Trying To Move Forward

The following day and once again, Sunset Shimmer had woken up to start her day. "Well," she began, "Yesterday was a lot of ride, wasn't it?" She, of course, said that to no pony.

"Oh well," Sunset Shimmer said, "Dealing with that stupid lawn gnome, or midget elf, whatever that thing was, was a lot of hard work. And, actually, it was kind of fun. Time to get started on whatever today."

Not thinking of all of the ponies she's saved yesterday, Sunset Shimmer began her daily routine activities. She got her breakfast, brushed her mane and tail and set outside once again. "Now, today," Sunset Shimmer said some time after the sun had risen, "It a lovely day. Beautiful."

Sunset Shimmer trotted outside and looked around. "Yes," Sunset Shimmer said, "Today is a lovely day." "What is that pony talking about?" a pony named Twinkleshine said. "I have no idea," another unicorn, named Minuette said, "But it looks like she's living in another world." "Okay, I agree with that," Twinkleshine said.

But Sunset Shimmer paid no attention to these ponies. Sunset Shimmer also didn't pay any attention to another unicorn pony named Moon Dancer. "What?" she said, puzzled. Sunset Shimmer just kept walking on by herself.

Soon enough, after hours of walking, Sunset Shimmer ended up in a beautiful meadow. "Wow," Sunset Shimmer said, "I can't believe I haven't encountered that stupid elf in this place, okay, I need to stop thinking about that. It's over. This place is beautiful!"

So, Sunset Shimmer decided to stay in the meadows for a while. "A great reward from yesterday," she thought. After fighting against the evil magical elf, this is a great reward for a pony like Sunset Shimmer.

"Oh, wow!" Sunset Shimmer said, "I can totally relax in this place. No pony ever set hoof here. Except for me! Ah, who cares?" So, for a while, Sunset Shimmer settled down in these meadows, albeit not paying any attention to the wildlife here.
