Suki's Very Strange Day

The ferry terminal was busy.

It was not a surprise to Suki, as it had been busy since she and the other Kyoshi Warriors had gotten there.

Still, today felt particularly busy. It was so busy, in fact, that Suki almost missed the familiar blue clothes and ponytail at the ticket desk.

But it was enough for Suki to do a double-take, and spot Sokka standing amongst a small group of people. She saw Aang and Katara among them but didn't recognize the rest.

Deciding to mess with them a bit, Suki put on her best disapproving face and made her way to them.

She snuck up behind them just as she heard Sokka ask something about whether they should wait for someone in the terminal or meet them in the city proper when she grabbed him by the back of his collar fully intending to give him the scare of his life.

But as she wheeled him around to face her, a different face overlapped his, and she just… knew.

"Zixuan?" she asked in shock.

Sokka stared back at her, his eyes widening in shock. "MianMian!"

Suki released her grip on his collar in shock. "You're alive?" she asked. She had gone on to live a full life, but she'd always been sad that her dear friend was dead.

"The joys of reincarnation," said Sokka, also stunned to find her.

Suki's own daze was starting to ebb as she realized, "I was about to kiss you!" she said in mild horror.

"... Do you always kiss people you just met?" asked Sokka in slight concern.

That made Suki send him a glare. Was she really that hard to recognize without her makeup? "You didn't complain on Kyoshi Island."

Finally, it seemed to click to Sokka that he'd met 'this' her before. "SUKI!" He said excitedly. He then looked down at her uniform, and had to ask, "So… does this mean we're not in trouble?"

Suki clapped a hand over her face and laughed before hugging him.

Same old Sokka.

After an explanation and being thrilled to find out Jiang Yanli and Jin Zixuan had found each other again, she and the aptly named 'Team Avatar' got roped into flying a set of new parents, their newborn baby, and the baby's aunt into Ba Sing Se on Appa (a peaceful trip, despite the mother giving them odd looks from time to time).

Then she got roped into helping them stop a massive drill from breaking down the walls of the city.

Then, as Sokka flew her back to her post she was politely asked to keep an eye out for the Fire Prince who burned down her village because he was apparently Jiang Wanyin (fitting) with his uncle and the reincarnated Wei Wuxian, Lan Wangji, and Lan Sizhui in tow.

And then when she got back, she found out she had just missed the prince and his group, as they'd already gotten on the ferry, and caused quite a stir among the terminal workers that the prince's uncle managed to charm the woman in charge of the tickets to not only let them on but let them keep their ostrich-horse too.

By the time Suki went to bed that night, she was exhausted.

What a weird new life she had, but she liked it.

Now she just needed to find her husband and have her daughter again.

At least she had a good job to do that.

With how many people were coming into Ba Sing Se, chances were good she'd find him eventually.

A/N Short, but yes, to the people who already guessed. Suki is MianMian. She and Sokka are now firmly besties and she's rooting on Yue because she knows how Jin Zixuan and Jiang Yanli loved each other. No way she's getting in the way of that.
