'Thought'
Dopant
On the outskirts of the city, inside a nice mansion, it was decorated with several antiques and paintings along with several data and formulas on paper scattered across the table. But in one room within the household, a lab served as a personal place of study alongside the fancy decorations around it.
Several pieces of information were displayed on the screen in front of the mysterious woman; photos of Hibiki, Tsubasa, Kanade (with an 'X' across her picture), and finally the white rider. More photos of the white warrior were scattered across the screen, along with data. From his fighting prowess to his ability to harm the Noise and more.
The woman observed the footage of the Rider's fights against the so-called 'Dopants.'
"Just who are you?" The woman muttered, watching the current feed of him and the new Gungnir relic user on the screen. She wanted more information without getting involved yet. However, at this rate, she'll be as blind as the others which irritated her. The White Rider was an enigma who now had her attention that needed to be taken care of. An idea came to mind and smirked, "I believe I need your talent for this mission, little one."
The one she spoke to was none other than Chris Yukine who stood behind her the entire time.
"I need you to test him and see how capable he truly is. Don't kill him or Hibiki Tachibana." The woman ordered. "Bring them to me."
"Alright." Chris obeyed. Her mistress isn't one to be disappointed. She can't fail the task she was given.
Kamen Rider Eternal: Song of Eternity
Chapter 6: End the Questions
It has been two weeks since the encounter with the Dummy Dopant and for Enrique to wonder just what truly was the truth and what were the lies. It bothered him every time he looked back on that day. He felt conflicted, to say the least. Was he fighting to get the T2 Gaia Memories or was he fighting for vengeance? He just doesn't know and it frustrated him.
"Something wrong, Enrique-san?"
The American glanced to his right, noticing Hibiki with a puzzled look. The two were hanging out at the mall for today since they didn't have school. The girl insisted on it since they had nothing much to do. Thus, the reason for the two hanging out together. It wasn't a date whatsoever, just leisure between friends.
"I-It's nothing to worry about, Hibiki."
The girl tilted her head and asked, "You sure? I could help."
"It is nothing okay?" He said again but almost with a firm voice. "I… I just need to think is all."
"Alright…." Hibiki nodded softly, worried about him. She assumed it involved a certain person he faced two weeks ago. "... was it about with that Skull guy…?" Hibiki winced when she noticed the can in Enrique's grip was crushed. That alone made it evident of what bothered him.
Taking a deep breath, the American looked away. "Just don't ask anymore…"
"S-Sorry…. Just wanted to help make my friend smile…" she lowered her head.
"I know you want to help, Hibiki but this is something I have to find out on my own…"
"Hai..." Hibiki nodded slightly. As the two walked more, the young Japanese fiddled with her fingers. "A-Ano..."
Enrique glanced at her. "Hm?"
"Thank you…"
"For what?"
"Protecting me against that Skull guy when he tried to do that big blast…"
The raven-haired teen remembered when he defended Hibiki and took the hit instead of her. He was doing what was needed… and he didn't want more people to die to those like the Noise, the Dopants… the enemy. He didn't want to repeat the same mistake - to cower and watch others die.
"I told you before, I didn't want to see another die in front of me." He replied.
"I know, but the Symphogear does protect me. I would've been fine." She reassured.
He stopped, his hands gripping against his palms. "It isn't…"
"Eh?"
Turning around to look at her, the caramel eyed girl saw him with a small frown. "It isn't fine, Hibiki. It may do that but it can't keep you alive forever. You could die no matter the enemy! They can kill you before you can try! They…" he gritted his teeth upon his defeat. He hated the fact he lost against a Dopant. Was it because of how weak he felt or was it from the taunting words the Dopant left him with? "They can question you of what you do…" Even if Shroud assured him that he isn't a tool, the back of his mind still had that feeling, wondering if that imposter was right.
"Enrique…" She muttered before nodding, "Okay. Sorry…"
Rubbing his temples to ease the headache, he calmed himself down. "I know you want to help people Hibiki. You can save people… but you can't save them all…"
"But I can still do my best." She said, holding her fist up high with a bright smile.
To see her smile, he couldn't help but envy her positive mood. Hibiki really was a special individual; one who stays positive no matter how dark the world gets.
His phone rang, making him check to see who it was. At first, he thought it was Shroud but it was Tsubasa. He was rather confused. Ever since Tsubasa found out he was Eternal, she hasn't called him since but now she has.
Deciding to answer, Enrique answered, "Tsubasa?"
