The Warriors of Kyoshi

Zuko's ship was sailing out at sea as he continues his search for Aang and Makoto. In his room, Zuko was meditating, the flames from the four candles were getting bigger and smaller with the prince's rhythmic breathing.

When he heard Iroh enter his room, Zuko didn't open his eyes or even turn his head. "The only reason you should be interrupting me is if you have news about the Avatar and the Pokemon Tamer."

Iroh came in, holding a map. "Well, there is news, Prince Zuko, but you might not like it. Don't get too upset."

"Uncle, you taught me that keeping a level head is a sign of a great leader." Zuko calmly told him. "Now whatever you have to say, I'm sure I can handle it."

"Okay, then...we have no idea where they are." Iroh gave him the news.

"WHAT!?" the flames from the candles flared up to the ceiling from Zuko's rage. The prince stood up and turned to his uncle.

Iroh pulled out a fan and began to fan himself. "You really should open a window in here."

"Give me the map!" Zuko snatched the map to take a look at it.

"There have been multiple sightings of the Avatar and the Pokemon Tamer, but they are impossible to track down." Iroh informed the prince.

"How am I gonna find them, Uncle?" Zuko kept his eyes glued to the map. "They are both clearly masters of evasive maneuvering."

While sitting on Appa's saddle, Makoto was looking at a map of the dimension he was currently stuck in. While looking at the map, the Pokemon Trainer slowly raised a confused eyebrow. "Aang, are you sure you know where you're going?"

Aang turned his head a little to give an answer. "Weeellll, I know it's near water..."

Turns out they were flying around nothing BUT water. "I guess we're getting close then." Sokka flatly said.

Aang turned his head to see that Katara was fixing up a pair of pants. Smiling, he turned to the lemur on his left shoulder. "Momo, marbles please." At the request, Momo dug into Aang's shirt, fished out some marbles and gave them to the Avatar. "Hey, Katara! Check out this Airbending trick!" He suspends the marbles between his two hands and made them whirl around in the air.

Makoto looked at the trick and was kinda amazed by it, but Katara didn't even look away from her work. "That's great, Aang."

Aang stopped the trick. "You didn't even look."

Katara stopped and turned her head to Aang. "That's great!"

"But I'm not doing it now." Aang said.

Sokka waved his arm a little in Aang and Katara's direction. "Stop bugging her, airhead. You need to give girls space when they do their sewing."

Katara turned to Sokka. Her face was in a mix of anger and annoyance. "What does me being a girl have to do with sewing?"

"Simple: girls are better at fixing pants than guys, and guys are better at hunting and fighting and stuff like that. It's just the natural order of things." Sokka answered.

"I wouldn't say stuff like that if I were you, Sokka." Makoto tried to warn the tribe warrior. "I'm friends with three girls: Nemona, Penny, and Carmine. They can handle themselves. And trust me, you do NOT want to get on their bad sides."

Sokka just shrugged it off. "You and the friends you made are from another dimension, that doesn't count."

"All done with your pants! And look what a great job I did!" Katara threw Sokka's pants right at him, clearly upset about her brother's earlier answer.

Sokka got hit in the head with his own pants. "Wait! I was just kidding! I can't wear these! Katara please!" He dug his hand through a hole that was on the seat of his pants.

"Don't worry, Sokka." Aang assured him with a grin. "Where we're going, you won't need any pants!" With a snap of the reins, Appa dove down as they got closer to their next stop.

Aang took the others to a crescent-shaped island and now they were standing on the beach of the island.

"We just made a pit stop yesterday." Sokka pointed out. "Shouldn't we get a little more flying done before we camp out?"

"He's right, Aang." Makoto agreed with Sokka. "If we keep making stops like this, we won't be able to get to the North Pole until spring."

"But Appa's tired already, aren't you boy?" When no response came from Appa, Aang nudged the bison with a grin on his face. "I said, aren't you boy?" Appa gave off a fake yawn while Aang pointed at the bison with his thumb.

"Yeah, that was real convincing." Sokka sarcastically said. But he shrugged. "Still, hard to argue with a ten ton magical monster."

Aang saw something in the water and gasped in excitement. "Look!" They looked to see a giant fish jumping out of the water. "That's why we're here!"

Makoto couldn't believe his eyes. "What is that!?"

"An elephant koi." Aang answered, he was stripping down to his underwear. "And I'm going to ride it. Katara, you've gotta watch me!" He dived into the water. About a second later, he leaped out of it. "COLD!" While Makoto couldn't stop blinking, Katara and Sokka looked at each other with the latter moving his finger in the universal sign of 'he's crazy'.

Aang dived down into the water to grab hold of an elephant koi. He hung on as the koi leaped out of the water before it dove back in. Katara and Makoto watched on with smiles on their faces, enjoying the performance Aang was giving with the elephant koi. The Airbender laughed and waved at Katara.

"Woo!" Katara waved back. Makoto whistled as his cheer for his Airbending friend.

