Hello to all, this is Chapter 30 of the fifth and final Arc of Volume 6: Pain and Hatred!
Intro: The Earth... is a great place where humanity and all other creatures live and learn to evolve little by little, but this great world has Darkness in it too. Evil beings who wish to conquer this world and everyone.
Only one being stood against them to show everyone the power of light and hope, but this great mythical dragon wasn't able to stop them. He gave his powers and hope to a human that was known by his name, the Dragon Knight!
Before this hero also met his end, he gave the legendary Dragon Sword and his hopes and dreams to the next knight, his youngest son who is destined to become a legend by the sides of his comrades and his love. This hero... is the Dragon Knight of Light!

Volume 6: Chapter 30: To be Believed! The Tale of the Gutsy Ninja!
In the previous episode of DKR:
Judai, Alicia, Kurosaki, Taichi, Team RWBY and Naruto finally engaged the terrifying Pain and his Paths of Pain. The fight was annoying as the Paths are much more movable and quick on their feet but thanks to the extra numbers and also Sage Mode, Naruto managed with the help of everyone to dispose of the Paths. However, Deva Pain had an ace-in-the-hole which he uses to gain access to the other Path's abilities, limited, along with his full Deva powers. He easily disposed of the group, crushing and paralyzing them including Naruto.
Seemingly having won their fight, Pain discussed with Naruto of their opposing philosophies and Naruto was in the defeated part of the discussion. Pain now prepared to take Naruto until Hinata appeared, alone, to protect the person who inspired her. It was a losing battle for her but she refused to give up on him, expressing her feelings to Naruto. Unfazed, awe and annoyed of her; Pain delivers a swift blow. This broke Naruto and the Kyuubi awakens, unleashed filled with nothing but destruction and hate.
Is there any hope now?
And now the conclusion... last left off:
Grunting, the others that were tossed aside by Pain's Shinra Tensei were protected by Greymon from Taichi's orders who managed to move with whatever strength to tank the attack.
''T-thanks Taichi.'' Ruby thanks the young kid's quick thinking. Taichi chuckles as he turns to Agumon who reverts back to base, luckily not Koromon.
''Heh, sure but Greymon too. And also, that's all Agumon can do right now.'' He expresses with a small smile while Agumon growls weakly, uttering out as he lays on the ground from his back. ''Too… hungry.''
Alicia stands up, breathing heavily yet madly at Pain and his cruelty. She frowns, gripping on her lance and declares determinedly. ''I'm done being nice with him.''
Kurosaki manifests his Hollow Mask, responding just as annoyed. ''Same. Let's-''
His words are cut off as the ground and world around them shakes violently and then they see a dark red pillar of energy shooting upward in the air.
''W-what the hell is this?!'' Yang utters, actually unease by this power that even her confidence can't calm her nerves.
''I-I don't know…'' Blake utters dreaded by this sensation of this poisonous power spreading across the air.
Ruby watches, gripping her scythe though shaking. She shakes her head, not able to run away when she can still do more.
''Come on!'' She declares determinedly, dashing forward. Kurosaki panics as he runs after her. Alicia turns to the rest of Team RWBY and Taichi, telling them. ''You guys stay here!''
''You don't have to tell us twice.'' Weiss utters out with a trembling voice, trying to act calm. Alicia nods as she runs after them.
The three run as fast as possible to see Judai with a terrified expression.
''W-what's happening, Judai!'' Alicia calls out to him as he doesn't say anything, simply looking at a direction. They then look at what he's looking at and see in shock that Pain is engaging the berserk Fourth Tailed Naruto, howling and yelling like a beast unleashed.
''I-Is that Naruto?'' Ruby asks, shocked to see another becoming this horrifying monster. Alicia frowns, now getting what Yugi meant about the untamed power Naruto has.
''C-can we save him?'' Kurosaki asks Judai, not going to let their friend remain like this. The hero duelist nods, having sort of done it once but there's a problem. ''I need to get up close to him.''
Easiest thing possible as this Naruto is smacking and punching Deva Pain around like a looney tune character, even slamming a piece of ground on top of his head over and over and over again until only his head is sticking out from the ground. This would have killed any normal human but not Pain who adjusts his eyes and asks once more. ''Do you hate me?''
The berserk Jinchuuriki just howls more, power coursing through him. Pain pulls himself out of the ground with his telekinesis, landing on the ground from his feet.
''Do you still think people can truly understand one another?'' Pain questions him which only enrages Naruto as his form changes. On top of growing two extra tails, skeleton-like resembling a fox forms over the berserk Naruto, like armor.
This answers Pain's question, however…
''But know this…'' Beginning to utter out as his Rinnegan eyes shake as Pain bends and flexes his arms to his side waist as he extends and swings his right arm towards the ground, screaming. ''My pain is FAR greater than YOURS!''
He punches the ground and releases a burst of water from across the platforms of earth till the whole area is consumed in a large lake. Kurosaki grunts, forced to carry the three with his arms or legs. He flies them to where Hinata is, surprised even as a berserk monster; Naruto is pushing the fight away from her and what remains of Konoha.
They watch from a distance as the fight is still raging on with Naruto shooting out mini Tailed Beast Bombs that Pain repels with Shinra Tensei like a sniper, extending his arms to block each shot.
The others watch as they worry the longer they let this fight hold out, it might cause Naruto to grow more tails; another warning Yugi told them about.
''Alright, Judai and I-'' Ichigo begins making the executive decision only for Alicia to correct him, butting right in front of him. ''Judai, you and I! All three of us-''
''FOUR OF US!'' Now Ruby butts in angrily. Kurosaki immediately points panicking at the fight happening as Tailed Beast Naruto is manifesting dozens of its chakra arms at Pain who dodges around them, barely evading them before one punches him with such force into the lake that the Rinnegan user created.
''SEE THAT FIGHT HAPPENING OVER THERE!'' Ichigo yells at her, acting like a big brother as he doesn't want her to be near any of those kinds of fights. Ruby, however, already has as she can't- No, she won't let any of her friends get hurt when she can do something.
''… I want to help our friend.'' She affirms her decision, giving him a determined gaze.
''…'' Kurosaki stares back silently at her, still wearing his Hollow Mask, but it didn't faze Ruby. She's seen and experienced stuff that most if not any young hunters would ever see in their early careers. She's fought beside those who fight for others, who overcome such odds and she's never felt this sense of pride to stand beside them. She feels joy to stand beside them, to learn from them and become just as strong as them. That's why she won't walk away when 1 of her many friends is not himself or herself. She can't… she won't… lose someone special if she can't do something about it.
