Bloom of Universe 7
Whis watches on as his two current students spar.
The Angel Attendant always found joy in teaching. It was the best way to keep his lord in shape between his naps. Goku and Vegeta have a lot of potential, but they are far from the same level of Destroyer Gods. There is only one other that comes even close to Lord Beerus even though she doesn't come close to him either.
Speaking of? Whis' staff flashes with a beep. "Hmm?" he checks it and sees that someone is about to reach the planet. The attendant smiles.
Just as Goku and Vegeta were closing in on one another, they are suddenly greeted by a redhead girl appearing right between them and the two were unable to stop.
An explosive force of dirt and debrief spreads from right where the three were standing.
Once it clears up, the saiyans blink a couple times as the two stared dumbfounded at a teenage girl who has caught their fists, mid punch. The redhead has attire similar to what Lord Beerus wears with an added blue top underneath the sash.
"Woah!" she at the two. "I heard that Whis had taken on some students, but you guys are this strong in such a short amount of time. You must be really talented."
The only thing that Goku and Vegeta could do at that moment was continue blinking. Here they were coming at one another in full force and here's this girl who caught their attack without breaking a sweat.
"Bloom!" Whis calls out as he hovers over to the two.
"Whis!" she rushes towards the Angel and hugs him.
"This is such a delightful surprise!" he smiles at her as he accepts the embrace. "Not that it matters since I can teach you everything you need to know myself, but shouldn't you be in school right now," he backs away and notices the girl's sadden expression. Whis turns to the Saiyans. "Goku, Vegeta. Would you mind continuing your match over there?" he points in the opposite direction of Beerus' palace. "I need to have a word with my daughter."
That catches the two off guard. "D-daughter!?"
But instead of getting an answer, the angel and redhead were a good distance away in a blink of an eye.
"Now then, darling," Whis turns back to Bloom. "What troubles you?"
The teenager looks away and rubs her arm. "I met this boy, and I realized that I felt things that I didn't know that I could feel."
"Ahh! Young love. It is such a magical thing. But I don't see how this is a problem, dear?"
Bloom's eyes narrowed. "It turns out that as we were dating, he was already engaged to someone else. I was practically the side piece."
Whis is no stranger to someone powerful vibrating in rage. "And how does that make you feel?"
"I feel insulted, hurt, and embarrassed," Orange ki gathers in her hand. "And that for once I actually wanted to act on a Destroyer's instinct and…" she throws her hand to the side and releases the pent-up energy blast that forms into a dragon the races off into the distance.
Feeling the immense power, Goku and Vegeta turns to the source and sees the dragon heading towards them, shattering the ground below it. They managed to hop out of the way and then watches on as the dragon rises into the sky and once it reaches a distance where it could barely be seen, a massive explosion is then visible that lit up the sky.
"And did you?"
Bloom takes a deep breath and replies. "No! You taught me better than that."
"I did not teach you to keep your emotions bottled up."
"You did not," she regains her composure. "Where I got my temper from Lord Beerus, patience was one of the many things you gave me," that causes the attendant to smile. "I needed a place to think clearly, and I could not do that in the Magical Dimension. So, I came home. I was also hoping that Lord Beerus would be willing to give me a lesson."
"I hate to disappoint," Beerus approaches them still in his pajamas, cleaning out his ear. "But I am in no mood to teach you. I may have agreed to take you in as a protégé but told you that it would be on my time and no one else's."
At that, Bloom bows. "Apologies Lord Beerus. I was just wishful thinking."
The Destroyer God yawns. "Yeah, yeah."
Suddenly, Goku lands in the middle of them. "Wow! You're so strong!" There's a twinkle in his eyes. "Want to spar with us?"
The redhead blinks before smiling. "Sure! I came here to relieve some stress. What better way?" she then turns to the other Saiyan. "How about you? I could use a challenge. I don't get much of that. So, the both of you should do."
Vegeta sneers. "Are you saying that I, the Prince of Saiyans, alone don't stand a chance against a mere child?"
"Uh, yeah?"
The three then fly away from the God of Destruction and his attendant.
Once they were sure that they could not be heard, Whis turns to his Lord. "What became of our other guests? The ones that Bloom called the Trix?"
"What do you think? Those three woke me from my nap. So, I annihilated them."
"And is that the only reason, my Lord?" the angel had a knowing smirk.
"What other reason do I need?" Beerus turns away, not willing to admit anything. "Now, Whis. Tell me the name of the one who broke my niece's heart,"
Whis continues smiling as he brings his scepter forward and looks into the orb.
.oOo.
Sky has no idea what to think when his father was so eager for him to return home so soon after the incident during the Day of the Royals.
The Prince then sighs as he remembers the look on Bloom's face when it was revealed that he had been lying to her this entire time. He should have told her a long time ago.
Before he put anymore thought to it, he enters the dining hall and is met by the sight of father personally delivering some meals to what he could only describe as a tall cat man.