"Hey…" he heard her voice. "Are you around?"
"I am with Hibiki, why you ask?"
"Is it possible to talk to you…. alone?"
"Uh… alright…?" He accepted. "Where exactly?"
"The park."
"Alright, I'll meet you there," Enrique responded before ending the call. Hibiki wondered what happened as Enrique looked at her. "I am heading to the park. You can go on ahead, Hibiki."
"You sure?"
Her friend poked her forehead and replied, "I'm sure."
The user of Gungnir smiled softly and nodded as she finished her smoothie before she hugged him and made her way deeper into the mall, leaving him for today.
Making it to the park, Enrique looked around in search of Tsubasa. The weather was calm as people were walking about. Looking left and right, there was no sight of her. A tap on his shoulder made him glance over his shoulder to see her. The bluenette was wearing a sunhat to conceal her identity to others due to her status as an idol. Facing her, he waved slightly, "Hey Tsubasa."
"Hey…." Tsubasa acknowledged softly, but her face showed it all. She was unsure about him since he kept a secret. The entire time he was the white rider and never told her. Yes, it bothered her to discover he was fighting but deep down she wondered if his newfound power was what made him strong.
Rubbing the back of his neck, Enrique took a deep breath. "You want answers, don't you?"
"An explanation."
"Figures…" He and Tsubasa walked on the pathway. "Look, I am sorry I couldn't tell you guys. It was… difficult."
Tsubasa's eyebrows furrowed, a frown forming and said, "Difficult? You mean you had reasons that you couldn't say it."
"What was I supposed to say? 'Hey I am the White Rider, it is nice to meet you'" he drawled with sarcasm but also slight irritation. "It wasn't easy and this was something I promised my mom."
"We would've accepted you." She said, "I understand not wanting to trust others… but for me? Hibiki? We're your friends…. Or… was that a lie too?"
"It wasn't a lie, Tsubasa. Not a chance in hell it is a lie." Enrique rubbed his shoulder. "You two were the first people to consider me their friend. That I was thankful and glad to hear. But for my mom… she would rather put a bullet into those she doesn't trust. She nearly shot you guys in case you haven't recalled and how she showed up in your base."
"Commander is still curious about how she was able to without sound any alarm." Tsubasa chortled slightly, "Still…. I know if you told me, I would've kept it secret from everyone…. I couldn't betray your trust after everything Kanade left with you and how much you grew from us… It's like betraying a brother…."
"Yeah and let Section 2 try to make me stay with them?" He crossed his arms.
"It isn't like that, Enrique."
"Well, they wanted me to fight Noise. Yes, I can fight them but I have to focus on the devices that people use." He looked at the sky. "If anything… I… rather stay with my mother…"
"But why?"
"Because… she saved me," He confessed. "During that incident two years ago, she saved me from the remaining Noise. She raised me, took care of me… she did so much to help me. I owe her everything."
"Enrique…." Tsubasa said softly, "If anything… Section 2 would do their best to make sure the government never use you, or even dare to try anything, that includes the other countries."
Her friend huffed, "My mom is very secretive. She was the reason why you guys couldn't learn anything new."
Tsubasa realized what Genjuro often had his deflated moments. Shroud was the reason why they couldn't find any records about Enrique. She was keeping everything about her son and herself hidden. Was his mother paranoid or wanted to live off the radar in order to send Enrique to fight the monsters?
"I… see…" she looked at him. "There is one more thing I wanted to ask."
"Ask away."
"Just… how were you capable of that power?"
Enrique stopped mid-step before looking back at her. The expression he wore was confusion and a dumbfounded look. "W-What?" The high schooler managed to say. "Why are you even asking me that?"
"I'm... just curious is all…" Tsubasa said softly, "Curious if you never wanted this power and if you wanted more out of life than just being a sword…"
The raven-haired teen stared at her for a moment, his breathing soft and his mind wondering if he really wanted more in life… but what if… he had none? What if the only thing he had left was Shroud and the meaning of vengeance?
"Personally…" He licked his lips to calm himself. "I don't even know what I am really fighting for. Is it vengeance? Peace? Eliminating the Noise? Collecting the other devices? Or simply a way for me to lash out to the world… I don't know where my place is as of now. All I wanted was to get revenge on the Noise for what they took from me two years ago."
Tsubasa understood this dilemma, knowing full well what it's like to not truly know someone's potential in this world. "People can be monsters… they can be devils. So… I simply had to show the enemy I am one, all from vengeance."
