Chapter 5:

–The Vatican–

Asia Argento knelt in one of the pews, her hands clasped tightly as she prayed. It was what she did every day... and night. Actually, it was pretty much all she did when she wasn't healing people. The priests expected her to pray all the time. Even for a girl as devout as Asia, it all felt like a bit much, but she went along with it because that's what they wanted her to do. And if she didn't, then she would be punished…

She whispered her prayer softly. "Please, God, give me a friend. Or maybe a family who can adopt me." Asia looked up at the massive cross hanging above the altar. She didn't understand why the other orphans all ended up getting adopted, but she never was. She knew she was different. Special. Her Sacred Gear was a gift from God, but that didn't seem like a reason to keep her alone.

"So, you're Asia Argento, huh? Man, they really had you hidden away, didn't they. I had to go through like 40 churches to find you..."

Asia gasped and startled at the unexpected voice behind her. Spinning around, her eyes went wide in shock. She recognized the figure immediately. "A-Train…?"

The Supe smirked at her. "You know who I am?"

Asia nodded eagerly. "Sometimes, if I'm good, the priests let me watch TV for five minutes a week! I always turn on Vought TV where I can watch you and the other Seven saving people!" she explained enthusiastically.

A-Train did his best to hide the guilt he was feeling. All those rescues on Vought TV tended to be fake. That's not saying he's never saved people before, he probably has the highest REAL save count out of everyone in the Seven. It's just none of those ever end up on film.

"We do our best," A-Train replied, giving her a quick nod.

"The Lord has truly blessed all of you with such wonderful powers!" Asia clasped her hands together, her eyes shining with genuine admiration.

"R–Right… the Lord… of course…" A-Train stammered, feeling a bit awkward. He knew full well his abilities came from a syringe, not divine intervention. And he also knew that if he ever let that slip, Vought would have him—and probably his entire family—taken out without a second thought. So, he kept his mouth shut.

Asia tilted her head, curious. "So, what brings you here, Mr. A-Train?"

A-Train realized just how innocent this girl really was—just like Marcus had said. The speedster had popped up behind her out of nowhere, and she wasn't even the slightest bit worried he might try something shady with her. Not that he ever would, of course…but still! This girl should've learned not to trust strangers so easily. Regardless of whether or not he was a world famous celebrity.

"I'm sick," A-Train admitted to her. "Really sick. And I don't have anyone else to turn to." He wasn't sure if her powers were as strong as Marcus had said, but at this point, he was desperate for a miracle! He was scared his heart would give out on him at any time.

Asia's eyes filled with compassion as she listened to his plight. "Then the Lord has surely brought you to me for a reason. Please, sit here," she said, patting the bench beside her.

A-Train chuckled softly, surprised by how genuine she was, and sat down next to the blonde girl. She raised her hands toward his chest, and a warm green light began to glow from her palms. "Oh Lord, please bless and heal this ailing hero, so that he may continue saving lives. Amen," Asia prayed softly as the healing began.

A-Train's eyes widened. He could feel it. The pain in his chest, the constant palpitations and throbbing—it all started melting away. More than that, he could feel the effects of his addiction to Compound V being purged from his system, something he didn't even know was possible without months of rehab!

Asia's healing powers were no joke. She was a real miracle worker. For the next few minutes, he could feel his body being restored to its prime.

When she finished, Asia let out a tired breath. He had been sicker than she'd realized, and healing him had taken a lot out of her. Still, she was happy to help. She was always happy to help those in need. "Do you feel better now?"

"Thank you so much!" A-Train said, pulling her into an unexpected hug. Asia let out a cute squeak. "You have no idea what this means to me! I was gonna have to leave the Seven soon…"

Asia took a second just to enjoy the hug. She didn't get them very often. The priests tended to immediately shew people away from her once she was done healing them. The hug felt nice, she wondered if this was what it was like to have an older brother?

"...I'm just glad I could help," Asia replied wistfully since she knew what always came next. "I guess you'll have to leave soon now…" she added sadly. People always left right after she healed them…

A-Train picked up on Asia's sad tone and, now that his mind was clearer, he took a moment to really look around at her "home." The place was a dump—a rundown church tucked deep in the heart of the Vatican. He'd blown past multiple armed guards just to get here, moving so fast they didn't even know he'd been there. The more he looked, the more obvious it became. Asia was practically a prisoner, locked away and exploited for her healing powers.

It didn't surprise him as much as it should have. Vought gave thousands of kids Compound V every year, and plenty of them slipped through the cracks—or just straight-up disappeared before they even reached adulthood. Countless organizations around the world wanted their own super-powered soldiers, and Asia was just another example of that twisted system. She was being used, and it wasn't right. Sometimes A-Train considered himself to be a fraud of a hero…and he probably was, but he could at least save the girl who healed him from this life.