Aang was happily enjoying his ride on the elephant koi. As he did, two more elephant koi joined in the swimming.

Makoto smiled and held out a Poke Ball. "I should let Golduck out and join Aang out there! That looks like fun! He's doing pretty good!"

"Are you kidding? The fish is doing all the work." Sokka told the Pokemon Trainer.

Katara was about to say something, but stopped herself when she saw what the flying bison was doing. "No, Appa! Don't eat that!" She ran off to stop Appa.

When Aang turned to give Katara a grin, he saw that she was running towards the trees. "Aw, man..." He groaned in disappointment. He was so disappointed that he didn't even see a big shadow in the water closing in on the three elephant koi.

Makoto noticed it and gasped. "There's something in the water!" Suddenly, two of the koi were pulled back into the water when they tried to jump up. Soon the only koi left was the one Aang was riding on. The shadow was closing in.

Momo screeched in distressed before he jumped into Makoto's arms. Hearing the commotion, Katara rushed back over. "What's wrong?"

"Aang's in trouble!" Sokka tried to call out to the Airbender. "AANG!"

"Get out of there! It's not safe!" Makoto called out.

Hearing his friends, Aang turned to see that they were calling out to him. Suddenly, he was launched off the elephant koi and landed into the water. He came back up, gasping for air...just as a big dorsal fin was seen in the water behind him. Slowly turning around, Aang sees the fin, screams and literally runs on the water to get away. The fin was following him, but the Avatar quickly got back to the shore...while knocking himself into Sokka. The creature of the water swam away while Makoto and Katara ran over to Aang and Sokka.

"What was that thing?" Katara asked.

"I don't know." Aang replied. He and Sokka got back on their feet.

Makoto looked back at the water, nervously sweating a little. "Whatever it was, it must've been pretty big and scary, and I've seen Director Clavell's Gyarados."

"Well, let's not stick around and find out. Time to hit the road." Sokka told the others.

Just as Aang put his clothes back on, the four of them found themselves surrounded by four warriors in green, taking all four of them, even Momo, by surprise. Before they knew what hit them, they found themselves bound, blindfolded, and thrown to the ground. Momo was stuffed in a sack. "Or we could stay a while..." Sokka said after the ambush.

Aang, Makoto, Sokka, and Katara were taken to a village on the island. They were tied to a pole, standing in front of the warriors and the village leader.

"You four have some explaining to do." the village leader, Oyagi, sternly told the four of them.

"And if you don't answer all of our questions, we're throwing you back in the water with the unagi." one of the warriors added.

"Show yourselves, cowards!" Sokka demanded. The blindfolds were removed so they could see the warriors and Oyagi. "Who are you? Where are the men who ambushed us?"

One of the warriors named Suki took a step closer to Sokka. "There were no men. We ambushed you."

Makoto turned to give Sokka a look of annoyance. "Guys are better at fighting than girls, are they?"

"Now tell us, who are you and what are you doing here?" Suki asked Sokka.

Sokka laughed a little in disbelief. "Wait a second, there's no way a bunch of girls took us down."

Suki grabbed him by the collar. "A bunch of girls, huh? The unagi's gonna eat well tonight."

Katara quickly spoke up to help her brother. "No, don't hurt him! He didn't mean it. My brother's just an idiot sometimes."

"It's my fault." Aang started to apologize. "I'm sorry we came here. I wanted to ride the elephant koi."

Oyagi pointed an accusing finger at the four of them. "How do we know you're not Fire Nation spies? Kyoshi stayed out of the war so far, and we intend to keep it that way!"

Makoto groaned a little at the accusation. "Again with being mistaken for a Fire Nation spy?"

Aang looked surprised by what Oyagi just said. "This island is named for Kyoshi? I know Kyoshi!"

Oyagi didn't believe that. "Ha! How could you possibly know her? Avatar Kyoshi was born here four hundred years ago, she's been dead for centuries."

Aang and the others looked at the statue of Kyoshi that they were tied to. The Airbender looked down before he answered Oyagi's. "I know her because I'm the Avatar."

While Oyagi's face was a mix of shock and disbelief, Suki didn't believe it. "That's impossible! The last Avatar was an Airbender who disappeared a hundred years ago."

Aang grinned. "That's me!"

"Throw the impostors to the unagi!" Oyagi told the warriors. Each of them were now holding two fans and walked over to the four of them.

"Aang, do some Airbending." Katara said as the warriors got closer.

Aang broke free from the binds and shot himself into the air, backflipping over the top of the Avatar Kyoshi statue. Finally, he floats gracefully to the ground. The entire village came out, saw what Aang did, and were amazed.

The warriors and Oyagi couldn't believe what they just saw either. "It's true...you are the Avatar!" Now Oyagi believed Aang.

Makoto was carefully moving his fingers as best as he could. Finally, he pressed the button on one of his Poke Balls to bring out one of his Pokemon. The one that came out was Meowscarada who used his Night Slash to free Makoto, Katara, and Sokka from their binds as well. The crowd was shocked even more.