Seeing her stubborn resolve, Kurosaki ultimately sighs before he turns his back to her. She grunts, not believing he's-
''Hop on my back, Ruby.'' The dark red haired blinks at the spiky orange head raising his free arm and pointing at his back with his dumb, even leaning his back so she can ride on him. Ruby slowly smiles as she hopes on his back. Kurosaki sighs as he takes flight while Alicia and Judai run up close to the lake.
They watch as Pain is using the Asura Path's missiles, blasting upon the 6th Tailed but it resists. Pain performs the summoning of the massive rhino, charging at the berserk Jinchuuriki but he simply slams a Chakra arm through the creature, exploding it away.
''Holy…'' Ruby utters in shock with Kurosaki agreeing, thinking Naruto has a lot of power like this and destructive, more like a Hollow.
Suddenly, the necklace that Naruto wears activated to restrain the Nine-Tails chakra. Pain uses this chance to get close; going to attempt to absorb his Chakra. However, the berserk Naruto grabs onto it and squeezes tightly until his sheer force shatters the green necklace.
Pain has reacted too slowly as the 6th Tailed leaps at him but he quickly repels him with his signature technique. ''SHINRA TENSEI!'' The invisible barrier manifests and repels the water around him like a geyser. Its sheer force pushes the berserk Kyuubi monster back… for a moment before Naruto begins to resist to Pain's surprise. It then begins peeling through his ability to his horror.
''Impossible… He withstood my Shinra Tensei?!'' Pain questions in dismay. He tries ripping his soul but the Chakra is too gritty to peel through. Soon the berserk Naruto swipes him with such force that he flings the Akatsuki Leader through the air, crashing and dragging across the ground before getting smashed through rock boulders and platforms and finally crashing hit first into a large rock wall, head first. His body becomes limp as he drops onto the ground and debris of rock falls on top of him.
Now he began charging up energy, forming a Tailed Beast Bomb in front of his wide mouth as it grew a bit bigger. It was fully charged until Pain emerged from the rubber with his arm up and shouted. ''BANSHO TENIN!'' A massive piece of rock rises up and is thrown downward at the berserk Naruto, crashing and setting off the attack, exploding like a nuke. Everyone is forced to brace themselves as Pain is pushed downward by the radius of the explosion.
''WAAA!'' Ruby screams as Kurosaki protects the two with his Spiritual Energy while Alicia protests herself and Judai with his shield. They manage to outlive the explosion as did the Berserk Naruto, howling monstrously.
''… Screw it.'' Kurosaki begins to proclaim, not going to stand around anymore as he descends fast to land next to the others and tells them. ''I'm going to engage him and get him away from here!''
''Same! Judai, we'll give you a chance to do your thing.'' Alicia declares too as she smiles at Judai. He nods as he eyes Ruby. ''Ruby, I need your help for my part. Mostly your speed.''
''R-right!'' Getting off Kurosaki's back, Ruby agrees. Kurosaki and Alicia nod as they charge forward at their berserk comrade while the Substitute Shinigami shouts, flying at top speed at him. ''HEY!''
The 6th Tailed turns around and it's slashed across the chest by Ichigo's blade followed by Alicia blasting him with a torrent of blue flames. It sends the berserk Jinchuuriki through boulders and debris. It manages to slam and grind his arms and legs onto the ground on all fours before turning at the two. It then howls, manifesting extra arms that are extended and launched at them as well as all of its tails too. Kurosaki dashes forward, evading around the arms and tails while Alicia blocks against them with a shield. She then thrusts and slashes through them with her lance while Kurosaki swings and fires a Getsuga as the berserk Naruto fires a Tailed Beast Bomb. The two attacks collide and explode on impact.
Judai and Alicia brace themselves, not noticing the Deva Path emerging from the ground. His Akatsuki robes are nearly torn apart on one side of his body resembling a Hindu monk's robes and his headband is gone.
''The Power of the Kyuubi…'' Standing up almost unfazed, Pain watches as the berserk Naruto shoots out multiple Tailed Beast Bombs into the air as they rain down like meteors. Alicia repels them with a burst of blue flames just barely.
''How magnificent.'' Pain expresses before he leaps off, actually running away. Ruby notices him running as she takes aim and fires sniper shots that Pain evades with ease. The berserk Naruto spots him and immediately ignores both Kurosaki and Alicia as he purses after Pain.
''Wait, Naruto!'' Judai calls out to him but the berserk Jinchuuriki just runs off. Ruby grabs him by his hand and dashes with her Semblance while Kurosaki grabs Alicia and flies off with her. They're chasing after the fast Jinchuuriki as Pain is leaning him deep away from Konoha into one of its forests.
''Why is he leading him away?'' Alicia questions while Kurosaki grunts, not liking this.
Soon Pain manages to escape Naruto's sight as he roars and turns, shooting Tailed Beast Bombs at the group behind him. They barely dodge them, especially Ruby, yelling out in terror. Kurosaki quickly puts Alicia on the ground before charging and ramming his blade across Naruto, crashing and pinning him to the side of a rocky wall.
''GET A HOLD OF YOURSELF!'' He yells angrily at him as Naruto just roars, trying to bite him but he gut-punches him over and over. Ichigo reflects on the monster he too became and almost killed everyone if not for Haruto.
''You and the others risk your lives to save me and now I can't, I refuse to let you guys down!''
Naruto just howls, blasting the Substitute Shinigami back as he breathes out another rapid Tailed Beast Bomb at him until he's guarded by Alicia's shield.
''You forget but we're here too!'' She lectures the orange spiky hair, not wanting him to feel responsible for everything and doing it himself. ''Stop acting like you can carry all of this alone! As long as you have friends, don't fight alone!''
Kurosaki startles from his eyes, taking a moment to reflect and admit she's not wrong. He soon gets up, standing beside her as he finally declares. ''… Let's go, Alicia!''
Alicia smiles as the two charge forward as she fires multiple Blue Flames. The berserk Naruto just roars, blasting the flames away but not Kurosaki coming downward and slashes across him again. It staggers the beast as he's then impaled by Alicia's lance, slamming him to the side as Kurosaki charges with both hands on his blade and Spiritual Energy erupting from it.
''GETSUGA TENSHO!'' He shouts, swinging his blade as Alicia also shouts, aiming her lance already erupting blue flames. ''BLUE FLAME!'' He fires a massive tidal wave of black-red spiritual energy waves at one side of the berserk Naruto while the other is consumed by Alicia's raging particle flames.
Judai and Ruby watch from their end, seeing the combination of the two attacks resembling a twister. This damages the 6TH Tailed as Judai tells the huntress, grabbing her hand. ''Ruby, now!''
Ruby nods as she dashes with her Semblance with Judai gripping on her to reach him. However, Pain has finished charging up for his ace-in-the-hole and sees this as his only chance.