"I-is it to your liking, Lord Beerus?" the King asks as beads of sweat drips from his head.
Beerus uses a napkin to wipe his mouth. "It doesn't really hold a candle to what Earth has to offer," The King seemed worried about the statement. "However! It is quite delicious none the less. The King lets out a sigh of relief but becomes worried about what is next said. "It has at least bought you some time. Now the fate of your world resides in the hands of your son."
"Dad?" Sky approaches them. "What's going on?" he then freezes as Beerus turns his gaze onto him.
Beerus stands and approaches the boy. "You must be Sky, Prince of Eraklyon?" he offers a handshake. One that Sky hesitantly accepts but his hand is squeezed to just moments before anything breaks. "Also, the one who broke my favorite niece's heart."
"N-niece?" the Prince struggles to free his hand before looking the stranger up and down and remembers where he's seen the same clothing that the cat man is wearing. "Bloom?"
"That's right," the God of Destruction finally let's go and then returns to his seat to finish the meal.
"Apologies," a blue man carrying a scepter hovers over to Sky. "Lord Beerus has quit the temper. Even more so when someone he cares about is involved. Not that he'd admit it. I'm Whis," he offers his own hand. One that Sky doesn't really accept. "Don't be shy. I won't bite," Whis chuckles and the Prince finally accepts and receives a gentler handshake. "I'm the one who raised Bloom."
Sky's eyes widen. "So, you're her dad?"
"In a matter of speaking. I was the one who initially found her as a baby during one of Lord Beerus' naps," he holds his scepter up and the orb above it flashes and several pictures of Bloom at different stages of her life appears. One of the most noticeable is what appears to be a six-year-old Bloom sitting on the shoulders of an annoyed Beerus.
"Whis!" Beerus calls out. "Enough of fawning about the girl. Let's get down to the reason why we're here," he turns to the Prince. "Before I decide whether or not to destroy your pathetic planet, you have about five minutes to tell me exactly what happened between you and my niece."
.oOo.
After an explanation that went over the given time limit and Beerus sits then leaning on his arm in thought.
"An arranged marriage, huh?" the god turns his gaze to the King. "Is this true?"
"Y-yes, Lord Beerus. We thought it be beneficial for both families if we were to be united."
"Oh, really? Tell me, your highness. Have you ever thought about where your kid stands on this matter?"
"Of course, I have. Sky a agrees with me," the king turns to his son and sees the hesitation in his eyes. "Sky? Why haven't you said anything?"
"You haven't exactly made it easy. Whenever I bring up my engagement to Diaspro, everyone gets excited about the wedding you stop listening to me. And as for Bloom?" Sky turns to the Destruction God and the Angel Attendant. "I never meant to hurt her. I even tried telling her the truth, but I wasn't able to before the Day of the Royals started. I know that if I was just upfront about everything then the incident could have been avoided and that perhaps I should have stood up for her because the misunderstanding is my fault. I'm sorry."
There was no reaction from the god.
"Lord Beerus," Whis turns to him. "I do believe the boy is telling the truth."
"Oh, don't say?" he mocks. "All right. I've made my decision," and stands out of his seat.
"Lord Beerus," the King gets on his knees. "I beg of you! Please do not destroy Eraklyon again!"
Sky's eyes widen as he turns to his father. "Again!?" and then back to Beerus.
"It was only once. And Besides, Whis fixed it," the god explains. "But the fate of your world is no longer in my hands. Nor is it in yours," he glares. "It's in Bloom's. If she forgives you then your little planet will be spared from my wrath. But no one is to tell her of the stakes if she doesn't forgive. Otherwise…" he glances at the frightened King. "There will be no fixing it."
Beerus and Whis then make their way out of the palace.
"My Lord," the Attendant speaks up. "Why bother making such an offer? Bloom may be temperamental at times but tends to be a very forgiving person. She'd even forgive your brother if he'd killed her."
The God then eyes Whis. "And whose fault is that I wonder? Besides. The kid needed to learn that he shouldn't toy with a young lady's heart. So, I put the fear of god in him. Now then," he looks up. "Where is this Diaspro's homeworld"
Whis checks his staff before pointing. "It would be in that direction, Sire."
"And is there anything in the way?"
"Not for at least two minutes."
"Well then," Beerus lifts a finger and starts gathering energy. "One last thing."
"Lord Beerus! If I may? This realm is beyond Lord Zeno's reach. Who knows what disturbance to the Magical Dimension's natural order would bring. Perhaps nothing would happen? Nor something terrible could be unleashed."
After a few moments, Beerus sets his arm down. "Time's up. Seems I've missed my opportunity," he starts walking away and sighs. "I suppose we should use some Dragon Balls to bring back those witches to restore this realms order. What kind of God of Destruction have I become?"
Whis only smiles as he stands next to his Lord and the two vanish from the realm.
