It was now nighttime over at the Greater Los Angeles with the dark sky containing stars lighting up while the moon views over the whole view of Earth in it's cycle.
We view over what is going on at it in the front of the shop in the greater Los Angeles, but it shows up a thief that turns out to be none other than...Joe Boarson!
He was holding a phone while carrying a gun on his hand as he robbed money from the cashier all while wearing a thief mask.
"And you keep them up. Got that? And don't let me catch you calling the cops." Joe warned at the cashier
But suddenly, a stretched lizard tongue was tying around Joe's arms.
"What? Not again."
Joe is pulled to the roof by someone that is an unknown vigilante wearing a black hooded jumpsuit with a blue helmet mask that has glass over the face along with two headlights on the top of head. The vigilante was known as, 'Night Dragon'
BANG*
Joe gets hit on the door as he gets to the floor but looks at a vigilante.
"Oh no..."
The vigilante jumps and lands on the floor of the roof he threw Joe at.
"Didn't I take care of you last week?" The vigilante asked
Joe crawls backwards in fear upon seeing the vigilante walking close to him.
"Hey. Oh, no. Come on, now. Wait." Joe stammers
The Night Dragon grabs Joe by the neck of the shirt.
"I'm very disappointed in you, knucklehead. Guess the night school's in session."
The whistle his attention. He looks over and sees Mr. Wolf, wearing the same black jumpsuit he wore (the same one from the movie) when he used to make an attempt to steal the Golden Dolphin and when he and Diane sneak into Marmalade's house and later again to save Jet from being kidnapped.
"Hope I'm not disturbing class. Hey, Night Dragon, need any teaching assistants?" Wolf asked
"Oh, no. Wolf. I got this one covered, pal. Thanks, but no thanks."
Night Dragon punches Joe in the nose from behind which caused him to faint.
"You think own these rooftops? I happen to think you could use my help. And I could use a sidekick. You may have everyone else fooled, but you haven't fooled me, Zero."
The lizard tongue suddenly stretched at a grappling gun from Wolf's utility belt that has gadgets and immediately gets pulled by Night Dragon.
"Yeah, well, guess what, pal. Now you- Hey, wait a minute. *sigh* How did you know it was me?" Night Dragon asked as he dropped the grappling gun and was about to take the hood off before taking the helmet off.
"Wasn't that hard, man. You know you look like a big, metal lizard." Wolf said
Night Dragon removes the helmet and it reveals to be...Zero Gexter!
"It's that obvious, huh?" Zero said
The grunting sounds from Joe caught Wolf's attention and Zero looks back as he noticed him trying to climb up the wall.
"I should've stayed in law school." Joe said to himself
"Aww, ain't that cute? He's trying to get away." Wolf said watching Joe
Zero and Wolf looked at each other and they nod their heads as of an agreement was sealed in, and Zero puts his helmet back on before putting the hoodie back up.
"Well, looks like I got a sidekick."
"Yeah, right. You're the sidekick." Zero replied
We view the people (which are humans and anthro animals) of Los Angeles who happen to be watching three thieves which are Joe Boarson, Vladikoff Battler, and Jose Catsico, from whom they know as the bad guys who always steals things, hanging on the light post all tied up of lizard tongue that is from Night Dragon while the police car was on its way to the scene.
"What, is it performance art? I don't get it." A human man said
"What was I supposed to do...sit around, let everything get all hurt and bad with those criminals happen to be stealing money or some essential items? I mean, come on, I have changed now since I used to be a bad guy with Simon and Bob but now we've changed after realizing a few things of what being a bad guy is and being good changes everything now and then. You think these lowlifes take vacations at the first sign of pressure? No. The criminal element of this city may be guilty of a lot of things but being quitters ain't one of them." Zero explained as he puts his helmet on his own duffle bag filled with the hooded jumpsuit he wores.
"You know, I still care about my friends, even Jet and Diane. I just hope those guys won't ever attempt to steal him after all the rough time he went through with that no good Marmalade."
"Come on, I can assure you Jet won't get kidnapped. He's safe with Diane, and maybe the rest of us, even the gang." Wolf assured Zero
"Yeah, I know. But, it's possible. I guess if I could live anywhere other than the city, I'd go too. But I could never leave this place. I can't even leave my best friends, especially Liz. And I can't leave you and the others, even Diane and Jet." Zero said
"I'm not trying to tell you what to do. I'm just saying, if I had something going on with Jet, I'd find a way to work it out with him. But that's just me. I got my own issues, you know? Like back at the hideout, with Snake and the others, or maybe Diane. There's this whole thing about settling down that makes me miss the old times. I don't know if I can be the grownup she needs me to be." Wolf explained
However, Wolf notices that Zero disappeared without a word but left out a note that says, 'I'm off to my home with the others. See ya later, Wolf.', along with a wink on a smile he drew.
"*sighs* Good talk, Zero." Wolf said
End of chapter 12
Author's note:Hello everyone! I have drawn inspiration from TMNT (2007) for this chapter, particularly with the Nightwatcher scene but where Casey appears and helps Raph out to stop the thief, so I emulated with Zero was a vigilante known as the 'Night Dragon' and where Mr. Wolf comes in and helps him and the discussion. I hope you guys like this chapter, and I'll see you in the next chapter soon! ;)