''Now!'' Emerging his hand up from behind multiple crowded trees, Pain sends off a small black glowing orb with white outline glow up in the air before a Tailed Beast Bomb hits the hide spot of Pain who quickly evades by emerging out. Clapping his hands together, he shouts out his trump card. ''CHIBAKU TENSEI!''
Ruby stops to see the Akatsuki leader and then the black orb.
''The heck is-'' Judai utters, never seeing that before until, suddenly, the ground around them trembles as pieces of earth literally pull themselves out of the ground and float up towards the small orb, collecting them like it was a black hole.
''WAA!'' Ruby screams as she dashes away with Judai only for them to still be pulled into the orb by the peeling ground. Pain spreads his arms apart, focusing his power as more earth is torn out of the ground. Trees, rocks, anything is being sucked towards the growing sphere of rock.
''Crap-crap!'' Kurosaki yells out in horror as he stops his engagements with Naruto as the ground splits them apart. Alicia tries getting away fast, panicking. ''WE'RE BEING SUCKED IN!''
The berserk Naruto now attacks Pain with laser beam mouth blasts that Pain deflects before he lets out a painful shout along with a painful, gritting expression as he slaps and clenches his hands together. More of the ground comes off as the force of the forming rock pieces is too much for Ruby and screams as she and Judai are pulled towards it.
''Judai, Ruby!'' Alicia shouts in horror, too worried to hit the growing earth sphere with her friends being pulled. Kurosaki quickly flies and grabs onto Alicia as he blasts himself at full force towards the other two all while the berserk Naruto continues rapid firing miniature Tailed Beast Bomb at the growing sphere, pieces blasting off but more refilling itself. He pushes through the gravitational pull and reaches Judai and Ruby only for a larger piece of ground to manifest behind him and slams them all into the sphere along with the berserk Naruto. Judai panics, reaching his arm out to Naruto as they're about to be slammed into the surface of the sphere.
''I DON'T WANT TO DIE LIKE THIS!'' Ruby screams as her yells are silent and the whole group is entrapped.
Once completed, the sphere now resembles almost like a miniature moon up in the sky. Deva Pain breathes heavily, looking at the small planetoid in the sky.
''It's…'' He begins to express as he sounds relief. ''Finally over.'' He has finally captured the Kyuubi. Now to take him to the Gedo Mezo and extract the Tailed Beast. Then his dream-
Suddenly red cracks glow through the miniature moon before flames erupt from them… followed by massive dark crimson fox tails. Pain watches in dismay as what emerges is a furless version of the Kyuubi, shrieking as it breathes down flames upon the ground.
''…'' Deva Pain stares as his lips begin to bleed, fearing he's reached his limit.
Ruby gasps, opening her eyes as she looks around her to see the others beside her and they're in some kind of damp prison-like place. She touches herself, breathing the relief that they're alive.
''W-where the heck…'' Alicia utters, looking around puzzled. Ichigo isn't sure why but he feels like this place is similar to his Inner World. In fact, he also feels like he's not here and yet he is.
''Phew, close call.'' Judai proclaims with a small smirk, thinking he wouldn't reach him but thanks to the large rock, he was able to not just grab onto Naruto but also the others; pulling all of them into the Kyuubi's seal dimension. ''Grabbed onto Naruto and manage to pull all of you inside the cage of the giant fox.''
''H-How do you do-'' Alicia begins to question how Judai even manages to do something so crazy-like and he answers with a grin. ''Yubel- Well Yubel and Haou's powers. Really difficult to explain. And that's not the problem though.''
He now points as the group stares and startled to see Naruto, slowly approaching a large cage seal and whatever is inside is filled with hate.
''Naruto!'' Ruby yells smiling, running up towards him but he never turns as the others can't see the expression of lost despair across his face. But before she could reach him, a large orange fox tail slides and slams itself, nearly flattening her if she doesn't dodge it.
''DO NOT MEDDLE!'' The howls of the Nine-Tails echo across the room as more tails shoot out to attack the group who barely dodges them.
''Is that-'' Kurosaki begins to ask as Judai nods. ''The Kyuubi.''
The Tailed Beast's face is revealed, poking through the darkness of his cage as he roars furiously.
''I WILL NOT TOLERATE YOU TO INTERFERE AGAIN!'' Kyuubi howls at Judai, recalling the time Naruto was about to give in during the fight against Deep Blue. Judai gets mad as he tries to reason with the giant fox demon. ''If you do this, then Naruto will die! Do you-''
''LIKE I CARE!'' The Kyuubi roars again, his sheer force pushing and even paralyzing the group. He gazes down at Naruto, approaching the seal, hopelessness, as he encourages him. ''Now hurry, rip this seal and set me free and all your pain and hatred I will embody and destroy your enemies.''
''Don't listen to him, Naruto!'' Alicia yells out at him but Naruto refuses to listen or rather he doesn't listen, fixated to open the gate.
They try to stop him but the Kyuubi continues swinging its tails, slamming them onto the feet lever water ground and releases shockwaves that pushes them back.
''No good…'' Kurosaki complains, not able to summon his full power to stop him. Alicia tries to fire Blue Flame but it's not working by the fox's large claws. Judai figures that the Kyuubi has more control due to Naruto's mental state.
They still try but couldn't get any close due to the tails as Naruto is lifted up by swirls of water up to the paper seal of the gate. He reaches out to the paper, grabbing it and hesitates to open it.
''We're not going to make it!'' Ruby shouts, not able to use her Semblance as all she can do is repel with her scythe.
Judai grits his teeth, not sure what they can do. It seems helpless as Naruto is about to peel away the seal until someone moves so fast that he pushes him out of there and back on the floor level. The group watches in shock as they see the one who stopped Naruto and it surprises them by his face.
''You're…'' Naruto begins to utter in shock as he knows this man; the previous Hokage. ''Fourth… Hokage…''
''That's a Hokage? He looks so cool and… and…'' Ruby begins to express as he finds his cloak very cool and his spiky blonde hair… and his blue eyes… Huh? She blinks more confused, turning to the others. ''… Why does he look like Naruto?''
''… Huh?'' Kurosaki utters puzzled as does Alicia, both blinking awkwardly as she's onto something.
Judai hums as the first time he was here; he felt like someone else was in here. So he wasn't crazy.
''So you were in here too?'' He asks out loud, causing the Fourth Hokage to turn to eye the group and smiles apologetic. ''Sorry, I didn't mean to surprise all of you. Thank you for being beside Naruto.''
Minato explains he placed a part of himself, of his psyche into the seal that trapped the Kyuubi with Naruto and as a final resort in case anything happens to the seal; this part of him will respond and fix the damage done only upon the eighth tail form.
