Good evening,
My computer decided to die so I wasn't able to write/update any of my stories this week. I have a new computer on the way and, thankfully, I was able to save all of my stories before my computer completely died. I'm currently using my brother's laptop so I can update my weekly chapter. Since I wasn't able to write for any of my other stories, here is one I had saved away. It's a background story of basically how Alucard and Sebastian were caught by the Professor. This story is pretty short, so I might update either again tonight or tomorrow. I hope you guys enjoy.

The Walk
It was a quiet night, which was quite unusual for the Hellsing Organization. By now Sir Integra would be barking orders at her servants or Alucard and Sebastian would be out killing ghouls and vampires. But tonight was different. They had no missions and Sir Integra was far too busy to order them around. So, the two monsters decided to stroll the Hellsing grounds...with Alucard's new little fledgling trailing after them. Seras was a fairly new vampire, only a day old really. And since waking up, she has hardly left Alucard's side. It made them think of a toddler clinging to its mother out of fear of the outside world. The little vampire aimlessly followed after them, but mostly kept to herself. Her blue irises glowed in the darkness. She looked around at her surroundings in pure interest. She was able to see clear as day and a lot farther than a human. Everything was so new to her and it amused Alucard and Sebastian watching her experience it all. The little vampire raised her hands and flexed her fingers. Without doing much, she instinctively grew out her nails. They grew into long, sharp talons. The girl marveled at that ability before her nails extracted back to a normal size. Curiously, Seras looked up at her mentors. Their backs were to her as they walked silently side by side through a thin wooded area. Her eyes flickered between the two of them before she spoke.
"Are you really a demon?" Seras asked outright. Slightly bewildered by the unexpected question, Sebastian came to a full stop. The little vampire accidentally walked right into him, though, managing to hurt her nose in the process from colliding it right into his shoulder blade. She stumbled back while rubbing her nose. The demon glanced over his shoulder at her.
"You doubt me?" He questioned. The small blonde smiled timidly at her stupid question.
"I...don't know. I...never met a demon before. I didn't even know if they were real." She murmured.
"Yes," Sebastian answered then, looking displeased that she actually thought he may have lied about that. "I'm a demon."
"And I don't think you want him to prove it to you, Police Girl." Her master advised. He was currently leaning back against a tree with his arms folded over his chest. "You'll be sure to die of fright." He teased as that smirk on his face showed off his razor sharp teeth.
"So, heaven and hell is real then?" Seras asked with an arched brow. Both men looked at her in astonishment. At this point, the smirk was gone from her master's face as he full on frowned at her.
"You have questioned God's existence?" Sebastian questioned her.
"I guess it doesn't really matter, does it, because I'm damned anyway." Seras muttered with a frown.
"Hell is real, I have seen it, and you should most definitely fear it. Prepare yourself, Police Girl. I hope the life you have chosen is worth it." Alucard told her carefully. The Police Girl didn't bother to correct her master on what she had and hadn't chosen. Instead, she focused on something else entirely.
"Wait...You've seen hell, Master?" Seras asked with a look of surprise. Her master stared at her for a long minute with an incredibly impassive look on his face. Though, she could have sworn she saw a glint of pain in his eyes. Before she could fully decipher that look, Alucard turned his head and sighed deeply through his nose.
"Yes," He answered a moment later. "Many years ago, long before you were ever born, my little fledgling."
"Master?" Seras whispered with a wounded look. Glancing back at her, Alucard was stunned to see that his Draculina was just about on the verge of tears. His eyes widened just the slightest. She barely even knew him. Why would she give a damn what happened to him? His Draculina was most certainly the strangest little creature he had ever met and she absolutely fascinated him. What drove her to care about him at all? She then asked him what she had been afraid to ask him. "How...were you...able to see hell?" If her master saw hell...then he must have died then, right? But then how was he standing here talking to her now? Surprisingly, a grin crept onto his lips and he snickered as he looked away from her. Sebastian silently stood there. His eyes flickered back and forth between the two vampires. He wondered how much Alucard would tell the little vampire. Normally the elder vampire was a closed book. Scratch that, that closed book had a padlock on it. Getting in was impossible. But, for once, Sebastian was witnessing something truly extraordinary. Was he actually opening up to his Draculina? Why? He's had a ton of fledglings, but none he's ever opened up to. Seras was barely a day old. Why did he feel compelled to tell her anything? Sebastian was now fully convinced that humanity has made Alucard soft.
