Chapter 5: The Shadow's Revenge
Date: October 6th, 2024
The day by now in Mii World/Earth terms has changed from the 5th to 6th. Thus why the date is different on this one. I waited for the Crusader to make a move before easily countering and shouting: "I told you I would hold nothing back if that's what it took and I feel like that is what it's going to take to help you try to understand my perspective! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" I start holding my sword with both of my hands to deal more damage. It's long enough to be two handed but just short enough to be one handed too. Honestly, it could be like 5 feet long and I'd still be able to swing it with one hand like it's nothing at this point. So far, I just focus on basic techniques against them but I still hit back hard. I'm stronger than them physically at least when it comes to these basic attack but their skill is nothing to sneeze at either. But then, they shout: "May our fallen God's light still fill our hearts and give us strength! Faith In God Slash!" I don't even block. I just take the hit and show that it is doing very little against me. I then fight back and begin to overwhelm them: "HAAAAAA! *attacks* Continuous Great Infernal Tornado Slash: 20!" They are unharmed by my attack. "So you're tougher than I thought. But I believe you think the same of me. Listen, I don't want to have to fight you. I see the humanity in your eyes through my Artist's Eye and even without it, I could still see your visible emotions so easily. This hurts, doesn't it? This is war for you. It hurts a lot to experience. I want you to try to consider my POV. We could talk and exchange how we feel and think with each other. We could have understanding. We don't have to be enemies." "Nonsense! Stop talking such filthy talk! For all of your sins, you should be stripped of your armor and knighthood!"
"I don't really care if I'm a sinner because I'm trying to do what's right! Drawing Destruction! Listen, even if someone tried to take them away from me, I would refuse to let them go. My armor is a part of me now. It's like a 2nd skin! It protects me, it very lightly makes pleasant clinking sounds, it feels good on me, it's super cool, it makes me feel safer. And as for my knighthood.. It's better than reaching adulthood in my opinion. It gives me morale and a greater desire to protect my loved ones and those who can't protect themselves! But I won't just let go for my own selfish reasons. I won't let go so that I can help protect the future and save worlds that need to be saved! Is that not what a knight should strive for?" "You're lying! You're just saying things to sound important!" "I'm not that important! I'm only one person, a secondary or even minor character in this conflict! Groups of people fighting for better are far more important than I am alone. A collective is far more important than even the self. You put your faith in something more powerful than yourself. And so.. do I! The groups I belong to most! To humanity and nature themselves! I refuse to let go of my belief in humanity's potential. Because most people aren't complete power hungry sadists!" But my words don't reach them and I eventually hold absolutely nothing back, unleashing my best techniques on them within minutes. And in no time at all, they lie on the ground, their armor shattered, their shield in pieces, their sword missing most of its blade, their body bleeding out. They were much tougher than I expected them to be. I only took a little damage from our fight. I spoke to them: "Can my words reach you now? *sigh* I should be focusing on fighting more opponents but I just have to prove once again that Im trying to save others and be better.
I can never prove that enough. I just can't. Some people will always refuse to believe that I'm trying to grow as a person and save others. But I can't worry about that too much. In fact, I'm trying to be an example to your allies and comrades of what it is we're trying to ultimately do among other goals. Some just witnessed our fight and are shocked by your loss. War is so ugly and evil. You often have to be ruthless while cutting down the enemy, never being allowed to try to empathize with them and show them what you truly want for the world or universes around you." They weakly reply: "..I see.. I've been wrong about.. you people.." "You aren't dying on my watch! I cast Heal! And again! And again!" After they're healed, I use Repair to fix their gear and offer a hand to help them up. "Why did you save me?" "I don't like giving up on others I am trying to help. Come with me. We have a crusade to force to fail." "Yes.. Yes we do.. My mission.. Our mission.. Everything about it is wrong.. You opened my eyes.. Thank you.." A few minutes later, myself and some others come together, having turned some of our enemies into new comrades and taken down others in the midst of that. Sinon speaks: "Our situation is slightly better than it was just minutes ago. But it's still critical. The enemy has The Shadow fully cooperating with them. If The Shadow is allowed to stay alive like they are for much longer, they will really start to do a lot of damage.
Therefore, we must act and do what we must to end them. That has to be the main objective for us now." Skyler nods: "You're absolutely right. But how do we even stop The Shadow especially when they're surrounded with other enemies of ours? Not to mention the fact that most of our comrades are too occupied to help in large part thanks to Katherine's ascension to being a god. We have the lance but what good is it when we can't get enough of a group to use it again not to mention the precision required to use it right? It's all complicated but we have to figure it out." Myself and some others choose to fight The Shadow. I still have a desire to fight them after the time traveling mess they helped create so long ago. Herbsalvin speaks to me: "Are you ready to face them again, my dark knight?" "I am, my knight charming. We can't just let them do as they please. They might be calling upon more enemies to get us as well as strengthening them" "Aye. The most we can do is slow them down. We musnt let them get to our heads. We have to keep ourselves strong in body, heart, and mind, always. And when this battle is over, we can have a true huzzah. *breathes* This is going to be a difficult task that will test our mettle constantly." Yappa Yappa laughs: "But hey, at least we won't just be knocked down with a single attack! We'll keep The Shadow busy for a while! But first, we must get these total losers out of the way! Look at them! There's not a shred of kindness inside of them! I can't wait to make The Shadow feel some pain for what they've done!" We start attacking foes in the way left and right.
