men running alongside him, feeling playful, started to tease him mercilessly. They laughed and joked, taunting him with the idea that the last person to finish the run would be left out of dinner. Frustration flared within Alexander, and he shot back, calling them sons of bitches and expressing his annoyance that they hadn't mentioned this rule earlier. One of the men chuckled in response, saying, "What would be the fun in doing something like that?" Their teasing only fueled the fire of determination within him. He was not just running to survive; he was determined to prove himself worthy in the eyes of these strong men.

As the hours went on, Alexander began to quicken his pace. He was pushing his body to its limits, using his healing magic to repair the wear and tear as he went, propelling himself forward with an intensity that surprised the seven men. They watched in disbelief as he started to pull ahead, his rapid speed leaving them behind. The powers he inherited from his grandfathers were giving him an advantage, allowing him to grow stronger even when things felt overwhelmingly tough. Thanks to his training as a gamer, he maintained a calm, collected demeanor, keeping his focus sharp as he raced onward.

After two grueling weeks of intensive training, Alexander finally earned a short break. During this time, his girlfriend came to visit and check on his progress. She was someone he knew very well. The seven men living with Alexander were taken aback by the stunning beauty of the girl who had come to see their youngest member, the trainee of their boss. It was instantly obvious to them that she was genuinely interested in Alexander and cared deeply for him. Some of the men felt a twinge of jealousy as they watched her interact with him. Without a moment's hesitation, she lifted his shirt to examine his abs and muscles. Upon seeing the results of his hard work, she blushed, softly muttering to herself, clearly impressed. It was evident that she saw him as quite the eye candy if not a hunk, and this revelation left a significant impression on the group of men who were used to seeing Alexander in an entirely different light.

"Willow, please don't do that without even asking me first. It's embarrassing," he said, trying to keep his tone light. "I've just been doing basic physical training all day, every day. It's not nearly as interesting as the intense training you're involved in, so just relax. I promise I am safe."

Willow settled down beside him, her expression shifting to one of concern. She looked deeply into his eyes and asked softly, "Are you truly alright?" Alexander was participating in the camp run by the nightmare healer, a place known for its grueling training routines that many believed were more challenging than enduring a prison sentence filled with hard labor.

Seeing Willow's worry made Alexander chuckle a bit. "You know," he said, "there was a time when I hated the training my grandfather put me through. It felt impossible and exhausting. But now, after just two weeks here, I've realized that all that tough training was for a reason. Someone prepared me for this, and I can see how important it was."

He paused for a moment, then continued, "Without that training from my grandfather, I would have struggled much more with this program. The skills he taught me, especially the ones about healing myself quickly and effectively, have been a lifeline. They let me push my limits way beyond what I thought was possible. So really, I'm grateful for everything I went through before this. It made me who I am today, and it's helping me face the challenges here."

As he continued to speak, Willow's face transformed from a look of worry to one of deep understanding. She slowly nodded her head, fully grasping that the experiences he had gone through in the past were influencing where he was headed now. For Alexander, this acknowledgment brought a wave of relief. He felt comforted by the warmth of her presence, knowing that she was there to lend an ear and offer her unwavering support. Without hesitating, Willow leaned in and kissed Alexander, a gesture that caught the attention of several nearby men. Their cheeks turned a shade of pink as they witnessed the sweet moment, filled with unexpected feelings of shyness. Willow whispered in Alexander's ear, expressing her pride in him as her boyfriend. This declaration ignited a spark within her, motivating her to match the effort he was putting into his training. "You are not leaving me in the dust buster," she declared with determination. "I'm going to train just as hard as you do, and I will show you that there is no one better to have by your side than ME."

Some of the men struggled to contain their laughter at Willow's boldness, finding it amusing that the attractive teenager seemed to be proposing a sort of commitment to him in the middle of their base camp. It was clear to them that she wasn't joking at all, and this only added to the lighthearted atmosphere surrounding the camp.

The next phase of Alexander's training took him completely by surprise. He was instructed to remove his exercise uniform and put on a basic work uniform instead. Following this change, he was told to accompany Rose. She led him to a hill that offered a breathtaking view of the forest adjacent to their base camp. From this vantage point, he could see the sprawling greenery and towering trees stretching far into the distance. Rose's voice cut through the tranquility as she explained the task ahead. "You will be going into that forest and you cannot return until you have successfully killed a great grizzly bear," she said with a serious tone. "Only when you accomplish this will you be allowed to come back to camp and complete your training. It's a matter of success or death. This is not a fun little camping trip, so take this challenge seriously. You're going ALONE." The weight of her words hung heavily in the air, emphasizing the gravity of what lay ahead for Alexander.

