Season 1, Saga 1: New World, Chapter 13: Beating Eggman, Part 2
(The episode recaps from the previous episode, Beating Eggman, Part 1, starting at the White House, then at Doctor Eggman's Fortress where fighter planes and battleships approach the island and then inside the White House.)
"Last time, the President ordered an all-out attack on Dr. Eggman's island base." the Recap said
"It'll be a two-pronged assault from both sea and air." a Military advisor said
(Scene shifts to the interior of the base where Bartleby, Rouge, Topaz and a special forces team are infiltrating the base.)
"Rouge the Bat, now working for the government, was put in charge of a special forces team to sabotage Eggman's base from inside." (Scene shifts to the X Tornado and then at Tingalin Villa.) "Meanwhile, True, Chris and Tails discovered the location of the third Chaos Emerald, but their plan to unearth it was gone with the wind." (Eggman laughs as E-35 Funfun presses against the heroes with its powerful wind.) "Can our heroes hang on and capture the Chaos Emerald, or will Eggman and his windy robot blow them away?" the Recap asked
(Scene shifts to Station Square where the citizens are looking at the President via a screen.)
"My fellow citizens, the assault against the headquarters of Dr. Eggman has begun. Our military forces will press on until Eggman is no longer a threat to the world. We will not fail. Dr. Eggman must be stopped now." the President said on the screen
"Woah, this will be a heavy-duty fight." Danny said
(Scene shifts to Dr. Eggman's fortress where more fighter planes and battleships approach the coast. Several E-14 Sneezer robots appear and fire their rockets in an attempt to repel the invaders. The fighter plane which has Grizelda and Knuckles the Echidna hiding with one of the plane's missiles opens to reveal Grizelda and Knuckles. The pilot presses the button to fire. The missile flies across the air and Knuckles jumps off and attaches himself to the fortress tower's wall and begins climbing it with Grizelda hanging onto his back. Scene shifts to the inside where Bartleby, Topaz, Rouge and the special forces team continue to infiltrate through the base.)
"Hold it!" Rouge said
"Why did we stop?" Bartleby asked
"Because we're about to get a visit from Eggman's welcome wagon." (An E-12 Behemoth approaches the forces.) "I'll take it!" Rouge said
"Rouge!" Topaz shouted
(Scene shifts to Tingalin Valley where Mr. Stewart is in his car, being affected by the powerful current.)
"Poor Chris, he's out here too! This is terrible…" Mr. Stewart said
(The X Cyclone is seen falling into the ground. Funfun moves closer towards True, Cumulo, Chris, Amy and Frances who are being pressed by the wind.)
"We can't stay here!" Frances shouted
"Just hang on!" Chris shouted
"Frances, get down now!"
(Frances gets blown away only for True to grab her hand and pull her onto Cumulo.) "I got ya!" True shouted
"Stay down and don't try any more stunts!" Amy shouted
"Right! Sorry!" Frances shouted
"I hope Tails is alright!" Amy shouted
(Inside the X Tornado, Tails lies unconscious and wakes up when the ground nearby seems to shake.)
"Hey, Tails!" Chris shouted
(Funfun proceeds to crush the X Cyclone under his feet.)
(Laughs.) "That's right, Funfun. Show that furry urchin who's in charge! Put your foot down!" Dr. Eggman shouted
(Dr. Eggman laughs as he watches Funfun following his order. Sonic is running through Tingalin Villa. Tails screams.)
"Ha ha! Ta-ta, Tails! It's crunch time!" (Sonic appears.) "Ergh, it can't be!" Dr. Eggman said (Sonic smirks and tackles Funfun down to the ground. Funfun's current is now directed at Dr. Eggman, blowing him towards the sky.)
"There he goes." Chris said
(screams) "Stop it, Funfun! Shut down your motorrrrrrr..." Dr. Eggman shouted in fright
(Dr. Eggman disappears in the sky, the motor of Funfun turns off.)
"You've saved us all!" Tails said
"Yeah yeah, but, Tails, why'd you wind up way out here?" Sonic asked
"We've found out the third Chaos Emerald is here. Woah, that's right, I almost forgot!" Tails shouted (heads back to where the Chaos Emerald is and began digging for it.)
