60. Dressrosa

Loudly, the seagulls squawk, swiftly flapping their wings as rolls of newspaper freely fall down upon the island inhabitants below baffled by the news delivered.

"Don Quixote Doflamingo...Withdraws from...the Seven Warlords"! Withdraws from the Seven Warlords"? What's going on?" The old man peering over the shoulder of another elderly gentleman demands.

"How do I know? Don't ask me!" The elderly man holding the newspaper huffs.

"Dressrosa is finished!" Another on a different island responds to the news with a fair few people around him, some men, some women some even children clinging to their parental figure fearful of the changing tides.

"All tall waves were originally...little waves, barely worthy of notice."

"So you pulled it off Law…heh I wonder if this is parental pride?" The young woman with wave locks of both blonde and pink beams brightly by the news, grinning giddily.

"Hey! What's gonna happen to the arms deal between Don Quixote family and us?!" Meanwhile in a different island as rain roars pouring down, a stressed solider begins to fret.

"Ring, ring, ring... Ring, ring, ring.- The snail continues to ring.

"I've been trying to reach them but nobody picks up!" The scared solider admits as the snail continues ringing.

"What should we do?!" One of the soldiers' frets as a skeletal skull resides by his feet.

"I-I can't believe this! We will lose the war without arms!" Anxious, the soldiers rush off clinging to the arms they had left, explosions erupting all over as a crying child clings to the doll in her arms as the rain continues pouring…

"Hey, listen to this! Those reckless rookies from two years ago formed an alliance!" One of the Bonney pirates point out as their captain casually munches on a slice of pizza, snow freely falling as she wears her hood, reading the paper.

"I'm sure they're up to something! Doflamingo resigned from the Warlords!" Elsewhere on another island someone else says as Jinbe reads the paper.

"Why did he do that?! Isn't there anymore information?! Alright! Get more information!" Incensed, a pirate commands his underlings as a familiar golden hooked male silently reads the paper.

"How did they find out about our alliance?! Who is this freelance writer named Absa?! He gets scoops very often these days!" One of the kid pirates frets to Kid and Killer.

"I don't care about us. I'm more concerned about the other news. Straw Hat and Trafalgar! I'm sure they're looking to take out one of the Four Emperors like we are. Which one is their target?!" Kid growls slamming his metallic fist to the ground glaring glowering at the thought of them going after a certain Yonko crew…

"The Colosseum is always packed. Thanks to you, Diamante." Doflamingo smirks, his fingertips twitching as he looks out of the window towards Dressrosa.

"What are you saying? Doffy, that's because you're a charismatic king." The man perched upon the diamond throne tells Doflamingo.

"No. That's because you're strong." Doflamingo insists to the man shrouded in shadows.

"Stop. You make it sound like I'm the hero of the Colosseum." Diamante chuckles coyly.

"You are the hero of the Colosseum." Doflamingo tells Diamante.

"Stop saying that." Diamante laughs.

"Okay, I stop." Doflamingo does just that.

"Alright, I admit it if you insist! Yes, I am the hero of the Colosseum!" Diamante declares dramatically.

"I brought it! Doffy, it's that thing!" Some slime soon forms into Trebol.

"You're too close!" Disgusted, Doflamingo growls glaring at the man with a snot dangling down his nose.

"Too close but?" Trebol begins but…

"Sit down." Doflamingo takes the chest from Trebol.

"If Straw Hat Luffy finds out about this, I'm sure he will try to get hold of it. An alliance can sometimes prove a hindrance. Diamante. I want to entrust this to you." Doflamingo offers the chest to him.

"Wait a second, Doffy! I can't take it." Diamante refuses but…

"No, I want to entrust this to you." Doflamingo insists.

"Stop. You make it sound like I'm some kind of genius." Diamante declines.

"I can only entrust this to a genius like you." Doflamingo tells Diamante.

"Stop saying that." Diamante snaps.

"Okay, I stop." Doflamingo does.

"Alright, I admit that I'm a genius if you insist! Yes! I can take care of that dumb-ass Straw Hat!" Diamante snatches said chest from him.

"I'll be counting on you! I know he will jump at it! The source of his late brother's power. The Flare-Flare Fruit. I'm sure he wouldn't want anybody else to have it!" Doflamingo tells Diamante.

"Doffy as great as an idea as this is aren't you cared of triggering the wrath of a certain woman…" Trebol points out, a still silence of coldness hitting the air. Dread hitting them all.

"I'll deal with her if she intervenes but I doubt she will. She's too busy hiding away from the navy." Doflamingo assures as he grins.

"So, reporting Doflamingo's resignation from the Seven Warlords and revealing it was a false report…was it all by the order of those above you people? Why does the world have to be thrown into confusion…for someone like Doflamingo?! If something like this ever happens again it'll bring shame on me as fleet admiral! Don't ever do that again on any account!" Angrily, Akainu angrily glares at the Gorosei seated before the fuming Akainu.

"Don't give us any of your cheek Sakazuki." Saturn sternly scolds Sakazuki.

"Your honor is completely inconsequential." Warcury adds annoyed at Akainu.

"The navy is the only public face of the Government!" Nusjuro slams his sheathed blade to the floor.

"We left this case entirely up to Cipher Pol." Peter adds.

"Hmph Cipher poll huh? To put it simply you people also have been walked over by the Celestial dragon's puppets haven't you?" Agitated, Akainu summarises snippily.

"Watch your mouth Sakazuki! This is serious!" Saturn commands cross.

"…Cipher Poll had mentioned spotting Hibiscus." Peter brings up, Akainu's' eyes expanding at the name.

"Hibiscus…" Akainu growls, teeth clenched down swiftly snuffing out the cigar in his mouth breaking it in half.