He had envisioned a peaceful walk into the forest, but the reality was far from what he expected. Instead of a gentle stroll, Rose picked him up with surprising ease, as if he were just a simple leaf floating in the breeze. With a playful flick of her wrist, she sent him soaring, much like one would skip a stone across the surface of a calm lake. As he soared through the air and landed headfirst in the thick underbrush of the forest, a loud scream escaped his lips. He called Rose a crazy psycho bitch in a mix of fear and frustration, which only made her blush with amusement. Smirking, she replied that not even his attempts at flattery would convince her to let him off this part of the training.

As she turned to walk back to the camp, she didn't leave him completely alone. Rose sent someone she trusted, a reliable companion, to keep an eye on Alexander and report back to her about his progress. All the while, he found himself stripped of basic necessities; there was no food, water, or medicine provided for him. The objective was clear: he had to hunt and kill a massive grizzly bear, an animal powerful enough to take down and devour an entire squad of highly trained soldiers. Alexander could only describe this part of his training experience as completely messed up.

While he wandered through the forest, looking for a safe spot to rest, he stumbled upon a rabbit. The small creature tried to appear cute, but it was clear that it was in pain, a big mark across its body showing that it had been attacked by something large, likely a claw from a predatory animal. Alexander looked closely at the wounded bunny, feeling a swell of compassion for the creature.

Deciding he couldn't just leave it to suffer, he resolved to heal the rabbit. Before doing so, he activated his observe skill to gain more information. As he studied the details provided by the skill, he realized it was no coincidence that he had encountered this rabbit. The information revealed that the bunny was Rose's pet. Understanding this, he recognized that the rabbit had survived under her care, which meant it was accustomed to the dangers of the forest and was likely safer than he was. He thought to himself, in this forest, he might be the most vulnerable creature, while the little bunny was likely more protected than he initially believed.

It didn't take long for him to locate the cave where the grizzly bear family resided. The moment he arrived, something unusual caught his attention. There, surrounded by the protective presence of the adult bears, was an adorable baby cub, full of life and curiosity. His mission was clear: he was supposed to kill one of the adult bears. Yet, as he observed the joyful little cub playing, he felt a deep pang of guilt. Deep down, he understood that harming the parents of such a cute and happy-looking cub would be a terrible act.

After wrestling with his feelings, he decided to return to the place where he had been resting. He climbed high into the branches of a large tree, carefully creating a small resting spot for himself. He thought that sleeping above ground level would offer him a measure of safety from any animals that might try to surprise him in the night. As he settled in, preparing for sleep, he grappled with the reality that he still had to fulfill his grim task of killing one of the grizzly bears. Despite his reluctance, he reminded himself that he could not let his feelings interfere with his training; he had been trained to protect the entire human race, and that required making tough decisions.

However, when he returned to check on the cave, he quickly discovered that his worries had been unnecessary. The scene that greeted him was shocking. Both adult bears lay lifeless on the ground, and the signs of their demise were unmistakable. The fang marks and the way they had been killed indicated that a creature much larger than the grizzly bears had attacked them — a large snake, possibly even bigger than he had expected. The only survivor of this brutal attack was the baby cub, but it was heavily injured and suffering from poison.

Without wasting any time, he sprang into action. Using his healing skills, he focused on the cub, doing everything he could to alleviate its suffering. As he worked, a sense of responsibility washed over him. While he could not bring back the parents of the cub, he realized he could avenge their deaths by hunting down the snake that had caused this tragedy. This act would not only honor the fallen bears but also hopefully bring some comfort to the little cub. He knew what he needed to do, and he hoped this would be enough to please Rose, his mentor, who expected him to rise to the challenge.

As Xander stood there, his eyes locked onto the enormous snake, he was struck by disbelief. This massive creature was somehow using its own scales to climb the tree, coiling its powerful body around the trunk as if it were a mere vine. Driven by a surge of adrenaline, Xander lunged forward, seizing the snake by its tail with a grip that felt surprisingly strong for a boy his age. "You ain't getting away, you bastard! Get over here!" he shouted, his voice echoing in the woods.

At that moment, the snake thought to itself that there was no way a kid, not even an adult, could yank it off the tree. In a mocking display, it let out a sound that Xander recognized as a snicker, a high-pitched noise that dripped with disdain. Anger surged through Xander; he was not about to let this creature insult him and get away with it. Channeling every ounce of strength he had, he dismissed any thought of mercy, yanking the snake off the tree with such force that the entire trunk creaked and fell along with it, crashing down and pinning the snake to the ground beneath the weight of the wood.

With the snake firmly trapped below the fallen tree, Xander's anger boiled over. "You killed my friend's parents! You dared to insult me and thought I wasn't even worth the effort to kill!" he yelled, his voice rising in intensity. "Well, I have a question for you, punk: do you feel lucky? Did I show you my max strength, or am I still holding back? Do you feel lucky, do you?" The snake, realizing the gravity of its mistake, felt a chill of fear. Memories raced through its mind—how it had ambushed the bears in the woods. It reflected on its pride, believing itself to be mightier than this child, and now that pride was leading to its downfall.