This would also end up settling his debt with Marcus as well. The guy seemed much more chill than his old man, but he still gave off "do not fuck with me vibes." A-Train supposed it was time to test Marcus's insane theory.

"Hey, Asia?" A-Train asked. "How would you like to be friends with me?"

Asia blinked, clearly shocked at his suggestion. "Really!? We can be friends? No one has ever wanted to be my friend before!"

'That's pretty fucking sad…' A-Train thought to himself, but kept up his forced smile. "That's right! And as your friend, I want to help you out! You don't seem happy living here, locked away from other people. You should come with me to America. The Seven can help you get a real home, maybe even a real family. You can also go to school and make other friends too!" he half-lied. In truth, Marcus and Vought would likely just surround Asia with other girls as her "friends" while sometimes exploiting her powers. But at least that was better than her current miserable existence.

"I can even go to school?" she asked excitedly. "The priests told me I was never allowed to…" She trailed off.

"You can if you come with me to America," A-Train continued. "I know a guy who can set you up with everything. Homelander's son, Marcus." A-Train explained.

"Wow! I didn't know Homelander had a son! He must be really nice, just like his dad!" Asia declared.

A-Train started choking at that declaration!

"Are you all right?" she asked in concern.

A-Train pounded his chest and cleared his throat a couple times. "I–I'm fine. Y-Yes, Marcus and Homelander are both very nice…" he said without looking Asia in the eyes.

Asia bit her lip in indecision. "But… If I leave, I'll be abandoning the church," she whispered, uncertainty creeping into her voice.

"What? No, you're not abandoning the church," A-Train said. "There are plenty of churches in America that would love to have you! Think of it like moving to a better place, where you can go to school and be part of a community that really cares about you." He extended his hand toward her.

Asia hesitated for only a moment, then slowly reached out and took his hand. "Okay..."

And just like that, the church was empty. In the blink of an eye, A-Train had whisked Asia away. Because he was a human without any magical powers, none of the Vatican's wards detected his entrance or exit.

It would be days later before the church higher-ups even realized Asia Argento was gone…

–The Tower of the Seven–

"Wow! This tower is absolutely amazing. New York is so big and so bright!" Asia exclaimed. Her eyes were wide as she soaked in the world famous Tower of the Seven. This was where the heroes she idolized on TV lived! Asia could hardly believe she was really here!

Asia then blushed bright red when she realized that A-Train and her weren't the only people in the room. She let out a squeak when she locked eyes with Homelander himself!

"And who are you supposed to be," Homelander asked her.

"I'm Asia Argento. It's so nice to meet you, Homelander! A-Train brought me here, I hope that's ok?"

"Normally, we don't allow guests up here, but I'll always make an exception for one of our fans," Homelander said, flashing a perfect smile at Asia.

"Maeve, why don't you show Asia around the rest of Vought Tower while I fill everyone else in on what's going on?" A-Train suggested. Homelander was playing nice for now, but A-Train knew that could change in an instant.

Queen Maeve sighed, rising from her seat and walking over to the blonde girl who was practically vibrating with excitement at the chance to meet her idol. Despite her cynicism about being a fake hero, Maeve felt a flicker of pride whenever she met a genuine fan. "Come on… Asia, right? Let's grab some food while the men talk," she said, leading the younger girl out of the room.

As soon as the steel doors closed behind them, Homelander turned back to A-Train, his expression growing cold. "Alright, A-Train, care to explain why you brought a fangirl here? And isn't she a little young for a groupie? She looks like she's 14," he said with disdain.

"First of all, she's 16. And second of all…gross! She's not my groupie. She's a supe that I rescued from slavery in Italy."

"Italy? The fuck were you doing in Italy?" Homelander asked while throwing his arms up in exasperation.

"Looking for her," A-Train replied.

The Deep perked up. "Wait, is she a victim of Supe trafficking? That could be some good publicity for us!"

"Shut it, Deep!" Homelander barked. "I'm the one asking questions here! Although, you aren't wrong…" he added and The Deep smiled. "What are the girl's powers?" he asked A-Train.

A-Train smirked cockily at Homelander. "Why don't you use your X-ray vision on me and find out for yourself?"

Homelander did just that, and then his eyebrows shot up in surprise. "The girl can heal!? Your heart is in perfect condition! In fact, all of your fucked up organs are!"

"Wait? What was wrong with A-Train?" The Deep asked but was ignored…

"This is a huge find!" Homalnder said. "There's never been a Supe with powers that let them heal other people before. Well, there was once…but it later turned out that guy was basically giving everyone he touched super cancer…"

"A healer? Kick ass!" Deep exclaimed.

"Shut up, Deep!"

"Shutting up, Homelander…"

"How'd you even find out about this miracle girl? I've never heard anything about a Super that can heal." Homelander asked A-Train.

"I got a hot tip from someone you might be interested in," A-Train said. "He's the one who really wanted Asia with us."

"And who might that be?" Homelander was intrigued.

