Season 1, Saga 1: New World, Chapter 3: Missile Wrist Rampage
(Dr. Eggman's fortress is seen in the middle of an island where waves crash against it. Eggman is in his main room looking at Station Square via the screen in front of him.)
(a robot with gold parts passes a pack of cards to Dr. Eggman.)
"Which robot will you use, doctor?" the gold plated robot asked
"Hm, let's see. They all look so lethal... mm, I can't choose." (Eggman places the pack of cards into the Selection Machine's card slot and pulls the lever to start the slot reels spinning. The reels on the screen display three images of a robot with missile-like arms.) "Ah, Missile Wrist! Perfect!" Dr. Eggman said
(In Station Square, small kids are seen playing basketball. Down below in the sewers, a red echidna, pink hedgehog in a red dress and a long blond hair girl in a red princess gown with a crown and shoes made of crystal are seen.)
"This whole thing is Sonic's fault!" the echidna said
"All Sonic did was try and stop Eggman. He didn't mean for us to get us sent here." the pink hedgehog said
"I don't know who those two are, but it sounds like they have quite the rivalry." the blond haired girl said
"Even if Dr. Eggman is the one to blame, Sonic shouldn't have pushed it so far!" the echidna said
"He's not afraid to fight back!" the pink hedgehog said
"Kinda reminds me of True, but without the fighting though." the blond hair girl said
"Sonic just likes getting into fights for kicks!" the echidna said
"I'm not going any further if you talk trash about Sonic!" the pink hedgehog said
"Same here, but it's only because I'm tired." the blond hair girl said
"I don't have time for this. See ya!" the echidna said
"You're not going to leave us alone down here, are you?" the pink hedgehog asked
"Do what you want. That's your business." the echidna said
(sighs) "This is gonna to be impossible! Hey, c'mon Knuckles! Don't be mad! Wait up!" the pink hedgehog said (catching up to Knuckles.)
"Hey! Don't leave me here!" the blond hair girl shouted (runs to catch up with them.)
(The scene then changes to a crowded beach not too far away from Station Square.)
"That guy's so cute! What is this? Oh mum... I'm so hungry!" various citizens said
(Few people are playing with a beach ball. One of the guys hits it towards the water.)
"That's okay, I got it!" a lady said
(As she attempts to grab the ball, suddenly, Missile Wrist emerges from the water. She and others scream as they run away in fear while Eggman comes in on a hovercraft with Rainbow King still cuffed and held close by from a chain.)
"There's nothing more fun than making waves at the beach! Well, now that we've established a beachhead here, let's set our sights at the city!" Dr. Eggman said
"You can't do this!" Rainbow King said
"Of course I can, I've been doing this for years, and this chain your cuffs are connected to are so you don't try and escape. Let's go." Dr. Eggman said (heading towards the city with Rainbow King in tow.)
(at the Thorndyke mansion, the others were doing their normal things as True, Zee, Tails and Chuck were working on the Tornado while Cream and Cheese were close by eating.)
"I like to keep the Tornado nice and clean." Tails said
"It is important to keep certain things clean" Zee said
"Tails, I'd love to study this plane's mechanics some day." Chris' Grandpa said
"It's not often I see something like this, in the rainbow kingdom, we don't have much machinery." True said
"Is that so?" Chris' Grandpa asked
"Do you like that?" (Cheese nods in response.) "I'm glad, Cheese!" Cream said
(Chris appears.)
"Hey, Tails!" Chris shouted
"What's wrong?" Tails asked
"Where's Sonic?" Chris asked
"He left this morning. He was going somewhere to explore... downtown I think." Cream asked
"If the police spot Sonic, they'll try to catch him." Chris said
"Catch Sonic? I don't think so." Tails said
"I just hope he's careful." True said
"Mmm, that's not his style. Sonic likes danger." Tails said
"We have to bring him back! Right away!" Chris said
(Meanwhile, Eggman, Rainbow King and Missile Wrist have entered Station Square and are confronted by S.S.P.D. at a roadblock)
"Hold it there! Take one more step and we'll open fire!" (Missile Wrist advances) "FIRE!" the police officer yelled (They shoot Missile Wrist, but their bullets have no effect on Missile Wrist's armor. Eggman is not amused by the resistance while Rainbow King was worried.)