"Pegasus Wing Slash!" "Obligatory.. not Obedience because forget that nonsense! I'm through with it now! Obligatory Chaos Pummeling Pitchfork! My latest attack! Now suffer some pain, enemies of ours!" "Continuous Great Infernal Tornado Slash: 150! STILL MY LIMIT BUT.. HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" "Time to use a flurry of elements one after another! Ice! Water! Wind! Lightning! Earth! Destruction! Creation!" "Heh, this might be even more fun than my fight with Milim was!" "You all better stay alert. I will keep Erasure active for now in case any enemies have quirks. That's always a possibility even though we don't have to worry about All For One or Shigaraki anymore outside of the world I come from." But as we make our way to The Shadow, Aizen gets in our way and smirks: "I fooled you. Do you have any idea why Katherine has not said anything about the fact I helped her become a god or that I didn't exactly point out the irony in that happening when she turned on me? It was all an elaborate rouse to fool all of you, even the Arrancars who oppose me! Just look around!" Things have gotten even worse as the Arrancars who are Hollows(corrupted human or animal spirits) who went on to eat other Hollows to grow stronger and evolve over and over turn on us and start attacking our comrades right as Aizen sends all of us back. "You should never trust me to keep promises or agreements I make to anyone but myself. For now, I will work with your enemies as doing so will fetch me better data for my research. And besides, I know more about all of you than them so it's better to kill enemies you know more about first."
Ichigo and his closest friends catch up to us, almost like they sensed Aizen's treachery from kilometers away. Renji yells: "Roar, Zabimaru! Bankai!" But Aizen breaks his Bankai effortlessly. "What the HELL?!" Ichigo adds: "What is going on?! Renji, ARE YOU OKAY?!" "Zabimaru.." Aizen laughs: "Who wants to be broken next? I must admit, I have a new level of enjoyment on making you and everyone around you suffer, Ichigo. I delight in every single expression you make towards me now. It's so amusing that you and the others still try to fight me even though you are completely outmatched against me." Skyler sighs: "This is going to be so much more difficult than we could have possibly expected.." But Yappa Yappa and the berserker Shinigami Kenpachi aren't concerned at all. Kenpachi laughs: "Oh yeah! Talk about a real challenge! Hey Aizen, fight me! I'll enjoy tearing your body to shreds!" Yappa Yappa adds: "Im not concerned about dying again thanks to my friends! Let's play, Aizen! I'm going to make you experience pain for what you've done or I'm going to fail but with a smile because I know I had just wasted your time! Plus, I need an excuse to truly test out what I can do now that I'm a Demon Lord! I hope you don't mind if I join in, Kenpachi!" "Sure, why not?! Like this bastard cares how many of us fight him at once!" Mayuri, the twisted scientist of the 13 Gotei chuckles: "I should get some great samples for my own research from all of this! I can't wait!" Sui-Feng, the harsh assassin of the 13 Gotei glares at them all: "What do you think you're doing?!
This is Aizen we're talking about and he has now far surpassed even Ichigo at his strongest! Stop being so excited!" The other lead 13 Gotei members catch up as well, wishing to take down Aizen once and for all. But he just smiles confidently: "Not bad. You have yourselves a huge variety in your not so little group. I'm going to enjoy this." Yappa Yappa attacks first: "But you're fighting me and Kenpachi first! The others can wait for now! I'll make sure to force you to show us everything you have and try to make you feel so much agony!" Mayuri chuckles: "I rather like THAT one! Such a fascinating organism, I must do all kinds of tests on him! But once this is all over, of course!" Yamamoto speaks bluntly: "Don't lower your guards, anything can happen at any time now." Shunsui, one of the chillest of the Gotei captains remarks: "You gotta admit, old man Yama is right. Can't afford to be caught off guard in this kind of chaotic battle." Argo speaks to those of us who originally confronted Aizen here apart from Yappa Yappa: "Ya know, couldn't we just sneak past all of this and just get to dealing with The Shadow already? There's plenty of Shinigami to keep him busy." We tried to do that after she says that but Aizen just laughs again: "Where do you think you're going? I'm not finished with any of you. In fact.. My subordinates that I brought back to deal with you all just now will be here shortly. Of course, I had to fully bend Tosen to my will but he's fully loyal now at this point." Some of the literal Espada appear right then and there. Aaroneiro whose name sounds like a weird version of a type of pizza sauce, Yammy, Ulquiorra, Starrk, Harribel, and Grimmjow were among them but they weren't united. They were fighting amongst themselves except for Starrk who just really wanted to leave. Aizen gets annoyed: "What are you Espada doing?!"
Yammy replies: "We're settling our differences! Now buzz off or I'll swat you myself! I'm not loyal to you any longer!" The others on or supposedly on Aizen's side arrive as well, making this whole scene that much more chaotic and complicating things even more. Abstractoa speaks: "We have no time to deal with any of this. We must get to The Shadow immediately." But then, all of the fighting in this battle begins to sort of close in on us like the clash we're seeing is getting a lot of attention. As if things weren't already a big enough mess, Satan suddenly yells: "Forget it! I'm done playing as God's plaything! I've secretly resented following his will but was in denial of it! But when I heard that Abstractoa talk about defying fate, I started wanting to too!" The angels loudly voice dissent and turn on him. I don't even know how many sides are fighting anymore. But the chaos did give us something good. An excellent opportunity to get under everything and sneak to The Shadow without any hassle. Some of our comrades were already fighting The Shadow but were losing badly. So when we dropped in, things began the change. Realizing there's no possible way to afford holding back here, I drink a large number of poison and withering potions and take off all of my armor and some more things, leaving me just in my dark knight robes with my sword in hand. "I have to sacrifice nearly all of my defense for a huge increase in mobility to deal as much damage as quickly as possible. Fighting The Shadow is a whole different kind of fight. The goal here is very different. It's not to win exactly. It's to delay until we can win. My armor keeps me very safe but in this situation in which the opponent doesn't fight like others do, I feel it pointless to wear my armor here.