Without any further hesitation, Xander summoned all his strength and launched a powerful uppercut aimed directly at the snake that threatened him. The sheer force behind his strike was incredible, causing the creature's lower jaw to become lodged painfully against its upper jaw. For a brief moment, the snake was left dazed and unable to react, its eyes wide with shock. Recognizing the chance he had been given, Xander swiftly grabbed the snake by its neck, holding it firmly to ensure it could not escape. In one smooth motion, he reached into his inventory and pulled out a gleaming sword. With a determined swing, he brought the blade down sharply, severing the snake's head clean off in an instant. The suddenness of the action left an eerie silence in the air, where one could hear only the soft rustling of leaves around him and the far-off calls of birds echoing through the trees, creating a stark contrast to the battle that had just unfolded.

Turning to the bear cub, Xander spoke with a sense of finality. "Hope this makes you feel better. Your parents' killer has been punished. I wish I could bring them back—I truly do. But I don't have the skills of a priest or a druid. Maybe I can ask my mom to come here and help revive them." Although sadness lingered in the cub's eyes, a small smile appeared, signaling that he understood and clung to the hope of seeing his parents again.

Not long after, Rose arrived on the scene and froze at the sight of a large pile of snakeskin next to Xander, who was busy roasting strips of the snake's flesh over an open fire. He had cut the meat into long pieces and skewered them, preparing a meal that represented both victory and survival.

Meanwhile, Jessica, Xander's mother, received a mental message from her son. Almost instinctively, she made her way to the resting place of the two massive grizzly bears. With barely any effort, she revived them, waiting patiently for Xander to finish cooking the snake meat. As she approached, she chuckled, glancing at the two grizzlies, and observing their confused expressions. "My son killed the snake that took both of you from your cub, and he's cooking the thing as a meal to share with you, your little one, and himself," she explained. "Don't worry, your infant is safe; nothing bad has happened to him."

Hearing this, the mother bear felt a wave of relief wash over her, and her heart swelled with joy as she watched her cub finally reunite with them. Rose appeared alongside them, her expression serious yet proud. "I wanted you to face an impossible foe, to understand that sometimes it's okay to give up and run away. But instead, you killed it. I guess this means your training with me is over."

As she began to walk away, Xander felt something tugging at his back. He turned to find the bear cub clinging to him, not wanting to let go. This heartfelt moment caused both mothers to exchange knowing smiles, a silent acknowledgment of the bond that had developed through their shared trials and triumphs.

Out of nowhere a portal opens and Hiro walks out of it greeting Xander who still was being hugged from the back by the baby giant grizzly, "So you got a pet much like Rose did, well this makes things a lot more interesting, here I got you a present." He handed him a small box which was made to look like an actual present with a ribbon on it, Xander cautiously opened the box to find only one book in it, the title reads Silent Spell Casting for idiots. He immediately sees a quest open saying that he has five days to learn the basics of casting without having to speak the words, failure to accept the quest is equal to failure of the quest, and punishment is the death of the entire world. Xander looked at his grandfather and asked him why was this so important, Hiro told him that in the future it was seen that an enemy would rip out his tongue to prevent him from using magic, and this caused the enemy to win, to prevent that silent casting was deemed necessary so an extra five days of training by Rose and Jessica was deemed necessary by the watcher council.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a shimmering portal appeared, and Hiro stepped through it. He looked over to Xander, who was still caught in a warm embrace from a baby giant grizzly bear, making the scene both amusing and charming. "Looks like you found yourself a pet, just like Rose did," Hiro remarked playfully, a hint of excitement in his voice. "This certainly makes things a lot more interesting around here." He then reached into his pocket and pulled out a small box that was carefully wrapped to resemble a genuine present, complete with a shiny ribbon on top.

Hiro handed the box to Xander, who took it with a mix of curiosity and caution. As he carefully peeled off the ribbon and opened the box, he was surprised to find a single book inside. The title on the cover read, "Silent Spell Casting for Idiots." Just as Xander began to process this unusual gift, a quest notification appeared before him, glowing brightly. It stated that he had just five days to learn the fundamentals of casting spells without uttering any words. The stakes were incredibly high; if he failed to accept this quest, it would count as a failure of the quest itself, which would result in a dire consequence: the destruction of the entire world.

Feeling overwhelmed, Xander turned to his grandfather and asked, "Why is this so important, Grandpa Hiro? What's the big deal about silent casting?" Hiro's expression turned serious as he explained that, according to visions of the future, there would come a time when an enemy would tear out Xander's tongue to stop him from using magic. This cruel act would give the enemy the upper hand and lead to their victory. To counter this potential disaster, mastering silent spell casting had become crucial. Hiro noted that the Watcher Council had decided that to ensure Xander's safety, an additional five days of training with Rose and Jessica was mandatory. This training was not just a precaution; it was a necessary step to prepare Xander for the challenges that lay ahead.