"Indeed…no doubt she masterminded this." Saturn calmly confirms.

"Red Hair is meant to keep her under control!" Warcury scowls sharply.

"…Perhaps he can only do so much to keep that woman's wrath tempered." Nusjuro's grip tightens tenses around his blade bitterly.

"We don't even have any evidence to pinpoint her to the crime." Peter tuts tiredly.

"…I'll go." Akainu steps forward.

"Hm?" The Gorosei raise a brow at him.

"Hibiscus is my responsibility as fleet admiral I will finish what my predecessor should have ended long ago!" Angrily, Akainu swears, plums of black pouring out of his side seething snarling.

"…Are you sane?" Saturn snaps sharply at him.

"What?" Akainu growls molten magma dripping down the floor, making a hole below.

"We cannot afford to take such risks with her there." Nusjuro sternly states scowling down at the mess below.

"I could end her!" He growls glaring.

"Or she could end the marines right there." Peter cooly brings up.

"What?" Akainu angrily snarls seethes.

"If you were to go you would go too far, the marines image is already in tatters we don't need you destroying the island to add to that." Nusjuro tells Akainu.

"Not to mention the possibility of where would the marines be without a fleet admiral? The image of the marines has already been torn to pieces by that woman, you coming to Dressrosa would be what she needs to put the final nail in the coffin." Saturn sternly states to Sakazuki, his eye twitching tense, blood boiling bubbling burning, his gloved fist of beginning to glow, magma slightly peering out, a still silence between the men.

"It would seem she has once again outplayed us…" Peter concedes cooly angering the men, molten magma seeping out of Akainu, a still silence of tension hanging heavily in the air when…

"What about Kuzan? I can't believe a very power man like him sides with Blackbeard now! That's a dishonour to the Navy for sure!" Warcury brings up, Akain's eyes expanding at the name.

"That idiot resigned from the navy! Where he is and what he's doing are none of our concern!" Akainu angrily snarls when…

"Five elders Fleet Admiral Sakazuki! I'm here to report, Hibiscus Ann has been reported to be on the move on Dressrosa!" A marine meekly rushes in terrified.

"What?" The Gorosei growl.

"The hell is she planning now?" Angrily, Akainu grabs the scared solider by the collar.

"W-W-We don't know b-but you said it was priority to tell you of her movements!" Meekly, the scared marine sobs as Akainu angrily throws the soldier down seething.

"That woman…what is she planning now?" Nusjuro tuts tiredly placing his fingertip to his throbbing tense temple.

"It's like she's taunting us!" Warcury fumes furious from the photo sent by Cipher Poll of the woman winking at the camera pointed at her, not even the slightest bit apologetic at being caught, almost knowing they had no evidence to pin the cause of this whole mess on her.

"Hibiscus!" Akainu angrily growls, glaring molten magma seeping out of him scaring the marine the Gorosei however don't even bat an eye to it, swiftly ordering someone to clean up after the red dog.

"Ann I said I'm fine." The shy whine of Sabo's voice rings in Ann's amused ears as she sits by his side silently brushing the dust of the top hat in her hands before handing it over to him.

"Got to look good out there don't you think?" Teasingly, she winks at the blushing blonde before perking up at the feedback of the snail.

"Ladies, gentlemen and toys! Have we got a major event for you today! A truly special occasion! For this day the king has granted us…a priceless gem! Two years ago at the Great War at Marineford…a man lost his life!" The announcer proclaims proudly catching the attention of Ann as she remains shrouded in the shadows with the blonde boy by her side. She looks around noting the boy garbed in gold with a fake moustache making her smirk slightly at the sight.

"Huh? You don't mean…" One of those in the crowd wonder.

"He was the second commander of the legendary Whitebeard pirates, the son of the Pirate King and little brother of Hibiscus Ann! Ace!" The announcer reveals said flame flame fruit to the cheering colosseum crowd.

"What!? Ace!?" Another anxious pair of viewers gasp.

"They say his fists of flames could pierce warships…or burn cities to the ground and turn them into a living hell! This formidable power has returned to the world reborn in the form of a new Devil Fruit!" The announcer continues on as a young girl with braided pink hair stands by Luffy's side.

"R-Reborn!? Seriously!?" The crowd wonder in awe at the thought.

"Behold! This forbidden fruit will be given to the victor of today's battle! One of the Logia devil frits the strongest of the three varieties!" The announcer proclaims proudly as Ann eyes Burgess on the snail snippily scowling at his back.

"No way…"

"That's…"

"The mera mera no me!"

"Amazing!"

The crowd in awe exclaims amazed as Ann smirks slightly looking towards the boy with the moustache and armour looking determined, ready to end it as just then…

"Zeehaha by that logic Shiryu is no different! But I don't trust Aokiji! Huh? Oh hold on captain Straw Hat's here" Luffy perks up at Burgess's words while he talks to the snail looking like Blackbeard.

"Oh you're there too? Straw Hat?" Said snail with the black beard is turned towards Luffy.

"…You!" Luffy glares at said snail.

"That's right it's been a while hasn't it? So I understand your participating in the tournament Lucy? But my man Burgess is going to win the Mera Mera fruit! It's almost like Ace is joining my crew it's going to be great! I mean he refused the offer last time after all! Zehahaha!" Blackbeard bellows cackling at the thought.

"You're the last person I'd let have Ace's power!" Luffy snaps seething looking ready to snap right there when…

"Luffy!" A hand clasps firmly on his hand.

"Eh? Ann!" Astonished, Luffy gawks gapes up at the sight of her.

"…Hey boss you'd never guess who's here too! Hibiscus!" Burgess smirks slightly at the sight of said snail.

