The Aftermath
After Sunset Shimmer had dealt with a magical elf who had caused trouble for years, she'd managed to defeat him and get safely away.
Now she is walking down the mountain and getting further away from the area.
"Now that creepy thing has been dealt with," Sunset Shimmer said to no pony in particular, "I am thinking right now."
Once at the mountain base, several ponies had come out of nowhere and thanked Sunset Shimmer for getting rid of Gnome the magical elf. "What the?!" Sunset Shimmer exclaimed upon getting surrounded by the ponies. "We thank you very much," one of the ponies said.
"Wait a minute," Sunset Shimmer said, confused, "What's going on?" The other ponies continued to cheer Sunset Shimmer on. "That stupid midget elf had been causing nothing but trouble for so many years," another pony had said.
"We're happy to see that thing go," another pony had said happily, "It was fun to watch him fly up into outer space like that."
"Yeah," another pony had said, "He's played around with our village, making things float into the air like that, not respecting how we all feel." "He was always about himself," another pony said, "We don't know where he got that kind of magic from, but he didn't care." Sunset Shimmer was puzzled.
"But thank you for getting rid of that thing," another pony said excitedly, "I am happy." "We all are happy!" another pony said, "And we'd thank you for freeing us from that magical torment!" "Yes!" another pony said.
"Wait a minute!" Sunset Shimmer said, "What's going on in the first place?!" But Sunset Shimmer got no answer. Instead, she's being praised and cheered upon. "How did this all happen?!" Sunset Shimmer asked, but still got no answer.
The ponies continued to cheer her on.
Finally, Sunset Shimmer had enough and teleported herself away. "Where did she go?" one pony asked, confused. "Oh, she'd probably left to go to the next village in trouble," one pony suggested. "Praise the hero!" another pony said.
At that moment, Sunset Shimmer got safely away in a nearby forest. "I guess those ponies were happy for what I've done for them," Sunset Shimmer said, "Even though I got tangled up in that stupid elf's desires myself and I've only done it for myself. Oh well, he was just annoying, that's why."
With that said, Sunset Shimmer continued on her way. "Still," she thought, "It was right to do those ponies a favor. Something like that."
She continued on her way, still wondering about that whole adventure.