"How..." Suki blinked while looking at Makoto and Meowscarada. "What did you just do to bring this creature out?"

Makoto smiled a little. "Well, first of all, he's called Meowscarada, a creature where I'm from called a Pokemon. Secondly, I just simply pushed the button on this thing called a Poke Ball to bring him out." Makoto held out Meowscarada's Poke Ball and showed it to the people of Kyoshi Island, amazing them some more.

"Now...check this out!" Aang grinned. He was showing the people of Kyoshi...the same marble trick he was trying to show Katara before.

Deciding to show them something as well, Makoto turned to his partner. "Take a look at this. Meowscarada, amaze them with your Flower Trick!" Nodding, Meowscarada held out his paws, waved one paw in front of the other to show that he was holding nothing. With another wave, a flower was now in his paw. With a third wave, the flower was gone. Closing his eyes and snapping his fingers, the flower came out of nowhere and dropped in front of Meowscarada before it blew up into some more flowers.

Seeing the tricks done by both Aang and Meowscarada made the villagers cheer...in fact, one of the villagers was so excited that he foamed in the mouth and fainted.

In excitement, a little girl ran to a fisherman and told him that Aang and Makoto were on Kyoshi Island. In fact, the word spread fast, from the fisherman to a merchant in front of a shop...until word of where they are made it to Zuko's ship.

Hearing the news made Zuko stand up from the table. "The Avatar and the Pokemon Tamer are on Kyoshi Island!? Uncle, ready the rhinos! They're not getting away from me this time!" He walks away to get ready for Aang and Makoto.

Still sitting at the table, Iroh looked at the cooked fish in front of him. "Are you going to finish that?"

Zuko came back and snatched the fish from the table. "I was going to save it for later!" He stormed back out with the fish, leaving his uncle to pout at having the fish taken away.

It was another day on Kyoshi Island, the villagers were even cleaning the statue of Avatar Kyoshi and giving it a fresh coat of paint.

Some of the villagers were even grooming both Appa and Koraidon while the bison ate a bunch of hay.

Where they were staying, Aang, Katara, Makoto, and even some of the Pokemon looked down at the table full of a bunch of food. "Alright! Dessert for breakfast!" Aang happily began to chow down on the food there. "These people sure know how to treat an Avatar."

Makoto took a bite himself and smiled at the taste. "Wow! These are pretty good." He offered a sweet to Katara. "Here, Katara. Try it."

"Well, maybe just a bite." Katara took Makoto up on the offer.

The Pokemon Trainer turned to his Pokemon and saw that they were looking at the food too. "That goes for you guys too. Dig in!" The Pokemon smiled at the offer and began to chow down. Meowscarada and Raichu were calmly enjoying the food while Golduck and Tinkaton were happily stuffing their faces. While having a little something, Armarouge used his Psychic to bring some food to Koraidon. The Paradox Pokemon saw the food floating in front of him and snatched it in his mouth, licking his jaws in satisfaction. Even Momo snatched some food from the table.

Aang turned to where Sokka was sulking in a corner. "Sokka, what's your problem? Eat!"

"Not hungry." Sokka grumbled.

"But you're always hungry." Makoto pointed out.

"He's just upset that bunch of girls kicked his butt yesterday." Katara told Aang and Makoto.

"They snuck up on me!" Sokka snapped.

"Right. And then they kicked your butt." Katara smugly said.

Sokka angrily got up. "Sneak attacks don't count!" He paced around the room, mumbling to himself. "Tie me up with ropes! I'll show them a thing or two. I'm not scared of any girls, not even Makoto's girl Pokemon." He grabbed a bunch of sweets from the table and walked away...he didn't even notice the glares he was getting from Raichu and Tinkaton. "Who do they think they are anyway?" As he walked, he began to eat. "Mmm...This is tasty."

Raichu and Tinkaton turned to each other and nodded with smirks on their faces. They got up and walked outside as well with one goal: Show Sokka what ANY kind of female can REALLY do.

Makoto noticed that his Pokemon sisters looked upset at what Sokka said, sighed, and slowly shook his head. "Boy, I REALLY wish Sokka kept quiet. Now both Raichu and Tinkaton are gonna make him eat those words." Katara just kept a small smug look on her face while she watched Raichu and Tinkaton walk away, satisfied that those two were on her side.

"What's he so angry about? It's great here, they're giving us the royal treatment." Aang happily said.

"Hey, don't get too comfortable." Katara warned Aang. "It's too risky for us to stay in one place for very long."

Makoto agreed with the Waterbender. "She's right. If we stick around too long, then it'll only be a matter of time until the Fire Nation comes in and wreck the whole island trying to find us." He turned his head to Armarouge. "And honestly, I'm still a little surprised that the people here aren't scared of both Armarouge and Koraidon."