The Kyuubi howls furiously, expressing his hate to rip the Fourth apart again.
''How come the Fourth Hokage knows my name?'' Naruto then asks, finding all of this so confusing. Minato looks back at him and smiles, cackling before he answers him. ''Well… I'm the one who named you.'' He places a hand on his shoulder. ''You are my son, after all.''
Naruto is stunned before asking again if that's true and Minato smiles, confirming it. This causes Naruto to laugh a bit, not sure what he's feeling but it's not pain. The others are taken back but Judai, having a gut-feeling that was the case.
''FOURTH HOKAGE!'' Everyone turns to see the furious howls of the Kyuubi. Minato snickers as he points his thumb behind him and asks Naruto with a taunt. ''Loud fellow, isn't he?'' Naruto oddly laughs at that comment, nodding.
Minato eyes the group and thanks them. ''Thank you all for helping me. I'm sure if Kushina was here, she would give her thanks as well.''
Ruby nods blushing as does Alicia and Kurosaki nods.
''You need the private talk with him?'' Judai asks him about the talk he'll need with Naruto. Minato simply nods as Judai gives him the thumb up. ''No problem!''
Minato nods, happy his son found good friends. He then remembers something and asks them. ''Do you mind, passing a message?''
The four blink as he tells them. ''Tell Yugi to turn to the 75th page of Takao's book.''
Kurosaki, Alicia and Ruby are taken back that he knows who Yugi is while Judai grins, promising. ''Gotcha!''
Minato smiles as the world around them becomes covered in fog.
Commercial Break:
Deva Pain looks up with his dilated pupils, glaring as he's not sure how to deal with this-
Suddenly the nearly completed Kyuubi poofs into smoke to Pain's surprise. ''The Kyuubi… disappeared?''
What's standing in its place is Naruto, once more in Sage Mode, with only determination across his face and his heart. Pain can feel him from this distance, becoming cautious.
''His doubt is gone…'' He proclaims as he's still concerned about what happened to the Kyuubi and soon theorizes in shock. ''Does he now have control over the Kyuubi?''
Naruto looks down to see Pain and senses the world around him. His heart-to-heart talk with his dad opened him up, letting out his frustration towards what he did to him but also that he believes in him. Deep down, Naruto feels invincible right now. That he can-
Suddenly, he becomes pale as he looks down and a hand is sticking out from the ground, grabbing on his ankle.
''WAAA!'' Naruto screams in horror as the ground of the planetoid cracks open and emerges as Ichigo, holding on both Alicia and Judai with Ruby behind his back. They begin to fall as Naruto uses his Sage Mode's speed and reflex to dash downward at the same time Kurosaki flies and lands himself along with the others while the giant rock moon shatters away.
''Had your talk with your dad, Naruto?'' Alicia asks with a smile, hoping that cheered him up. Naruto eyes her, not wanting to say he punched him and yelled at him for making his life miserable but he grins. ''Y-yea! I really am special hehe!'' He's happy that he is a Hokage's son, proud that he was actually loved and- Huh? Now he's curious why no one told him that, especially the Third?
''Good to know!'' Judai and Ruby both shout smiling while Kurosaki scoffs with his arms crossed, glad too.
Katsuyu slides out from Naruto, explaining what happened and how relieved this part of her survived the transformation he took. Naruto then begins crying, able to feel Hinata and the others thanks to Sage Mode. They're all okay even when he went berserk.
''Don't worry!'' Judai comforts his friend, smiling that a part of him was able to move the fight away from hurting anyone. ''Just seeing our friend and his love ones saved is a victory on its own.''
Naruto oddly smiles, nodding to Judai's words.
Pain glares at them, not expecting they all survived the Chibaku Tensei, his ultimate Jutsu, like it was nothing.
''Summoning-'' He begins to shout, trying to perform the Summoning Technique but he slams his hand on the ground, nothing happens. This shocks Nagato from his hideout, trying to manifest the other Pain abilities and none of them were working.
''W-why can't I…'' He begins to question until he realizes that likely the wish made for the Deva Path has ended. ''So her wish granting powers are limited? Why have me-'' He begins to question if this was Madara's intention but he shakes it off as he can still win this fight with just Deva's powers.
''It's time to settle this!'' Recomposuring himself; Pain announces out loud, causing everyone to stare down at their position. Kurosaki is about to charge at him but Naruto speaks up. ''Everyone, thank you for always being there…'' He walks forward in front of them, staring down determined at their foe. ''But this fight… this man… I have to prove myself and overcome that cycle!''
Ichigo is about to protest but Judai asks him. ''You got this then?''
Naruto, not turning around, raises his right arm to the side and lifts a thumb up.
''… Idiot.'' Kurosaki comments while Alicia giggles, correcting him. ''He is our idiot after all.''
''Win, Naruto!'' Ruby cheers passionately, believing he will win.
Naruto just smiles before he leaps down and stands on floor level in front of Pain.
Pain gazes at the Kyuubi as he questions this new resolve. ''Have you come to understand a little of what pain is?'' He narrows up at his comrades watching them. ''And even if you get to know others, there can be no understanding.''
Naruto just stares at him silently, finally getting the message Jiraiya left behind with his new understanding of Sage Mode and what he felt when Pain stabbed him before. He finally says firmly. ''… Take me to where the real Pain is! I want to speak to you face-to face.''
The Deva Path startles for a moment with Ruby awkwardly asking. ''T-the real Pain?''
''I just noticed it too…'' Kurosaki proclaims when he too was stabbed by those black rods- no, even way back when there were six of them and feeling them out. ''All the Pains have identical Spirit Ribbons, connecting to 1 source.''
''Then the others…'' Judai begins to realize what this means, looking back at Naruto. ''And that means Naruto may have seen or sense something similar with Sage Mode.''
''That's what Yugi meant about his concerns of Pain and his paths.'' Alicia utters out what Yugi theorized that the Paths of Pain were puppets, manipulated by the real Pain.
Pain looks firmly, astonished the Kyuubi Jinchuuriki found out the truth to his power. ''Hmm… So you figured that out?'' He manifests another black rod from his wrist. ''However, our discussion is over. Talking with you will change nothing.''
''Let me talk to you.'' Naruto pleads once more to him but Pain has heard enough and charges right at him.
They engage as Naruto's superior strength snaps the rod in Pain's hands and then delivers a devastating kick, sending him crashing onto large debris. Grabbing on the piece he took, Naruto stabs himself into his arm to the other's surprise.
''W-why did he stab that piece into him?!'' Ruby questions out loud, not following this but Judai realizes what he's doing. ''He's tracking him through those things.''
''So those black rods that stabbed into us and paralyzed us…'' Alicia begins to conclude with Kurosaki nodding, also thinking the same thing about them. ''Was his power and Naruto tracked it to the original.''