Everyone, we have to attack together without getting in each other's way. I'd prefer to fight alone but our opponent's power is off the charts, I don't stand a chance, and we could deal more damage overall than if we just did this alone one by one. But I will be mostly focusing on unleashing everything I have so please consider that as we prepare to fight here." Soon after that, we come at The Shadow from basically all sides and angles. I yell: "Here we go! Inner Wind: 20% Boost: Speed and Attack Power! Finally, I have a thing for the wind that's inside of me in name. Next.. *fully unleashes Ki and activates Artist's Eye: Evolution* Thanks to Abstractoa, I can still use the evolution of this ability one last time today so I'm going to stretch it as far as possible before anything else. *summons shadows* Even among just my core group of close friends, I'm not even in the top 5 in overall combat power. But I'm still going to give this my all with all the effort I can muster. HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! GO TO SLEEP, THOSE WHO FIGHT AGAINST US! ARTIST'S EYE: EVOLUTION! Send them to whatever you think is best to change their minds on this 'crusade' as the angels and demons called this battle!" I used my sword to help me make the AoE go out as far as I could to get as many foes as possible to sleep. It was hard and I screamed in agony as my eyes literally bled from the strain I was putting on them not to mention tearing up.
The toxins I ingested help me get over it once I finish putting in the effort while my comrades have already jumped into fighting The Shadow who none of us had really engaged in a fight with unless you count briefly at the end of the final battle against Future Fluffy Afro from the 31st century aka Gorganan. Once I was done with doing that stuff to the point my eyes wanted to just shut already, I began to prepare my true assault against The Shadow while letting my shadows run loose against them and planned in all kinds of spontaneous combos with the others to help be more effective. "CONTINUOUS GREAT INFERNAL TORNADO SLASH: 150 X7! HAAAAAAA! KAMEHAMEHA SLASH! ALL OF THE FOLLOWING 145 TIMES OVER: ANATOMICAL DISRUPTION, DRAWING DEVASTATION, AIR SLICE SLASH, WIND BREAK SLASH, DARKEYE SLASH! Now, PIERCING DARKNESS AND INFINITE PAIN X5! And finally TRUE SHADOW HURRICANE X3! Just kidding! I'm not done yet!" While unleashing all of this stuff, I also threw in basic sword attacks and planned out where I wanted them all to hit while moving around to be a harder target to hit. "ITS TIME FOR MORE! TAKE LOTS OF CREATIVE BLADE STRIKES WHICH END IN TURNING INTO DEADLY EXPLOSIONS! WANT MORE?! WIND RELEASE: GALE PONG! *lands a lot of thrusts and kicks* NOT DONE YET! I CAST THE FOLLOWING SPELLS IN RAPID SUCCESSION AND EVEN RISK BEING REDUCED TO A WALKING SKELETON TO DO SO! HURRICANE, TORNADO, DEADLY WINDS, POISONED AIR, RESTRICTING CHAINS, ROLLER COASTER RESTRAINTS, AND 15 MORE RELEVANT SPELLS! AM I DONE NOW?! APPARENTLY SO EXCEPT.. IM GOING TO KEEP GOING WITH ALL OF THIS STUFF UNTIL MY ENERGY IS NEARLY ALL GONE!"
Several minutes later and I was totally beat. I downed a mana restoring potion before I could become a skeleton only to get blasted really hard by The Shadow who finally speaks once again: "None of what any of you are doing is having any effect. You are useless." That's even despite all of our coordinated moves against them. Herbsalvin and I even used Rage Of 2 Knights on them but still, nothing. The effects of the toxins in me finally wear off. At this point, I'm going to become poison resistant whenever my body becomes alive without the need of magic to keep it from rotting away once again. But what's worse than any of this is what was about to happen next. The Shadow ruthlessly uses great force to hurt us including the darkest of magicks out there, sending us right back into the mess with Aizen at the center of it and his forces are cleaning house. The body count is rising very quickly, almost as quickly as its peak in Alva Towne Amusement Park.. Aizen spots us, having just defeated Ichigo and his friends without breaking a sweat: "Are you all next for me to kill? You can't stop me or Katherine or anyone working with us at this point. It is useless to even keep trying now. Prepare to die, each and every one of you. I will not make your deaths peaceful. They will be grueling, long, and painful." Mayuri rushes at him from behind and injects something into him while saying: "Nemu! I need the other things I prepared just in case this doesn't work!" Aizen turns around to face him: "You can stop trying to stop me. None of your experiments will work on me. What you just injected into me has had no effect." "Hehehe! I wouldn't be so sure about that if I were you! Wait. It really isn't working! Oh well!"
A weakening Satan appears to the side of Aizen and stares into his very soul: "I know everything about you, Sosuke Aizen. And now that I'm truly your enemy this time, I will now kill you with the aid of that Shinigami's strange sciency substance he put inside of you." Satan and Aizen start duking it out with Aizen just ignoring us for now after giving us a condescending look and speech. But 25 minutes later, Mayuri's thing has yet to take effect and Satan dies after being basically dog piled by Aizen and many others, stamping him out once and for all. After that, the fighting all around only gets more dangerous. I don't even know who to help or fight at this point besides The Shadow. We have to stop The Shadow but that can't happen unless Aizen gets axed or something. That's the only way now because teleporting to The Shadow is proving useless, even with Instant Transmission. Aizen just laughs at us as we finally get back into the battle: "So you are next. Very well. Prepare to regret ever coming to the Soul Society to oppose Nacirema along with myself." Carrion yells: "He just vanished! He's behind us! Look out!" We are saved from the damage by his shout. I use Equip to don my armor, cape, and everything else that was over my robes again. Now this is a foe I can't afford to go without my armor when facing. Thanks to it, I am able to endure all of his attacks but not for very long as his current power somehow exceeds even the durability of my armor which is shocking to say the least. But it just gets more and more terrible as the other main enemies move themselves close to us, causing their opponents from our side to go after and catch up to them.