"But even so, you have a chance for a better life, one that isn't drenched in blood and anger." Tsubasa stated, "and while it may be clouded, you may find what you're looking for soon."
"I hope so," he sighed. "But when is the question and how." He walked ahead, prompting Tsubasa to take notice of him walking away. "I hope that you will understand why I am doing this. But if anything…" he looked over his shoulder to make eye contact with her. "Don't let others see a monster that we humans can become." With his words, he walked away as Tsubasa watched, his small speech absorbing into her mind.
Was he truly right? Are all people monsters? Devils? It is true that everyone has their dark side, but to lash out? It reminded her how she acted towards Hibiki. But... even with that, Hibiki was still bright and positive regardless of what happened. She easily forgave Tsubasa after everything.
With Enrique, he continued to walk in bitter silence. He truly doesn't know what his purpose was. Retribution against the Noise was the only reason why he is still going. The reason why he is with Shroud. With his newfound power, he can fight the Noise for what they did but also recovering the Gaia Memories for his adoptive mother.
The high schooler turned his head, noticing a news report and while he couldn't hear it, the footage showed it all. The fake skull was back and attacking, the worst part was that it was at the mall, the same place where Hibiki was at. The teen gripped his hands tightly in anger upon seeing the fake Skull. He still remembered how he first lost to the imposter. The taunting words of the bastard still fresh in his mind. He knew what he had to do.
He will finish the fight.
Even if it kills him.
Within the mall, Hibiki was helping a few people get out of the mall safely, in her Symphogear armor as she easily destroyed rubble and fallen debris. She couldn't understand why this was happening as she got another group of people to safety. It was all peaceful until the explosion was the first thing that gave way to the growing trouble in the popular building. Trying to find out the cause of the attack, Hibiki first assumed it was terrorism. "I gotta see if there's any others in danger…" she murmured in concern as she rushed back into the mall, but after a few laps, gunshots went out, striking the ground in front of her. The Lydian Academy student turned to the shooter responsible for the attack. It was Fake Skull. "You! Why are you doing this?!"
"Because it is what I do," Skull replied.
"What you do? You're hurting people!" Hibiki accused. "You're nothing but a bully!"
Skull merely pointed his gun at her. "Tell me where is Eternal."
"As if I'll tell you!" Hibiki answered, jumping at him with a fist primed to strike.
Skull dodged her punch before grabbing the back of her neck and tossed the girl to the wall. "You severely lack fighting experience, little one."
"True…. But at least I can keep trying to defend those you're trying to harm." she countered with determination, jumping at him with another punch, but as soon as he blocked it, she gripped his arm and spun around before kicking his side and sending him into the wall as well. The Fake Skull grunted before aiming at Hibiki. She squeaked before the shot was blocked by none other than Tsubasa.
"Tsubasa-san!" Hibiki beamed.
"I suggest you surrender, villain…. Unless you want to taste my blade with your own two hands." Tsubasa threatened.
"Hmph, you really think you can beat me?" He questioned them. "Eternal couldn't due to doubts and lies."
"Then we will!" Hibiki spoke, getting into a fighting pose as Tsubasa got into a kendo stance.
"Let's test that, shall we?" Fake Skull taunted before he lunged at them.
The two went on the defense as they sing, blocking as he strikes them, but when they became close, he covered their mouths harshly to silence their singing. He knew their song powered them. Silencing their song, he had the advantage to deliver damage to the Symphogear duo.
The fake Rider slammed Hibiki and Tsubasa to the ground and dragged them across the concrete pulling them through it as he continued to run across the interior of the mall, creating more damage before he flung them into a pillar.
"Geh… this guy is strong, Tsubasa-san…" Hibiki groaned, "Any ideas how we can stop him?"
The sword wielder bit her lip in apprehension. They should have been prepared but not against someone who has a power that was almost similar to Eternal. And the fact that they are not facing a Noise but a human being. It made it more difficult. The enemy knew that if they can't sing, they can't use their abilities thus it was a disadvantage.
"You're both distracted…" Skull said, pointing his gun at the two before launching several blasts at the two.
The girls screamed in pain as the hits sent them reeling. Due to their Symphogears, their bodies were reinforced but it didn't mean they were vulnerable as the gunshots felt like they were hit by a car.
The duo struggled as they witnessed Fake Skull place the Skull Memory into the Skull Magnum.
SKULL: MAXIMUM DRIVE!