"Hibiscus…" The smirking snail turns to Ann.

"…Thatch…" Ann cooly coldly glares down at said snail.

"How are you?" He asks her.

"Could be better I mean you and your scummy infection of a crew could be six feet under but hey there's still time…" Ann's grip tightens tenses around Luffy's shoulder sneering snippily down at Thatch.

"Hahah you're as cold as ever Ann-chan!" Cheerily, said snail smiles at the aggravated Ann.

"Haha and you're as delusional as ever if you think I'd let your scummy hands on my brother's fruit." Amused, Ann smirks suavely down at said snail.

"…Heheh…you know a certain member of my crew's been looking for you." The snail adds as Jesus grins noting the sickly sweet smile of Ann, fingertips digging deep into Luffy's side. Lost, Luffy looks between both the smiling strained Ann and grinning Blackbeard and Burgess befuddled by the air turning ice cold, the tight tension between the three when…

"…Yes don't suppose you could give him a message for me?" Ann asks astonishing Luffy.

"Oh and what would that be?" The snail asks amused almost at the request.

"Stop following me like some nagging mite and die." Ann growls glaring down at the snail poison pouring out of her tense tired tone.

"Hahah so cold Ann-Chan you really haven't changed since we were kids. You're as ruthless as ever!" The snail bursts out laughing making Ann roll her eyes exasperated.

"Just tell him to stop following me it's annoying." Ann turns taking Luffy with her back turned to the pair.

"Alright for old time's sake I'll do it." The snail agrees astonishing Luffy to see the grinning pair before being taken away by Ann. Luffy lost looks up at Ann, his brow furrowed not quite sure what kind of expression Ann was making. He hums quirking his head to the side, there were so many emotions within said swirling sherry reds, there was anger but sadness too…Luffy couldn't place a word for the swirling sherry simply staring ahead.

"Hey Ann…" Luffy calls out brow furrowed trying to ask what that was about when Ann stops him.

"Now that we're alone…" Ann stops befuddling Luffy.

"Hm?" Luffy hums quirking his head to the side when…

"Look at you! Have you grown taller?" Ann immediately starts fussing over Luffy, happily hugging the boy.

"Annn…" Luffy whines furrowing his brow at her.

"I'm sorry you're just so cute say what's with the beard?" Ann couldn't help but ask amused.

"It's my disguise no wait my name is Lucy not Luffy." Luffy corrects himself.

"Suuure…" Ann smirks shyly covering her mouth with her hand trying to muffle said snicker.

"What the hell? How dare ou speak to Luffy senpai like that!" A man with a green mohawk rushes over to the two.

"Uh…" Ann blinks befuddled by the man glaring at her.

"Oi leave Ann alone." Luffy cuts in.

"L-Luffy senpai!?" Stunned, the green haired man takes a step back.

"Ann is Ann be nice to her." Luffy orders astonishing Ann.

"Luff it's…" Ann smiles shyly, trying to tell him it was fine but…

"Forgive me my apologies!" The green haired man bows before Ann astonishing her before turning to the man cloaked in shadows.

"Uh right anyway Luff I have someone here who'd like to see you." Ann coughs composing herself.

"Eh?" Luffy turns to her befuddled.

"You cam come out now." Ann turns to the shadows.

"I won't let you have the mera mera fruit Straw Hat Luffy." The blonde boy steps out of the shadows.

"The hell!? How dare you speak to Luffy senpai like that!" The green haired boy barks at Sabo however…

"Luffy does this guy look familiar?" Gently, Ann asks Luffy smiling softly down at her.

"Hmm…" Luffy makes a face frowning at Sabo staring intently at him.

"It's me Luffy." Sabo takes his hat off.

"Huh? It's me? What are you talking about!? Listen the Mera Mera fruit is the embodiment of Ace you're gonna have to fight me for it! And don't you see the beard!? I'm not Luffy it's Lucy!" He corrects stretching his beard but…

"Luffy…" Ann softly hints however…

"Lucy and how can you give this nobody Ace's fruit Ann!?" Angrily, Luffy corrects cross.

"Well for one you've already got your fruit and I doubt your crew need any more anchors, one devil fruit user is enough of an anchor as it is." Frankly, Ann deadpans.

"I'm not an anchor!" Luffy whines.

"Just trust me on this Luff, this guy is no stranger." Smiling, Ann assures him.

"Yeah c'mon there's no way I wouldn't recognise my own little brother disguised or not." Sabo smiles.

"Little brother? The only person that could call me that was Ace and…." Luffy begins but falters taking a few fair steps back.

"And…?" Amused, Ann leans over bemused by the boy hitting the pillar behind him.

"…A-And…SABO!?" Stunned, Luffy's voice cracks at the blonde boy before him.

"…And the penny drops…" Ann smiles.

"N….No way! I don't believe you!" Luffy wails whimpers.

"Luffy…" Gently, Ann softens sadly at him however…

"Don't tell me you've forgotten that we stole Dadan's sake to exchange…" Sabo brings up as tears begin to form in Luffy's eyes.

"…May want to brace yourself." Ann advises.

"Hm?" Sabo blinks befuddled before a pair of rubber arms wrap around him.

"SAAAABOOOO!" Luffy throws himself at Sabo suddenly bracing for the projectile that is Luffy to hug him.

"Oof!" Sabo stumbles back barely able to gain his bearings from said projectile that is Luffy.

"Told ya…" Amused, Ann smirks.

"What the…where have you been all this time!? I thought you were dead!" Luffy sobs his heart out tears and snot falling onto the scarred Sabo as baffled Bartolomeo watches on with a smiling Ann.

"Thank you Luffy I'm glad that you're alive." Sabo smiles.

"But Sabo I, I let Ace get killed in front of me!" Luffy blames.