I yell: "Damn it! Is there a single enemy left alive that I can even land a hit on?! I feel so weak right now but I know I'm not weak! These enemies are just too strong for me right now!" Yappa Yappa just randomly shows up out of nowhere with Aaroneiro's "fish bowl" in his hands. I'm almost scared of his current power but he's my friend and an ex-villain who has learned to be better. Yappa Yappa laughs: "Hey Aizen! Playtime isn't over!" The villain replies: "I thought I already killed you and Kenpachi. You just don't know when to stay down, do you?" "You can't keep a Demon Lord down forever! Now watch this! Swiftdrawer, thanks for inspiring me! I came up with something new thanks to you that you just have to see for yourself! It won't be disappointing! Enjoy my Demonic Imagination!" Aizen looks puzzled: "And how is imagination going to help you stand a chance against me?" My friend just laughs as his eyes glow purple only to be punched in the face by a.. Crimson Frieza?! However, Yappa Yappa gets up like it's nothing and conjures up nightmares and attack moves to use against both villains. Frieza tsks: "You annoying strange creature! Why must you be so hard to get rid of?!" But before anyone could say anything Goku and Vegeta punch the tyrant together. "So you've finally caught up! It's too bad this new Crimson form of mine is greater than even the other 2 transformations I've obtained by training!" Goku laughs: "You can't stay away from us forever, Frieza!" "Just shut up, you damn monkey!" Aizen looks annoyed: "Can everyone just stop making this situation even harder for even me to understand?
Now then, I'm going to finally deal with all of you n-" He is interrupted by a portal from which villains from whole other worlds began to pour out. The Shadow chuckles darkly and rises above us all: "Do any of you still think I will remain on anyone's side for long? All I want is despair, chaos, and power and I'm going to get it. My long dreamed of plan is here! I will return to my role of causing so much terror but this time, by leading a legion of villains! I won't hide anymore, everyone in existence will learn to fear me! I have called upon as many villains as I could to aid me in exterminating all of you: dead, alive, mortal, god, and so on! I only agreed to team up with anyone to give me the time I need to unleash all of these villains!" I recognize a good number of them.. I thought we were down with Maleficent and the Overtakers for a long time like several years. I was wrong. There's also Pmurt Nedib, All For One, Gorganan/Future Fluffy who was brainwashed back into evil, the Supreme Dark Lord Lucifer, Quinella/The Pontifex, Subtilizer/Gabriel Miller, POH, XaXa/Death Gun, Freddie the anti wolf, and many more. Yamamoto shouts: "What is going on now?! *looks up* I see, more foes to dispose of! I think it's about time I show my full power. Bankai!" The Head Captain of the 13 Gotei unleashes his terrifying Bankai which is like a truly massive flame. Multiple villains are burned to ash only to come back to life. The Shadow laughs: "This is my revenge for all these years split apart! I will take the mantle of overlord of everything that exists and it starts here!" Katherine gets angry enough for us to hear her shout: "You traitor! I will split you back up just for doing this! Just you wait! I will find a way to undo your near reunification!"
One of the briefly written about group of villains in my stories: the Neo-Salem Sisters speaks. It's Serena. "It's about time we finally came back to the game of reality, isn't it, my dear sisters?!" Truth be told, they aren't actually villains. It's just that a bunch of sadist men screwed with them and they briefly fell into evil only to die during the conflict over 4 years ago on Kohnanix only to be brought back later only to die again and realize where their hearts truly lie. Another of them, Dark Rose replies: "Yes, yes, dear sister. We now know what side to actually side with. We are just misunderstood witches, that is all we are deep down. BRAINS Collective. We are breaking from this symphony of evil we were brought here through to help you!" But The Shadow literally doesn't care that they just did that and broke free completely. Serena greets Blaze who is near me right now: "Hey there. I'm glad to see you after all of this time. You have become so much stronger and yet, you somehow look even cuter than you did all those years ago!" That's all I heard before the voices of all of the villains got way too loud to hear anything else. But then, someone uses a silencing spell to quiet them down. Aizen loses his composure and uncharacteristically gets angry: "The Shadow, you are getting in the way of my plans and my arrangement with Katherine Glassgate! I won't let you get away with this! Maybe I should find a way to defy everything and turn YOU into a Hollow just like I did to Shinji and the other now former Visoreds! Your soul is already unstable after all!"
Goku Black laughs: "This is really so entertaining! *kills villain after villain with ease* You have chosen to make all of our sides your enemies! I'm sure even you can realize that you may have just made the kind of mistake that only a mortal could make and yet you still did anyway!" The Supreme Dark Lord comes at me: "Hello there, A-" "I don't go by that name anymore! It's a mere alias for me now to blend in in my world and make communication less complication and less annoying. I know why you went after me. You were pretty obsessed with me back in the day and I bet you didn't like hearing about how I wrote about how we defeated you 5 years for others to view for themselves. That must have been a blow to your morale. But seriously, can villains like you stop coming back like this! It's getting really old like reality itself can't figure out anything better to do to keep this conflict going." "As they say, history likes to repeat itself! But enough small talk! I have changed since you helped defeat me back in Miitopia! I have become so much stronger than I used to be and now, I get to-" He doesn't get to finish his sentence as Yappa Yappa, after having been kind of just knocked aside by Aizen before he could truly show off the true force of his Demonic Imagination and just having finally recovered punches the SDL before stabbing him repeatedly with his pitchforks. After that, Dominic appears and starts molecularly disassembling pieces of the villain who we thought would never be a problem again 5 years ago. Several others appear as well. Bray blasts the villain with magic over and over while cautioning: "We are wasting time and energy doing this. We shall all fall if this keeps up. We have to stop The Shadow. It's the only way I can think of to stop this endless swarm of villains."
