Ferry Trip
The following day, Sunset Shimmer has once again gone out and planned on doing something for the day. "I wonder what to do today," Sunset Shimmer thought to herself. Sunset Shimmer eventually arrived at a small port near a city.
"Well, this looks like a busy place," Sunset Shimmer thought as she saw a lot of ponies running around. "Hey there!" a voice called to Sunset Shimmer. "Who's there?" Sunset Shimmer asked, startled by the voice.
She turned to see an earth pony. This one was a very cheery earth pony. "It's me!" the earth pony said. "Oh," Sunset Shimmer said, "It was you. I-" "Yeah!" the earth pony said. "Who are you?" Sunset Shimmer asked the earth pony.
"My name is Peachbottom," the earthpony answered, "And boy, do I have something for today!" "What?" Sunset Shimmer asked. "I'm going to the other side of the bay!" the pony, named Peachbottom, explained, "To Annapolis town!"
"Annapolis town?" Sunset Shimmer repeated. Sure enough, both ponies saw that they were close to a bay and they were right near a ferry dock. One was getting ready to leave and Peachbottom was excited to go on the trip.
"I see," Sunset Shimmer said. "Let's get on that ferry!" Peachbottom said. "All right," Sunset Shimmer replied as both ponies ran towards the ferry as it's whistle blew, telling everpony that it's getting ready to leave.
"Then let's go!" Peachbottom exclaimed and she and Sunset Shimmer got their tickets for the ferry and they made it onto the ferry. "Wow," Sunset Shimmer thought, "Nice ship." "You should see the interior," Peachbottom said. "Ok," Sunset Shimmer agreed.
Soon, it was time for the large ferry to leave the docks. It was untied from the pier and it steamed out to sea very slowly. "Hope I don't get seasick," Sunset Shimmer thought, "Or this might get messy." "Don't worry," Peachbottom said, "I never get seasick." "Good for you," Sunset Shimmer said with a smile. "I'm going to see what's going on inside."
"Ok," Sunset Shimmer replied as Peachbottom walked into the ferry's structure. Inside, it looks like the inside of any real life ferries. Peachbottom walked around, thinking about what to do.
At the same time, Sunset Shimmer stayed out on the ferry's deck, thinking about what to do in the future. She is still thinking about Princess Celestia. "I'll get there," she thought.
She was thinking so much about Princess Celestia that she didn't know that the ferry started to go slower some time later. But no pony noticed.
At the same time, Peachbottom worked out in a gym. She was enjoying herself. So much that she didn't know what was going on. The large ferry started to go slower and slower and slower until- "What's going on?" one pony asked. The ferry just stopped right in the middle of the ocean.
"Huh," Sunset Shimmer noticed, "Why did we stop?" At the same time, Peachbottom finally noticed the situation. "What's going on?" she asked, "It feels like we've stopped." That is true. The ferry stopped in the middle of the ocean.
"Oh no!" Sunset Shimmer thought, "This is not good." The sailors tried to figure out what is going on. "I don't get it," Sunset Shimmer said. "Me neither," Peachbottom said.
Then Peachbottom noticed something green and wavy in the waters. "There's kelp!" she pointed out. "Kelp?" Sunset Shimmer repeated. "You know," Peachbottom said, "Seaweed of the oceans."
"Oh," Sunset Shimmer said and that's when she had a thought. "I wonder," she thought to herself. She then used her magic to see what was going on. "With this spell cast upon me," Sunset Shimmer said, "I can see where I am not!"
She used this magic to look at the rear of the large ferry. She could see that the kelp has tangled itself in the ferry's rudder and jammed the propeller. "That's what happened," Sunset Shimmer declared at last, "The propeller is all tangled up!"
The other ponies were worried. "I'll try and fix the problem," Sunset Shimmer said, "I am a unicorn after all." The other ponies agreed to let Sunset Shimmer fix the problem.
So Sunset Shimmer used her strong magic to untangle the kelp that surrounded the propeller and rudder. In no time at all, the ferry was free and it was on its way to Annapolis town. Everypony cheered for Sunset Shimmer.
"Well done!" they all said. "Oh thanks," Sunset Shimmer smiled. "Yeah," Peachbottom agreed, "That was smart thinking." "I know," Sunset Shimmer said.