Pain gets up, glaring madly as the real Nagato detected Naruto doing this.
''Bastard!'' He yells out madly as Naruto pulls the rod off him and discards it before crossing his fingers together. ''SHADOW CLONE TECHNIQUE!'' He creates 3 Shadow Clones and immediately they create the Rasenshuriken.
''5 seconds. Just 5 seconds.'' Naruto tells himself, knowing he has a small time gap each time Pain uses his Shinra Tensei. If he can attack him within that time limit, he wins.
One of the clones threw a smoke bomb, concealing them and the Rasenshuriken. Deva Pain watches with his pupils dilated, glaring as he'll counter anything he throws at him. ''Come…''
A Rasenshuriken emerges from the smoke, coming right at Pain as he prepares to repel it until it dissolves and becomes multiple Fuma Shurikens that spread all over the Deva Path and he finds himself wrapped him up in wire, mainly for his legs.
''So this is your-'' Pain begins to conclude until a figure leaps up from the smoke and it is Naruto, wielding an even larger Massive Rasengan to Pain's horror as this attack resembles an asteroid.
''SAGE ART: SUPERMASSIVE RASENGAN!'' Naruto yells out, swinging downward with all of his strength as his attack descends towards Pain. He glares, holding up his arms forward and focuses before he shouts out.''SHINRA TENSEI!''
The super gigantic Rasengan clashes against the invisible barrier, sparks of energy colliding against each other. However, Pain pushes harder and completely repels and vaporizes both the Supermassive Rasengan and Naruto taking the full damage.
Everyone is stunned in shock by this. Pain pants heavily, watching as his body- His eyes widen as Naruto's body poofs into smoke. Pain soon realizes that was not the original but-
''RASENSHURIKEN!'' Pain turns around too slowly as emerging from the smoke is the Rasenshuriken, thrown by the real Naruto just as his Sage Mode fades away.
''What?!'' This shocks Pain, trying to get away only for two clones manifest out of two of the Fuma Shuriken, charging at Pain at both his sides. However, Pain manifests two black rods and stabs them onto both clones, using them as platforms to launch himself up in the air and evading the Rasenshuriken as it cuts through debris and explodes in a distance.
Pain slowly falls down, looking down at Naruto as his final hope to beat him is gone.
''4 seconds to go!'' He reminds himself, just needing 4 more seconds and then it is all over. ''With this, I win.''
He soon lands on the ground and in that moment, multiple puffs of smoke erupt underneath and around Pain.

''What?!'' Pain begins to utter in surprise as emerging from the rubber is dozens of Naruto, all shouting out. ''We still have 2 more seconds! Go!''
Pain is shocked that Naruto still had Chakra to make so many Shadow Clones and have them use the Transformation Technique to become part of the rubber.
''One more second!'' He tells himself, as all the clones are this up close to him as the closest swings down a punch at him and soon the timer is up.''Zero!''
Pain immediately releases a powerful Shinra Tensei, blasting away not just the clones but also Naruto too until more Shadow Clones appear behind him, grabbing onto the original's back to push him forward than being pushed back.
''He's now using Shadow Clones as back up!'' Pain utters in dismay, taken back by this. Naruto grunts as his clones hold his ground but struggle.
''Someone like you who has no answers should just give up!'' Pain yells at him, knowing he cannot win. Naruto endures not just thanks to his clones but also the words of Jiraiya, Minato and Kakashi all gave him. Soon the Shinra Tensei vanishes and Naruto still stands with 2 clones behind him.
''H-he withstood it… Impossible!'' Pain utters in disbelief before he drops on one knee. Naruto immediately forms a Rasengan with one clone while the third is still grabbing tightly on his arm.
Pain watches firmly as the distance between them is too large, affirming himself. ''That Jutsu cannot be thrown. I have 5 seconds. This distance will work for me.''
''Give up…'' Naruto begins to say as the Shadow Clone grabbing on his arm flings the original with all of his strength at top speed right on top of the Deva Path, surprising him.
''ON ME GIVING UP!'' He then yells determinedly, extending his energy sphere in his hand and slams it at full force across Pain's gut with all of his strength. ''RASENGAN!''

Everyone watches in dismay as Pain can't hold it in and lets out a painful scream as the Rasengan explodes and spirals him downward into the ground, crashing and killing the final path. Naruto falls down but then he's caught by Kurosaki, sighing as he flies to grab him.
''H-he won!'' Ruby begins yelling energetically with Alicia smiling warmly.
''Nice job, Naruto!'' Judai congrats him with a grin. Kurosaki descends and puts Naruto on his feet, breathing heavily as if it was a close call. Just one second later and the fight would be over for him. But… this isn't over.
Naruto doesn't say much as he walks towards the killed Deva Path, his internals completely destroyed.
''Can you guys… remove his piercings for me?'' He begins asking them, breathing as he needs a moment. The others blink, walking up beside him as they look down at the dead Pain, eyeing his black piercings.
''Wait, are those things also-'' Alicia begins to question, realizing they resemble the same material as the black rods. Kurosaki pulls off one of the black piercings, confirming it to be the same material as the rod.
''EW!'' Ruby complains as blood drips from the rods. She grunts, stomaching it as she helps remove them till all of them are off him.
Naruto then picks up one of the slightly bigger black rods and pierces it into the palm of his hand, seeing visions of death, of destruction… of all the sadness and hate that Pain has inflicted but everything he also went through. Most of all, he knows where he is.
He soon tosses it aside as he starts walking away.
''Where are you going?'' Kurosaki asks him to be cautious. Naruto stops, simply saying without turning to face them. ''… To talk.''
Judai understands as he walks up to him and suggests with a smirk. ''We're going together!''
Naruto eyes him and nods firmly. The two soon head out in a hurry with Alicia wishing them luck. ''Careful you two!''
They watch them leave as they go to tell the rest of Konoha that things are fine, hopefully.
Just the two of them in the deep forest, Judai watches as Naruto gathers Nature Chakra, struggling a bit but he's once more in Sage Mode. He then leads them to a strange large tree trunk.
''This is it?'' Judai asks, curious by how silent Naruto was and he knows why; he's containing his feelings until the time. Naruto doesn't answer as he reaches and opens up the tree, revealing it to be a camouflage of paper and inside; there are two individuals.
Judai hums as they walk inside and see Konan about to fight them but Nagato stops her, wishing to know what they aim to do.
''So, you're the real Pain?'' Naruto questions with a firm gaze while Judai is taken back by his appearance. ''That's…''
For a moment, it was like he was staring at Kagemaru when he was in his weird tank spider container. Only difference is he looks less old and his body is entrapped by this large chair-like machine with the same black spikes behind his back. What's more is he can feel his contained hate the real Pain has.