"The obvious reason, Draculina, I died." The master answered before he pushed off of the tree and proceeded on his walk. Sebastian didn't hesitate following along beside the elder vampire down the dirt path through the woods. It took a second for his answer to sink in for the little vampire. The second it did, her eyes practically bulged out of her head and she jolted.
"What?!" She exclaimed, sounding alarmed by this information. "Are you okay?!" She asked immediately as if the man was bleeding out and dying as they speak. Seras chased after her mentors. "That was a stupid question...I think." She murmured in embarrassment with a faint blush. "How did it happen?!" Before he could answer, Seras quickly corrected herself. "I mean how did you die that is?" There was a moment of silence as Alucard debated on things.
"Sir Integra's great grandfather, Abraham Van Helsing, drove a stake through my heart." Her master responded causing the little vampire to wince.
"Isn't that fatal for a vampire?" Seras questioned.
"Which is how I died," Alucard reminded her with a chuckle.
"Right!" The small blonde squeaked bashfully.
"Once that stake entered my heart, I perished, Childe. I awoke in hell, and let me tell, time works very differently down there. It's slow. A few seconds on earth is a couple of years in hell. I was there for a very long time before I woke up again and walked the earth." Alucard explained to her.
"But how are you up and walking around? Shouldn't you...be dead, Master?" The little vampire asked. But once realizing what she blurted out she timidly lowered her head and gently bit her bottom lip. "Sorry if that sounded insensitive at all, Master."
"You're perfectly fine, my dear." The elder vampire chuckled. Sebastian couldn't help looking at him from the corner of his eye. So far the No Life King was spilling his guts to this girl. The demon still couldn't figure out why. Was this a new way of seduction that Alucard was trying out? Share his feelings and traumatic past in hope to melt Seras' heart and get her under him? Or was Alucard truly just trying to bond with the girl? Did it feel good for him to finally share everything with someone? The more these two conversed, the more the demon grew curious and astounded. "I was resurrected by the Hellsing a few weeks later after my demise." Casually, her master raised one of his hands to show her the Hellsing runes on the back of his glove. "These runes brought me back to life and bond me to his bloodline."
"Oh, my god." Seras whispered under her breath.
"He then proceeded to torture me to see how I 'ticked', as he so kindly put it." Alucard scoffed. "There is a reason why I'm the most feared man alive. There's a reason why even monsters are scared of me, Seras. It's because of the Hellsing. He turned me into a nightmare. Everything he had put me through, the endless torture, dissection, and constant starvation, I grew stronger and my powers evolved. I was turned into an indestructible weapon, but also a properly trained lap dog." Her master then scowled. "I'm a joke to other monsters. They have the audacity to laugh behind my back, but the second we come face to face, they piss themselves in fear."
"Master," His Draculina whispered, drawing his mind away from those dark, painful memories. He took a quick glance over his shoulder at his Childe to see tears sliding down her cheeks. He instantly jerked his gaze away from hers and frowned. What has he done? He got so absorbed in telling her that he forgot entirely just who he was talking to. How did he end up so far down this rabbit hole? How did he end up telling his Draculina everything? And now...she was crying? What triggered her to cry for him? When was the last time anyone gave a damn about him?
"Forget it," Alucard murmured a second later. "I've said too much." There was a weird taste in his mouth from telling his Draculina so much about himself. He couldn't even recall a time he told anyone this story ever. Why her? Why now? Why did he feel so comfortable and welcomed in her presence, and why did she feel the same? Why wasn't she scared? It became clear to him that Seras wasn't going to let this go.
"When you were in hell, is that when you met Sebastian, Master?" The little vampire asked in a whisper. Successfully, without even really trying, this brought another grin back onto his face. Both men snickered at the 'silly' question she had asked.
"No," Alucard answered softly. "I met Michaelis long before then." The elder vampire took a side glance at the smirking demon. "He's actually the reason you and I are vampires, Draculina."
"What?" Seras murmured and glanced up at Sebastian with curiosity in her eyes.
"That's a whole other story, Police Girl. One I will not tell today. Let's just say that when I was human, I was in a dire situation. Michaelis appeared and tempted me to choose this life." Alucard told her.
"He saved you?" The little vampire asked as she glanced between her two mentors.
"Yes," Alucard and Sebastian answered simultaneously with a nod of their heads. The Draculina licked over her lips before speaking again.
"May...I ask another question?" Seras asked timidly.
"What is it this time?" Her master asked.
"I'm sorry if I'm annoying you with all of these questions." She muttered with a frown. She was getting the sense that she was starting to annoy them.
"Trust me, you're not." The demon surprisingly answered. "I think your master is greatly enjoying the attention."
"What was your question, Police Girl?" Alucard asked, deciding to ignore the demon.