"Easy, pal!" (Funfun gets back up while Tails panic.) "Cool your jets, big guy! Just let him dig up what he came for and we'll all go away!" (The motor begins to start spinning.) "Guess I'll have to knock the wind out of ya!" Sonic shouted
"Sonic!" Chris shouted
(Chris presses a button on the X Cyclone's dashboard to release a Ring.)
"Got it!" Sonic shouted
(The ring glows and Sonic spins and pierces right through Funfun. Funfun falls back and is disabled. Tails continues to dig out the Chaos Emerald until it is uncovered, revealing to be a yellow one.)
"Oh, wow!" Tails said
"Why, Tails, you shouldn't have!" Dr. Eggman said
(Tails looks around while a claw reaches out and grabs the Chaos Emerald from Tails' hand. Tails realizes this and screams. Eggman laughs and takes off in his Egg Mobile.)
"Let's go get it back!" Sonic said
"Huh, yeah!" Tails said
(Frances jumps into the X Cyclone.)
"Frances!" Chris said
"Huh? What?" Frances asked
"Umm... I think... it might be better if you stay here." Chris said
"How come, Chris?" Frances asked
"It's gonna be dangerous!" Chris said
"Hey, Chris!" Amy shouted
"You're not staying behind, are ya?" Tails asked
"Alright! Let's just go!" Chris shouted
(The X Cyclone transforms into the X Tornado.)
"Let's go get 'em!" Sonic shouted
(The X Tornado takes off while Mr. Stewart watches them. Scene shifts into the inside of Doctor Eggman's Fortress where Rouge continues to fight against Behemoth, gracefully avoiding all of the robot's attacks.)
"Hurry, set the charge!" Rouge shouted
"It's almost set, just have to get this last wire in place, but it won't stay!" Topaz shouted
(hold out a piece of chewed gum in his paw.) "Will this help?" Bartleby asked
"How long were you chewing that?" (swipes the chewed gum from Bartleby and places it on the wire putting it in place and then sets an explosive charge.) "Okay!" Topaz said
(Topaz presses a button and the explosive detonates, destroying the ground beneath Behemoth, causing it to fall. Bartleby, Topaz and Rouge high-five each other.)
"Your situation is becoming dangerous! Those soldiers have you outnumbered!" Rainbow King said
"We must formulate a new strategy quickly before they deactivate us!" (Radar shows that something is approaching the base.) "Another enemy ship is approaching! This one must not get through!" Bocoe said
"Blast them!" Decoe shouted
(Bocoe inputs commands to fire missiles at the target who turns out to be Dr. Eggman.)
"Cease fire! It's me, you scrap heads!" (Dr. Eggman avoids the missiles.) "Ergh... the President thinks he's got me in his sights! Hah! Well, I hope you didn't rehearse a victory speech because I'm back in command now!" (Missiles are fired at Eggman.) "Hey, those are my missiles!" Dr. Eggman shouted
(Scene shifts to Station Square where the citizens are watching the fight on news.)
"The attack on Eggman's base appears to be failing. Wait, what's that?" Scarlet asked
"Huh?" Danny asked
"A new aircraft is on the scene. Is that one of ours?" Scarlet asked
"Ah, the X Tornado!" Danny said
"Tornado?!" a man asked
"Where did it come from?!" a woman asked
"There's something on the nose of the craft. It's a blue- it can't be...a blue hedgehog?!" Scarlet asked in shock
"It's Sonic!" Danny shouted
"Who is that dude?" a teenager asked
"Yeah, what's his name again?" another woman asked
"His name is Sonic! Sonic the Hedgehog!" Danny, Albert and Elmer said
(Scene shifts to the X Tornado flying towards Doctor Eggman's Fortress before shifting into inside the base with Bartleby, Rouge, Topaz and the special forces team.)