"I'm sure we'll be fine." Aang assured them. "Besides, did you two see how happy I'm making this town?" He gestured to the statue they could see outside the open window behind them. "They're even cleaning up that statue in my honor!"

"Well, it's nice to see you excited about being the Avatar." Katara said. "I just hope it doesn't all go to your head."

"Come on, you know me better than that. I'm just a simple monk." Aang said. The three of them looked out the window after hearing some girls shouting. They looked to see some of Aang's fan girls screaming and waving. Aang smiled and blushed while Katara folded her arms and stuck her tongue out.

Makoto looked between Aang and Katara. "Well...I think I'll go take a look around town." He got up and walked out of the room. Meowscarada, Golduck, and Armarouge followed after him.

To say that it's been quite a day for Aang would be a bit of an understatement. First, he was running away from his admirers on a bridge. Next, he at least tried to get someone to paint a picture of him...only for the painter to give up and walk away after seeing more and more fan girls coming to be in the picture every time the painter tried to paint. Finally, Aang was doing some push-ups with Momo on his back while the girls watched on. He went from both hands, to one hand, to no arms, just using his breath.

Makoto, Meowscarada, Golduck, and Armarouge walked by, but paused to watch what Aang was doing. Katara walked by with a basket in her hands, looking unimpressed.

Koraidon was taking a little nap by a small dojo, but he woke up and saw that Sokka was heading inside, muttering something about girls. Tilting his head in confusion, Koraidon walked over to a window and watched as the Kyoshi warriors trained.

Sokka entered the dojo and began to stretch. "Sorry ladies, didn't mean to interrupt your dance lesson. I was just looking for somewhere to get a little workout." That made Koraidon growl a little in confusion.

The Kyoshi warriors stopped to look at him. "Well, you're in the right place." Suki told him. While they were talking, Koraidon turned to see that someone else was coming their way.

"Sorry about yesterday." Suki apologized. "I didn't know you were friends with the Avatar."

"It's all right." Sokka replied. "I mean, normally I'd hold a grudge, but seeing as you guys are a bunch of girls, I'll make an exception."

"I should hope so." Suki sarcastically said. "A big strong man like you? We wouldn't stand a chance."

"True, but don't feel bad. After all, I'm the best warrior in my village." Sokka bragged.

"Wow! Best warrior, huh?" Suki leaned a little closer to Sokka. "In your whole village? Maybe you'd be kind enough to give us a little demonstration."

Sokka looked unsure. "Oh...well, I mean I..."

Suki turned to the other warriors. "Come on girls, wouldn't you like him to show us some moves?" The warriors giggled and nodded.

"Well, if that's what you want, I'd be happy to." Sokka pushed Suki back a little. "Alright, you stand over there." He got into a fighting stance. "This may be a little tough, but try to block me." He a punch, but Suki blocked it by using her fan to jab him in the shoulder. He backed away and rubbed his shoulder. "Heh heh...good. Of course, I was going easy on you."

"Of course." Suki smirked.

"Let's see if you can handle this!" Sokka lunged at Suki, but she quickly dodged and knocked him off his feet while fanning herself. "That does it!" In anger, Sokka tried to punch Suki, but she dodged and grabbed him by the wrist. She spun him around while he screamed, then she grabbed his belt and used it to tie his wrist to his ankle. Sokka hopped a little before he fell down.

"Anything else you want to teach us?" Suki jokingly asked. Sokka blushed in embarrassment while the Kyoshi warriors and even Koraidon laughed.

Sokka looked to see not only Koraidon, but also Tinkaton and Raichu standing at the entrance. He sighed. "Well, at least I didn't have to worry about a female Pokemon getting the best of me."

The comment made Raichu and Tinkaton glare at him. "Rai?/Tinka!"

Suki noticed the looks on their faces. "Is that so?" She asked Sokka.

Sokka struggled a bit with his wrist and ankle. "Well, I've never seen a Pokemon before until Makoto showed up out of nowhere, but from what I've seen, Raichu and Tinkaton probably stick close to the guy Pokemon and let them handle the tough ones. Maybe even give them some small reward for their hard work and..." He trailed off when he saw that Tinkaton was now standing in front of him. The Hammer Pokemon had a mischievous smile on her face while holding up her hammer. Realizing what was about to happen, Sokka began to sweat while his eyes widened. "Wait, I take it back! Put the hammer down, Tinkaton!"

"Tinka...TON!" Too late. Tinkaton swung her hammer at Sokka, launching him up high in the sky, with Sokka screaming as he shot up. The female Pokemon and the Kyoshi warriors watched as he kept flying up to the sky.

Tinkaton just gave a sweet smile while turning to her electric sister. "Tinkaton." She offered kindly.

"Rai Rai." Raichu thanked her. Sparks left her yellow cheeks as she smirked up at the hole in the ceiling Sokka made.

Suki blinked as she saw that. "So, what are you going to do?"

"Rai...CHUUU!" Raichu answered by unleashing her Thunderbolt into the sky. It zapped Sokka, making him scream some more.