"How was Sebastian caught by Hellsing?" Seras asked. The smirk faltered from the demon's lips, leaving him scowling at the reminder that he too was a lap dog.
"Your buffoon of a master screwed up." Sebastian answered softly.
"How?" The little vampire asked.
"Well, it was bad enough he attracted the Hellsing's attention after preying on noble women. But then he said some things he shouldn't have said." The demon tried explaining, but was only managing to confuse the Draculina. Her brows furrowed and she frowned.
"I don't understand." She admitted with a light shake of her head.
"I didn't expect you to." Sebastian responded. "Do you ever wonder, Seras, why Alucard refers to me as Michaelis instead of by my own name?"
"Sebastian Michaelis isn't your real name?" Seras asked, sounding shocked.
"No," The demon chuckled in amusement. "It's a false one that was given to me a long time ago."
"Then...why does Master call you Michaelis?" She asked.
"Knowing a demon's true name, gives you power over it." Sebastian answered.
"Really?" Seras responded. "I had no idea. Why is that?"
"Knowing someone's name can inflict fear into anyone. How would you feel if someone you didn't know knew your name?" The demon asked.
"I would be concerned, maybe scared, but...I honestly can't see you being scared just because someone found out your name." Seras admitted, earning a chuckle from both men.
"No," Sebastian replied. "But knowing a demon's name and the person has the power to cast that demon back to hell."
"Not to sound stupid, but why is that bad? Isn't hell technically your home? Why would you fear such a place?" The Draculina asked.
"I don't fear it, Miss. Victoria." Sebastian chuckled. "Being summoned to earth is incredibly hard for a demon. It could have taken decades, even centuries for me to return. As you know, demons get their food source from earth. A demon can last a long time without a soul, but it is maddening. Starvation is no friend to any creature."
"So, Sir Integra's great grandfather found out your name?" Seras asked.
"Yes," The demon answered with a nod.
"And because of my master?" She questioned.
"Yes," Sebastian agreed. "Alucard, the only person I allowed to know my true name, let it slip in front of the Professor. Since that incident, he only ever uses my false name."
"Wait. If Master knew your true name...Did he ever try to control you?" Seras asked, unable to keep from smiling at that thought. It sounded like something her master would do just to annoy or tease the demon.
"No, vampires and demons don't hold the same power as humans do when it comes to that, Miss. Victoria." The demon responded. "Anyway, the Professor used my name against me, incapacitated me, and tucked me away into a dungeon. I stayed there with Alucard's corpse until he discovered the old runes that gave him the power to resurrect your master and bind us to him. Today, the only person, besides your master, who knows my name are Sir Integra and Walter. And...I suppose you." Seras immediately furrowed her brows in confusion.
"Sebastian, I don't know your actual name, though." She reminded him.
"Not yet," The demon chuckled.
"Are you sure you want to tell her?" Alucard asked. He looked surprised that the demon would reveal his name willingly; it would be the first person since he revealed his name to him many centuries ago.
"I don't see the harm. She can't necessarily use it against me and...I believe I can trust her not to share this information." Sebastian spoke with a pleased smile. He glanced at the girl over his shoulder. "Do you care to know?" The small blonde blushed.
"If...you don't mind...telling me." Seras whispered with an adorable smile and a sparkle in her eyes. Quite suddenly, the demon stopped to spin around, causing the girl to take several cautious steps back with a cute squeak. Bowing to the little creature, he held out his hand to her.
"Malphas, my dear, and it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance." Charmed by that smirk on his face and the warm look in his brown eyes, the girl smiled bashfully. Her cheeks turned a dark shade of red as she nervously slipped her hand into his.
"Pleasure," The silly blonde mumbled shyly. The smile on her face grew wider when the demon unexpectedly leaned in to kiss her hand like a true gentleman.
"I think at this point, Seras, you and I both know that I made that choice for you. You were too far out of it, probably from the pain or the blood lost, but you couldn't comprehend what I was offering to you. I made the choice for you. I turned you into a vampire because I wanted to." Alucard interrupted. Seras glanced over at her master. His back was to her. He kept his hands shoved in his coat pockets as he stared up at the moon. "Hell is truly a terrible place and you are eternally damned." He then turned to look at her. "Perhaps I should feel guilty about doing that to you, but I don't." A grin spread across his face but it wasn't sadistic, it was warm. Seras couldn't help smiling in return. "It's nice to have someone else to walk the night with."
The End
It's been a while since I last did a short, sweet, simple story like this one. I kind of miss doing those.
I hope you guys enjoyed it.
