Chapter Three
The sun was slowly starting to sink behind the horizon. Sebastian and Seras could still be found in bed. The little vampire was buried away in the crook of the demon's arm. Her face was hidden in his torso as she kept one arm wrapped loosely around his stomach. He held her close to him with his arm around her shoulders. The book laid forgotten on top of his chest as Sebastian stayed in a deep sleep. He had stayed up for a good two hours reading to her, even though she fell asleep relatively fast. He had been so entirely comfortable with his mate in his arms that he had slowly drifted off to sleep. He rarely had the pleasure of doing so, and being able to sleep with Seras by his side was a real treat. The demon stirred from his sleep minutes after the sun had fully set.
Opening his eyes and scanning the room, he recalled where he was and couldn't keep from smirking. Sebastian glanced down to admire his sleeping mate. She looked so peaceful. It eased him seeing her like this instead of stressed and distraught like last night. Seras stirred from her sleep with a heavy sigh through her nose. Cracking open her eyes, she took a moment to remember where she was. As she stretched out her stiff legs, she shifted her head to come face to face with Sebastian. The demon knew she was shocked when her eyes flew open all the way and she jumped from his arms.
"Sebastian!" Seras exclaimed with a bright red face. The small blonde blinked at him, looking purely mortified, while her heart raced in her chest. Despite him being disappointed in her leaving his arms so quickly, he grinned in amusement from that lovely reaction. She was so shy. Smoothly, Sebastian sat up in bed to once more come face to face with her. The blush on her cheeks darkened while that purity and shyness sparkled in her gorgeous blue eyes. "Sorry," She apologized softly before turning her head to look elsewhere. "I…I didn't think you would stay." I didn't think we would end up cuddling! Seras practically shouted in her mind, unaware that he overheard that particular thought. Embarrassed having snuggled up against him, she bit deep into her bottom lip.
"You asked me to stay, so I did." Sebastian reminded her as tenderness simmered in his own eyes. Oh, how he adored this creature before him. "Did you think I would slip away the second you shut your eyes?"
"No…I don't know." Seras muttered.
"Was it alright that I stayed?" The demon asked. This question earned him her attention. The Draculina's head snapped back to look at him.
"Of course!" She answered quickly in fear that she had offended him. "I'm actually…relieved that you did stay the entire day with me. Thank you for doing that. And…I'm sorry and I'll…" Before she could finish that sentence, Sebastian interrupted.
"Don't be sorry." He told her once more as he placed a hand on top of hers on the bed. "You did not inconvenience me. I was just happy to assist you." Seras gave him a small, bashful smile.
"Thanks," She whispered.
"If you're ever feeling lonely, Seras, don't be afraid to ask for my company." Sebastian added. The smile on her face widened. Unexpectedly, the little vampire leaned up to place a quick kiss on his cheek.
"Thanks, Sebastian. And thank you for being understanding…even if you don't understand why I'm acting all out of sorts." She snickered.
"It bothers me to see you so upset. I want to help any way I can. It's nice to see you with a smile; it's been a while since I last saw it." He replied. "I hope you have a better night than yesterday." The mention of yesterday wiped the smile right off of her face. Suddenly, she wasn't able to look him in the eye. Looking ashamed, Seras lowered her gaze to frown at the bedding. No more than a second later, she slipped her hand out from under his and got up from her spot on the bed.
"I hope so too." She muttered. To further isolate herself from him, she crossed her arms over her chest and took several steps away from the bed. The demon's grin vanished from the cold, odd behavior she was displaying. Had he said something wrong? What happened? Taking the hint that the tender moment was over, Sebastian climbed out of bed. He ran his hands down his shirt to smooth out any wrinkles that might've formed while he lay unconscious.
"I guess I'll take my leave then and let you dress and eat in peace." The demon announced. For a few long seconds, Sebastian stared at her while she did everything to avoid his gaze. "Please don't be afraid to come to me when you need me, Seras. Whatever the problem may be, big or small, you can rely on me to help." As he said this he made his way to the door.
"Thank you, Sebastian. You have no idea how much that means to me." She responded, managing to put a smile on his face. "I'm sorry that I'm acting…weird. It's not you. I promise."
"It's alright, Miss Victoria." Sebastian replied, unaware that Seras winced when he used her last name. "I'm available when you are ready to talk about what's bothering you."
"Thanks," She whispered before he exited her room.