Dominic widens his eyes: "EVEN YOU CANT THINK OF ANOTHER WAY?! What a nap causation!" The SDL laughs: "All of you would truly be really entertaining to have as my slaves! Oh! I can picture it now! You in chains after being-" I cut him off: "Piss off. I forgot you were one of the most sadistic ones of all. Go back to when we defeated you just so you can relive it at this point, why don't you? You're beyond redemption, aren't you?" But still, our situation is worsening by the minute. All of our groups are getting packed up together by all of the villains. There's so many villains. When I look close enough, I can even see politicians like Biden and Trump in the mix. I hear Doofensmirtz yell: "Hey, is this turning into some kind of cesspool of evil or is it just me?!" While attacking another returning villain, I utter: "Damn it! It's like we're fighting a bunch of Revival Jams that look, act, and sound like many thousands of different villains! We kill them and then, they come right back!" All sides are packed together enough to where it's starting to get a lot easier to hear others but at the same time, hard to distinguish voices just multiple meters away from each other. And now, I'm surrounded by a vast array of different characters. Diablo laughs: "Isn't this quite the situation to be in?! I wonder if we can try consuming or taking the souls of some of these villains as they're called in order to prevent them from reviving again!" The villains together are starting to look like a slow moving giant blob of slime or something. I could make out many other villains from them all than the ones I've already mentioned, there's so many and I have such a keen eye through largely my Artist's Eye."
Among them, Zorc speaks loud enough for us to hear: "Pathetic mortals and other beings, you will join us or perish permanently. This is your final chance to make your choice." Aizen growls in rage: "Only I control my own fate. I will never yield because I have my own plans for domination!" A person who looks like a standard looking Walmart employee walks up to me calmly: "Hello there and welcome to Walmart, valued customer! Do you wish to hear of the hottest items on sale this week? If not, that's fine. Because I'm going to kill you either way!" I don't want to know what this villain's deal is. I just kill them only for them to come right back and do the same thing all over again. But then, Matt and others from Alva Towne rush through the crowd of villains they're a part of to go after me and others responsible for their deaths. Matt screams: "I'm back! And this time, I really will get what I want first and foremost: REVENGE! REVENGE!" The Executioner adds: "It's time to begin executing once again but not with the roller coaster. I'm using the good old weapons! Time to die, all of you! This is going to be so much fun for me! Not so much for you!" The energies of the villains is so overwhelming I'm starting to sort of feel like I need to throw up from all of them but I will resist this feeling. Wayyy too dark for me with my balanced shadows and all.
Kenpachi somehow shouts over us all: "Hey, shouldn't we actually do something about that energy bastard responsible for this?! Even I'm getting tired of fighting the same guys over and over again and killing them endlessly! What's the plan here?! I don't do plans but you need a plan to deal with The Shadow! Even I know that and I'm usually not rational enough to say anything like this! But I'm too bored right now to think like I normally do!" He is right. We really really need to stop The Shadow. Our only hope is that they're not complete. That's why Aizen was able to figure out that they're unstable at the moment. Aizen sighs: "I never thought I would be saying this but you are right, Kenpachi. What a world.. To have you be right about something.. We can resume settling our differences later." By this point, all of our sides had stopped fighting each other because of the endless swarm of villains who just kept coming no matter how many times we killed some of them. Shigaraki laughs: "Would you look at this?! You heroes can't do anything to stop us! You can kill us as many times as you want but we'll just come right back! Now this is what I call a great day for revenge! I'm going to destroy everything you heroes cherish so much along with all of these old and new friends of mine! There's nothing you can do to stop any of us! Just admit it, even if you worked with these other enemies of yours, there's no way you'll be able to win against all of us! So why don't you just grovel and beg for our mercy?! It's all you're good for now!"
Katherine replies: "None of you have any idea just HOW ANGRY I AM NOW!" The new god unleashes a devastating attack that kills a massive chunk of the villains only for them to come right back. A revived Satan laughs: "Even your power changes nothing! And now that I'm back already, I can immediately exact my own revenge on everyone who has hurt me in this battle!" I tune the rest of that stuff out. Instead, I stab the ground with my sword in frustration: "Sometimes, I really am sick of all of these seemingly insurmountable odds. All these damn wars and other conflicts. It's all the same deep down. Villain(s) want power, control, and/or destruction so they make the lives of others a living hell to make their twisted desires reality. It doesn't matter if they're a charismatic far right politician like Trump, a supposed resister to oppression like Biden, a supervillain like Lex Luthor, a tyrannical god, a corrupt monarch like Queen Elizabeth the 2nd, or whatever. It's always the same damn thing with these kinds of individuals and groups and entities. But still, we seriously have to find a way to end this already. We're done for with all the villains coming for us if nothing changes or things get worse. We'll be wiped out through exhaustion and sheer force if we don't resolve this in time." Soon after that, someone yells. It ends up being Ichigo: "Hey everyone! Can we please just get ourselves straightened the hell out already?! Look at us! All we're doing is keeping these villains back but it's not helping besides buying time! COME ON! ARENT MOST OF US KNOWN FOR UNLEASHING HUGE DEVASTATING MOVES OR SOMETHING?!" Others shout similar frustrations including myself. Abstractoa speaks: "All of you are right. This has to stop and it's going to take all of us to do it.