The Kyoshi warriors were impressed by what the Pokemon just did. "That was some pretty good stuff. You two have trained well." Suki complimented the two Pokemon. After stopping the Thunderbolt, Raichu and Tinkaton smiled and gave their thanks for the compliment.

Sokka fell down and crashed right in front of Koraidon. The Paradox Pokemon looked down and saw that Sokka was comically charred black by Raichu's Thunderbolt. The tribe warrior coughed out a puff of smoke. "Well, it looks like Makoto trained you guys well...a little TOO well." He groaned. Koraidon smiled happily and gave Sokka some good licks to the face. Sokka yelped while being licked. "AH! Hey! Koraidon, stop it! Down boy!"

Aang and the girls, one of which was holding a slumbering Momo, looked at the statue of Avatar Kyoshi.

"There she is, girls." Aang told them. "Me in a past life."

The girls looked on in awe. "You were pretty!" One of them even commented.

"Excuse me for a second ladies." Aang walked away to find someone.

Makoto, Meowscarada, Golduck, Armarouge, and Katara were in the market to stock up on food for the trip. Aang walked over and tapped Katara on the shoulder.

She turned to him. "Oh good! Can you help us carry this back to the room? It's a little heavy."

"Actually, I can't right now." Aang answered.

Makoto held a basket himself. "Why not?"

"I promised the girls I'd give them a ride on Appa." Aang answered. "Why don't you guys come with us? It'll be fun."

Katara continued to pick up vegetables to place in her basket. "Watching you show off for a bunch of girls does not sound like fun."

"Well, neither does carrying your basket." Aang argued.

"It's not my basket. These supplies are for our trip." Katara told the Airbender. "I told you, we have to leave Kyoshi soon."

"I don't want to leave Kyoshi yet." Aang told them. "I can't put my finger on it, but there's something I really like about this place."

Meowscarada and Golduck looked over at the group of giggling fan girls. "Gol?" Golduck asked Meowscarada with an annoyed frown, even pointing a thumb at the girls. Meowscarada closed his eyes and slowly nodded his head. "Meow Meow..."

"What's taking so long, Aangy?" One of the girls called out.

Both Makoto and Katara made a face. "Aangy..."

"Just a second, Koko!" Aang called back.

"A simple monk, eh?" Makoto deadpanned. Armarouge slowly shook his head. "Rouge Arma..."

"I thought you promised me that this Avatar stuff wouldn't go to your head." Katara said.

"It didn't." Aang threw in a suspicion. "You know what I think? You just don't wanna come because you're jealous."

"Jealous of what?" Katara went back to packing for the journey.

"That we're having so much fun without you." Aang replied.

"That's ridiculous!" Katara argued.

Aang shrugged. "It is a little ridiculous, but I understand."

The Waterbender huffed before she picked up the basket and began to walk away. Makoto and his Pokemon followed after her. Aang watched them go...before the girls grabbed him and pulled him away.

As Makoto walked, he turned to his three Pokemon with him. "Can you three help Katara carry this stuff back to our room? I'm gonna go check on Raichu, Tinkaton, and Koraidon." The three Pokemon nodded, Armarouge even used Psychic to carry the basket Makoto was holding. "Thanks, guys." He ran off to check on his other three Pokemon.

As he was walking with Meowscarada and Golduck, Armarouge also used his Psychic to carry the basket in Katara's hands as well. At first, she was surprised, but she turned to see that Armarouge was giving her a helping hand. She smiled a little at that. "Thanks, Armarouge."

"Arma." The Fire Warrior Pokemon nodded in reply.

Raichu and Tinkaton watched as Suki and the other Kyoshi warriors got back to training. But the training stopped when everyone saw that Sokka came back in.

Sokka hesitated with his words. "Uh...hey, Suki."

"Hoping for another dance lesson?" Suki mocked. Raichu and Tinkaton snickered a little at that.

"No...I...well, let me explain." Sokka tried to speak.

"Spit it out! What do you want?" Suki asked him.

Suddenly, Sokka got on his hands and knees. "I would be honored if you would teach me."

Not expecting him to say that, Raichu and Tinkaton looked at each other and blinked. "Even if I'm a girl?" Suki folded her arms.

"I'm sorry if I insulted you earlier." Sokka apologized. "I was wrong."

"We normally don't teach outsiders, let alone boys." Suki said.

"Please make an exception, I won't let you down." Sokka bowed.

"Alright, but you have to follow all of our traditions." Suki instructed.

"Of course!" Sokka quickly replied.

"And I mean ALL of them." Suki smirked.

Tinkaton and Raichu blinked, not believing their eyes. They saw that Sokka was now in a Kyoshi warrior's outfit: green dress and white makeup and all.