''So this is the result of hatred huh?'' Judai turns to his side to see Yubel manifest in spirit form. She oddly frowns. ''How ironic how spirits and humans are led to the same conclusion.''
Judai doesn't answer her but she's not wrong. After all, Yubel was also bound by hatred, Saiou bound by evil, Kagemaru for revenge… and Darkness as the embodiment of all that.
''So peace has stumbled onto me.'' Nagato taunts Naruto's arrival while Judai protests, being a bit cheeky. ''Hey now, there's no need to be sarcastic! I mean look at yourself.''
Nagato narrows his Rinnegan eyes towards him and tells him firmly. ''This is just a small price of my goal.''
''Kagemaru would disagree.'' Judai then tells him off, certain the old man would prefer his youth than to be trapped in his tank instead. He notices how awkwardly silent Naruto was, eyeing him and sees him trembling.
''Do you hate me? You're facing the object of your vendetta. Do you wish to exact your revenge?'' Nagato questions Naruto now, able to see his building hate.
Naruto actually struggles to admit it… wanting revenge for everything he's done. Konan then states that this world can never change, there will always be a cycle of hatred. Even if Naruto came to kill the real Pain, it changes nothing and will only gain self-satisfaction.
Naruto still remains silent as he recalls the words his father told him about the cycle of hatred and what all ninja must endure and those that don't; they just become another Pain.
''If you could not find the answer then there is nothing you can do, but to do the just thing and sacrifice yourself for the peace I am about to create.'' Nagato then declares as his chair-like device shoots out a large metal rod that instantly stabs Naruto across the center of his body. Judai is shocked but also why he just let it hit him.
Nagato then explains he avoided hitting any vital spot as his rod will contain him and keep him tamed. However, that wouldn't be the case as Naruto raises his head and his Sage Mode eyes are red with the Kyuubi sharp pupil overlapping with the toad pupils. The enormous combined powers overwhelm Nagato, repelling his power from controlling Naruto.
''The big fox's power and Sage Mode together!'' Judai utters in astonishment, feeling the intense energy from the two powers that Naruto has.
''I came here because I wanted to talk to you but also to confirm something.'' Naruto begins to speak up, explaining that it is his feelings towards the enemy who attacked his village, who killed his teachers and caused so much despair.
''And?'' Nagato questions his reasons. Naruto then grabs onto the rod as he grits his teeth, filled with rage not due to this blow but his internal blow.
''I cannot forgive you! Even now, I want to kill you so badly I can't stop trembling!'' Naruto expresses furiously, hating him more than anyone he's ever met.
He rips off the rod off his body, tossing it aside and comes charging in while his wound closes up. Konan intercepts, going to protect her only friend… until Naruto stops. He calms down, both his Sage Mode and Kyuubi powers fading away as Naruto states what Jiraiya told him that one day; people will understand each other and peace will come true. He didn't pay much attention to that since he was just a kid, wanting to become Hokage, strong and save Sasuke but those words never truly left his consciousness, especially of Jiraiya placing his hopes to find the answer to his dream.
''I got excited, taking it as a sign that he acknowledged me as his student. Thinking back, I finally understand what Ero-Sennin meant. It's not that simple.'' Naruto proclaims somber, wishing Jiraiya was alive to tell him how much he meant to him.
Nagato only confirms that even with that, Naruto is unable to forgive him. Those words of forgiveness are easy to say, love isn't and Naruto agrees with him.
''What Jiraiya-sensei was talking about was nothing more than old-fashioned idealism. Reality is far too different.'' Nagato proclaims as he's seen the harshness of the world and how one's dreams will be shattered apart by them.
Judai gazes at him, hating to admit it but he's not wrong, reflecting on his actions when pursuing Johan and not worrying about the others.
''Can you really believe in Jiraiya-sensei's nonsense after seeing what reality is?'' Nagato then asks Naruto after witnessing the same despair.
Changing subjects, Naruto then responds that he's been curious, the moment he revealed he was Jiraiya's student, on how he turned out the way he is; this so-called God willingly to bring more pain to the world for his peace.
''I want… to ask you about your story, your pain. You speak of pain and all the suffering you've seen. I also want to know your story. I know nothing of you guys so I need to know why before I can give you my answer.'' Naruto then offers, wishing to know how Nagato and Konan, students of Jiraiya, ended up the way they have. Unlike other Akatsuki members like Kakuzu, Deidara or Kisame; these two are not like the rest and he wants to understand them. If he doesn't, then…
Judai eyes him and is also curious how this guy ended up the way he did.
''…'' Silent by his request, Nagato ultimately accepts. ''Very well.''
''Nagato!'' Konan utters in alarm but he ensures her. ''Relax, Konan. I wish to humor them of what true pain is.''
He stares at the two and begins telling his tale, of his origin when his parents were killed by Konoha ninja, how he met Yahiko and Konan. How they were his family and then how they met Jiraiya and found a father figure. How he inspired him about his eyes and the power they can do, to achieve a world of peace. And then he left and they continued forward, planning to save their rundown village and change things; this was what the original Akatsuki were meant for… until things changed. They made great progress, even getting Hanzo the Salamander's attention… but also his wrath as he set a trap for them thinking they planned to take his reign and that was never the intention. Instead of losing Nagato, Yahiko killed himself by Nagato's own hand and it broke him. He slaughtered them and realized that in this world; there is no such thing as understanding anyone. He lost the only man he considered a brother, reflecting to Naruto about his thoughts of Sasuke.
Nagato expresses his disdain for people with power like the Fire Country, how they willingly let more war to happen to gain more power or wealth from it while the smaller countries pay the consequences. Because to those smaller villages; they are a foot note than treating them like human beings. How the villages only care for their own profit and benefit than extend to all.
''As long as mankind continues to exist, so will hatred.'' He proclaims, affirming his sense of being. Nagato pauses, thinking of his friend before he looks down at Naruto and demands for his answer. ''Let me hear your answer.''
Judai turns to Naruto, his eyes closed as he's in deep thought. Now he gets why and knows what to do. He finally opens his blue eyes, having his answer. ''I will believe in what Ero-Sennin believed in! That's my answer!''
Nagato doesn't take it well, yelling irritated at his response. ''Don't screw with me! How can you believe what Jiraiya-sensei said at this time?! After all of this! There's no such thing as true peace!''
''I'll never give up.'' Naruto, however, proclaims firmly which causes Nagato to stagger back; those words echoing something in his past. ''You…''
Naruto then pulls out the book of The Tales of a Gutsy Ninja, Jiraiya's first book. A story about a ninja who would change the ninja world. It didn't sell well but to him; it meant the whole world.
