Jack whipped his head around just in time to see Infinite's energy whip begin to launch. "NO!" he cried out, not even hesitating to leap between the love of his life and the tendril threatening to take her away from him for a second time. he only had a brief moment to meet her gaze before he, too, disintegrated before her eyes.
An electronic wail of anguish and despair rang out from the canary's cybernetic beak as she fell to her knees. She stared forward, locked in by her own grief and horror, barely even processing Infinite's presence anymore.
"Hmph. What a disappointment." Infinite huffed. "He had such potential for greatness, but he let his weaknesses lead him right to his downfall." He pointed his hand at Cyber once again, the canary only able to sit there and tremble while staring off into nothingness. "But at the very least, I can finish what I started."
But before he could strike, a crack of thunder in the sky drew his attention away.
Thunder? No...This was something different. It sounded more like...Fire?
The jackal looked up as a massive jet of flame rushed down from the heavens like a shooting star before redirecting itself, flying right past Cyber's head and into Infinite, sending him flying across town until it finally subsided, leaving him with just enough momentum to crash into a concrete structure in the town.
The flames disappeared as their occupant finally showed herself, a purple cat in elegant clothing. "Hello, monster! We didn't get to meet last time you terrorized this world!" She said, in an annoyingly stern and proper voice. "I am Blaze the Cat, princess of the Sol Empire, and guardian of the mighty Sol Emeralds!"
"Charmed." Infinite replied sarcastically as he gained his bearings. "Your rampage ends here, Infinite! I don't know *HOW you came back, but it ends today!" Blaze activated her flame powers again. "BY MY HAND!"
Infinite laughed as he powered up, the Valtron surging with energy as his anticipation rose. "Well then, let's DANCE, princess!"