"Luffy…" Ann softens sadly at Luffy.

"I know even though Ace died… I'm…so happy that you survived I almost helplessly lost both of my brothers if you had also died I would've been left on my own!" Sabo smiles at Luffy unfazed by the tears and snot falling on him.

"WAAAH ANN!" Luffy sobbing turns to Ann holding her hugging her.

"It's okay Luff it's okay…" Ann pats the back of the boy now having pounced on her as she holds him up, letting the tears freely fall from the boy.

"Thank you, thank you for being alive Luffy!" Sabo smiles at Luffy.

"Luffy…I believe Sabo to be the perfect candidate for the mera mera. Don't you think Ace would want the same?" Ann asks as she looks up at the boy still holding her sniffling softly now.

"Uh huh, that'd be nice." Luffy plops his head down on her head nuzzling into the top of her head.

"Good cause that's the only option we've got!" Ann smiles setting said boy down as Sabo takes Luffy's place and Luffy leaves having much to do…

"What is going on here!?"

"What's happening to me!?"

"I'm back to normal!"

Doflamingo gawks gapes at the numerous snails setting off, his people answering one after another getting the same response as the toys of Dressrosa return to people, some pirates, some marines, some civilianss crying relieved to be back to their human body while others sob at the world they return to. Doflamingo finally grabs one of the wailing snails scowling while those that were toys some animals even wreck havoc upon Dressrosa.

"S-Sugar has...I'm sorry, Doffy!" Trebol on the other side of the phone screams.

"You're too loud, Trebol! What happened to Sugar?" Sternly, Doflamingo demands from Trebol.

"P... P...Passed out! She has passed out!" Trebol answers anguished.

"What? What happened? Sugar has passed out?! Hey... Is this some kind of joke?!" Doflamingo demands but…

"The servants that we've been collecting for a decade are turning back into humans!" Another of his men rush in to report as Doflamingo seethes, sweat sliding down his tense temple, veins protruding out of his temple watching his kingdom crumble…

Ann smirks sadistically smugly watching each and every toy revert back to their human forms, watching elephants rampage, marines armed, and ready rush around lost to it all while trying to deal with the pirates causing chaos amongst Dressrosa. Ann quietly watches a man and woman rush back into each other's arms tearful, bright bold beams of light floating up above as Ann couldn't help but watch them head straight to the sky.

"…I hope you're watching Rosi…" Ann couldn't help her smug smile towards the small sparks of light glowing in the sky when watching the kingdom crumble, watching all the teeny tiny threads unravel…

"The spell of the Hobby-Hobby Fruit is being removed! The Tontattas' operation must've been pulled off!" Viola by Luffy's side smiles as Kyros returns back to his original form amazed.

"See? I told you Usopp would take care of it!" Luffy smiles as they try to find Law.

"What's the matter, Onepoko? Hey Mom, Onepoko is acting strange!" A young boy playing with his toy dog notes the dog beginning to glow. Ann stops silently noting a son and mother beginning to watch their family dog change, curiosity getting the best of her.

"What?! Onepoko!" The mother soon gasps at the man forming before them.

"One...poko? One...poko? One...No! My darling!" The tearful mother rushes back into her husband's arms happy he's back.

"I-I've turned back!" The father gasps.

"Honey!" The woman wails hugging him, he hugs her back. Ann watches on frowning from the strange sensation in her constricted chest at the sight.

D-Dad! You're not Onepoko!" The boy gasps.

"Yes, I'm your dad!" He tells the young boy.

"Dad! Why have we forgotten about you all this time?!" The young boy hugs his father.

That's how the spell worked! I thought I was gonna live as a toy forever!" The father tells his son.

"Hey Dad! Can you lift me up high?!" The young boy asks

"Alright! There you go!" He does so, the family of three smiling happy to be back together. Ann couldn't help but watch on, a brief flash of her a certain freckled face boy being lifted up by a certain someone with her smiling by his side briefly appearing before her however…

"Mom watch out!" Ann seemingly snaps out of the thought, shaking her head. She then notes a rampaging elephant about to rush over the family, the marines try to hold it back but not even they can stop the beast. Ann simply sighs as with simple kick; the elephant goes down. Ann takes out her pipe, spewing smoke into the open air as the family of three gawk gap at the woman going on her merry way while watching the kingdom crumble, a grim grave look appearing upon her face, firmly focused on the task at hand.

"Ring, ring, ring... Ring, ring, ring.-Palace, please answer!" The snails begs before the stressed Doflamingo.

"We keep getting emergency reports!" Baby Five exclaims with Buffalo.

"This is an emergency call from Sevio in the south! The toys working at the port suddenly turned into pirates!" Another of the snails reports.

"Ring, ring, ring... Ring, ring, ring.-This is Carta in the east! The toys turned into old Dressrosa soldiers! They turned into gov't officials!" Another adds.

"Navy soldiers and senior officials from abroad!" Another snail soon speaks up.

"Huh? Who are you?!" The man running from the elephant spots the man running with his son in his arms.

"I'm Onepoko, the dog you've been pushing around!" The father furiously glares at one of Doflamingo's workers.

"What?! You are?!" The worker gasps before being punched in the face.

"How dare you boss me around…" A pirate slashes at one of the workers in the port.

"...Like I was your slave!" A woman grabs hold of one of the workers shaking them.

"I can forgive everyone else but you!" A man in a sleek suit strikes at one of the workers.

"Palace! Send some backup ASAP! The pirates are out of...Argh!" Buffalo's eyes expand at the sharp scream coming from the snail he holds swiftly hanging up.