(Sighs) "There's a word for this: boring" Dr. Eggman said
"How is the metal on that robot so strong?" Rainbow King asked
"How do you not know about stronger metal?" Dr. Eggman asked
(With gunfire useless, an S.S.P.D. SWAT officer armed with a flame-thrower tries to incinerate Missile Wrist. It looks like it worked as Missile Wrist is engulfed in flames)
"That thing's toast!" the police officer said
(When the flames die down, Missile Wrist is unharmed. Eggman floats down in his Egg Mobile with Rainbow King getting pull along to gloat at the S.S.P.D. and their ineffective attempts to stop him)
(Chuckles) "You cannot win! I can clobber you klutzes at will! Now move over or get run over!" Dr. Eggman said
"Do what he says! That robot is too strong!" Rainbow King shouted in panic
"Uh, we give up." the police officer said
"I can't stand quitters! Give them what they deserve!" Dr. Eggman said
"What!?" Rainbow King asked in fright
(Missile Wrist opens fire on the S.S.P.D. Meanwhile, True, Zee, Tails and Chris continue looking for Sonic with True and Tails in the Tornado 2 and Zee and Chris with his grandfather in their sedan)
"This is like trying to find a hedgehog in a haystack!" Tails said
"He has to be around here somehow." True said
(On the ground, Zee, Chris and his grandfather were at a park.)
(Sonic runs along and jumps off a mountain yelling in happiness as he does so. Back in the Station Square sewers, Knuckles and the two girls are still walking, but both girls were getting tired)
"Knuckles, can't we take a break?" the pink hedgehog asked
"Yeah, my feet are starting to get sore." the blond hair girl said
"You take one if you want, but I'm not stopping." Knuckles said
"Hmmph!" (In thought: a little casual conservation will lighten things up!) "So, what do you think our chances are of getting back home, Knuckles?" the pink hedgehog asked
"We'll get back, for sure." Knuckles said
"How can we?" the pink hedgehog asked
"I don't know, but we will. Somehow, we will! No matter what it takes, I have to get back. It's my mission to guard the Master Emerald. Nothing's gonna stop me from doing my job! You can count on it!"
"What's a Master Emerald?" the blond hair girl asked
"It's a giant emerald that is in the middle of a huge floating island. I have been guarding it for years, it's my duty. But until I do find a way back, I am not going to rest or get side-tracked." (Ground shakes) "Huh? What's that?" Knuckles asked
(Citizens scream and run for cover as Missile Wrist smashes through the building.)
(Laughs) "Go to the roof, we can do more damage from up there!" Dr. Eggman said
"Acknowledged." Missile Wrist said
(Eggman heads for the roof in his Egg Mobile with Rainbow King being dragged along. S.S.P.D. cruisers flood the intersection below, lights blazing and sirens wailing)
(Laughs) "It appears we're attracting a crowd!" Dr. Eggman said
"Why would you state the obvious when we saw it happening?" Rainbow King asked
"Don't ruin my moment!" Dr. Eggman shouted
"Proceeding to upper structural surface." Missile Wrist said
(Missile Wrist shoots his grapple hook arm through the floors until it reaches the roof and anchors there. It then makes its way to join Eggman on the roof. The S.S.P.D. Chief of Police can only watch in disbelief and shock at what he's seeing.)
