Kenji was once again waiting for one of his girlfriends, it was the third day of the holidays, today he would be taking the sometimes mistaken for emotionless girlfriend of his, Yukino on a date, with her snow white hair and sky blue eyes Yukino was a real looker, a cool beauty so to speak, she rarely ever emoted but when she did it was one of the most beautiful things to witness in the whole world.

Kenji himself shivered with joy when she smiled at him and her laugh was a sweet melodic thing that stirred his and many other people's hearts when they heard it, Kenji was dressed warmly, there was suddenly a cold front which gave Kenji the perfect idea.

Just like with the first of the dates Kenji heard the door open and turned around to be met with a stunning sight, Yukino was dressed in light blue shorts and a white crop top, obviously unaffected by the cold, what kind of Yukki Onna would she be if she wasn't?

"I didn't make you wait long, did I Kenji-Kun? had to be sure I dressed cool enough not to overheat."

Yukino said in that gentle and considering tone of voice she was known for by those around her.

"Nah not at all, I was up early for the others too, you'd of course know that from our sleeping pile."

Kenji said knowing since he slept in the middle they all woke up when he stood up from the mattress.

"Oh of course, silly me, how could I forget about the cuddle pile we have set up like the one at the hostel?"

Yukino said jokingly, playing coy to show that cool sense of humour of hers that Kenji knows way too well.

"Well let's get to the bus so that we're not late for it, if we walk now we'll get to it quicker."

Kenji said not wanting to wait for a later bus to take them to their destination later, on they went.

Before they started walking Kenji, the gentleman that he is proffered his arm for Yukino to hold onto and she did just that by taking a hold of it and they started chatting further.

10 minutes later

They were now on the bus that would take them to their destination, they chatted all of half way to their destination with silence after, getting closer Kenji started shivering, then had an idea, use Phoenix fire to warm up, he made sure to only warm up from inside as to not overheat Yukino who was leaning her head on his shoulder.

Half an hour later

"Wow, cold, that said, will it bother you if I warm up my skin with my Phoenix fire, Yukino?"

Kenji asked as he shivered, turns out raising his core temperature didn't help that much here.

"Try making it only warm to you, but cool to me, like it has a warm inner layer but a cool outer layer."

Yukino said, the very brilliant idea she just told Kenji having popped up in her mind, she is very very smart.

"You're a genius Yukino! Okay I will try it, I'll have to get creative but what am I if not creative?"

Kenji said as he started concentrating and visualising a warm inner but cool outer flame.

Kenji instantly felt warmer, as Yukino saw the fire around Kenji that looked warm inside and visually cooler outside, she poked his face and felt the outer coolness.

"As it's much cooler with the cold front over fifteen miles nobody else is at the ski resort this works out."

Yukino said to Kenji knowing nobody will be bothered by Kenji's visible fire he has around his body.

"Indeed my dear Yukino, anyway let's get our skiis and get to the first part of our icy date."

Kenji said to his cool beauty of a girlfriend knowing she's excited to teach him how to ski.

They went and got their skis from the ski shed which was always open in case someone who is lost there needs to ski down to the nearby town, the owners always resupplied new skis just in case, in a minute the two were geared up and on top of a slope.

"Alrighty then Kenji-Kun, to ski properly you'll want to distribute your weight evenly going down."

Yukino instructed Kenji wisely having learned that at a class ski trip she had back in primary school.

"Okay let's go Yukino, I'm ready as I'll ever be but please grab onto me if I start slipping up, will you?"

Kenji said semi confidently still knowing he might mess up as it's his first time skiing.

With a forward lean off they went, Kenji stumbled a few times but Yukino was always there to steady him whenever it happened so Kenji was in good hands, soon they were down, after a few goes they went to put everything away, after Yukino told Kenji it was time to try his hand at Melt fishing, it actually went well for another first.

"Well then Yukino, I think we should spend the night here and leave early tomorrow morning."

Kenji said not wanting to so quickly leave the place he learned two new skills at from his cool girlfriend.

"Okay I have an idea, I'll make us an igloo with my powers, then we can spend the night in it."

Yukino told Kenji and so she did, they also cooked the Melt with Kenji's powers and ate them.

"I know you're often mistaken for emotionless but I know you love me and I love you Yukino.

Kenji said not needing Yukino to say it, he wanted her to know she didn't, tho he knew she would anyway.

"You know me too well, but I know you know I'll say it anyway, but I do indeed love you too Kenji-Kun."

Yukino said affirming her love for Kenji, they kissed each other's warm lips affectionately.