"Miss. Victoria?" Someone teased Sebastian after he securely closed the door behind him. Turning his head, he found Alucard leaning back against the wall near Seras' bedroom door. A large grin settled on his face while his glasses hid all other expression from him. "That seemed like a cold goodbye."
"How long have you been standing there listening in?" Sebastian questioned him.
"Not long," The elder vampire replied. "Should I be concerned that you and Seras are sneaking around behind my back? I thought we had an understanding, Michaelis."
"It wasn't like that, Alucard." The demon sighed. "Seras was afraid to be alone." The grin instantly fell from Alucard's face. Removing his glasses, he looked Sebastian straight in the eye.
"Come again?" The No Life King asked.
"Perhaps we should discuss this away from her bedroom door." Sebastian suggested before leading the way. Alucard followed Michaelis down the hall, heading in the direction of the demon's room. "She called me late last night and asked me to spend the night with her. I am very concerned for her. It's as if she's falling apart at the seams and I have no idea how to help her. All I can offer her is my company. She assures me that it's enough, but I wish there was more that I could do for her."
"Afraid to look us in the eye, has been distant and distraught, had a crisis during a mission, is afraid to be alone, and this all started happening after having sex with a man." Alucard strung together.
"Are you implying what I think you are?" Sebastian asked with an arched brow and a concerned look in his eyes.
"I gathered more evidence while you were consoling her." The elder vampire proceeded as he removed a plastic bag from his coat pocket. In the bag was a pair of pink panties.
"Is this what she tried getting rid of last night when she disappeared to go to the bathroom?" The demon questioned as he took the bag from the elder vampire.
"She tried hiding it, but all she did was bury it in the bottom of the trash." Alucard answered. The two stopped outside of the demon's bedroom.
"I can't imagine you rummaging through garbage." Sebastian muttered while he removed the torn panties from the plastic bag.
"Our mate is distressed and hiding evidence. Rummaging through rubbish is the least of my worries." The elder vampire replied.
"There's dry semen and blood on these." Michaelis noted as he further inspected the panties.
"And yet the band of her panties are completely dry; bone dry in fact." Alucard brought to his attention. The demon shifted her panties in his hands to look over the band. There wasn't even a drop of arousal from Seras. Sebastian sighed heavily when all evidence pointed to one thing.
"Who raped her?" Sebastian asked. His tone stayed calm, but his body language hinted at what he was truly feeling. He was gripping the pair of panties tightly in his one hand while fiery black shadows engulfed his entire body. His perfect, warm chocolate covered eyes transitioned to a deep, blood red.
"I know it may look like that, but let's not jump to conclusions, Michaelis. We should get confirmation from Seras first." Alucard dissuaded him.
"Are you really trying to discourage me from hunting down and killing the man that defiled our mate?!" The demon snarled.
"Believe me, I would love to disembowel the man who took what he wanted whether she was willing or not. But I'm holding onto the bit of hope that Seras wasn't raped." The No Life King reasoned with him.
"How do we even discuss something like this with her?" Sebastian asked as he glared at the dirty piece of cloth in his hands. "Should we be forward or wait for her to confide in us?"
"I don't know how to approach this. I would prefer being blunt, but I'm concerned that will only further upset her." Alucard responded.
"Well we have to do something, Alucard. Seras is falling apart and thinks she's going through this alone." The demon reminded him.
Seras kept shifting from foot to foot as she stood in front of her bedroom door. She was dressed in casual clothing, since it was her day off, and planned on spending it like any other day she had off (going out or watching a movie). But she couldn't find the courage to leave her room in fear of running into Ryan. She wouldn't be able to stand seeing the grin on his face or that disgusting, lustful look mixed with pride in his eyes. And what if word got out? What if Ryan told people that he fucked her and she lost what little respect her colleagues had for her? This is a nightmare! Seras placed her fingertips on her temples and took deep breaths. She couldn't stay locked in her room for the rest of her life…or, more realistically, Ryan's life. Eventually she will have to cross Ryan's path again since they were both soldiers. Wouldn't it be better to just get it done and over with; start adapting now instead of putting it off?
"Okay. Okay." Seras attempted to pump herself up, leave her room, and face her fears. "Just go about your day like it's any other. You can and will get through this. You've been through worse. You've got this! Don't let anyone tear you down!" Mustering up enough courage, Seras finally pulled open her bedroom door and practically skipped right out. Unfortunately, her heart sank to her stomach the second she realized that she had left the safety of her room and was heading out of the basement. All color drained from her face, her chest became heavy, and she found that she was unable to lift her gaze from the ground.