Sokka looked down at the dress he was wearing. "Do I really have to wear this? It feels a little...girly." Hearing someone clear their throat, Sokka turned to his right...only to gulp when he saw sparks leaving Raichu's cheeks as well as Tinkaton patting her hammer. The two Pokemon were glaring at him again. "N-Not that there's anything wrong with that!" He said quickly, not wanting to get on their bad side again.

"It's a warrior's uniform. You should be proud." Suki explained. "The silk threads symbolizes the brave blood that flows through our veins. The gold insignia represents the honor of the warrior's heart."

"Bravery and honor." Sokka stood proudly.

Seeing Koraidon, Makoto walked by the dojo to gently pet him. That's when he saw Sokka in Kyoshi warrior's clothing. "Hey, Sokka! Nice dress! Keep an eye on Raichu and Tinkaton for me!" He walked away with Koraidon by his side.

While Sokka slumped and frowned at Makoto's words, Suki, Raichu, and Tinkaton smiled at his discomfort.

Koraidon sat next to Appa while Makoto went into the house. There he saw that his other three Pokemon were napping while Katara was practicing her Waterbending.

Just as Makoto went over to his Pokemon, Aang walked into the room. "Guys, remember how the unagi almost got me yesterday?" Aang asked.

"Yeah." Katara didn't even look away from her water bowl.

Makoto raised an eyebrow. "Why? What about the unagi?"

"Well, I'm gonna go ahead and ride it now." Aang answered.

Makoto's eyes widened. "You're gonna what!?" The three Pokemon woke up at that.

Aang nodded, turning to Katara. "Yeah, it's gonna be real dangerous."

"Good for you." Katara replied.

Aang, Makoto, and the three Pokemon were surprised by her reply. "You're not gonna stop me?" Aang asked.

"Nope. Have fun." Katara answered.

"I will!" Aang assured.

"Great!" Katara said.

"I know it's great!" Aang said.

"I'm glad you know!" Katara said.

"I'm glad you're glad!" Aang said.

"Good!" Katara stopped Waterbending and clenched her fist.

"Fine!" Aang stormed out of the room.

Makoto, Meowscarada, Golduck, and Armarouge watched the back and forth between the two benders, feeling worried for both of them. Golduck even placed a hand on the side of his head. "Duck..."

Katara looked at the door before looking away, feeling worried herself.

Back at the dojo, Raichu and Tinkaton both had smiles on their faces. They were watching Sokka's training with the fans while Suki was supervising him.

"You're not gonna master it in one day. Even I'm not that good." Suki informed him.

"I think I'm starting to get it." Sokka kept training, even if it ended with him accidentally the fan at a tree.

Suki looked at the fan before she turned to Sokka. "It's not about strength. Our technique is about using our opponents forces against them, loosen up." Suki brought out her own fan. "Think of the fan as an extension of your arm." She and Sokka got into their stances. "Wait for an opening and then..." Sokka managed to knock her down.

For a moment, Suki, Sokka, Raichu, and Tinkaton were too surprised to even say anything.

The silence broke when Raichu smiled and gave Sokka a compliment. "Rai Raichu!" Even Tinkaton nodded with her arms folded. "Tink Tinka." Even seeing what he did himself made Sokka smirk and fold his arms.

Suki got back up. "I fell on purpose to make you feel better!"

"I got you!" Sokka pointed a finger at her. "Admit I got you!"

Suki laughed a little as she grabbed Sokka's finger and bent it back painfully, making him wince in pain. "Okay, it was a lucky shot. Let's see if you can do it again."

Raichu and Tinkaton giggled a little even after Suki released Sokka's hand. The two Pokemon couldn't help but feel something spark between the two humans who went back to their training.

On the beach, the girls sat around while Aang was in the water, waiting for the unagi...it never showed up.

"What's taking so long?" Koko asked impatiently.

"I'm sure it will be here any second!" Aang called out, but even he had his doubts about that. "What about this?" He pulled out some marbles and did his Airbending trick again.

"Not that again." One of the other girls wasn't impressed by the trick this time. "Boring."

"Where's the unagi? It's getting late." Koko and the other girls finally had enough waiting, so they got up and began to go home.

"Where are you going? Don't leave!" Aang called out to them.

"Sorry, Aang! Maybe next time." Koko apologized.

Aang slumped. But that changed when he saw Katara, Makoto, Meowscarada, Golduck, and Armarouge walk over. "Guys! You came!"

Makoto smiled and nodded. "Of course we came!"

"We wanted to make sure you were safe." Katara explained. "You really had me worried." Armarouge nodded in agreement.

"Back there you acted like you didn't care." Aang said.

"I'm sorry." Katara apologized.

"Me too." Aang apologized next. "I did let all that attention go to my head, I was being a jerk."

"Well, what are you waiting for, you big jerk?" Makoto smiled and joked. "Get out of the water before you catch a cold!"

Both Aang and Katara smiled at the joke as well. "On my way!" Aang began to swim back to shore. But as he did, something big came up from behind him. Seeing it made Makoto, Katara, Meowscarada, Golduck, and Armarouge gasp.

