Kaiju Fighters Ch. 51
Outside the park, firefighters have arrived at the scene to control the flames as well as police officers and the paramedics.
Mosura finds herself in the back of an ambulance being tended to by a familiar paramedic.
"That Newt guy isn't going to come and scold me again, is he?" she comments while cleaning the kaiju's wounds.
The guardian lets out a chuckle. "Sorry about that. Dr. Geiszler tends to be passionate about his job."
The medic huffs, "Doesn't mean that he gets to shove a pamphlet in my face."
"Speaking of which," Mosura's eyes wonder to the human's pocket, where she can see the said pamphlet peeking out.
The MT's face starts reddening. "I-it's very informative and I figure that it could help just in case another kaiju needed my assistance!"
"No need to explain yourself. Let me properly introduce myself. I am Mosura Hikari. Guardian of Peace and leader of the Kaiju Fighters."
"I know. You guys have been all over the news for a while now," the medic starts bandaging the cuts. "I'm Asami Hino. A simple paramedic."
"There's nothing simple about that," Mosura tells her. "A paramedic is the first on the scene. Their job is to keep the sick or injured alive until they can get to where they can get the needed help. Out of all the jobs that a human can have, yours is among the most important. That is one of the things I admire most about your kind. You are capable of creating a complex system and executing it near perfectly just to make the lives around you easier."
Hearing this, Asami's face starts feeling warm. She turns to Mosura as she hears the kaiju giggling. "What?"
"Sorry," the moth apologizes. "I just always found it cute how your kind changes color."
That didn't seem to improve the MT's situation. She clears her throat, digs into her pocket, and presents Mosura with a card. "If you need any other medical assistance, you can give me a call sometime. I guess you really don't need it since you have that Newt guy."
Mosura smiles as she accepts the card. "We don't have many allies, and can never have too much help," she then pulls out a card of her own. "And if you need someone to talk to, I tend to be a good listener."
"Thank you. But I wouldn't want to be a bother."
"I hardly ever find the presence of humans a bother, Asami. Many of them tend to pleasant company." Mosura looks over to where she sees Gojira breaking off the bits of crystal wrapped around Kimiko's mouth.
"Why didn't you finish it?" the agent asks.
"I wanted to," Gojira admits as he breaks away the crystal binding her hands. "But I could have sworn I saw Erika not Biollante. What I feel towards Biollante is personal. Just as SpaceGojira was created from my father's DNA, so was she. But I can't let Erika pay for that," he looks away, only to look back up at Kimiko when she gently squeezes his hand who gives her boyfriend a sad smile.
"If Erika is still in there somewhere, we'll save her, Gojira. I know we will."
.oOo.
Back on Planet X, the warriors sent out on the retrieval mission return worse for wear.
The Gyaos remains at X's side, trying to keep the soldier calm as he shields his face from all to see.
"I'll get you another helmet, X," she tells him and goes to stand only to hiss in pain and nearly falls. Luckily, X was fast enough to catch her.
"You alright?" the soldier asks.
"I'll be fine. It just hurts to regrow a whole limb," the albino goes to look at him only for the Space Monster to cower away. She is then startled by the shouting of a familiar voice.
"Gyaos!?" Megaguirus runs to her side as X moves himself further away. The Ancient Insect looks the woman over. "I knew letting you go was a bad idea."
"I'll be fine, my Quean," the Gyaos tries to wave it off. "I-I've been through worse," she looks down, remembering nothing hurts more than when she lost her sister.
"Aw," Megaguirus raises her head and wipes away the tear running down her attendant's face.
Ghidorah walks in on the scene carrying a white helmet. He says nothing about his queen coddling the albino. He expected that no matter how the mission turned out. The King of Terror then sees his science officer, Gigan tending to Megalon who has a damaged gauntlet and cracked armor. He spots his new advisor, Seiza struggling to hold down a green haired woman wanting to get back through the now closed portal. He then notices the cowering X in the corner.
The Space Tyrant walks over to his chosen heir and hands over the helmet. "Here."
X did not hesitate to snatch the helmet and quickly covered his face. "Father," he regains his posture and kneels.
"What happened, X?"
"We found the target," the soldier glances over at Seiza and Biollante. "However, we were not the only ones after her. Your foe was there along with others. We managed to hold them off. Even defeated them. But the one known as Gojira. He somehow got stronger in just a few moments. Had we not retreated then our main objective would have been lost. Forgive me, Father. I deserve any punishment you see fit."
Ghidorah glares at him for a moment. "Where I would have preferred the defeat of my greatest enemy. You at least succeeded in recruiting a new ally."
The Space Dragon walks up to both clones. "You must be Biollante? I've heard great things about you," the plant mutant stops to glare at the dragon. "No need to fear. You are among friends."
"Friends don't kidnap you and take you away from her home planet!" she snaps at him.
The Golden King bows. "My apologies. Had we not taken you away, you would have been hunted down by the Kaiju Fighters and either imprisoned or killed. And for what?" he raised back up. "Merely for existing and wishing to protect the home you love so much. Alas! Until we can claim Terra from the filth of humanity, all I can do is offer you sanctuary on this dead planet."
That last part catches Biollante's attention. "Dead? This planet isn't dead."
.oOo.
The makeshift castle's gates open and out walks Ghidorah, Seiza, X, and Biollante.
"You see?" Ghidorah gestures to the near endless desert before them. "No signs of life. Nothing can truly live here. This is a dying world."
Biollante walks further ahead of them. "Weak," the plant clone says as she leans down and digs her claws into the ground. "But not dying." At that, green grass starts sprouting from around her and a couple of flowers. "She just needs a little help and some nourishment," the patch expands further.
Seiza approaches Ghidorah. "She's more powerful than I thought. If she can terraform this planet, then what need would we have to take Tarra?"
The Dragon growls at him for suggesting such a thing. "It's not about taking Terra. It's the principle. Sure, we could live here, away from the humans. But by doing so, we give up and our enemies would believe that they won. I don't know about you, but I'd rather not lose to Gojira," he turns back to the sight of the flora spreading out. "But you're right about her power. We need to keep her happy. Seiza! See if any of the Simeons are capable of caring for plants. If we show that we care about restoring and maintaining this planet, then perhaps she'll remain on our side," with that, Ghidorah walks away.
The Crystal Invader looks over at the Bio Monster. After a few moments, she collapses from exhaustion. Seiza runs over to lift her up. "Are you alright, Sister?"
At that, Biollante shoves him away and snarls at him. "I am no sister to you. I have no family beyond the flora," she sluggishly walks back into the castle.
Seiza clenches his fist. Not enjoying being rejected by more of his kin.