From the 2nd Division base, Genjuro and the others' eyes widened in fear as they were about to witness Hibiki and Tsubasa become obliterated.
"Time to erase you pests…." Skull chuckled as the energy slowly began to build up. Once he pulled the trigger, the shot went right towards them as the girls closed their eyes in fright. The execution caused a large explosion and a black cloud of debris, Skull waiting to see the results. As the smoke cleared, they… weren't there?!
"Nani?" Skull looked left and right before seeing none other than Eternal who held onto both girls, away from the spot where they could have died.
"En...rique…" Tsubasa got out weakly.
"You're… here." Hibiki added on with a soft smile.
"This is my fight, Hibiki. Tsubasa." Eternal released his hold as they watched him approach Skull with his tactical knife, Eternal Edge.
"So, you finally showed up. I thought you gave u-"
"Shut the hell up you bastard," Eternal cursed. "It doesn't mean anything. Giving up means I stop trying but that ain't happening." He then glared and said, "I am gonna finish what we started."
"Heh, good. Then I'll stomp out your hope and show the world how worthless Riders truly are….." He chuckled, "But we both know that you can't stop me."
"This time, I will." Eternal lurched at Skull, the two beginning their fight as the Skull Rider blocked one of Eternal's attacks with his wrist. However, it gave Eternal the chance to use his other hand to punch the center of the abdomen, delivering a burning attack from his fist.
The fake rider took a few steps back from the hit before grabbing his gun and fired at the White Rider. While Eternal dodged a few, he couldn't dodge the rest as most of the shots came in contact with his armor, sparks bleeding off.
"Grh," Eternal gnashed his teeth to hold back the pain. His body pushing him further as he blocks Skull's punch with his left hand then blocking the other with his other hand. The evil fake mused, seeing Eternal pushing his own body to the limit. Skull pushed Eternal further, his feet slowly dragging across the ground. The struggle against the fake was certainly apparent.
"We gotta do something to help…" Hibiki said, looking at the sword wielder.
"I know… but what can we do against that thing?" Tsubasa questioned. She didn't like it as much as Hibiki but Fake Skull was not a Noise; capable of fighting back the moment he studied their disadvantages.
They saw Eternal being pushed to the wall before the Fake Skull grabbed Eternal's neck, slowly lifting him up. The white rider gasped for air, trying to claw himself free from the man's grasp.
"You honestly believe you can win when all you see are lies and doubt?" Fake Skull said. "These people, these monsters are the reason to how much damage it can cause. Isn't that what those girls over there are, monsters?"
"Don't listen to him, Eternal-san!" Hibiki yelled.
"You have been lied to, filled with doubt," Fake Skull continued as his voice slightly changed. "That Rider was nothing but a man wearing a belt with fancy powers."
Eternal slowly looked down at Fake Skull before he held onto the imposter's wrist and twisted it, earning a grunt. The opportunity arose as the white rider kicked Fake Skull away, the former coughing for air that he lost.
Eternal panted, glaring at the imposter. "You don't know shit about Sokichi…" He growled. "You may think he is nothing but a man with a belt… you are wrong."
"Oh? You think I am wrong?"
"My mother told me Sokichi was a man who was willing to solve the problem. A man who was fighting to protect the civilians of this city. If I learned anything from my mother and her words about Sokichi." His hands balled into fists, glaring at the fake. "That I have to fight!"
"Hmph, then you'll perish as well." Fake Skull scoffed, lifting his gun and firing several blasts at the young Rider. Eternal rolled to the side before darting his head to see Fake Skull placing in his Gaia Memory into the Maximum slot.
SKULL: MAXIMUM DRIVE!
Seeing Skull's finishing attack, Eternal chose to do the same in return and grabbed his Gaia Memory. With the device in hand, he placed it into the Maximum Drive slot. Seeing the ETERNAL Memory locked in place, the Rider quickly tapped the button.
ETERNAL: MAXIMUM DRIVE!
Leaping into the air, Eternal performed his burning kick as their attacks clashed, the purple and red flames colliding, their attacks trying to push back the other. The fire was sending shockwaves of power, nearly propelling the girls away.
The White Rider exerted himself further, the gap slowly growing. His focus on the imposter who took the identity of the man Shroud knew. The flames of the respective Riders were trying to push the others but Eternal began to struggle, the Fake Skull on the verge of victory.
"Heh, you failed boy… You're nothing but a weakling…" Skull chuckled, "Once this is done, I'll test your Memory on these two girls, they look like they can handle a few beatings."