Seconds later, something came out of the water under Aang, lifting him above the water. The Avatar was no longer in the water, but hanging on to the unagi. The big sea beast looked down at Aang before spraying the Airbender with a stream of water, but Aang was hanging on to avoid being knocked off. As the unagi lunged at Aang, the Avatar quickly grabbed on to one of the whiskers. The unagi shook its head to shake him off, but Aang was hanging on for dear life, even while the shaking was making him swing on the whisker.

"Hang on, Aang!" Katara called out to him.

Thinking fast, Makoto turned to his Water-Type partner. "Golduck, we've gotta help Aang! Use your Water Pulse on the unagi!"

Nodding, Golduck raised his hands, forming balls of water above them before he launched them at the unagi. The water balls hit their target and Golduck just kept on firing them. Still, during that, Aang lost his grip and splashed back into the water. When he came back up, he was unconscious.

"Aang!" Katara raced out to get him.

"Get him, Katara! We'll keep the unagi busy!" Makoto said. Golduck kept on firing balls of water to distract the unagi.

The unagi sprayed some more water. This time, the targets were those still on shore. "Armarouge, direct the water away with Psychic!" Makoto said.

"Arma!" Armarouge used his Psychic to manipulate the water right back at the unagi.

Just as Katara finally got to Aang, the unagi was pushed back by its own water. It roared at those who attacked it with its own attack...only to quiet down when Golduck fired an even bigger water ball that stuck to the unagi's head.

Makoto smirked at that and when he saw that Katara got to Aang. "Great work, Golduck! Now it's time for the finale!" He turned to his first Pokemon partner. "Meowscarada, send the unagi back into the water! Use Flower Trick!"

Meowscarada nodded, waved his hands around before finally snapping his fingers. Before the unagi knew it, a bunch of flowers came raining down on it, even bursting the giant water bubble on its head. They exploded on contact, dealing damage to the sea beast, and sending it splashing into the water...and making a wave that came at both Aang and Katara.

Makoto winced while looking at the wave. "Whoops..." Meowscarada, Golduck, and Armarouge mentally slapped themselves once they realized the mistake as well.

Seeing the wave, Katara thought fast. Still holding on to Aang, she used her free hand to Waterbend them back to shore. They made it back...and even bumped into Makoto and his Pokemon as they did.

Meowscarada shook the water off his fur, but as he did, he heard something from behind a rock. Looking over, he was surprised by what he saw. "Meowscarada!" He called for the others to come and see. Katara and Makoto joined him to see what he was seeing. "Oh no." Makoto muttered. "Zuko!" Katara gasped.

It's true, what they were looking at was Zuko's ship stopping at Kyoshi shore. Zuko and his soldiers got off the ship, riding on rhinos. "I want both the Avatar and the Pokemon Tamer alive." Zuko told his soldiers.

Makoto, the Pokemon, and Katara hid Aang while the Fire Nation stomped through the town. "Wake up, Aang." Katara moved her hand around Aang's chest and removed the water from him using her Waterbending.

Aang coughed and opened his eyes a little. "Guys..." Katara, Makoto, Meowscarada, Golduck, and Armarouge smiled in relief. "Don't ride the unagi, not fun."

Makoto chuckled a little at that. "No problem. I'll stick to riding on Koraidon."

Back at the dojo, both Raichu and Tinkaton still watched Sokka and Suki training together. "Not bad." Suki complimented after Sokka blocked her attack.

Suddenly, Oyagi ran to the door of the dojo. "Firebenders have landed on our shores! Girls, come quickly!"

Suki went on ahead. "Hey, I'm not a...oh, whatever!" Sokka at least tried to explain. He, Raichu, Tinkaton, and even Momo ran after them.

Zuko and his Firebenders were standing in front of the village, the villagers were hiding in their houses.

"Avatar, Pokemon Tamer, come out!" Zuko yelled out. "You two can't hide forever!" No one answered, so he turned to his soldiers. "Find them."

The soldiers began to search the village for Aang and Makoto, only to be attacked by the Kyoshi warriors, and even Raichu and Tinkaton.

Suki went for Zuko, but he turned his rhino around, swatting her away with the tail. When she hit the ground, Zuko fired a blast at her, luckily Sokka was able to deflect the blast with a fan. Zuko was so surprised, he fell off his rhino.

"I guess training's over!" Sokka told Suki. They and some more Kyoshi warriors surrounded Zuko. The banished prince spun around on his hands and fired fire from his feet, knocking them to the ground. It even knocked Tinkaton off her feet.

Zuko stood up. "Nice try, you two! But these little girls can't save you!" Suddenly, the ground in front of him popped open. He jumped just in time to see that Raichu emerged from the ground.

"Over here!" Zuko looked to see that both Makoto and Aang were now standing behind Raichu. "Finally!" He fired some fire balls at them. Aang quickly dodged them and jumped after Zuko. Makoto was able to follow after Raichu underground. Before Aang could attack, Zuko fire kicked the staff out of his hands. Before the prince could attack again, he was launched into the air by a bunch of stars.