"Snap out of it, Seras. You've got this. Don't let him destroy your life. Snap out of it." She muttered under her breath. Taking several deep breaths, Seras was able to calm herself down, though the knot in her stomach and nausea remained. It's your night off. Try and relax. Let's make a list of things you can do to get your mind off of…other things. Let's see…you can spend some time in the garden, maybe do some star gazing. Or maybe go out on the town and do some late night shopping. Or maybe watch some TV in the lounge. "That all sounds very relaxing." Seras sighed peacefully. The past is behind you. It's time to move forward. The little vampire forced a smile onto her face. Try to be positive. It's not the end of the world. Move forward.
She didn't stop for anything or anyone. She headed straight for outside, mostly in hope that the fresh air would clear her head and calm her racing heart. When she stepped outside and felt the cool night breeze, she felt most of her stress melt away. She breathed in the cool air, loving the feel of it filling her lungs. It soothed her further when she caught a whiff of the flowers from the garden. Her fake smile became genuine. Her eyes lifted from the ground so she could gaze up at the stars. The smile on her face widened. Such a beautiful night. A thought then struck her. Instead of focusing on the bad, why not list the things she was grateful for? Seras took a nice, brisk walk through the garden while she stared up at the dark sky full of gorgeous stars.
"I'm grateful for the stars," Seras started her list. The cool wind caressed over her cheeks once more. "The wind," She reached her favorite spot among all those beautiful pink and red roses. While she admired the roses that recently bloomed she sat down on a stoned bench. "Flowers of all kinds," Everything she had been worrying about, that had been weighing on her mind, was suddenly drifting away. "I am grateful for Sebastian, Master, and Walter for being kind. I am grateful to Sir Integra for allowing me to stay in her beautiful home." Her list was interrupted by a wolf whistle. Seras jolted in surprise before she instinctively turned to see who whistled and at who they whistled. Two soldiers, not that far from her, were grinning from ear to ear at her.
"Looking fine tonight, Victoria!" One soldier called out to her before they continued on their way. Seras' mouth fell open in shock. She was, of course, used to people catcalling her. But ever since she joined this organization, became a vampire, people were too afraid to even look in her direction. What the hell?! Was it purely coincidence that men were catcalling her after what happened last night or…had Ryan…said something to the other soldiers? Seras closed her mouth before she nervously looked around to make sure nobody had overheard that. Seeing that it was clear, she straightened on the bench and tried getting back into that positive attitude.
"Things I'm grateful for, um…" She rubbed her hands together while she stared up at the stars. This time around she found it difficult to focus on the beauty around her. "Um…my parents. I'm grateful for my parents. I'm grateful for the Police Academy…though that was a complete bust since I was turned into a vampire and became a soldier for a secret organization. Um…I guess I'm grateful for this second chance at life…even though Master could have prevented shooting me in the lung to kill the bad guy." Seras sighed heavily in defeat.
"Hey, Seras, are you looking for a good time tonight?" Another soldier catcalled her.
"Let's see, what else am I grateful for?" Seras ignored him as she casually got up and walked away. "What else?"
"Oh, come on! Don't be like that, love!" The soldier added, but she proceeded to ignore him. "Well, hit me up when you're ready to hook up!" Seras' eyes burned with fresh tears, but she did her best to fight those tears off.
"What else?" Her voice cracked as she tried ever so hard to focus on her list. She used her palm to wipe the moisture from her eye. "Um…I'm grateful for…um…colors! I'm grateful for my sight and…um…my other four senses. I'm grateful for art and music." What is with everyone? Why were people harassing her? "I'm grateful for being able to read and write." Why did men think it was okay to degrade women? To make them feel small and dirty? "I'm grateful for movies and fuzzy blankets that comfort me when I'm sad." I'm grateful for Sebastian and his arms for comforting me last night when I really needed it. I'm grateful to Alucard for comforting me and letting me cry in his chest. How could she feel so blessed and so unfortunate all at once?
"Damn, Victoria! Didn't realize how amazing your ass was until you fit it in those tight jeans!" A soldier named Martin exclaimed before he boldly slapped her on the ass. Seras jumped and immediately covered her stinging ass with her hands.