Happily, Ann smiles spinning about the place as if she were dancing to the beat of the people's screams, shouts, screeches of anarchy of pain of vengeance…

"It's not enough yet! Guys! Beat the hell out of Doflamingo's men!" Soldiers who were once toys raise their spears as soon enough civilianss grab hold of any weapon they could find raising it to the high heavens as well.

Happily, Ann smiles spinning about the place as if she were dancing to the beat of the people's screams, shouts, screeches of anarchy of pain of vengeance, grinning giddily at the ensued chaos, no one batting an eye to it, no marine, no CP agents no one as she makes her way over to a certain group of people, a young girl, a fishman stands by her side with a load of weapons by their side.

"…I take Dragon will be pleased with the trade." Ann shoves her hands into her pockets pleased by the sight of the weapons being taken by the revolutionaries.

"Indeed. He's grateful for your aid all of us are for this boon you've granted us. Still I'm surprised you knew so much…" Hack, the fishmen nods his head grateful.

"I have my ways. Still I'm just grateful for Dragon looking after Sabo after all these years." Ann admits.

"The revolutionaries will not forget this." Koala promises.

"I'm sure still Sabo sure knows how to pick 'em." Ann winks at Koala.

"E-Eh?" Koala blushes brightly by her words.

"Seriously you're adorable." Amused, Ann continues teasing.

"I…I…" Koala couldn't help the blush cross her features.

"Ah sorry sorry just teasing is all, take care of Sabo for me though, he's the sort to bottle stuff up and do stupid stuff on his own. But then again you guys probably know that…still continue taking care of him won't you?" She smiles softly at the two.

"R-Right!" Koala blushes briefly by her words nodding.

"Sabo should be getting that fruit by now. Here I doubt he'll want to continue wearing that get up of his. You'll find his clothes in locker 40." Ann tells Koala.

"R-Right thank you!" Koala nods watching Ann leave.

"Esta!" A man lovingly holds the hand of a woman.

"Wait…I have a boyfriend!" The lovestruck woman gasps.

"Huh?!" The man blinks befuddled before gasping when…

"You cheated on me!" A woman pulls out a knife to a man with his date.

"I'm sorry! I forgot about you!" The man argues anguished.

"I was forgotten for a decade! I hate Doflamingo!" The woman wails as she is held back.

"Take down Doflamingo!" Another angry man screams drawing his blade.

"We were fooled by Doflamingo!" Another angry voice screams shouts as Ann's sickening sweet smile simply widens when hearing their hatred, their anger, their rage, feasting on it almost as she spins in the streets of chaos, of anarchy, of fury.

"What are you talking about? He's a good king." A woman speaks up from the arena.

"You just don't know who he really is! He's... a devil!" The man by her side sobs saddened.

"Kill Doflamingo!"

"Come on out, Doflamingo!"

"Rosi…I hope you're smiling old friend." Ann drops down, smirking smugly at the glaring glowering warlord watching his country crumble while she heads off to check on Sabo…

"What?! Who is he?!" Luffy in awe gushes over the man with one leg rushing towards

"Brother Kyros! Even I lost my memories of him!" Violet says shocked.

"The toys were originally humans but they were erased from our memories! Since the Devil Fruit eater Sugar passed out now, we got our memories back! He's the former commander of the King Riku Army - Kyros! The strongest gladiator in the history of the Colosseum!" Violet explains to Luffy.

"Yes, that's him! And he's also...Rebecca's biological father!" Violet reveals.

"I don't know if you were influenced by the other "D." or not, but you coming to challenge me yourself is something that's written in stone, too! That's why I forgive you! Like I forgave my biological father and brother...I'll forgive you with your own death! Executions should be done by nothing other than lead bullets. What's the matter? I thought you wanted to pull the trigger." Doflamingo takes out a familiar pistol ready to end Law right there when Luffy shoots up, the double destroyed and Luffy ready to end things.

"You knew! That Cora- san wasn't gonna pull the trigger! I could pull it." Law seethes.

"I bet so. You're the same as me." Doflamingo recalls Law's words when he was but a child grenade strapped to his chest…

"Yeah, whatever you say. But on that day...you were the one who was supposed to die!" Law snarls.

He was an incompetent man. When I killed him that day, it was a great load off my mind." Doflamingo admits, grinning as sparks shoot out from Law's hand.

"Not even the edge of the town is safe!" Those frightened flee. Ann however remains unfazed by the birdcage drawing closer and closer simply scanning the crowd, she had to find him, leaving such a wild card of the Blackbeard pirates in this scheme was something she could not risk after all…

Fierce flames surround the people of Dressrosa, a mother and her child cling to one another terrified of the fierce flames drawing nearer and nearer as they try to hide form the rampaging chaos. The two cough accepting their fate as debris falls until someone appears from the fire as if flames themselves.

"You're okay now." Sabo assures as next they knew…

"Here drink this." Ann hands them some water outside the building.

"Thank you so much." The woman smiles, she and her child taking their respective cup of water.

"They somebody help my friends are suck in the Colosseum!" Someone calls out.

"Ann…" Sabo turns to Ann, the message made clear.

"Go." Ann orders as Sabo nods.

"Take me there. There are trapped prisoners right?" Sabo stands turning to the warrior.

"Y-Yeah this way!" He leads the way for Sabo helping with evacuees.

"Hey! Stay with me! Tra-guy!" Luffy rushes over to Law's wounded form.

"Oh, Straw Hat- ya ...You don't have to worry about me. More importantly, how's Doflamingo...?" Law couldn't help but ask as Doffy surprisingly stands.

"That's our king!" Trebol beams brightly by the sight of him.

"H-How is it possible?" Pained, Law demands shocked seeing his fingertips fidget around hs stomach.