"Ah!" the police chief shouted
"Let's get this show on the air!" (He deploys a camera from the Egg Mobile's dashboard, which then creates a large holographic screen with Eggman's picture on it as he speaks) "Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Dr. Eggman and I have some exciting news for you, exciting for me, and catastrophic for you. I have decided to take over your world and make it part of the new Eggman Empire! Resistance is futile. You will submit to my rule or be swept away like dust bodies!" Dr. Eggman said (Laughs)
(flies the Tornado over the building to see Eggman in his hovercraft) "So Eggman is here!" Tails said
"That's Eggman?" True asked
(back on the ground, the police have surrounded the building Eggman, Rainbow King and Missile Wrist are on top of as the chief was using a megaphone to talk to Eggman from where he is.)
"Turn yourself in now, bub, or we'll haul you in." the police chief said
"You must be joking!" Dr. Eggman said
"I don't think they are." Rainbow King said
"We're not playing around here, buddy! Pull over and let's see your license and registration!" the police chief shouted
"I am the one giving the orders here!" Dr. Eggman said
"Grr... oh yeah, what makes ya think so?!" the police chief asked
"This makes me think so!" Dr. Eggman said (Clicks his fingers as Missile Wrist fires a missile wrist down towards the amassed police and destroys a nearby S.S.P.D. cruiser.)
"Oh my!" Rainbow King said in fright
Now will you surrender your city?" Dr. Eggman asked
(Charred and burnt from the cruiser's explosion) "Sorry, doc, but that's not my call. We need to run it by the mayor." the police chief said
"Then go, and bring him to me!" Dr. Eggman said
(Back at Chris' mansion, Tails prepares to depart on the Tornado 2 to stop Eggman)
"C'mon, Chris, let's go!" Tails said
"Ready, Tails!" Chris said (climbing into the backseat of the Tornado with True hanging on tight behind the backseat.)
"Good luck out there, and be careful." (turns to Zee.) "Is it alright for True to be there?" Chris' grandfather said
"She's tougher than you think." Zee said
"We'll be okay." True said
"We'll find Sonic and stop Dr. Eggman. Don't you worry!" Chris said
"Goodbye, guys." Cream said
"Okay, Chris, True, hang on!" Tails said
(While True, Chris and Tails head to downtown Station Square, Eggman continues his broadcast until he notices a well-dressed man among the S.S.P.D. officers below his position.)
"Who are you?" Dr. Eggman asked
"I am the mayor of this city, and I won't be blackmailed into negotiating with the likes of you!" the Mayor said
"Really?" (Laughs and clicks his fingers as Missile Wrist fires a missile wrist and attacks a building, raining dust and debris down on the Mayor, Chief of Police, and the other officers.)
"Stop this madness!" Rainbow King said
"Not yet." (turns to the Mayor) "Mayor, now are you ready to negotiate with me?" Dr. Eggman asked
(As the dust clears, the Mayor, Chief, and officers are covered in dust and looking totally out of it. The Mayor coughs) "Uh, technically, sir, our charter doesn't allow me to surrender the city." the Mayor said
(Eggman is disappointed by the lack of cooperation. Deciding he's done with diplomacy, he readies to signal Missile Wrist with his next orders)
"Missile Wrist, destroy this place before-" Eggman didn't finish what he was saying
"Eggman!" Tails shouted
"Uggh!" (looks up to see the Tornado with Tails piloting it.) "It's Tails! I'll teach that flying furball! Attention, Missile Wrist, take aim at that plane. Blast it out of the sky!" Eggman shouted
"Acknowledged." Missile Wrist said
(Missile Wrist blasted one of its missile hands at the Tornado as Tails steered clear from it.)
"Those came pretty close!" Chris said
"Two can play that game, hang on!" (Dodges missiles and shoots a machine gun at Missile Wrist, but the bullets ricochet right off Missile Wrist's armor.) "It's no use, its armor's too thick!" Tails said
"Hey, Tails, look out!" True shouted [Missile Wrist manages to damage the Tornado 2 and it starts to go down]
"Uaaah! This is what I call an emergency!" (Pushes buttons and pulls a handle. The Tornado 2 transforms to its jet mode.) "We're in a jet-set!" Tails said
"Tails!" (gets Tails' attention for him to see True is losing her grip and tries to reach for her.) "don't worry, I got ya!" Chris said (stretches out to save True.)