"There!" Topaz shouted
"Alright! There's no stopping us now!" (Suddenly, another Behemoth appears.) "There's another one?!" Bartleby asked in fright
"Don't sweat it, sweetie, I'll handle this robot. You lead the team to the generator room and set the charges!" Rouge said
"Alright, guys, follow me!" Topaz said
(Bartleby, Topaz and the special forces team proceed to leave while Rouge handles Behemoth. Suddenly, several E-13 Guardbot robots appear in front of Topaz and the robots attack Topaz and the special forces.)
"Missed me, slowbot!" (Rouge gets caught in Behemoth's grip but she manages to break free, but sees Bartleby, Topaz and the special forces team in trouble. Bartleby, Topaz and the special forces team dived to the ground just on time to avoid the Guardbots' gunfire. Suddenly, Grizelda and Knuckles appear.) "Knuckles!" Rouge said
(Knuckles charges at the Behemoth and destroys it as Grizelda ran at the Guardbots, destroying them with ease as the parts flew around.)
"Wow, thank you! You're one of Sonic's friends, aren't you?" Topaz asked
"We're not friends!" Knuckles said
"But you do know him, don't you?" Topaz asked
"Maybe... By the way, what are you and your crew trying to do here anyway?" Knuckles asked
"We came here to destroy Eggman's base. In fact, we're on our way to sabotage the generator room right now." Bartleby said
"There's no way you could do it! That room will be impossible to get into!" Knuckles said
"Really…" Rouge said
"We have to try!" Topaz said
"You'll fail, unless you have me along! I can't wait to see the look on Sonic's face when he finds out that I helped defeat Dr. Eggman while he missed out on the glory! That'll mess with his ego!" Knuckles said
"Sounds like you've got an inferiority complex!" Rouge said
"Huh? I...have a what?" Knuckles asked
"Oh, nothing, never mind, Knuckles." Rouge said (chuckles)
"Wherever Eggman is, he won't get away with what he's doing!" Grizelda said (takes out two wooden poles and connects them into a bo staff and swings it at a Guardbot that was coming at them onto the ground and begins bashing it repeatedly in anger as Bartleby, Rouge and Topaz flinched from seeing it.)
"Guess Grizelda has gotten braver since the last time I saw her." Bartleby said
(whispers.) "And it's best if you don't make her mad, I found that out the hard way." Knuckles said
(Scene shifts to Dr. Eggman.)
"THAT WAS ME! You tin-canned turkeys nearly wiped out the evilest genius in the universe! Bah!" Dr. Eggman shouted
"Sorry, doctor…" Decoe and Bocoe said
"I wondered why there was only one heading here." Rainbow King said
"I'll wipe that smirk off Sonic's face!" (Begins inputting commands) "This time, I'm not holding back!" Dr. Eggman said
(The ground outside the base reveals more missiles. The missiles are launched at Cumulo and the X Tornado.)
"What's that?" Chris asked
"Hang on tight, Chris." Tails said
(Scene shifts back to the control room.)
"Uh oh... look out!" Decoe shouted
"W-what's happening!?" Rainbow King asked in fright
(Eggman's seat is modified.)
"This time, the doctor means business!" Bocoe shouted
(Dr. Eggman madly pushes buttons and spins around in his seat. The X Tornado evades all of the missiles by doing a tailspin while Cumulo flies around them.)
"We're gonna craaaash!" Chris shouted
"Relax. We're fine!" Tails said
(Scene shifts to Station Square.)
"They're done for!" a man said
"No, they're gonna make it through okay!" Danny said
(Scene shifts to Cumulo and the X Tornado with a few missiles targeting them.)
"There's more coming!" Amy shouted
"Well, watch this!" Tails said
(Tails turns around and shoots the missiles down with the X Tornado's gunfire.)
"Yay!" Frances shouted
(Laughs in joy, scene shifts to Station Square.) "Pretty cool, huh?" Sonic asked
"Go Sonic!" Danny shouted
(Crowd cheers; scene shifts to Cumulo and the X Tornado. The X Tornado fires at the tower wall.)
