Chapter 2: Amity Park
Danny brought his friends to his parents' lab. Jimmy was most impressed by the equipment.
Jimmy: Fascinating. This looks like Ghost-Hunting equipment. Did you make this stuff yourself?
Danny: Uh, no. My parents are the Ghost-Technology wizards. Heh, not me.
Timmy: Your parents? Are they the freaky couple Vlad has trapped in his throne room?
Michelangelo: We gotta rescue them. Vlad has no right to hold them against their will.
Danny: We can't. Vlad said his portal is feeding him ghost energy. We'd be fighting a losing battle as long as it's on.
Jimmy walked over and picked up some of the ghost-hunting gear.
Jimmy: If I spend some time studying these devices, I might be able to build a gadget to defeat Vlad.
Cosmo poofed out of Timmy's backpack.
Cosmo: This is no time to be studying.
Timmy: (Spinning one of his Star Blasters on his finger) Yeah, we're heroes. Heroes don't just sit around and study.
SpongeBob: You're right. Heroes go out and save the world.
Michelangelo: And Danny knows the device's working better than us. He can probably tell us how to shut down.
Danny: Alright, we'll figure out a plan once we get to Vlad's castle.
Everyone ran up the stairs and out of Danny's house. All around Amity Park, not a single person was around.
Michelangelo: (Spinning a nunchucks) I don't like this.
Timmy: (Aiming blasters) It's as quiet as a cemetery.
A small green ghost crept up from behind and grabbed SpongeBob.
SpongeBob: GUYS!
The others saw SpongeBob get dragged into an alleyway and ran to rescue him.
Timmy: (Trying to aim as SpongeBob struggled to get free) I can't shoot.
Michelangelo grabbed Timmy and threw him overhead and Timmy nailed the Ghost. This allowed SpongeBob to karate chop the Ghost to the wall, turning it into goo.
Timmy: I wish I could land safely.
A wave of his fairies' wands and Timmy landed on a mattress.
Timmy: That normal for ghosts?
Danny: No, Vlad must be absorbing so much energy from his portal, that the ghosts coming through are unstable.
Jimmy: Must be a bio-energy feedback consequence.
Suddenly, more ghosts appeared from all sides and started firing ecto-blasts at the heroes. Thinking quickly, Michelangelo grabbed a nearby trash can lid.
Michelangelo: (Throwing it at the Ghosts blocking the exit) THIS WAY!
The lid hit the Ghosts and they turned to goo as the heroes ran by.
Jimmy: We got find a place to hold up to fight on our terms.
Danny: I know the place. Follow me.
Danny led his friends to the Nasty Burger restaurant. After phasing through the door and unlocking it, the heroes got ready for an attack. Strangely, SpongeBob brought out a bottle of bubble soap.
Michelangelo: You need to rehydrate, buddy?
SpongeBob: No, Jimmy's Moisture Spray has me covered on that.
As Ghosts rushed up to the restaurant, SpongeBob blew a bubble in the shape of a ball bomb and threw it at the Ghosts. It exploded and turned plenty of Ghosts to goo.
Timmy: I wish we had a giant slingshot!
Wanda raised her wand and turned her husband into Timmy's wish.
Timmy: SpongeBob, keep blowing bubble bombs! Jimmy, give me the ammo as they come! Danny and Mikey, cover me!
Boys: Right!
Timmy's plan started working well as the bombs kept thinning out Vlad's Ghosts. They were almost thin enough for them to make a break for Vlad's castle when a big, dark blue robot on a wheel rolled up. It brought out a trident as it rolled up to the restaurant. Timmy fired bombs at it but its tough armor made them bounce off it harmlessly.
Michelangelo: Danny, you with me on junking that thing?
Danny: I'm game, Mikey.
The duo rushed at the robot and threw punches at it. The robot swatted Danny away and brought its trident down at Michelangelo. Thinking quickly, Michelangelo wrapped one of his nunchucks around it and struggled to hold it away from him.
Timmy: Mikey needs us!
SpongeBob used every ounce breath he had and blew a big bomb.
Jimmy: (Carrying it) Study… Study.
Timmy took it and started to aim it at the robot. Danny got up and saw it being prepared. Danny tracked it as it launched and blasted it as it hit the robot. The impact threw the robot back and made it lose its trident.
Michelangelo: (Spinning the trident) Cowabunga!
Mikey threw and nailed the robot right in the head. It fell down, completely destroyed.
Danny: Great shot, Mikey.
Jimmy, Timmy, and SpongeBob ran up to the others.
Jimmy: By my calculations, that should be all the forces Vlad would commit to the town.
SpongeBob: Hooray! Amity Park is a Ghost-Free Zone!
Michelangelo: Don't celebrate yet. We still have the big ghost leading here.
Danny: Let's close his portal for good.
Danny led his friends to Vlad's castle.