"Eternal-san!" Hibiki called out. "Don't give up! You can win!"
Eternal couldn't face her as he stared at the imposter while their attacks were still pushing each other.
"Hibiki is right! You aren't a monster, you're a hero! A…. A…. A Kamen Rider!" Tsubasa cried out.
Deep down, something welled up to his soul. The feeling of not just determination but… the feeling of courage soaring through him. His friends are there for him. The ones he was happy to meet. His hands balled into fists and his glare hardened at the enemy.
The red flames slowly turned into a blue color, surprising the others.
"Masaka…" Fake Skull gasped.
"ENJOY HELL!" Eternal roared as he finally drove through the attack. The power pierced through the Fake Skull, unleashing an explosion.
The Fake Skull shifted back to its true form, the Dummy Dopant that also exploded and its Gaia Memory falling into Eternal's waiting hand.
"Accel, Bird, Cyclone, and Dummy…" Eternal counted his collection. Now he had a total of five T2 Gaia Memories.
On the ground was the criminal who used it, he was covered in scratches and bruises. The bastard groaned in pain as he slowly got up with a growl. The 'Chameleon' was defeated but he knew he still had a chance and he is going to take it to kill the brat.
"You…" the criminal gritted his teeth. "You think I will let you get away with this!?" The man reached into his pocket and aimed a gun at Eternal.
*BANG*
The criminal suddenly screamed when someone shot his hand. Hibiki, Tsubasa, and Eternal looked to their left to see Shroud, her Bomb Magnum's barrel smoking from the recent shot.
The masked woman ominously approached the criminal who clutched his hand in agony. The bandages hid her enraged glare at the man. "How dare you take the identity of the one I cared about. The one who was my life." She aimed at the criminal, pressing the gun against his forehead. "The punishment for your sin is death."
"Y-You can't be serious lady?" The man got out, trying to put on a brave face, "You know as well as I do that civilians can't kill willy nilly. You'll be no better than me, lady."
Shroud merely stared with disinterest and aimed for his knee, earning a scream after another shot went off. "You're right. I'm not you." She aimed at his forehead once more, the man now in fear. "I am Shroud. Count your sins, bastard."
"Wait!" Hibiki gasped, rushing to the masked woman and gripping the gun, "Please don't!"
"Why are you defending this scum?"
"Just because he's a criminal, doesn't mean he deserves death! Nobody ever should deserve that!" Hibiki shook her head, trying to pry the gun away.
"Like how others killed innocent?" Shroud frowned under her mask. "People are monsters. They are devils. Wolves in sheep's clothing."
"You're wrong!" The Gungnir user refuted, ripping the gun away from Shroud's grip.
"You…" Shroud glared.
"Yes… people can be cruel, can be evil and harm others… But…" she looked up at her with determined eyes, "But that just shows me that we can improve and be better than that! That we can change after everything. We're humans, not monsters."
Shroud stared before she kicked Hibiki to the ground, earning a shocked look from the girl. Grabbing the Bomb Magnum, she turned to Hibiki. "Next time, stay out of this."
With that, Shroud left them earning a sigh of relief from them as Eternal walked over and helped the young girl up and a soft pat from him. "I am sorry…" The young Rider apologized.
"Don't be, it's not your fault." Hibiki smiled softly, "It's very obvious to see that she's mad and just wants to lash out at everything."
"My mom doesn't trust anyone… only those who are her family."
"I know… But I also know that I can get through to her, just like I have with you and Tsubasa-san." she looked at the said idol who slightly huffed and turned away.
They saw the injured criminal crawling away in pain but he felt a boot on his back, slowly looking back to see Eternal. "As much as I want to do what my mom wanted to finish… you will be put where you belong, prison."
"I'll get out…. And once I do, I will kill you…" He growled, only to be picked up by Hibiki.
"We got this, you and Tsubasa-san do need to finish your chat after all." She smiled, before running off to bring him to the authorities before the older teenage duo could react.
Eternal glanced at Tsubasa who shook her head, "That girl…" He heard her say.
"And yet you don't sound too upset about it," Eternal quipped.
Tsubasa had a soft blush before she shook her head, "W-We should leave before the police and the firefighters arrive, this is a dangerous place now." she gestured to the destruction.
"Oh right…" The Rider noticed before the two left the scene to avoid attention from the local law enforcement.
As the sun soon set, the two reached the park as they walked through it, but awkward silence drew them both in as they tried to find something to talk about, but it ended with either silence or short quick replies. They both didn't know what to say or ask as of now, but they didn't want to end today like this either.