"Hey, Sonic, will that work?" Tails asked
"Perfect!" Sonic said
(jumps onto Sonic's back.) "I'm coming with you!" True said
"But True…" Sonic started
"I need to see if Rainbow King is okay." True said
"Then you better hang on tight." Sonic said
(Sonic jumps off and smashes through the tower wall. Sonic then runs throughout the corridor with True hanging on and goes into a room where Sonic skids to a stop.)
"That's close enough! It was a fluke that you pushed it this far, but now your lucky streak is over!" (A door opens, revealing E-18 Guerra-Hard. Dr. Eggman flies above the robot's head with Rainbow King following from behind and lands the Egg Mobile on top of the robot's head while laughing.)
"Rainbow King, you're okay!" True shouted
"True!" Rainbow King shouted
"Ready, hedgehog?" Dr. Eggman asked
"You bet, Dr. E!" Sonic said
(Guerra-Hard punches at Sonic, but Sonic evades as True jumps back from it. Scene shifts to the generator room of Dr. Eggman's Fortress.)
"The demolition charges are all set, ma'am." a special force soldier said
"Good work! Well, looks like we're ready, Rouge! Hey, where did Rouge go?" Topaz asked
"I saw her and the cat go that way." Knuckles said
(Knuckles points upwards.)
"What in the world is she doing there?" Topaz asked
"No good, they aren't here." Bartleby said
"Aww... Eggman must be keeping the Chaos Emerald someplace else, now!" Rouge said
"Hey, Rouge!" Topaz shouted
"Yeah?!" Rouge asked
"Get down here! We've gotta go!" Topaz shouted
"Go on, we'll catch up!" Rouge shouted
"We need you!" Topaz shouted
"There's something I've gotta take care of first!" Rouge shouted
(Scene shifts to the control room where Decoe and Bocoe are monitoring them.)
"They appear to be working on opposite sides, but are any of them working for us? You should lock them all in until we can figure out who is who." Decoe said
"Good idea." Bocoe said
(Scene shifts back to the power room where the door slammed shut sealing them in as Bartleby jumped into Rouge's arms in fright from it.)
"Ah! Uh oh, not good…" Rouge said
"Hey, what are you up to, Rouge?" Topaz asked
"They locked us in, but not for long!" (Rouge drops Bartleby onto the ground and then tries to kick the door open but the door didn't budge.) "I can't kick through." Rouge said
"Leave it to me!" (Knuckles proceeded to punch through the door but the door didn't budge again.) "Huh?! I didn't even make a dent…" Knuckles said
(Knuckles continues punching the door to break through.)
"That thing is really tough, let me…" Grizelda didn't finish (about to rush at the door only to be held back by Knuckles.)
"Not so fast, kid! You'll hurt yourself if you try to break through it!" Knuckles said
"Is there time to defuse the charge?" (One of the special force members shakes his head. Topaz and another special force member gasp in shock.) "Well, that's it…" Topaz said
"We're not giving up yet!" Knuckles said
"He's right! Together, we have a fighting chance! Ready?" Rouge asked
(Knuckles and Rouge punches and kicks the door respectively. Scene shifts to Sonic fighting against Guerra-Hard, where the robot successfully kicks Sonic up into the ceiling. As he falls, Guerra-Hard kicks him again towards a wall. Eggman laughs.)
"He's crushed!" Dr. Eggman shouted
"Not yet!" Sonic shouted
(Sonic charges towards Guerra-Hard.)
"The pressure's on now, Sonic!" Dr. Eggman shouted
(Guerra-Hard grabs Sonic and crushes Sonic into the wall.)
"Ergh, I've gotten out of tighter squeezes!" Sonic shouted
(peeks out from behind a broken piece of metal seeing the chaos.) "oh no, if only there was a way I can help." True whispered
"That's true, but this time, you've finally met your match! Guerra-Hard's the ultimate combat robot because it's got the ultimate power supply: two Chaos Emeralds!" Dr. Eggman said
"So that's it!" Sonic said
"I've been looking forward to this Sonic-" (Phone rings, Eggman picks it up.) "Hello." Dr. Eggman said
(Via phone) "Sorry to bother you doctor, but we have a problem. A group of intruders is locked in the generator room. We're unable to determine whose side they're on." Decoe said
"Huh?" (Presses on the screen.) "Knuckles?! Those are our enemies, you dumb bot!" Dr. Eggman shouted
"Then we will eliminate them!" Decoe said
"What are they doing in the generator room anyway?" Dr. Eggman asked
"I am not certain, but they did mention something about demolition charges." Decoe said
"They what?!" Dr. Eggman asked in fright
(Scene shifts to the generator room where Knuckles and Rouge continue smashing the door. The demolition charge reads 5:00.)
