The journey across the ocean had been long, the boat creaking and groaning as it battled against the waves, but for Rei, the real storm raged within her mind. As the distant silhouette of Konoha's walls began to emerge on the horizon, a flood of memories from her time in the village washed over her. She thought of the Chuunin Exams—of the trials, the battles, and the faces of the competitors who had pushed her to her limits, especially Yami. Their fight in the exams had been reckless, they had hurt others, and they had shown a level of power that was... unsettling. But what was more troubling was the thought of whether Konoha would see them as threats or as allies now.

She wasn't sure. After everything that had happened, after the battles they'd fought and the enemies they'd made, would Konoha still offer them help? Would they recognize the good Yami had done, especially when he had saved the village from Gaara's rampage? Or would they see them as dangerous rogue ninjas who had the potential to bring destruction?

Rei was lost in thought as the boat finally docked at the shores of the Land of Fire. Her silver hair was slightly tousled by the wind, her cloak swishing behind her as she stepped off the boat, her heart pounding in her chest. She had been to Konoha once before, but this time felt different. This time, she wasn't just a visitor. She was seeking something—something bigger than herself.

Killer B walked beside her, his presence a reassuring force as he led her through the village gates. The towering walls of Konoha loomed over them, a symbol of strength and unity. But as they passed through the bustling streets, Rei's gaze lingered on the faces of the villagers. She wondered if any of them recognized her, if they remembered the girl who had fought in the exams, the girl who had been one of the top competitors—and one of the most dangerous.

The two were escorted swiftly through the village, past the familiar sights of the Hokage's Monument and the bustling market square, until they arrived at the towering Hokage residence. B nodded to her, a silent assurance that everything was going according to plan. When they were finally ushered into the Hokage's office, Rei felt her nerves begin to rise. Tsunade—the 5th Hokage—sat behind her desk, her stern yet compassionate eyes focusing on the two of them.

B spoke first, recounting the journey and the mission they were on, his words flowing easily as he explained Yami's imprisonment and the need for help. Tsunade listened intently, her sharp gaze never leaving B as she processed the information.

Once B finished speaking, Tsunade turned her eyes toward Rei, her gaze softening slightly as she spoke. "And what about you, Rei? What is your part in this? Why seek help from Konoha?"

Rei inhaled deeply, her heart racing. She had never been one to openly share her feelings or her past, but now, for the sake of Yami and her future, she knew she had to speak. "I... I came here because I need your help. My clan... they wanted to force me into a marriage with a man I hated, a man who tried to control me. And... and Yami saved me from him." She paused, gathering her thoughts as she began to reveal more. "But that wasn't the only reason. After everything that happened, after the Chuunin Exams, after the pain I've seen and caused... I don't want to be a part of the system anymore. I can't go back to Enraoi. Yami saved me. He helped this village when Gaara attacked. He deserves to be free. I want to free him."

Tsunade's brow furrowed as she listened. There was a rawness in Rei's voice—an honesty that Tsunade appreciated. The young woman was clearly torn, her heart heavy with the weight of her past actions and the consequences they had brought.

"Gaara," Tsunade mused, the name lingering in the air. "Yes, I remember. Your Yami was instrumental in stopping Gaara when he was rampaging. I'm aware of the impact he had on Konoha, and it's true that he saved many lives that day." Her tone became serious as she leaned forward. "But what you're asking for isn't easy, Rei. Not just anyone can gain the trust of Konoha after everything that's happened. You two are considered rogue ninjas in the eyes of many, and Yami's actions haven't exactly gone unnoticed."

Rei nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation. But there was one thing she had to mention, one thing that might change everything. "When we fought in the Chuunin Exams, there were three names that stood out to Yami," she said, her voice steady now. "Naruto Uzumaki, Neji Hyuga, and Rock Lee. They were his competitors. And even now, after everything that's happened, I think he respects them... maybe even looks up to them in a way." She glanced down for a moment before adding softly, "I know they could help."

Tsunade's eyes narrowed slightly as she processed the names. "Naruto, Neji, Lee," she muttered, her fingers tapping against the desk as she thought. The mention of these three names, the three young shinobi who had proven themselves in the Exams, was enough to capture her attention. "You're right," Tsunade continued, her voice gaining strength. "Naruto, Neji, and Lee have earned the village's trust. They're good men, and they're strong. If you believe they could help Yami, I will call on them."

Tsunade stood and walked over to the window, looking out over the village. "I'll also bring in Kakashi Hatake, Jiraiya of the Sannin, and Shino Aburame. All of them have experience in dealing with rogue shinobi and situations like this." She turned back to face Rei. "If we're going to help you and your Yami, we need to be sure that we're not opening a door to even greater problems. But if you truly believe that these three can help, I will give them the chance."

Rei looked up at Tsunade, her eyes wide with hope. "You'll help us?"

Tsunade nodded firmly. "I will. But you have to understand, this isn't going to be easy. Yami's actions have consequences, and he'll need to earn the trust of this village once again. But we'll help you, Rei. We'll fight alongside you to bring him back."

The words hung in the air, heavy with the promise of something greater. Rei's heart swelled with relief, though she knew the battle was far from over. But for the first time in a long time, she felt as if there was hope on the horizon.

As Tsunade called for Naruto, Neji, Lee, Kakashi, Jiraiya, and Shino to join them, Rei couldn't help but feel that the pieces were falling into place. Her journey had led her here, to Konoha, to the people who might be able to save Yami. And with the help of these shinobi, maybe—just maybe—they could free him from the prison that had held him captive for so long.

But she knew one thing for certain: this was only the beginning.
