Drax stayed in the same room as lopunny. nurse joy was working on her while drax stood close by. as predicted lopunny didnt trust nurse joy but drax trusted her which reasured lopunny.
after lopunny was patched up and returned to her pokeball drax headed back out to the main area. only to be caught by surprise at the sight before him. ash was battling alongside the girl from before. there were two weirdly dressed teenagers that were talking about stealing the pokemon from the pokemon center. hearing this, drax sent out three of his pokemon. lopunny! gyroblast! Vio! we've got a situation! get ready! the delta lopunny, gyroblast and gallade all materialized and got ready to battle. "the target is the ekans! vio use psycho cut! lopunny sand strike! gyroblast ballistic barrage!" vio reached the ekans first and slamed one of his arm blades into ekans' side at the same time lopunny landed a drop kick with sand surrounding his legs on ekans face. gyroblast unleash mulitple shots from his gatling guns and arm cannon when the two cleared the area. when the dust cleared, ekans was unconcious and the two crooks and two kids looked in shock. "hey, you cant interfere with a battle!" the red headed girl shouted. "shut it kid. this isnt an official battle. these are to criminals trying to steal injured pokemon." drax snapped. "if ye be so concerned fer the rules then ye should let the pros handle it." said vio. his accent was that of a pirate. "seriously, dude whats with the accent?" said gyroblast. "yeah, you didnt even have it when you were a kirlia." said lopunny. "shut it! me accent be glorious!" vio exclaimed. "How dare you team up on my dear ekans!" shouted the pink haired teen. "yeah, dontcha know da rules of pokemon battlin!" said the meowth standing between the teens. "thats what your concerned about?!" said the lavender hair guy. "not the three talking pokemon that we've never seen?" drax stared at the three. "that meowth just talked." he said. "WE TALK!!" the three of his pokemon shouted. "yeah but i know he didnt take a serum!" drax said pointing to the cat pokemon. "We're getting off track here!" shouted pikachu. "right! pikachu use thundershock!" shouted ash pikachu jumped into the air and sent a powerful thundershock at the three. an explosion followed, sending the three and their pokemon far away into the sky. "team rocket's blasting off!" the three screamed in the distance. the group just stared at where the three were last seen. "did we just commit a murder?" asked pikachu. "dont be dragin us into this! that was all you!" said lopunny pointing at pikachu.
after the rather strange event the group had, drax went out back to let out his team. he swapped his teams around so all of them could be out at the same time. imediately the alpha lopunny was at drax's side. arms folded and glaring at anyone that wasnt part of the traveling party to warn them to stay away. the traveling party was her territory now. and she'd protect it with her life. snorunt stuck around zorua since she was the only one around her size. meanwhile hisuian zorua was over by ash. unfortunately he wasnt close enough to drax to be translated. "sorry zorua. i dont understand you." ash said. "hes asking why you havent caught him yet." said pikachu. "you want to join my team zorua?" asked ash excitedly. "why do you think i jumped into view of the professer when he brought up you catching pokemon?" he said before turning around, realizing drax had gotten closer. he wasnt looking in their direction but had moved closer so zorua could communicate with ash easier. "anyway, pull out a ball! catch me!" said zorua. ash did so lightly tapping the pokemon with the ball and instantly capturing him. he let himself out of the ball a second later. "thats uncomfortable." he said.
drax watched the interaction from where he was. the alpha lopunny was close by. serveying the area. "i wonder what those purple dome things are? some kind of wormhole? whatever they are they're pulling pokemon from this hisui place and placing them in kanto." drax thought. a golden ring was above the group but unseen by them. a white pokemon wth a golden ring around its middle was looking through it. chuckling to itself while watching its favorite source of entertainment. "want me to drop something else on him my lord?" asked a smaller pokemon with more golden hoops aroumd his horns. "not yet." said the larger pokemon. "he's been messed with enough for today." a god needed a way to find amusement. one couldn't waste all that amusment in one day.

the next day, ash was doing some training in the forest. they had left the pokemon center and were on the way to Pewter City. drax had taken to helping ash wth training. helping ash teach his pokemon moves that'd be useful against rock types. he started by teaching pikachu surf, iron tail, and dig. surf could be learned by any pokemon that could swim. so pikachu should be able to learn it. the only thing he was annoyed by was the red head that was still following them. "you arent doing a good job hiding, you know." drax said as the girl winced. "i-im just making sure you're doing your training right." she said. "right because a brat who sends a goldeen to fight to lamd pokemon without any water nearby knows how to train pokemon." drax said sarcasticly. the girl turned red at this. "i was just warming up!" she said. "well your warming up must've dried up all the water." he said. "so far, you've done nothing but spy on us. im far more experienced and know exactly what im doing. i dont need some egotistical brat around to tell me how to do shit." drax finished. the girl was about to speak up but ash interupted her. "hey, a caterpie!" he exclaimed. the girl shrieked like a banshee and began looking around. "keep it away! keep it away! where is it!" the caterpie, which was on a nearby, tree heard this and looked in her direction. "whats wrong with a caterpie?" asked ash. "its a bug! and bugs are one of the three most discusting things in the world!" she screamed. "you mean aside from you?" both drax and ash said simultaniously. "she's mean." said the caterpie. "just ignore her caterpie." said ash. "clearly some people dont know the golden rule." said drax. "that rule doesn't apply to bugs!" the redhead screamed. one of drax's pokeballs opened as the alpha lopunny came out. "i suppose that the golden rule doesnt apply to rodents either." she said flexing her claws. the girl wimpered and scooted back further. "leave her, titana." drax said. "she's not worth it." the alpha lopunny, now named titana, marched over to drax and stood next to him like a bodyguard. "you gave her a nickname?" asked ash. "i have two lopunny. i cant kee calling them both lopunny. the other one is called shatter." drax answered. "anyway, i dont think youre discusting caterpie." said ash. "why dont you join me? we can help you get stronger!" caterpie looked intrigued at that, but told ash he'd think about it. ash was fine with that and caterpie (and the annoying red head) acompanied them on their journey while making a decision.
ash eventually convinced caterpie to join him. and the group finally arrived at pewter. the group was still being followed by the red head who drax couldnt bother to learn the name of. they met a guy selling rocks but weren't really interested. they eventually made it to the gym. "you ready?" asked drax. ash took a deep breath. "lets do this." ash said with a determined glare. he reached forward and pushed the door open.
and thats this chapter done. drax doesnt really like misty all that much and ash is a lot stronger then in cannon. he'll have a slightly different team as well. as for misty unlike in cannon she still has her bike but is following them due to being suspisous of drax. ash is less cocky in this story and is going to be mentored by drax. they will slso be visiting the regions in a different order but the same stuff will still play out for the most part.