(tries to reach for Chris' hand only to lose her grip and fall off the plane with Chris looking down in shock. Thought it was over, only to be saved by a cloud speeding through, looks down to see a familiar face on the cloud and hugs it.) "Cumulo, it's so good to see you, girl." True said
(Cumulo let out a happy sound as she flew next to the Tornado for Chris to see True is okay as Eggman and Rainbow King saw what happened from on top of the building.)
"That was quite the timing." Rainbow King said
"A small cloud that can talk? This day is getting really weird." Dr. Eggman said in confusion
(On the ground, Knuckles and the two girls spot the dogfight between the Tornado 2, Cumulo and Missile Wrist)
"Tails is in trouble! We've gotta find a way to help him!" the pink hedgehog said
"I've got more important things to do." Knuckles said
"Fine, who needs you?!" (turns to the blond hair girl.) "What's your name?" the pink hedgehog asked
"Grizelda, why do you..." Grizelda didn't finish
"Let's go!" the pink hedgehog said (grabs Grizelda's hand and heads inside and into an elevator.)
"Don't go in there! Those two are only going to get themselves hurt! Amy! Amy!" Knuckles shouted (heads to the elevator to try and stop the two.)
"Hmph!" Amy said
"STOP!" (stops before he could slam into the elevator doors. Growls.) "Great, what will I do now?" Knuckles asked (looks ahead to see a door that leads to the stairs.)
(Elsewhere in Station Square, Sonic races past, but comes back when he notices a crowd gathered around an electronics store display. Investigating, he sees the TVs showing the fight between the Tornado 2, Cumulo and Missile Wrist)
"What's going on up there? That's a robot on the roof! This could be an interplanetary invasion!" various citizens said (as Doctor Eggman laughs on tv.)
"Eggman! So that clown got sent here too! Time for me to join the party!" Sonic said
(Back at the battle, Knuckles has made it to the roof, but is uncertain of his next move)
"Alright, I need a strategy." (Grizelda and Amy arrive via the elevator) "What took ya so long?" (Amy pulls out her Piko Piko Hammer) "Ugh!" Knuckles said
"Hiyaaah! Leave Tails alone, you tin bully!" Amy shouted
"DON'T DO IT, AMY!" (Amy hits Missile Wrist, but it has no effect as she flails her hand in pain. She gets picked up by Missile Wrist and screams.) "Aaaah! Hang on, Amy!" Knuckles shouted
"Oh man, that thing is almost like my Grizbot! But smaller!" Grizelda shouted
"Grizbot?" Knuckles asked
"Hold it, knucklehead! One more step and the girl's a goner!" Dr. Eggman said (Clicks his fingers as Missile Wrist tightens its grip on Amy.)
(Screams) "Knuckles!" Amy yelled
(with Sonic, he continues running as he is nearing the city.) "I better pick up the pace if I wanna be part of the action!" Sonic said
(back at the building, Knuckles was trying to keep Eggman from hurting Amy.)
"Leave Amy alone, or you'll be sorry!" Knuckles shouted
"Sorry?! I'm already sorry that you and your friends have survived, and by consolation is that it seems Sonic didn't." (looks around just for measure.) "Or did he? Perhaps this is all a trap!" Dr. Eggman said
"How would it be a trap if you can't see it!?" Rainbow King asked in anger
(hits Eggman on the head with her crystal crown which surprises Knuckles.) "You better let Amy go or I'm gonna throw one of my shoes at you!" Grizelda shouted (as she lifted up one of her legs showing her crystal shoes.)
(holds Grizelda's crown in his hand.) "Don't think that can stop me. Interesting design for a crown though." Dr. Eggman said
(continues flying the Tornado around Missile Wrist) "What if Sonic doesn't make it?" Tails asked
"Oh?" (looks outward of the Tornado to see Sonic speeding over.) "It's okay, help is on the way!" Chris said
"Huh?" Dr. Eggman asked (turns to see Sonic making his way over.)