Not even I as a god could do this on my own. Not when The Shadow is behind this problem. We don't have time fighting each other over our conflicts right now. We have to work together." Aizen speaks: "I don't like this either, I must admit. But Abstractoa speaks the truth. I can just kill all of you once The Shadow is dealt with. Call this a real temporary alliance. Don't worry, I won't break it again not when my self interests depend on The Shadow's downfall. Katherine Glassgate, before you bring someone into the fold of your little faction again, make sure you know just who you're dealing with. Unless you want others like me and The Shadow to ruin everything for you again. I'm saying that because I'm interested in the data from you because I made it possible for you to become the newest god out there." Katherine replies: "I'll agree to the truce for now. But I will send all of you straight to Hell once we're through with The Shadow! That's a promise!" Despite all of the chaos and blabbering of the summoned villains, all of our sides quickly open up dialogue and begin forming a plan that began with sending out a mixed large group of fighters to deal with the villains swarming on us constantly while the most strategic of us plan things in the center of the area we're in aka the location of Research & Development in the Soul Society of all places. Or rather, what's left of it. But the majority of all of our sides are on standby in case things get too much for those sent out. I was torn between joining the front lines or the strategist meeting. But I chose to fight because right now, my sword and muscles are much more needed than my logical thinking and there's others who can come up with far better strategies than I can on my own.
I showed no mercy to our foes while fighting alongside Yappa Yappa and various others. He laughs: "Isn't this fun?! We have to kill them again and again so I get to get away with making them seriously suffer!" I slice Lex Luthor in half but he comes back: "I wish some of these villains would just stay down already. HAAAAAAAA!" I put my all into a series of attacks, killing a large group of villains in the process who then come right back but then switch to an energy conserving method of fighting to hold them all off longer. I recovered from exhausting myself earlier not just through that mana potion but also potions that actually work on restoring my energy. Including weakness potions apparently? That's just strange. But time passes like molasses due to the repetition and it drags me down on the inside. But all of us fighting keep encouraging each other so that helped a lot. Yappa Yappa effortlessly kills Brainiac while saying: "I'm far from being done! Becoming a Demon Lord has given me access to demonic magic as well as granted me higher attack, stamina, agility, and more!" His limbs are currently transformed to be like light energy which does a number on a significant number of the villains we have to keep holding off. But I can feel myself weaken. I'm slowly beginning to run out of strength and energy. If this keeps up, I will be jumped and left a bloody mess with my gear seriously damaged. Come on strategists, we need you to get us close to stopping The Shadow already and until you do, we need reinforcements.. But nothing changes and despite the efforts of my comrades around me, I fall in battle. But I'm not the only one. Many others fall before or soon after me. Even Yappa Yappa despite his intense new powers,
We are hounded by the villains who are all too happy to hurt us. My armor is broken through in so many places by several gleeful villains. The SDL laughs: "At last! My revenge is at hand!" I try to force him and the others off of me but they just won't give up. Meanwhile, Yappa Yappa screams: "This pain.. These villains.. It won't stop!" Others like Dominic, Argo, and Skyler aren't having any better luck. I am again bleeding badly. This happens all the damn time now. Just when it felt like it was over for us all, backup and reinforcements arrived. The energy beings from Planet Zeptonia are among them along with residents of Sector Infinity's underwater Aqua Infinity district. The rest of our comrades have arrived and joined up with many of those who were on standby. Grimmjow laughs: "This is getting even more exciting now! I can't wait to settle my score with Ichigo once this is over! It's going to be something else!" Harribel cautions him: "Don't get overconfident. Anything can still happen in this situation." Sakura replies: "You're right! This isn't over yet! CHAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Myself and the others who were defeated are taken out of the frontlines by many who specialize in medical related things. A couple medics are able to treat me despite my being a zombie and soon, I feel better but am instructed to rest for a while before getting back into the battle. I reluctantly obey those instructions. But I end up talking to Bray who is sighing: "I can't keep myself as calm as I was able to in past battles as much, Swiftdrawer. But at the same time, it's time for me to show just how much anger I hold."
"I know what that's like. I keep holding most of my anger back in my world despite despising society in general." We talk some more and then, a voice announces: "Here's the plan! We are going to focus on attacking The Shadow from all sides with almost everything we have! Our total combat power has a chance against The Shadow but they will be tough to outplay. They know everything about us and can counter almost any attack but even their mind has limits to what it can process. That's why they ended up being defeated 3 years ago to begin with." Most of us head right over to our common foe and unleash just about everything we have while being mindful of one another, much to the reluctance of the villains we are temporarily working with until this is over with. With my energy once again restored, I drink half of my remaining toxic potions to give myself what is essentially what a Minecraft enchanted golden apple but better is for anyone still alive and well. I can overwork my muscles once again without immediately rendering myself useless in this fight as a result. There are too many of us for even The Shadow to counter effectively so they turn themselves into a giant in order to do so. However, that's what we actually wanted to happen. This gives us all a lot more room to attack without accidentally hurting one another in the process, giving us the chance to attack harder and faster or whatever else we need to do here. The Shadow isn't concerned much about me so I am able to focus exclusively on attacking a very small portion of them again and again and no one accidentally hits me the entire time. I use everything I can use.
Regular Artist's Eye to blast creative energy at The Shadow since their form is basically solidified energy at the moment. I have my shadows go wild again against the enemy. And I cover my sword in Ki, magic, and chakra to ensure it can do damage as I begin unleashing all I have in swordplay. I use all of my attacks and techniques from the most basic such as thrusts and swings to Continuous Great Infernal Tornado Slash: 150. Additionally, I dual wield weapons so I can sick all of my other weapons I can use with one hand on The Shadow. I kept using my BRAIN Blaster relentlessly until it managed to run out of juice so I followed that up with one of my daggers, my other gun, my fist, my axe I use as an occasional weapon when I need to, my mace in the same situation, and so on until I have to just use my shield to bash our foe while continuing to unleash attacks with my sword. I even throw in a lot of kicks now that I've been focusing on jacking up my legs and feet as of late. My armor makes the kicks significantly more powerful. Previously, I said that under my armor, my muscles are like super buff and big but that's not actually true. I just kept remembering wrong while writing these stories. Instead, my muscles are well toned and I'm less thin than I am in my other body due to having a different diet in this one in how much I eat as well as how of that muscle I've built up. I'm still very much low fat in this body. That means I have some serious muscles that may make the enemy underestimate me because my body doesn't look like that of someone like Goku's in terms of muscle and shape. But don't let my appearance fool you.