Blinking, Aang noticed that it was Raichu who used a Dig and Swift combo on Zuko. The Firebender was ready to unleash some more attacks on the Mouse Pokemon. Makoto popped his upper half out of the hole. "Raichu! Intercept Zuko's attack with Thunder Punch!" Just as electricity danced around her fists, Raichu clashed attacks with Zuko as they began to come down. As they did, Makoto turned to his Airbending friend. "Now, Aang! Go for it!"

Nodding, Aang quickly grabbed a couple of fans that the Kyoshi warriors dropped. With the fans in hand, Aang began to race over to Zuko. Raichu saw him coming and dove down to Makoto. Not just getting away, Raichu even swung her tail and unleashed another Swift attack just as Aang used the fans and his Airbending to send Zuko crashing into a building.

Makoto got out of the hole as he turned to his Electric-Type sister. "Way to go, Raichu!" Raichu happily smiled. "Raichu!"

After getting his glider and flying around, Aang looked at the damage that was done to Kyoshi Island, even the statue of Avatar Kyoshi had some fire damage. The Avatar couldn't help but look depressed at the damage and realized that he really should've left earlier.

"Get inside." Katara got a villager into a house just before Aang landed beside her.

"Look what I brought to this place." Aang said.

"It's not your fault." Katara assured him.

"Yes it is." Aang argued. "These people got their town destroyed trying to protect me and even Makoto."

"Then let's get out of here." Katara suggested. "Zuko will leave Kyoshi to follow us. I know it seems wrong to run, but I think it's the only way."

"I'll call Appa." Aang sadly agreed.

While Kyoshi warriors were fighting Fire Nation soldiers, Makoto and his Pokemon were hiding behind a building. Momo was on top of the Pokemon Trainer's hat. "Return, the five of you!" He returned Meowscarada, Golduck, Raichu, Armarouge, and Tinkaton to their Poke Balls, leaving out Koraidon. "We need to meet up with Aang, Sokka, and Katara and get out of here. Zuko will leave these people alone to follow us." Koraidon growled in agreement and allowed Makoto and Momo to get on his back.

At the same time, Sokka and Suki were hiding and having a talk of their own.

"There's no time to say goodbye." Suki told Sokka.

"What about 'I'm sorry'?" Sokka said.

"For what?" Suki asked.

"I treated you like a girl when I should've treated you like a warrior." Sokka told her.

"I am a warrior." Suki gave Sokka a kiss on the cheek. "But I'm a girl too." Sokka's eyes widened in surprise as he touched the cheek that Suki kissed. "Now get out of here! We'll hold them off." Suki told him.

Sokka climbed up Appa's tail. Aang and Katara were waiting for him. Makoto, Momo, and Koraidon were waiting as well. "Let's get outta here!" Makoto told them. Koraidon took to the sky as did Appa.

Zuko watched them leave, and was shocked once his eyes were on Koraidon. "The Pokemon Tamer also has a Pokemon Dragon!?" Shaking his head, he turned to his men. "Back to the ship! Don't lose sight of them!"

Both Appa and Koraidon were flying away from Kyoshi Island. Aang still looked guilty for what happened to the island. Katara leaned over to assure him. "I know it's hard, but you did the right thing. Zuko would've destroyed the whole place if we had stayed. They're going to be okay, Aang." Suddenly, with a look of determination, Aang jumped off of Appa, down to the water below. "What are you doing!?" Katara yelled out to him.

The Avatar landed in the water, when he came out...he was hanging on to the whisker of the unagi again. This time, he was able to get on top, grab hold of both whiskers and point the unagi in the direction of the village. The unagi sprayed out a big wave of water that rained down on the village. The rain put out the fire...and also soaked Zuko and his men, making the prince angry. Satisfied, Aang jumped off the unagi and into the air where he was caught by Appa.

Oyagi looked at the retreating forms of Appa and Koraidon with a soft smile. "Thank you, Avatar."

Aang climbed up until he was sitting on the saddle with Sokka and Katara. Makoto, Momo, and Koraidon flew next to them. "I know, I know. That was stupid and dangerous." Aang said, thinking that Katara was going to scold him.

"Yes, it was." Katara agreed with a smile. Instead of scolding, Katara hugged the Avatar, making him smile.

Makoto smiled while looking at it himself. He looked down at his Synchro Machine. "Aang did really good today...but I've gotta do my part too. After all, I've still got some friends of my own to find. As well as some diamonds." Makoto turned to the lemur on his shoulder. "Hey, who knows? I might be able to use one of those Synchro Forms again. It'd be nice to use it to help Aang on his Avatar quest, wouldn't it, Momo?" Momo gave off some sort of chatter, and even Koraidon happily growled.

Now the gang continued to fly off. Their quest to get to the North Pole, as well as finding Makoto's friends and the Dimension Diamonds, continues!