"Your son…"

"What!? Where did you meet my son!?"

–Marcus–

A few hours later, I woke up in a bed surrounded by five identical girls.

Destiny definitely lived up to her reputation! I've never had a six way before–especially with identical quintuplets!

It lived up to the hype.

Especially since it seemed like Destiny and her clones were linked. When I made one of them cum, they all did! That was a pretty fun experience!

Unfortunately, all good things come to an end…

After getting dressed, I asked around the club for Translucent, but no one had seen him since he left with his own Supe escort. I shrugged to myself. I'd catch up with the guy later.

I figured it was time I finally made my way towards Vought Tower. Unless something else ended up distracting me once again.

"Get your hands off me, creep!" I heard a woman yell from a nearby alley.

"Come on baby! All I want is a little kiss!" I heard a man say followed by a genuine cackle.

You'd think there would be less blatant criminals in a city literally teaming with Superheroes? Guess not.

ZAAAAAAAAP!

"Aaaaaaarrrgghh!" I heard the potential rapist let out a howl of pain following the crackling sound of electricity.

That reminded me of all the fun times I had hunting down Stray Devils with Akeno. I couldn't help the smile that came to my lips. Curiosity got the better of me, so I veered off course to see what was going down in the nearby alley.

"Shit, I didn't mean to zap him that hard. He's not going to die, is he?" I heard the woman mutter to herself.

When I turned the corner, I saw a blonde woman standing over a guy who was twitching on the ground, his body covered in burn marks. "Nice one," I complimented her.

She gasped and spun around. "Oh! Um... hi? You startled me there..." She said awkwardly while glancing at the body nearby. A quick use of my X-ray vision told me the guy was going into cardiac arrest.

Meh, fuck him…

"You'll have to be more aware of your surroundings if you're going to be a member of the Seven…Isn't that right, Starlight?" I said with a grin, recognizing her right away. She was just as hot in person as she was on all the billboards. What a coincidence that I'd run into her in some random alley of all places?

"You recognized me, huh?" she asked, a hint of embarrassment creeping into her voice. "I'm not even wearing my costume…"

"It would be pretty hard not to! You're one of the most beautiful girls in the world!" I boldly stated.

Her cheeks flushed a bright pink at my compliment. "T—that's… thank you, um—?"

"You can call me Marcus," I said while holding out my hand.

She smiled and hesitantly shook it. "N–Nice to meet you, Marcus. You can call me Annie outside of the c–costume." Her stutters were cute.

All of my senses were heightened, and right now, my enhanced sense of smell was telling me something very interesting. Annie was definitely attracted to me. I had my devilishly good looks to thank for that. Luckily for me, she didn't have a super sense of smell, considering I'd just rolled out of bed with five identical women…

"Did you just arrive in the city? They're putting up your billboards all over," I told her.

"They are!?" Annie's eyes widened in genuine surprise. "I guess I'll have to get used to being famous now. What do you do, Marcus?" she asked, not so subtly changing the subject.

"I work at Vought," I said.

Annie genuinely smiled at me. The arousal I was smelling increased a little bit as well. "You do?" she asked in surprise.

"Well, I call it work, but in reality, I just own enough stock to throw my weight around in the company. If there's anything you feel like you need to be a better hero, you can come to me, and I'll make it happen." Of course, I was also shameless enough to mention I was rich without outright saying it.

"Really? That's so nice to hear," she said, a soft smile gracing her lips. After a slight pause, she continued, "...I did have some issues with my new costume design. It's a lot more… skimpy than I had been expecting," she admitted while cutely shuffling in place.

I held up my hand. "Say no more. You can consider the new designs officially scrapped. Although, I certainly wouldn't mind seeing you in your new costume in private." I leaned forward and whispered in her ear. I could hear Annie's heart start to rapidly speed up. The smell of her arousal practically flooded my senses at this point.

Damn, I was starting to get horny again…

She stepped back and took a deep breath to calm herself down before giving me a sly grin. "You just might if you play your cards right. I was on the way to Vought Tower a few minutes ago, would you like to escort me?" she asked while holding out her arm.

"What kind of gentleman would I be if I said no?" I immediately wrapped my arm around hers.

Before we left, she turned and looked down at the rapist on the ground. "I almost forgot about him. What should we do about him? Does he need a hospital?" she was way too nice considering this man had tried to assault her, thinking she was an ordinary woman.

He fucked around and he found out. His heart had given out a minute ago. He was thoroughly dead…

I didn't want Annie to get traumatized though, so I temporarily let go of her arm and reached down, placing my finger on his neck. "His pulse is strong," I lied. "I'm sure he'll wake up in a few hours, having learned his lesson…"

"That's a relief…" Annie sighed as we looped our arms back together and I started leading her to Vought Tower. Get fucked Hughie Campbell! This girl was going to be mine!

As we were walking I started to wonder if my old man was at the Tower?