"Get him, Sonic! Huh-hah!" Chris said
(Chris tosses a ring to Sonic.)
"Thanks!" Sonic said (Chuckles)
"There he is! Get ready to fire!" (Missile Wrist tosses Amy away in which Knuckles caught her) "Hurry, fire! Finally! Hmmm? Fire away!" (Missile Wrist fires his missile wrists at Sonic only for the hedgehog to dance and taunt) "Wise guy! I'll show you!" Dr. Eggman shouted
"Sonic! Try the 'old slap on the wrist'!" Knuckles shouted
"Yeah!" (Sonic makes a face at Missile Wrist, only for it to destroy it's own wrists when Sonic jumped out of the way) "Bye!" Sonic said
"Fire!" (Missile Wrist sends out a volley of missiles from its chest launchers. They hit Sonic dead-on) Hah-hah!" Dr. Eggman shouted (Sonic emerges from the smoke in his Spin Attack. Sonic smirks as he delivers the final blow to Missile Wrist, causing Missile Wrist to blow up)
"Alright, Sonic!" Chris shouted (Dr. Eggman coughs. The smoke clears to show him now being the one charred and burnt as Rainbow King was safe from hiding behind Eggman's hovercraft)
"You lose!" Sonic shouted
"This isn't over, Blue Boy! You haven't heard the last of Eggman. Soon I'll rule this world, this universe and the Chaos Emeralds will be mine!" Dr. Eggman shouted (flees away while laughing with Rainbow King being dragged along from behind.)
"He has Rainbow King." True said
"Don't worry, we'll find a way to save him." Sonic said
"Oh, Sonic! Sonic, you're okay!" Amy said (runs over to Sonic and hugs him.)
"Take it easy!" Sonic said
"For a while there, Sonic, I thought I'd never see you again!" Amy said
"Amy, please, let me go!" Sonic said
(The celebrations are cut short when S.S.P.D. SWAT and G.U.N. soldiers arrive to confront the heroes)
"Alright, nobody move!" a G.U.N. Soldier shouted
"Oh, great! Now what?!" Knuckles asked
"Don't try running away!" a G.U.N. Soldier shouted
(Knuckles glows with fury as he's ready to throw down with the armed troops as Sonic grabs onto a ladder while holding Amy close while Cumulo flew close to the roof for Grizelda to hop on)
"Knuckles never runs from a fight!" Knuckles shouted
(Hesitant) "Hey, easy, pal!" a G.U.N. Soldier shouted
"Sonic!" Tails shouted
"Hey, Knuckles! C'mon!" Sonic said
"Please, Knuckles, let's go!" Amy shouted
(Knuckles holds his ground a little longer, then decides the G.U.N. soldiers are not worth his time and retreats with the others by grabbing the bottom of the ladder)
"Get him!" a G.U.N. Soldier shouted (They open fire)
"We'll go back to my house, guys!" Chris said
"Cream and Cheese are already there waiting for us!" Tails said
"So is Zee, he was with Tails when Sonic saved Cream and Cheese." True said
"I hope he didn't look down." Grizelda said
"Wow, them too? So we're all here together!" Amy said
"Count me out. This is where I get off!" Knuckles said (He lets go of the ladder)
"Nooo! Don't go!" Amy shouted
"See you around." Knuckles said (He glides away)
"He's not coming with us? Why not?" Amy asked
"That's Knuckles. He does things his way." Sonic said
"Not if I have anything to say about it." Grizelda said (jumps off of Cumulo as True panicked from it, and lands on Knuckles' back causing him to start wavering a bit)
"Whoa, she's tougher than she looks." Sonic said
"She must not want Knuckles to be out there by himself, she has just as much anger as Knuckles when I was in trouble." Amy said
"I hope we see her again." True said
(as Cumulo and the Tornado flew back to the mansion, Knuckles was gliding shakingly into the distance with Grizelda hanging tight on his back.)