"If I have enough time, I can apply first aid to myself. Inside my body now, strings are repairing my inner organs." Doflamingo explains as strings suture up his wounds.

"What?!" Law gasps.

"How smartly you can use your ability is important. It's a bit different from recovery, though. Thank you for your suicide attack." Amused, Doflamingo smirks smugly at the two.

"What?!" Luffy gawks at the slime swiftly snatching him slamming him into a nearby wall.

"Damn!" Law curses cross as the foot is swiftly slammed down however his heel is swiftly caught by a certain sandal…

Ann makes her way through the chaos of the battlefield on Pica, perhaps he was here, he no doubt wanted to get straw hat's fruit…this room no doubt had tons of opportunities to get powerful devil fruits after all…least that's how Ann saw it. Still she soon stops when spotting a horned boy beneath her feet…Dellinger…she recognises as she spots a fair few other bodies littered about the place…

"Hm?" Ann furrows her brow by the sound of slashing curiosity getting the best of her when…

"Ann…" Robin recognises relieved.

"Oi Cabbage mind telling me what you want from Robin?" Ann calls out to him.

"I could have…" Ann admits as she takes the two up the next stage setting them down on the flower field spotting Rebeca and Kyros fighting against Diamante.

"But…" Cavendish frowns at her.

"Straw Hat-ya... He can use it…just as she said…Law couldn't help but think to himself.

"That boy is the key to beating Doflamingo…trust me on this." Ann's words echo throughout his head as present day Ann looks up towards the palace smirking smugly grinning gddily at the sight of haki colliding…all these pieces she set up and now it was all coming together, Ann couldn't help the wave of smugness hitting her, all was going according to plan…if this didn't make Luffy's haki bloom nothing will…

"Doffy's different! He's of a totally different calibre! His birth nurtured madness in him! His fate fed him anger! And they changed this man into a perfect demon! No less, the ultimate evil! Doffy is...the true king who was chosen by heaven!" Trebol taunts Luffy as Luffy hits Doflamingo time and time again Doflamingo missing some hits however he doesn't miss them all.

"S-Sea stone…I feel…urgh…" Trebol wheezes weakly, Scarlet oozing out of his melting form. His body bare before them all, scarlet stemming down with his mucus falling to the ground.

"Now that's out of the way." Ann calmly goes on her way…

"What?! What happened?! Blood! He got slashed and bled! What?! What the hell is that?! A slim guy came out of the mucus! This is why my punch got through his body!" Luffy realises when the slime slides off Luffy freeing him.

"A gunshot…" Doflamingo takes note of the singular shell lodged into Trebol.

"Damn you, Law.- Trebol oblivious almost to the gunshot seethes snarls at Law.

"What an idiot!" Doflamingo scowls.

"I can't believe you used...your disembodied arm...! How annoying...! When it comes to this... Law... You die with me!" Trebol decides clutching his flaming staff.

"Oh no! He's gonna set fire!" Law gasps.

"I'll take you along! The Royal Palace burst into flames!" Trebol raises his staff however when the fierce flames strike…

"What's going on?! Wh-What happened this time?! Why isn't my slime working…?!" Trebol demands taken aback.

"Luffy! Hey, Viola! What's going on at the Royal Palace?!" Usopp recovered demands from the sidelines.

"One of the executives, Trebol got defeated!" Violet reports.

"Is Luffy okay?!" Usopp worries.

"Doflamingo! Straw Hat! It makes Doflamingo the only one remaining!" Viola reports.

"Luffy! Doflamingo!" Robin spots the falling figures.

"Luffyland!" Leo too by Robin's side.

"Is he all right? We got to back him up somehow!" Kyros reasons.

"Yeah!" Leo nods.

"You'd better not do anything. You might give him trouble to be honest. Look! Even Trafalgar Law who has the same title of warlord as Doflamingo, is…in quite bad shape!" Robin points out to the man in Luffy's arms.

"Luffy! Hand me Tra-guy- kun!" Robin calls out.

"Robin! That'll help! Take him! Tra-guy cornered m1ngo enough already!" Luffy tosses Law over to Robin.

"Oh no! His arm...!" Leo spots his decapitated arm.

"Cien Fleurs! Spider Net!" Robin uses her arms swiftly catching him and his arm holding his blade still.

"Lawland's arm is...How could they do this?! Tra-guy- kun , stay with me!" Robin holds Law in his arms when…

"Nico Robin! Don't do anything unnecessary! He's still breathing. He hasn't been dismissed yet." Doflamingo lunges down.

"Doflamingo!" Robin gasps.

"That jerk! He's still going for Tra-guy!" Luffy heaving curses cross.

"Here's a finisher!" Doffy fires bullets of thread at the pair.

"Gum-Gum...bullet String! Hawk Whip! Damn!" Luffy curses when he manages to hit Doffy but the bullet threads had been fired.

"Tra-guy! Robin!" Luffy screams calling out to his friends helpless to the bullet of strings until they hear the ring of metal, Robin's eyes expanding at the familiar back of the pink haired woman.

"Gee Luffy…hasn't this already been settled with yet?" Amused, Ann hollers deflecting the bullets with ease.

"That voice…" Robin stares stunned at the woman.

"PRINCESS!" Cavendish swoons smiling at the sight of her.

"…Ann…" Law hoarsely calls out.

"Honestly, I promised him I wouldn't involve myself fully but this is just dragging on now…it looks like you could use a hand eh Law?" Amused, Ann jokes.

"Hibicus!" Doflamingo growls glaring at the woman before him tensing up almost at the sheer sight of her.

"What's wrong Doffy? You seem mad…" Haughtily, Hibiscus remarks bemused by the thought.

"You…all of this…it's your fault!" Furious, Doflamingo glares glowers at Ann.