"We're... running out of time!" Topaz said
"Hurry Knuckles!" Grizelda shouted
(Scene shifts back to Sonic.)
"This will be a cinch!" Sonic said (Sonic pushes himself out of Guerra-Hard's grip.)
(growls) "Get Sonic!" (Sonic runs towards Guerra-Hard.) "Run all you want! Guerra-Hard will still pulverize you!" (Sonic chuckles as Guerra-Hard proceeds to kick him. Sonic breaks and jumps onto the robot, avoiding Guerra-Hard's attack.) "Get him!" (Sonic runs along the robot and jumps.) "Gah! Stop him!" Dr. Eggman shouted
"Allow me!" Rainbow King said
(just as Sonic was about to charge through Guerra-Hard's chest, Rainbow King rose his scepter up for a white glow to envelop Guerra-Hard, making him stronger as Sonic bounced off of Guerra-Hard without leaving a scratch, once Sonic landed on a wall, Guerra-Hard slammed his hand on Sonic, keeping him in place.)
"Hey! What gives?" Sonic asked
"It seems I never had the chance to tell you earlier, Rainbow King and I are now working together until I help him find the cause for his energy amplifier to blow up." Dr. Eggman
"It was me." (Rainbow King and Dr. Eggman turned their attention to True who had walked out from hiding.) "I was the one that did it." True said
"True! Don't say that! It's not your fault!" Sonic shouted (groans from Guerra-Hard squishing him against the wall.)
"But it is! Rainbow King said the energy amplifier he made for the Rainbow Kingdom only works if everyone thinks of happy thoughts, but I was the only one that thought of... bad thoughts." True said
"So your the reason why it happened, looks like…" Dr. Eggman didn't finish (turns his attention to Rainbow King from hearing him let out a dark chuckle.)
"At long last... MY ULTIMATE TRIUMPH!" (True, Sonic and Dr. Eggman became shocked from what they heard.) "I've been wondering why the energy amplifier let out Chaos Control from a single bad thought, but when you confessed! I now know you're the one that would be the end of me!" Rainbow King shouted
(True felt something deep down inside her snap and fell to her knees with tears coming down her cheeks.)
"So that's why your energy amplifier went off. I never thought a kid like her would let off such a strong bad though." Dr. Eggman said
"That's right, and the energy amplifier wasn't to help the Rainbow Kingdom, it was to expand it by fusing it with other worlds!" Rainbow King shouted
"I can't believe a peaceful king like you would do something like this! Can't you see that True is heartbroken because of it!?" Sonic asked in rage
"It doesn't bother me! But now that I think about it, it's time to put her out of her misery!" Rainbow King shouted
(Guerra-Hard raised his other arm and slammed his fist right down at True, but when it got close to the ground, True held one of her arms up and stopped the fist from crushing her without breaking a sweat as Rainbow King, Sonic and Dr. Eggman are shocked from what they are seeing until True lifts her head up revealing the white part of her eyes are now black which scared Rainbow King.)
"I-it can't be!" Rainbow King said in shock
(Without warning, True charges through Guerra-Hard's chest, breaking through Rainbow King's invincible shield and grabs the two Chaos Emeralds.)
"But... How!?" Rainbow King asked in shock
"No, bring them back!" (True jumped to where Sonic is, destroying one of Guerra-Hard's hand freeing Sonic as she gave him the two Chaos Emeralds. The two Chaos Emeralds in Sonic's hands glow. True and Sonic rapidly blast through Guerra-Hard repeatedly before Sonic blasts through a door.) "Oh no!" Dr. Eggman shouted
"You said Guerra-Hard is your best one! Not even my invinci-field could stop them! When I find True, I'm gonna…" Rainbow King didn't finish (gets knocked away by True homing attack him and locks into battle with her as Eggman became scared from the two causing more damage to the base then Guerra-Hard did.)