''On the last page, he wrote of a student who gave him the inspiration to write this book…'' Naruto begins to tell him, reading the book and the name of the student who inspired his master. ''It was you, Nagato.''
Nagato widens his eyes, recalling the last day Jiraiya was with them and how he told him he would believe in a world that true peace would come true, using his power he gathered from him and everyone's hopes. He now questions, staring at this boy… if instead of himself being the so-called Child of Prophecy; that it is him. He reflects the last words Yahiko said before he died by his own hands and also Jiraiya's lecture, wanting him to use his power to change the world for the better.
''Why?'' Nagato begins to question him. ''How can you stand there and declare that you will never change?''
Naruto looks down for a moment, reflecting on his past; having no parents, having no friends, being treated like a monster, a lost cause… sitting on that swing.
''I have experienced pain too. Loneliness… Despair... Sadness.'' He begins to tell him, hating those times, hating that loneliness and being treated as if he wasn't a human… and then he recalls Sasuke, he recalls Iruka, he recalls Kakashi, Sakura, Hinata, everyone. He also sees Yugi, Ichigo, and everyone else as Naruto proclaims happily. ''But I didn't want to give up because I have friends who see through the monsters and amazing friends who connect to one and another. And most of all, I wanted to become someone like the Hokage, someone everyone believes on.''
He looks at Nagato and understands him; he gets his pain and hate and why he feels different about him.
''That's why I can't hate you…'' Naruto begins to tell him, letting go of his rage and fury in exchange of compassion as he grins. ''Because you and I are the same. We are students of the awesome Gallant Ninja!''
Nagato is silent by this response, taken back as Konan notices this.
''No matter what pain may come, I'll move on. If the world is full of hatred, then I will connect to others and endure all that pain with this guts of mines!'' Naruto proclaims proudly, going to overcome the Cycle of Hatred and unite people like he's done to so many people. ''And make a world where ninjas, where everyone comes together and they can accept each other! I don't care how long that day will come, all the hatred I will face and evil I must fight All the struggles, suffering and despair but I will not give up! I'll bash my fist on anyone and fight for a world everyone can live better. I can't promise a perfect world but I am not going to let more pain and hate be created either! I will make that a dream that you and Ero-Sennin desired become real! A dream this guy, the future Hokage, will make sure it comes true!''
Clenching his fist, Naruto answers him determinedly. ''That's who Naruto is!''
Judai smirks, proud of his friend's growth.
Nagato is still silent, not sure what to say or describe. He looks at this boy, so naïve and yet… It reminds him so much of himself. Maybe more through his clear blue eyes. Someone who never broke; someone who was destined to change the world.
''… You're a mysterious guy…'' Cracking a small smile, Nagato expresses as he expected he would hate him and instead chose the other path than to be filled with greater hate. In a way, this was who he used to be all those years ago. ''You remind me of my old self.''
Konan is speechless by his acknowledgement.
''I think I shall try to believe in you…'' Nagato begins to proclaim, forming a hand seal with both his hands as he stares at the youth and his clear blue eyes. ''Naruto Uzumaki.''
Naruto and Judai watch as the red head breathes and utters out. ''OUTER PATH: SAMSARA OF THE HEAVENLY LIFE TECHNIQUE!'' They feel a strange surge from his body.
''What are you doing?'' Judai questions puzzled as Konan frowns at this decision he's made. ''Nagato… intends to end his life.''
This shocks the two as Konan explains that this technique governs life and death. That Nagato is the Seventh Pain, one of rebirth… with the price of his life.
''H-He's going to die? Why?'' Naruto questions out loud, not wanting him to do that.
''…'' Konan eyes him, believing his expression and tells him. ''Because this is the first time Nagato wishes to believe in something again.''
''And you're fine with that?'' Judai asks her as she frowns. ''No, but…'' Konan does smile a bit. ''It makes me happy to see him being kind again.''
Nagato's Jutsu begins to work as Katsuyu on Naruto's shoulder confirms that everyone is being revived. As it continues, Nagato's hair has turned pure white, becoming skinnier and weaker due to this as the last of his life will be extinguished.
He soon gasps as his arms drop on his sides, breathing heavily on his last breaths.
''There's nothing harder than accepting the death of a loved one.'' He begins to express his sadness, recalling the smile on Yahiko's dying face. ''And so we convince ourselves that they cannot die.''
Blood pours from his lips as he stares blurry towards Naruto and pleads to him. ''That's why… You shouldn't allow the pain of those you love change you. Promise me…''
Naruto stares at him as he raises his hand and lifts his thumb up, pointing at his chest as he vows. ''… I will. That's my Ninja Way.''
Nagato stares at him, now recalling the tale that Jiraiya told him about the Child of Prophecy; the one who is called the Savior of the World. Jiraiya believed it would be him but… now… Nagato sees who truly is the savior of the world. It takes more than pretty words but the boy's resolve; they were enough to convince him and place his hopes into him.
''Naruto, I truly believe you can...'' Smiling as the world around him turns while Nagato has found his answer as he leaves this world with no more pain in his heart.
Naruto stares sadden, wishing things were different and why he won't ever forget him.
Konan begins pulling Nagato out of the machine and coats him in her paper like a cocoon as well as doing the same with the Deva Path's body from afar. This surprises the other group but Kurosaki tells Alicia and Ruby to let this happen, having a feeling Naruto won in his own way.
''I will take Nagato with me, to protect him and Yahiko.'' She tells the two, wishing to protect them for the rest of her life.
''I hope we don't have to confront each other when you return to the Akatsuki.'' Naruto expresses, not wishing to fight her but Konan smiles, shaking her head. ''I don't plan to. For you are now the bridge of the future we desired.''
She raises her right hand to him and manifests a bouquet of paper flowers as a sign of peace, declaring kindly. ''I too will believe in your peace, Naruto.''
Naruto stares at her and smiles, accepting the bouquet while Judai gives her a thumb up.
''…'' Konan hesitates to leave, turning back at the two as she's reminded of the one she fought when Nagato and his paths confronted the Dragon Knight. She never thought much about her until now; reminded how much she loved Yahiko and that too changed her. She followed Nagato for he was the last of her closest friends and he was in constant pain. She could never leave him and his wish to create a world of peace. But now… she wonders about that girl and how she expressed her love for others, especially the Dragon Knight and how it reminds her of her old self.
''That cat girl.'' Konan begins to express, concerned of the darkness luring within her and how deep the abyss is, especially if she lost someone she loves deeply. ''Don't let her experience the loss of someone she truly loves.''
Both Naruto and Judai look at each other that she's referring to Ichigo and nod, promising her. Konan smiles as she ascends with her paper angel wings and flies away with both coated bodies of her teammates floating away.