"What the hell?!" The little vampire yelled as she spun around to face him. However, someone was already handling it for her. Out of nowhere, Alucard and Sebastian appeared. In under a second, the demon had grabbed the soldier by his wrist and, with very little pressure, shattered the small bones with ease. Martin fell to his knees with a sharp cry of pain. Sebastian's grasp tightened around the man's broken bones as he gave him a withering glare. Shocked, Seras' hands flung up to cover her mouth to muffle a gasp.
"Sebastian!" The Draculina exclaimed, purely bewildered that he was intentionally hurting a soldier belonging to the Hellsing Organization. Alucard came right up to yangle his fingers in her hair.
"Are you alright?" The elder vampire asked as he checked her over for any visible injuries. "Did he hurt you?" But Seras was so fixated on what Sebastian was doing that she hardly heard what Alucard asked.
"What are you doing?!" The small blonde asked him in a panic. She nervously looked around and checked the windows, praying that Sir Integra doesn't find out about this. There were a few soldiers lingering around, watching from afar, but all were too scared to approach the monsters. When Alucard never received a response from her, he hesitantly slid his fingers out of her hair and took a step back. "Sebastian, what are you doing?!" The demon's dark eyes flickered over to meet her terrified gaze.
"He touched you without consent!" Sebastian snarled as the fury rose in his eyes. Much to the soldier's misfortune, the demon's grip tightened even further, splintering Martin's ulna and radius bones.
"Oh my God! Please stop! I'm sorry!" The soldier pleaded.
"You're sorry?!" Michaelis repeated.
"Sebastian, stop!" Seras begged him. "Please!" Obediently, Sebastian released the degenerate who immediately fell face down on the ground. Curling up into a tight ball, the crying soldier cradled his shattered arm. Lowering her hands from her face, she began to question his actions. "What were you doing?!"
"Protecting you from swine!" Sebastian unintentionally raised his voice at her. "From men who think they can just take what they want when they want! I should be killing him for touching you, Seras! Why did you tell me to stop?! Why don't you want me to kill him?! I can have his intestines strung around his fragile neck! I can rip his beating heart from his chest and feed it to him!" She could see that the demon was only getting angrier; she can taste how badly he wanted to kill this man. Why? Was it really just because the guy slapped her on the ass or maybe they read the human's thoughts and didn't like what they heard? Or was it for a completely different reason?
"I can crush his manhood beneath my boot!" Alucard suggested through gritted teeth. "He shouldn't be allowed to just walk away after what he did to you! Let us take care of him! Or, better yet, we'll guide you through it and you can kill him yourself!"
"Yes!" Sebastian agreed. "You'll never have to lay eyes on him again, Seras!"
"I know it was disgusting, but all he did was slap my ass! I'm used to morons like him! I've been dealing with pigs like him since I was fifteen!" Seras responded while gesturing at the sobbing man at their feet. "Please, don't kill him over something so stupid! I don't want you guys getting into further trouble with Sir Integra!"
"All he did was slap your ass?" Alucard questioned her.
"I'm sorry!" Martin cried once more. "I'm so sorry!"
"There's nothing else he did to you?" Sebastian asked her carefully.
"No!" Seras replied. "I appreciate you guys for defending me, but please don't! I can take care of myself!"
"I'm sorry!" The soldier repeated. "There's a rumor going around that you're loose! I was just…taking a chance! I'm sorry!" Seras' face paled as her eyes drifted down to stare mortified at the injured soldier.
"What?" She whispered as she began to hyperventilate.
"I'm sorry! People were afraid to approach you before but after hearing the rumor that you're…open to sexual relationships…I'm sorry. I thought I had a shot. I'm sorry." Martin went on.
"Who said that I was…open to that?" Seras asked, though she had a very good idea of who was spreading that rumor.
"I don't know. I heard it from several guys." The soldier answered.
"It's not true!" The Draculina exclaimed. "It's not!"
"If you're not going to kick my dick in the dirt, could you please take me to the hospital wing? Or at least get the medical officer, please?" The soldier begged. "I'm in a lot of pain!"
"Pickman!" Alucard shouted. Seras' eyes widened when her master called upon her captain. What was he doing? And how in the hell did he know the Captain's name? She figured Alucard wouldn't have bothered to learn anyone's name, especially since he kept calling her Police Girl. Without question, Captain Pickman, a tall brunette with dark brown eyes, came right over. He looked annoyed, but quite used to Alucard's demands.