"Those two are gonna blow this place up bigger than the one from the generator room!" Dr. Eggman shouted in fright
(Eggman leaves while Guerra-Hard explodes. Sonic continues blasting his way throughout the base as True and Rainbow King continue to fight. Scene shifts to the generator room where the rubble begins to drop and the demolition charge reads 2:30)
"Why is the base shaking already? The charges haven't gone off yet!" Bartleby shouted
"Ah, there's not much time to get out of here!" Topaz shouted
"We're still locked in!" Grizelda said
"Don't worry, I'll punch us out!" (Knuckles punches through the door, revealing a hole in the door.) "Alright!" Knuckles said
"Look out!" Rouge shouted
(Rouge grabs Knuckles in a flying tackle to the ground. Sonic bursts through the generator room.)
"What a show off... Get off! I wanna fight too!" Knuckles said
"Don't give her orders! She's in charge of this operation! You follow her lead!" Bartleby said
"Yeah?! Well, following her is what got us trapped to start with!" Grizelda said
"You two are cute when you're both angry-" Rouge didn't finish
(yells at Bartleby, Grizelda, Knuckles and Rouge, interrupting them) "WE HAVE TO GET OUT OF HERE NOW!" Topaz yelled
(Everyone proceeds to leave. The demolition charge finally expires, creating a huge explosion. Bartleby, Grizelda, Topaz, Rouge and Knuckles, who are outside the base, duck for cover as the impact blows upon them. Scene shifts to Station Square where the citizens are watching the explosion and cheered loudly.)
"But... where's Sonic?" Danny asked
"Yeah, do you think he made it out of there okay?" Elmer asked
(Scene shifts to the Thorndyke Mansion's garage where Zee, Chuck, Cream and Cheese are watching the event.)
"That fireball is huge! I hope Sonic isn't still in there…" Chuck said
"I bet we'll see him any second! Right, Cheese?" Cream asked (Cheese replies in agreement.)
(Scene shifts to the X Tornado where Sonic bursts out of the explosion, holding the two Chaos Emeralds they retrieved.)
"Ha, ha! Yeah!" Sonic said
"Sonic!" Tails, Chris, Amy and Frances shouted
(the group began to cheer until they heard another explosion and turned to Eggman's destroyed fortress to see more explosions happening. Scene shifts to Station Square where everyone are shocked from what is happening.)
"Whoa! What's happening now?" Danny asked
(Scene shifts back to the destroyed fortress as the explosions continue until a glowing ball of blue and white flew out the top of the fortress and towards the sky.)
"That's something you don't see everyday!" Frances said
"What was that!?" Amy asked in fright
"It's True!" Sonic shouted
"True!?" Chris asked in shock
(Scene shifts to the aerial battle where True and Rainbow King are still locked in battle.)
"If you think you can beat me! Well you're wrong! Cause I have been prepared for this for thousands of years! And once I take you down, your friends will be next!" Rainbow King shouted
(True's eyes then glowed bright blue causing Rainbow King to look in shock from it until True spin dashed like Sonic in the air spinning Rainbow King around and then blasted him straight down through the fortress, crumbling it to pieces.)
"She did it!" Sonic shouted
(True's rage then downsided, turning her eyes back to normal and passed out causing her to freefall from the sky making the others panic until Cumulo flew in fast, catching the unconscious True and flew close to Sonic on the X-Tornado.)
"Well done, True." (notices something on True's shirt to see a miniature camera attached to the collar of True's shirt.) "hey Tails, did you put a tiny camera on True?" Sonic asked
"It must've been Chuck. When True was with Chris at school one time, he told me he had a funny feeling about Rainbow King and put it on True's shirt while she was asleep." Tails said
(looks back to True, realizing her adventure was filmed.) "Guess you and I won't be the only ones that know what happened in there, kid." Sonic said
(Sonic patted True's head as True had become fast asleep from the adventure she had.)