The fight was over. As they leave the tree, Judai watches as Naruto makes a small shrine before placing Jiraiya's book and Konan's bouquet of paper flowers in the center. Once done, the two begin to walk to Konoha.
''It's over…'' Judai proclaims happily for the outcome with Naruto uttering tired. ''… Yea…''
The spiky blond headed turns to the brown-orange headed, wondering for a long time since they met on why he's been so… close to him. Not romantically but like… they're that much of close friends.
''… How come you went with me?'' Naruto asks Judai who hums, thinking about it. He soon stops, turns around to look at the ninja and smiles a little, answering him. ''Because you remind me of me too, Naruto.''
Naruto looks confused as Judai chuckles as he explains it. ''We're two peas in the same pot! Maybe our lives were different but we have huge dreams that make us who we are and we want to reach those dreams while protecting those around us.''
Judai then frowns a bit, reminded of his time as Haou and all the deaths he's committed. He's made awful decisions, errors on his end and led to many more stupid stuff happening. In a way, helping Yugi and the others is his way to repay back all he's done. It won't change anything and it's selfish but… he doesn't want any of them to walk down his path, especially Naruto.
''That and helping you may help me make up for my own past mistakes too.'' He explains as he lifts up his hand into a fist and declares, holding it up to him. ''We're buddies, never forget that!''
''…'' Naruto looks at him and oddly smiles, fist bumping him back. Judai snickers as he turns around just as Naruto loses focus and begins to trip forward, getting his attention. ''Naruto?!'' He turns just in time as Naruto is caught by Kakashi's back, just showing up out of nowhere.
''Yo.'' Kakashi responds with a hidden smile which Judai grins. ''Hey!''
Kakashi turns his head to Naruto's head on his shoulder and tells him. ''You did great.''
Naruto just smiles weakly, happy he's alive.
The three walk back to the village, wondering who else is alive or how they're all doing… or explain what even happened.
''So I guess everyone is doing-'' Judai begins to ask but he would get his answer as they emerge from the forest and waiting for them is a cheering crowd. ''WOAH!''
Everyone in Konoha was waiting, cheering upon seeing Naruto, not able to express their happiness that he saved them, that he gave them hope.
Kakashi looks down with a snicker that Naruto is finally acknowledged.
Naruto is so confused on why everyone is cheering for him that Katsuyu confesses she told them everything that took place, including Pain's sacrifice.
He gets off Kakashi as he approaches, still tired, taken back by everyone praising him.
Marching past the crown is Sakura, scowling.
''Sakura-chan?'' Naruto utters as she smacks him by the head.
''You are a reckless idiot!'' She shouts as she then grabs onto him and hugs him, sobbing of relief and joy that he's okay and he did it. ''Thank you.''
Naruto is taken back but smiles. Judai looks ahead and smiles to see Hinata there, smiling warmly.
''Oh hey, Hinata-chan is fine!'' Judai shouts to Naruto, causing the Hyuga to gasp and panic, hiding behind a few people.
Sakura snickers as she drags Naruto into the crowd as they all cheer for him. Kurosaki and the others join Judai, watching in surprise as the crowd literally starts lifting and tossing Naruto up high like a trampoline.
Judai snickers as he notices Iruka beside him and asks him. ''Oh, you okay Iruka?''
''Hmm, yea…'' He responds, trying to hide his feelings but he can't help but smile as he cries proudly of the boy he accepted, the one who changed everything. ''Because we have Konoha's Hero.''
''Sounds like a good name.'' Taichi comments with Taichi and Ruby agreeing with big smiles.
Blake smiles silently, wondering if… if humans and Faunus of her world can understand each other like she's seeing it here. It's giving her hope.
Unaware, a clone of Zetsu was watching all of this as he fades away.
In their secret hidden cave, Black Zetsu informs Kisame and Obito of the situation.
''This is… unexpected.'' Kisame utters, not seeing that coming. The masked man nods with his arms crossed as he says rather, trying to act calm. ''Pain was defeated huh?'' In reality, Obito is taken back by this. This was Pain, Nagato of all people. If there was anyone who would be the strongest of the Akatsuki other than himself is Pain. He respected him and yet he lost... yet; it doesn't surprise him either. He had his assumptions Pain would have lost eventually, likely by Dragon Knight Yugi or the Dark Lord or even himself but to Naruto Uzumaki… no less betraying him and using that Jutsu. This… ruins his plans- well, Madara's plans.
Ironic, now he can proceed with the plan without Madara. Obito tries not to snicker. Still, he'll have to talk to Minato's son later; he finally got his interest. No, he would have become his interest eventually.
''What now?'' Zetsu questions Obito now since he is their leader now. This was a no brainer as he answers. ''We'll leave Konoha untouched for now. Danzo should be making a move and we'll deal with him then.''
''And Kojan?'' Zetsu then mentions about the other Uchiha. Obito now snickers, proclaiming ominously. ''Let's see if he becomes a worthy foe or a worthy ally. We do need new additions.''
As he vanishes away and reappears on top of a building, looking down to see the Uchiha staring at Yugi who stares back. Obito gazes with his eyehole, looking forward to seeing the boy break.
Naruto has defeated Pain and overcame his hatred. However, can Yugi do the same with Kojan and his own hatred?

Haruto: They should. *his eyes narrow at Yugi and Kojan, facing each other* This should be our bigger concern.
Ichigo frowns silently.

Yugi glares silently at Kojan who glares back at him.

Author's Note: I mean… this was expected! It is nice that the others got to meet Minato, something not many people (until the War Arc but that's going to be VERY different) met and learned he is Naruto's father.
Also, the buff Deva Pain's powers of the other Paths were for a limited time. I could have kept them but then that means Desiree would be that much OP and her magic happens to be misdirected. So yea, the magic is limited and these kinds of powers are limited. That and make the Naruto win more like the original.
Not much to add, tweak a bit with the climatic conversation Naruto had with Nagato and it's done. The Hero of Konoha!
... Okay, I will talk a bit about it. So I never liked the conclusion of that talk. Naruto doesn't state his overall concern or what he should say to confront the problems of the Ninja world and yes; there's no good answer but if he said something like about his loneliness and desires to be Hokage and that he will use that to make a world of peace among the lands then yes, it does reinforced what we "got" in Boruto. So I did that. It's Naruto, he'll make peace through his own means of force by well, you know connecting to others. You know what I mean.
Next time is the big climax. To be honest… I thought this Pain fight would be 3-4 chapters than 2 CHAPTERS! Yea… that surprised me.
So yes, finally… the final build up: Yugi's confrontation with Kojan. Will their bonds connect or will Kojan's despair be too much? But first, to learn the truth and then a SPECIAL thing before the big fight!