"…You brought this on yourself by fucking with Rosi." Raw, Ann glares glowers at Doflamingo.

"…Tch." Doflamingo lunges at Ann.

"Not to mention having the sheer balls to use my baby brother's fruit you were practically begging me to rip you piece by piece. Tell me how are you enjoying everything you've built being slowly stripped away from you?" Amused, Ann couldn't help but ask noting the veins only bulge further from his tense temple however he soon stops smirking smugly.

"Hibiscus…you know I bumped into a certain someone searching for you." Doflamingo brings up.

"…!" Robin perks up at his words.

"…This again?" Annoyed, Ann however hums bored almost aloof.

"He's quite the stubborn soul isn't he?" Doflamingo remarks.

"Stubborn is one way to put it to that pest." Poisonously, Ann sneers snippily looking at her nails.

"Heheh if he saw you now…I wonder what he'd think…" Doflamingo tries to taunt but…

"And I wonder why you think I give a single shit as to what that tick thinks of me." Ann gives the middle finger to Doflamingo.

"…I always thought you were too good for the marines, a brain like that is far more suited for the pirate life." Doflamingo praises her.

"Flattery will get you nowhere." Ann assures annoyed.

"Oh come now you and I are one in the same, must we fight over me taking some fruit?" Doflamingo chuckles coyly.

"My dead brother's fruit you mean?" Ann sneers snippily.

"…" Doflamingo goes quiet.

"It isn't just that…" Ann tells him.

"Then what is it?" Doflamingo queries.

"What do you think? Rosi was a good person he was your brother and you killed him in cold blood!" Ann angrily yells at him.

"And how are you any better? Where were you when he died?" Doflamingo asks.

"…!" Ann flinches from the question. Robin blinks befuddled by Ann's expression before her features darken briefly by the implication.

"He hoped you would come but you let him down you turned your back on him and he died you practically killed him as he hoped you would come to save him but you didn't you might as well have shot your hand through the boys chest." Doflamingo tells her as Ann bows her head going quiet.

"…Are you done?" Ann breaks the still silence.

"Hm?" Doflamingo frowns from her answer.

"With your attempt at getting in my head?" Ann gently taps the side of her head.

"I'm simply saying we have a lot more in common than you realise." He tells her.

"Oh this should be good…" Ann scoffs smirking suavely.

"You use people. You used Kuzan to keep hidden, having one of the elite members of the marines who many of the marines favour wrapped around your little finger was a smart move, by pleasing him he'd never suspect you to be the child of the pirate king not to mention what you could get away with that lap dog backing you." Doflamingo accuses as Robin's eyes expand when hearing his words when most of all hearing Ann's still silence of a response until…

"…You're annoying." Ann sighs, rubbing the side of her head.

"Not as annoying as he must have been chasing you around after you left, you'd think he'd get the memo but no he lingered, clawing clinging to you like a lost puppy. It's so annoying when toys that have served their purpose don't get the message isn't it?" Doflamingo smirks smugly at her.

"Like I said you're annoying." Ann looks down at her nails.

"And you could end this all right now, the bird cage, the people struggles, their screams and yet you don't you enjoy it don't you? Watching the world that had denied you and your family so much, that had hunted your family, burned even before your eyes, even if it's just a small percentage seeing those that dammed you and your family struggle pleases you!" Doflamingo accuses, everyone's eyes expanding when hearing his words.

"…Like I said…you're annoying…" Ann tells him straight faced.

"Using Rosinante as an excuse to fight me to get Law to work for you as a puppet as an excuse to fight me in your stead, the question is why…and how straw hat is involved, you had them meet didn't you?" Doflamingo catches on.

"…" Ann simply glares down at her nails.

"For what purpose? Why have straw hat fight me when yo could so easily cut me down?" Doflamingo challenges.

"…" Ann remains staring down at her nails.

"What are you planning Hibiscus?" He demands from her, raising his voice however…

"Guess you'll have to wait and see." She simply smirks at him, a glint gleaming in her sadistic sherry shades.

"Those eyes of yours…they remind me so much of my own back then…" Doflamingo couldn't help but compare, grinning.

"Oh really? Well with you wearing those shades all the time I don't quite know how to react to that still my reaction's probably nothing compared to Kaido's reaction to all this." Tauntingly, Ann remarks.

"What?" Veins protrude on Doflamingo's tense temple.

"Oh you think he doesn't know? Trust me I made sure he found out about SMILES about everything." Ann grins giddily at Doflamingo's tense temple, sweat sliding down his furious face.

"You…bitch!" Doflamingo lunges at her however…

"Luffy finish this already!" Ann calls out as she dodges him easily.

"Ann take everyone and get off this plaque, I leave everyone in your hands." Luffy calls out to her, wrapping his arm around Doflamingo dragging him back into the fierce flames of the palace.

"Right. Robin, Law can you stand?" Ann turns to the two.

"I…" Law begins but his legs soon give way.

"Hold on…" Ann catches him.

"You…came…" Law looks up at her.

"We made a deal remember?" She smiles down at him.

"Ann…" Law begins but…

"You did well. Rosi would be proud. Now rest up yeah?" Ann assures as he plops his head down on her shoulder, falling into the dark depths of his dreams in her arms.

"Can you treat him somehow, Leo?!" Robin asks the little person.

"The cut is ragged! If I can manage to sew them together.- Leo begins but…

"Then, I can heal him with my Watering Can!" The little person princess adds.

"Thank you, Princess Mansherry!" Robin thanks the princess.

"In any case, we'd better go down now as Lucy said!" Rebecca speaks up.

"Hey, Bartolomeo! Make stairs with your barrier!" Cavendish call out to the green haired man below.