"What is it that you want, you old bastard?" Pickman asked. Noticing Seras standing there, he politely nodded to her. "Officer Victoria, I hope you're doing well." His eyes then landed on the wounded soldier at their feet. "Oh, bollocks. What did you do this time, Alucard?"
"He was acting inappropriately and I taught him a lesson. That's all you need to know." Sebastian responded.
"Direct him to the hospital wing." Alucard ordered.
"I don't take orders from you, Alucard." Pickman grumbled, though he was quick to help his fellow soldier to his feet. "You can't just order me around."
"While you're here, could you take on another task for us?" Sebastian asked. Pickman paused to give him a strange look.
"You're no better than Alucard. What is it, Michaelis?" The Captain sighed in frustration.
"Someone is apparently spreading rumors about Seras." The demon explained.
"Sebastian," Seras interrupted, but was ignored.
"Really?" Pickman questioned before he glanced back over at the Draculina. "I haven't heard anything yet. What sort of rumors?"
"Filthy ones," The demon sneered. "Please find out who is spreading those horrid rumors."
"Don't worry, Victoria. I'll put a stop to it." Pickman promised with another polite nod of his head. The Captain then helped the soldier out of the garden. "You're lucky, mate. I don't know what you did to piss them off, but they took mercy on you."
"What was that?" Seras asked after the captain and soldier were out of earshot. She looked up at her mentors in pure disappointment. "Why are you breaking some poor guy's bones and telling the captain to watch over me? I told you, I can take care of myself."
"You did nothing to defend yourself there." Sebastian instantly corrected her.
"Are you insane?!" Seras questioned him. "What exactly was I supposed to do, Sebastian?! He's a human! We're monsters! If I defend myself, I'm the bad guy!"
"What makes you think that?" The demon asked.
"You and Master both already have an extremely bad rap. It is more than clear that neither of you care who gets hurt in the process. You're both infamous monsters. And you, Sebastian, just broke someone's wrist defending me. Do you honestly believe Sir Integra is going to take your side?" The Draculina asked him. "Why would she when she's made it perfectly clear that it's her job to protect humanity from the scum of the earth?"
"Your words may be true, but that shouldn't mean you shouldn't defend yourself." Sebastian attempted to get through to her.
"Sir Integra may not understand, but we would. You're not a villain in our eyes." Alucard added.
"I appreciate that, but…Sir Integra holds power over us. If she sees me as the villain, then…" Seras trailed off. Her gaze lowered to the ground before she gave a heavy sigh. "I don't think I need to tell you guys what she would do. You know her better than most. But I think we all know she would have me killed. I may not entirely appreciate my new life as a vampire, but I have no desire to die."
"We would never let anything happen to you." The No Life King vowed to her. A look of discomfort crossed over her features and her frown deepened.
"Seras, did something already happen?" Sebastian pushed lightly, hoping she would confide in them. Her entire face paled as she stared intently at one spot on the ground, avoiding their gazes.
"Of course not!" She responded far too fast. Sebastian's heart stopped when realizing that she was lying. His stomach was all in knots and there was a foul taste in his mouth. Seras was raped and she was still trying to hide it from them. Why? Was she ashamed? Disgusted in herself? Was she afraid of what they would think of her? Sebastian opened his mouth, wishing to question her; to tell her that they knew the truth. He just wanted her to know that she could rely on them. They were here for her and wanted to help her solve the problem so she never had to lay eyes on that vile man ever again. But no matter how badly he wanted to say any of these things to her, no words left his mouth. He was speechless. What can he even say that would make her feel better? If he said anything, would it only make things worse or better? What if she became more distressed? Should he and Alucard wait until Seras outright told them what happened?
"Seras," Sebastian started. "Alucard and I are here if there's anything you want to talk about."
"Are you afraid to be judged by us? Are you afraid of what we would think?" Alucard asked. They could see the tears welling up in their mate's eyes as she still avoided all eye contact with them. I'm afraid of it all. I'm afraid that they will be disgusted and so very disappointed in me. I'm afraid of how they will act if they truly and deeply loved me. I'm afraid of how Sir Integra will punish them if they kill him. Without her knowledge of it, Alucard and Sebastian heard these thoughts of hers. Their mate was terrified. Was this why she didn't confide in them, because she feared they would get in trouble with Sir Integra? After what Seras went through, getting in trouble was hardly on their minds.