"So um…" Enrique trailed off. "How are you and Hibiki getting along?"
Tsubasa crossed her arms before relaxing, "It's been… difficult."
"Huh? You mean you can't get along with her?"
"Yes…" she nods, "I am trying, but all I still get, is this bitterness and anger towards her…."
"You know Hibiki just wants you to trust her." Her friend explained.
"I know…. But it's just hard not to see Kanade all the time and feel remorse over losing her ..."
"Would she want you to be upset?" Enrique frowned. "Tsubasa, don't you remember what I told you almost a month ago?"
The bluenette flinched when he brought that up and nods softly, "Sorry… I'll…. Try to open up more to her…" Tsubasa winced when she felt him jab her forehead.
"'Try' isn't the right word. You have to open up." He corrected as Tsubasa rubbed her forehead.
"S-Sorry…."
The raven-haired teen sighed before placing his hands on the back of his head, "Just take my advice and have faith in Hibiki. All she wants to do is help you and stop the Noise." He said, looking at the sky. "Besides… she is one of the few people to have a positive outlook in this hellhole."
"True…" The bluenette sighed softly. She knew Hibiki was a girl with a positive outlook despite how dark the world can be. For someone two years younger, Hibiki still kept going. Glancing at her friend, she sees him staring at the stars, so focused on a peaceful night. "E-Enrique? I just wanted to-"
An explosion echoed in the perimeter, catching the two off guard. They turn their heads to see fire, and from where they were, a visible image of the attacker. Noise. Several Noise popped up out of nowhere and were causing damage very close to them.
Tsubasa was about to sing her tune but from the corner of her eyes, she noticed Enrique's expression changed. The way he looks at them was like a beast seeing their prey. There was fear for a moment but it was suddenly replaced with anger, his teeth grinding, his hands balled into fists.
"Maybe… you should head home, Enrique? I can handle them."
"No." He said darkly. "You go."
She suddenly remembered how in the armor, he was ruthless towards that Cyclone Dopant and Bird Dopant. Was there something that the armor was doing to her friend? Or was it the device in that belt?
The American grabbed his Lost Driver and slammed it to his waist. Grabbing the Eternal Memory, he placed his other hand on his face.
ETERNAL!
"Henshin!" He slams it into the Lost Driver, slanting the buckle.
ETERNAL!
The tune played as white energy formed around his body until it fully formed the armor. Grabbing Eternal Edge, he lunged into the attack as he began to strike down the Noise mercilessly, venting out his anger and unleashing his lust for vengeance towards the Noise.
"Enrique, wait!" Tsubasa called out, racing after him, only to be stopped by several Noise, causing her to stay put and deal with them.
With Eternal, he eliminated the Noise left and right, both ruthlessly and brutally. The Gaia Memory influencing him to destroy them, to punish them for attacking the innocent. Plunging his fist into the Noise that tried to attack him, he drove the blade into another and ripped it out as it dissolved.
Kill them all… These 'things' took your family from you.
They stole our parents… THEY ALL MUST PAY!
That voice resonated in his head, and it fueled his anger more. The Noise did kill his parents, left him all alone in this world now. The Noise will pay for all of this. They all will pay for taking everything from him! He was going to send them all to Hell! Grabbing the ETERNAL Memory, he placed it into the Drive slot while placing Cyclone into the Eternal Edge.
ETERNAL: MAXIMUM DRIVE!
CYCLONE: MAXIMUM DRIVE!
Green and white energy whirled around his knife before he swiped the blade, unleashing arcs of harsh, burning wind at the Noise, destroying them into ashes.
He panted as he stood on the ashes, wanting to destroy more of the Noise and let them feel his pain and anger. But as he does, he suddenly heard soft clapping, causing him to turn his head, sitting on a car was a very attractive young woman wearing pearl white armor, with whips hanging off of her, spikes on her shoulders, and a visor covering her face while her bust stuck out. Not to mention, she seemed... familiar.
"Not bad, you got here much faster than I thought." The woman said.
Eternal stared, "You look familiar."
"I get that a lot." She shrugged. "Now, Eternal… I suggest you play nice and come with me."
"Are you with that Museum…?" Eternal's grip on the knife tightened.
The mystery girl cocked an eyebrow. "Who the heck is 'Museum?'" She questioned.
The white rider was confused. If she isn't with the Museum, then why is this person wish for him to go with her? Not to mention, she was wearing a Symphogear armor… much like Hibiki's and Tsubasa's own. "Then… who are you working for?"