I still am a lot stronger than I was when I gave up my old powers 3 years ago to help stop Gorganan and The Shadow. Anyway, lots of time passed until I ran out of strength again but at least this time, I didn't exhaust all of my mana so I'm not becoming a skeleton at the moment. I manage to teleport away before The Shadow noticed my exhaustion and blasted me again. I kept watch from a distance while resting in a decently safe place among all of the ruins of the Soul Society as the fight against them raged on. But it looks like all of my efforts hardly did anything. At least I tried. The Shadow states: "All of you are going to regret attempting to do this to me. I am more powerful than you can possibly imagine." The Light, still holding on despite the beating they got earlier replies: "That may be so but we're in this together. Now watch as these mortals show you just what they can really do when the stakes get this high." "Big Bang Kaaaaaaaameeeeeeee Haaaaaaaaaameeeeeeeeeee Haaaaaaaaaaaa!" "Final Flash!" "The Shadow! Take this, you annoying god! DIE! Death Beam!" "I am perfection! Witness my power now that Cell Max and I are one singular being!" "Special Beam Cannon!" "Masengo!" "Bankai! Zangetsu!" "Burn for eternity if you must, The Shadow! Bankai!" "Take this! You better watch, Aizen because this is coming for me next! Bankai! Zabimaru!" "This is going to be fun! *removes eyepatch* Taste my full strength for yourself!" "Hehehe! This should be a good experiment! Bankai!" "Flash Fire Fist!" "Come on, Sakura! Let's show this being what I can do and what I taught you!" "Right! CHAAAAAAAAAA!" "Ultimate Moon Tiara Action!" "Burning Mandala!" "Beauty and Love Shot!"
"Cry, Benihime!" "Miitopian Knight Barrage!" "Arr! Octuple Pirate's Plunder!" Thousands of attacks are used in rapid succession in just a few seconds many times over. Everyone is putting their all into this. Even Aizen and Katherine who would rather not use their full powers except on their greatest enemies who have been pursuing them for some time. Y screeches as they tear through parts of The Shadow. The Kanoka Spirit unleashes the fury of a volcano and an ancient civilization. The Saw Mill Killer cuts into a chunk of The Shadow with stonecutters and other things. The Wacky Clowns blast The Shadow with their UFO. Those are some other examples of what else is going on. While continuing to rest, I summon my best duel monster comrades with my deck and have them fight The Shadow as well after powering them up as best as I could. After that, I sent out Bulbasaur who has yet to evolve: "Hey buddy, show The Shadow the training we've been putting you through during some spare time the past few months! Go get em! I'm sorry I can't spend more time with you at the moment!" They do just that and deal some good damage on a tiny portion of our enemy. Meanwhile, efforts are still ongoing to keep the swarm of villains back but it's starting to fall apart. I'll have to help them once I rest up enough. There's no other choice in this matter at this point. But things looked like they were about to turn for the worse again. However, something happened. The Shadow staggered from all of the attacks they have been dealing with while also mostly unsuccessfully pushing some of us back.
Bray teleports to me out of nowhere and speaks: "We don't have much time. This is our one shot to end this problem. You're needed. We are going to seal away The Shadow or split them back up. All hands on deck as they say on ships." I nod and get up: "I'm still in need of rest but I feel better now than I did when I tapped out. Be brief in how I can help." "I shall. Just use Artist's Eye and restraining spells through your sword. You won't add much to our efforts but any help we can get is needed to pull this off." "I understand. Let's get this done." We teleport back to The Shadow together. Our foe is still recovering while continuing to be attacked from all sides and angles and still trying to knock all of us away and hurt us badly in the process of doing so. I activate my eye ability and begin casting magic: "I don't know how much any of what I'm trying to do here will help but as a knight who can still stand, I have a responsibility to help here. And I really do want to help. I hate sitting on the sidelines, being unable to fight for what I believe in and dream of. The fact that many people are comfortable doing that in my world is horrifying to say the least.. HAAAAAA!" I give it my all after drinking another mana potion. I used my full imagination to figure out what I could do to help restrain and seal our foe away. Minutes later, to my shock, we in fact managed to seal The Shadow away but even the top seal of the many seals placed onto them is showing signs of cracking slowly. Bray yells: "Don't let this damn nightmare of a villain escape! We have to divide The Shadow back into pieces by splitting these seals carefully and evenly! It's going to take so much out of us and defies how seals are supposed to work but it's our only option now!
It appears The Shadow really can't simply be destroyed after all! We shall not let them come back again!" I don't even get how it happened or was even possible but somehow, we did just that in under a minute. I was astonished. Spitting up a series of seals to split up a villain? That's unheard of and doesn't make any sense! How is it even possible? The imagination shows it's possible but to think it is tangibly so in this universe is still shocking and I'm not shocked by a lot of things I feel like I should be. But the split seals are breaking apart. If we don't do something quick, The Shadow will just reunite and our efforts will have been for nothing. Katherine suddenly laughs: "If you sinners think this is going to conclude how you think it's going to conclude, you're mistaken!" Using her new godly powers, she opens portals to various other worlds: "Because The Shadow is too dangerous to have united again, I will just return their fragments to where I found them, inside of other aspiring so called villains! They'll be thrilled to have the power of the fragments within them again! And there's nothing you can do to stop this! Nothing!" We all try to stop this and some of us like myself even end up jumping into those portals to chase after the sealed fragments which won't be sealed for much longer. I end up on looks like a colonized via bio domes Mars with a society visibly divided by the oppressive classism that keeps mostly liberals and conservatives from realizing that they're being played and oppressed by the system too in our world, dear readers. Some of my comrades are here too along with some of the villains such as a various figures from the sides of the demons, angels, Aizen, and Katherine. And we race against them to find that fragment before it's too late.