"Why are you asking all of these questions? Nothing happened!" Seras tried assuring them, even though they knew the truth. A look of guilt then crept into her eyes. "I'm sorry for…sounding so snippy. I appreciate the offer, but I'm fine."
"You don't need to pretend with us, Seras." Sebastian attempted to assure her. "We just want to help."
"Pretend?" Seras repeated. "What have you heard? Are you getting information from the other men? Because whatever you heard is false!" Finally, the small blonde looked up at them. "Why are you both hounding me? Nothing happened and I don't want to discuss it any further." What had they heard? Knowing that Alucard and Sebastian knew something about her really bugged Seras. How is she supposed to face her mentors if they're hearing horrible rumors about her being a slut? She was starting to feel very sick to her stomach.
"I'm sorry," Sebastian apologized after realizing he was pushing her too far. He hadn't meant to upset her further and now she had no desire to share anything with either of them. How were they supposed to hear the truth from her and help console her without further upsetting her? He didn't want to accidentally push her into another meltdown or even a panic attack. What were they supposed to do? "We said what we needed to. I just hope that you take advantage of our offer. Don't be afraid to speak to us, Seras. We'll be available when you're ready to talk."
"Thanks. I'll keep that in mind." Seras murmured. "Right now, I'm just going to take advantage of my day off and try to relax. I'll see you guys later."
"I hope you're able to relax." Sebastian muttered before the Draculina left them in the garden.
"I understand that you're angry at her perpetrator and you're bothered that she's not sharing what happened to her, but we can't push her like that. It's putting far too much strain on her physically and mentally." Alucard advised him.
"How can we help her if she won't tell us anything?" The demon sighed in frustration.
"We simply need to be patient. I'm positive she will confide in us soon." The No Life King responded.
"What makes you so sure of that?" Sebastian scoffed.
"Because she needs someone she can trust, someone she feels safe with. We will be her rock." Alucard answered with an air of confidence. "In the meantime, I know one way we can help Seras."
"And what way would that be?" The demon asked.
"Gathering further evidence to prove her innocence. Sir Integra won't take lightly to us slaughtering one of her men. But I also know she won't stand for a man assaulting a woman, vampire or not." The elder vampire figured.
"Are you insinuating that we don't murder him with our bare hands and let Sir Integra handle the matter?" Sebastian asked, sounding agitated while he glared daggers at the No Life King.
"Think of Seras, Michaelis. If we killed the soldier without evidence, Seras could be killed for our actions. Sir Integra will see her as a liability and the cause of us falling out of line." Alucard elaborated.
"It would be nice to be the one to kill the man who defiled our Seras, but at least the matter will be dealt with and Seras will never have to lay eyes on him again." Sebastian sighed in defeat, deciding Alucard's plan was the best. "Now, how do we gather further evidence?"
"Hellsing has eyes and ears everywhere." The No Life King reminded him.
"Of course, the security cameras." The demon responded as he looked towards the Organization.
"We also have Pickman." Alucard added with a grin.
"We roughly know the time the assault took place. Now we just have to figure out where Seras was last night before the mission." Sebastian spoke as he pinched his chin. He stared mindlessly at the ground as he wracked his brain to try and remember Seras' schedule. "I believe at that time she would have been training with the rest of the soldiers. We can only assume that the assault took place in the training room, armory, locker room, shower, or somewhere outside."
"I believe we can exclude outside considering she was coming down the stairs from the first storey. The assault must have taken place in one of those other four rooms." Alucard figured. "However, security cameras weren't installed in the locker rooms and bathrooms for obvious reasons."
"So, our only two options for valuable evidence are the training room and armory. Let's not waste anymore time. The sooner we get the evidence, the sooner we can help Seras." Sebastian replied as he turned to start heading towards the manor. "I will keep no promises of murdering the man who raped Seras. The second we figure it out, he's dead."
"Keep Seras in mind, Michaelis. We don't want any further harm coming to her." Alucard reminded him.
"How could you possibly stay so calm?" The demon just about growled in fury. "I thought for sure you would want to tear him limb from limb, make him suffer, and grant him the slowest of deaths."
"I am enraged, probably more than I've ever been in life. I would love to make him suffer and beg for death. But if we act irrationally, Seras could suffer the consequences." The elder vampire repeated for the thousandth time. Sebastian sighed and hung his head in disappointment.
"I'll do my best to control myself, but I can't promise you anything." The demon muttered.