"Zoro- senpai ! Forever!" Bartolomeo cheers over Zoro's win.

"Are you even listening, you fool!" Cavendish yells at Bartolomeo.

"I don't take orders from strange, dual-natured creeps!" Bartolomeo barks at Cavendish.

"Make stairs for Nico Robin and the others! Hurry up!" Agitated, Ann commands.

"Oh, is it for Robin- senpai ?!" Bartolomeo perks up at the thought happy to do just that as Ann sweatdrops at the people she found herself stuck with.

"That's enough. Straw Hat. Law is suffering because he can't die. It's better to put him out of his misery. If that's what you wanna do, do it after you beat me!" Luffy roars still fighting with Doflamingo.

"Seems like you're quite wasted away already." Doflamingo remarks.

"So are you! I don't think such destructive attacks by Tra-guy would leave you unscathed! Bazooka!" Luffy roars still fighting on.

"You surely move fast but...you're lacking heaviness! Overheat! This brings back memories! Ever since you drove that ill-famed Crocodile to be stripped of the title, I've been keeping an eye on you!" Doflamingo admits to Luffy.

"Crocodile got defeated? By a captain from the Navy Headquarters? You gotta be kidding. There must be a catch. Look! It's got to be him! His bounty jumped up! Find out about this pirate group. I've never heard their name. Monkey... "D."?!" Past Doflamingo orders as they do just that.

And the Paramount war in which you fell from the sky! I can't believe you survived and made it this far!" Doffy remarks as they continue fighting on the flaming battlefield.

"Wait!" Law stirs in Ann's arms.

"You woke up, Trafalgar!" Cavendish gasps.

"Leave me... here!" Law pleads to Ann.

"What are you saying?!" Stunned, Cavendish gasps.

"For the past 13 years... I've been living just to kill Doflamingo! I've done... everything I can! I have to leave the rest to Straw Hat- ya ! If he's gonna win, I wanna see it through with my own eyes here! If he loses, I need to be here and...die along with him!" Law declares determined dramatically.

"Don't be so dramatic. No one likes a hero. Besides if worse comes to worse I will intervene so neither of you will die." Annoyed, Ann huffs dismissing Law.

"I...got him involved in this conflict...I gotta see it through with my own eyes here! Leave me!" Law commands.

"Trafalgar." Cavendish whispers.

"Tra-guy- kun ." Robin stares sadly at him but…

"Would you stop being so dramatic? And stop ignoring me!" Mad, Ann commands cross.

"Dramatic?" Law glares lightly at Ann.

"You heard me! Wait why did you hear only the first part!?" Ann glares down at Law.

"Captains of allied pirate groups have to be on an equal footing. Luffy is here...of his own free will. He doesn't fight if he has no will to." Robin explains to Law.

"Leave me here! I'm begging you!" Law begs Ann but…

"Urgh…I don't think I can talk you out of it...maybe it's a D thing…Nico Robin, you go ahead." Ann orders Robin.

"Ann." Robin's brow furrows at Ann.

"Robin- senpai ! I will help you now! Barrier-bility: Stairs!" Bartolomeo arrives.

"Robin please go make sure the others are okay." Ann requests of her.

"…Alright. Be careful." Robin pleads.

"Princess…!" Cavendish calls out to her.

"Protect Robin." Ann orders.

"As you wish my princess!" Cavendish complies.

"I can't listen to a suicidal wish. I'll stay here, too. You need to come to terms with it. If you're gonna die, it's got to be after me." Ann asserts as she slams her blade into the floor below, the rubble freely falling from the high heaven around the flower field of sunflowers.

"Robin- senpai ! Come down now!" Bartolomeo calls out.

"Robin- san ! Bartolomeo made us stairs!" Rebecca calls out with Kyros by her side.

"Go. You can wear this." Ann removes her coat handing it over to Robin. Robin's eyes expand recalling her bloodied back wound.

"Thank you…Ann." Robin takes the coat smiling softly at her.

"Robiland! We'll stay here, too! We can't leave the wounded Lawland here like that." Leo and the princess reasons, they watch Robin and co leave.

"…Hibiscus…" Law weakly wheezes out.

"You can call me Ann you know?" Ann leans back against the grass staring up at the sky.

"…You were right about him…he really doesn't give up." Law wheezes weakly.

"Yeah he really doesn't. Sorry about the arm I would have come but I can't exactly fight back…" Ann's brow furrows.

"Why not? You're the right hand of a yonko." Law frowns.

"Because I gave my word to someone, I made a bet and I plan to see it through." Truthfully, Ann admits.

"…you know it won't be over…" Law's brow furrows.

"It may not be but at the least it'll shake things up a bit in this boring world don't you think?" Amused, Ann smirks slightly.

"…Is this just a game to you?" Law scowls sharply at Ann.

"…Who knows…? But what I do know is this…Kaido will have quite the reason to go after you lot." Ann chuckles.

"Yeah…I know what'll come after this." Law weakly wheezes out.

"And still you fight on…we D's are something else aren't we?" Ann couldn't help but smirk proudly.

"Why did you do this?" Law couldn't help but wonder.
"Hm? I did nothing I simply brought all the pieces into place for an old friend. Besides we're sort of like family now." Ann reasons.

"How?" Law's brow furrows at Ann.

"Don't be so stingy geez, besides you think D's like us should stick together…? Especially in a cruel world like this…" Ann smiles at Law.

"Cruel boring make up your mind already…" Annoyed, Law complains.

"Can't a world be both?" Ann argues, crossing her legs.

"…Ann." Law's brow furrows at Ann.

"You fought well Law…Cora would be proud." Ann sets her hand on Law's head in her lap, the tears freely falling from him as he covers his face with his hand, a sill silence settles between them both.