Austin screams with his microphone at our foes: "Get out of our way! We have to get it!" But they resist easily, forcing us all to fight each other while chasing down the fragment as we can feel its presence move away from us more and more. Things get more chaotic as what looks like a military police force gets into our business. Someone from them yells: "Stop disrupting the peace! All of you are under arrest!" One of the demons destroys several of their spaceships: "Shut up! This doesn't concern you!" "You are in our jurisdiction! It DOES concern us!" Our side ends up attacking them as well. I speak firmly: "We don't want you in our way either. We really despise police forces like yours. The police hardly ever serve for benevolent reasons or are truly kind at least in the US and similar entities especially. As in kind enough to not use excessive force all the damn time even on unarmed targets. The US police are just another branch of the US military at this point except they don't guard the coast or go to foreign countries to shoot people just so they can spread democracy supposedly when what they really want is oil and to destabilize any nation with a government that dares to go against the capitalist order. And you people are militarized police which shouldn't be necessary on this planet at all when most of the planet is just lifeless even now." I get a harsh response but stand my ground as we get closer to that fragment as it has stopped for some reason. Once the police get knocked out of the chase completely, we focus more on getting to the fragment and bust through a lot of walls to get to it as it is inside what looks like some kind of government body structure.
Once inside, our clash with the enemy only gets more intense and building guards and robots get tossed aside with ease. Government officials scream as the chaos continues into what appears to be some kind of office for some person in power. That person smirks: "So, you're here for the fragment that was just returned to me. Too bad but you are too weak to get it, even if all of you work together. This building's real security will take care of you. I have no time for weaklings who can't even stand up to this building's actual security!" And just like that, we are booted out of the building and are flung outside of the bio dome we were just in and now struggling to breathe because the air on Mars isn't safe for any of us. We are forced to return to the battlefield that is what remains of the Soul Society. Katherine is still laughing: "That's what you all get for believing I would let anyone else decide what to do with all of those fragments of The Shadow. And now, your numbers are much lower with so many of you now chasing after all of the fragments!" Aizen looks angry again: "You planned this in case The Shadow betrayed you, didn't you?!" The swarm of villains somehow just got past our front lines and are closing in on us fast. I kill a few villains and they don't regenerate like Revival Jam does. So this problem is coming to an end. But that doesn't make anyone feel better because Katherine has the most forces still present on this battlefield. We all briefly work together to stop the swarm of villains as more of them begin to vanish into thin air for seemingly no reason. But it's obvious why that's happening.
The Shadow is gone and split apart once again. And Katherine clearly has the fragment she originally obtained inside of her again. I can feel it. When the swarm is gone with the likes of Don Thousand, Pmurt Nedib, and Zorc being among the last to be killed or vanish, our sides fight each other again. Aizen goes on a calm rampage, attacking all other sides at once: "Your bodies and souls will all serve as fine Hollows or even Arrancars someday. My plans have changed. I want all of your bodies and souls for myself." But Katherine kills him with her massive power just like that. Or at least, that's what we all thought. But Aizen survived. "I suppose you could say I'm just a few steps away from becoming a god as well. And no, I don't mean in the same sense as I was right before Ichigo began to defeat me when he unleashed that unbelievable power against me. I mean much more than that. I have already gained some form of immortality due to my plans but now? I am going for true divine level strength, speed, defense, and so much more! And no one will be able to prevent me from doing so! Just look around! Does it look like anyone's attacks are having any effect on me? No, of course not." Katherine replies: "Why WONT YOU JUST STAY DOWN?!" Things are back to being chaotic as most sides attack anyone from the other sides. But as for our side, we are much more strategic on how we fight for the most part. But still, most of those of us who came here before God's death are dead. The numbers on all sides have dropped to horrifically low levels. That's how many have died in this chaotic long battle up to now.
And it isn't easy for any of us in BRAINS to bring anyone back from the dead. We don't have the energy or time to spare for such a thing. Not even if it's through necromancy. Mayuri laughs: "I can't wait to see what kind of samples I can dig up once all of this over! But for now, let's try this again! Nemu, give me that thing I asked you to pack in case of an emergency!" "Yes, Captain." "*is handed the thing* Hehehehehehe! Time to show our allies just what we can do! But first! Oh Aizen! You remember what I injected into you and how it didn't work, yes? *grins* That was on purpose, I was pretending to be shocked it didn't work. And you're about to find out exactly what I mean!" Aizen glares at him while fighting Katherine amongst others: "What do you mean I'm 'about to find out'? What kind of slippery trick did you attempt this time?" "Oh! You're just going to love it! It worked out very well on that perfection obsessed Espada so I see no reason why it wouldn't work on you! Now feel it as it messes with you immensely! You could say that it's a kind of neurotoxin! Isn't that just exciting?! I sure think it is!" Aizen glares at him even harder only to widen his eyes followed by his response time becoming basically non existent as he isn't able to react to anything going on anymore. The twisted scientist grins again: "Now we should be able to finish him off but I doubt the others in the Soul Society just want him to die. They want to return him to prison. So now that Aizen's perception of time is a million or so times slower than it was up until just now, all I have to do is remove him from the battlefield altogether and throw him back into prison! So easy! Isn't that right, Nemu?" "Yes, Captain." "That's my assistant for you. Anyway, I should probably also mention that it's time for that thing to help me get Aizen out of here and do some damage in the process! Nemu, distract Katherine Glassgate for me for a minute! I got to set this up!"
"Yes, Captain." Nemu stands in between Katherine and the now unmoving Aizen and speaks: "You can attack me as many times as you want but my Captain has modified me to make me virtually indestructible." Katherine looks at her in disgust while myself and some others focus on attacking the empress/tyrant from here on out. To be continued..
