After Aftermath
After getting away from the mass cheering of the ponies, who had been oppressed by Gnome's actions over the years, Sunset Shimmer could now get a moment to think about everything that had happened today.
"So," Sunset Shimmer said, "Now that I'm away from the cheering crowd, I can get things through my head. And I understood." First, Sunset Shimmer walked to a quiet place where she can think peacefully.
"Okay," Sunset Shimmer said, catching her breath, "I now understand. Those ponies said they had been harassed by that stupid midget elf with magical powers. And because I've walked into his territory, he decided to attack me. Well, I know the rest of that story."
Then Sunset Shimmer remembered something else. "I walked into his territory unaware of the whole ordeal," Sunset Shimmer went on, "And before I ran into him, I had fun playing on those floating platforms. I have to admit, It was a lot of fun. Fun by yourself."
"I wonder what that unicorn is going off about," several ponies said as they passed Sunset Shimmer. "Whatever," Sunset Shimmer scoffed.
As so, Sunset Shimmer decided to move further away, still remembering the story. "If I had been thinking only of myself," Sunset Shimmer said, "Actually, I was thinking for myself. For everything. For the whole incident. Even when fighting that stupid elf, whatever it was called. Well, then I'm doing everything for myself from now on."
Sunset Shimmer then reached her home. "Then again," Sunset Shimmer said, "Even so, I did think only about myself when I was cheered on by those other ponies who- oh, who am I kidding? I don't need to continue on with this!"
So Sunset Shimmer returned to her home, deciding not to remember this whole adventure. Well, not for the rest of her life.
But that's another story. As for the ponies from that village, they enjoyed rejoicing for many days to come. Even though they've never found the unicorn whom had liberated them from trouble. As for how Sunset Shimmer feels, that's a different story.