"I'm with someone who is much more than whatever 'Museum' is…" The mysterious girl answered, moving off the vehicle. She reached behind her before pulling out an odd staff with a green gem in the center.
'A staff? What is she-'
She aimed the object at him, and fired a beam, but as soon as it touched the ground, several Noise appeared before him.
Eternal suddenly felt anger, "You… You summoned Noise!?" He growled.
"Angry, are we now?" she smirked, summoning more around him as they soon begin to approach him. "Don't kill him, she wants him alive." She ordered the Noise.
Eternal thrust his left arm out before giving them a thumb down. "Now, enjoy hell." he declared before he began to attack the Noise in sudden rage. His mind was starting to wither due to the influence and without the motorcycle helmet underneath the armor, he wasn't able to keep track of his mentality.
The woman only sat there, arms crossed as she watched him fight, summoning more and more as she wanted to tire him out and overwhelmed him. She didn't know why Fine was curious about him or why she wanted to bring him back. As far as she was concerned, he was useless to their plan since he lacked a Symphogear.
'Why does Fine need this guy anyway?' The girl wondered.
Eternal destroyed the Noise with ease but he was growing fatigued. Wanting to eliminate them quickly, he grabbed his ACCEL Memory.
ACCEL!
Placing it into the side of his belt, he pressed the button.
ACCEL: MAXIMUM DRIVE!
His body felt steam and red energy coursing through his body before he suddenly vanished and appeared behind the horde. The Noise all vanished, their bodies having indents made from either his fists or feet that impacted their bodies.
"Not bad…. Too bad you missed a few." she grinned, summoning a few more, these ones were much taller as they looked at him before spewing some type of silk on him, immobilizing him from moving. He tried to pry himself free, the red flames on his arms igniting in flames to escape.
"Sorry, but your brute force and flames can't free yourself from them." She wiggled her finger. "This type of Noise is made for capture, so they would do their best to stay away upon firing that silk."
"Let me go!" Eternal yelled, his voice demanding freedom.
"Sorry, but someone else has plans for you," she said.
A click was heard, making the girl freeze. "Step away from him."
"Mom…"
The young woman was utterly stupefied upon this. She never noticed Shroud, nor heard her. The older woman just appeared out of thin air, a gun pointed at the back of her skull.
"You sure you wanna try that, lady? There are Noise around us after all." She reminded, pointing the weapon behind her before she summoned a few more Noise. They reacted and walked towards Shroud, as the rest flung at her, ready to disintegrate their target.
"MOM!"
Shroud didn't flinch and aimed left and fired a bullet that shot through three before she ducked and fired another round into one Noise's gut. Leaping over a large Noise, she aimed as she placed BOMB into her gun.
BOMB: MAXIMUM DRIVE!
The gun charged up before unleashing clusters of orbs that attached to each one individually. "Count your sins," Shroud said through her mask, each Noise exploding. Eternal gawked under his mask, never expecting his adoptive mother to be fully capable of combat… or fighting Noise. He had a wild guess that Sokichi must have taught her combat in the past.
"Geh… if you think destroying them is enough, think again!" The mysterious girl shouted, aiming at them once more, ready to summon more Noise.
Shroud aimed at her, the mask intimidating the mystery woman. "You activate it, I will put a bullet in your head before you can summon those Noise."
"You… wouldn't dare…" She growled, only to be shot in the arm. While the bullet didn't pierced through, it felt like a serious kick to her arm. The woman merely lowered its capacity. She could have shot her directly but she was toying with her.
"Try me." Shroud tested the girl.
The young woman growled, lowering the weapon before she then struck the ground, creating a cloud of smoke, making her escape once it cleared up. Shroud looked around before approaching her son and freed him.
"Thanks, mo-" He felt the slap across the face.
"You should have returned home so I can administer the serum," She scolded. "Don't you realize the effects it left you last time?"
"Sorry, mom… I… got distracted…." He apologized. Reaching for his Gaia Memory, he removed it from his buckle to dismiss his armor. Once he did, he immediately felt the injector pressed against his neck as the serum was injected into him.
"Next time, return home the moment you cancel your armor." She warned, almost coldly.
Enrique squeaked. "Y-Yes ma'am!"
One thing he always reminds himself, never upset Shroud.
A new day begins for the white rider who was relaxing by the fountain, playing his guitar as usual. To the people who often walk by the park or those who use the park as a shortcut, they would always hear him play the guitar, sometimes singing softly. His soft yet calm tune, the strumming of the guitar providing a sense of comfort and peace. Even attracting the girls his age due to his talent. That being said, he was finishing up his strumming, his eyes closed so he too can feel the comfort of the tune.
"Playing for the adults again?" Chris said, nearby, chewing on some food.
"Very funny, Chris," Enrique said, stopping his strumming and looked at her.
"Not my fault you have such bad tastes in entertainment." she shrugged.
"Don't I recall you singing to it last time?" The Half-American glared at him, causing him to flinch as she replied, "You didn't hear a thing!"
A part of him couldn't help but have a sly grin, "Oh? Didn't I recall how you hated music and yet you sang along with me? You even said 'You didn't hear a thing' last time too. So… isn't that something a Tsundere does?"
Her pupils shrank as she soon gained a blush. In moments she kicked Enrique's leg, "I'm no such thing!" She flinched when he jabbed her forehead.
"Relax, I was only teasing you." The American assured. Chris rubbed her forehead, her cheeks puffed at the action he did. "Besides, don't friends often do that? We are friends after all," He recalled with a smile.
"Since when were we friends?" she questioned.
"Two nights ago, don't you remember?" He remembered. "Plus, we both ate those onigiris together too."
Chris did remember telling him her name, accepting his handshake and how he kindly offered her food. "That doesn't mean a thing! I was just hungry!" she huffed, "Why don't you go to the nursery home? I'm sure they'd love you ramblings!"
"And yet you accepted me as your friend." He added, causing her to flush further before slamming her foot against his own. He yelped, hopping left and right while holding his foot. Once he stopped, he rubbed his foot to rid the slight pain before looking at Chris. "That hurt you know?"
"Next time, I'll add a spike to my heel." she glared at him.
Enrique raised his hands in defense before he placed his guitar back in the case. "Well, I should get going now." He walked ahead for a moment before stopping and looks back, "You wanna walk with me?"
"As if…." She huffed, "Go on home and play that stupid device in your own home."
'Just why does she have to act so aggressive?' He wondered in thought before heading back home.
After he left, the young girl sighed softly as she then noticed a few girls talking as they were about to walk after him, and for some reason, something in her made her step in front of them, glaring at them, "As if I'll let you go after him…" she warned them. "So back off." With those words, they flinched and back off.
Chris paused, realizing her aggressiveness to the girls. 'Why…. did I say that?' She said in her thoughts, confused as well.
Just what is going on with her? Was it all because of that guy she met!?
She grumbled to herself and marched off back to her own home. She rubbed her shoulders, still reeling from the pain from the punishment she got from her.
"I think I should head home…" Chris said softly, taking her leave for now. Just what was it about that raven-haired teen…?
Ryubee stared at the window, petting his cat as news of the 'Chameleon's' defeat and being sent to prison. The feed of the fight was displayed on the laptop on his desk as Isaka observed it with interest, seeing the blue flame that defeated Fake Skull before it returned to its red flames. There was no doubt a sliver of its true power was given to him for a brief moment by the Gaia Memory. A sign that he was growing stronger and briefly acknowledged the boy.
"You see don't you?" Ryubee asked them.
"Yes, I do… he's grown much stronger than we anticipated…." Another voice called out. "Should I send out my fiance to deal with him once and for all and claim Eternal back for us?"
"No," Ryubee answered firmly.
"Eh?"
"We have competition," Shinkuro informed. "We aren't the only ones after him."
"Precisely," The head of Museum faces them. "To get him, we must eliminate the competition."
"Question is… where is this competition?"
The other members were silent while the only sound was the cat's purring. "When they make themselves fully known, that is when you will strike. Shinkuro."
"Hai."
"Send a few of your men and also…" He glanced at the man with wavy dark brown hair with a handkerchief that held the symbol of the Japanese flag. "Kirihiko, I want you to test that Eternal."
The now named man grin, "Alright. I have been waiting to stretch for another fight."
What Eternal will never expect is the power of one of the Dopant Generals.
A/N: And that completes part 2 of the Dummy Dopant arc! It looks like our Rider has defeated the Dopant and gained another Gaia Memory. However, it looks like his actions have gained attention from a certain woman and now, Museum has finally made their move to send one of their own to fight. How will it go for Eternal? I hope you guys liked the development our Rider experienced as well as Chris's own. Seems her 'friendship' with him, made her protective, so it seems.
