Darcmon and Omegamon started leading Rebel's Heart out of their base. Aside from them, Takumi, Nokia, Arata, Yuuko, Yuugo, Shoma, and Mameo led the charge with their Digimon. The rest of the resistance followed behind them. Those who could not fight were in the back. "We're about to enter the forest." Omegamon said. "Vanguard unit, stay alert. Transport unit, keep your distance."

Arata took a deep breath. Mameo put a hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry. We can do this."

"I hope you're right. We're between a rock and a hard place here."

"Then all we can do is break on through." Takumi replied. "Let's do this."

The team of fighters entered the forest first. Those in charge of transporting supplies followed from a distance. "Be on your guard." Darcmon said. "The enemy could be anywhere."

"Maybe so." Noir said. "But we have to push through this. No matter what."

"Yes...no matter what."

Nokia noticed Darcmon staring at the ground. "Darcmon? What's wrong?"

"Hmm? Oh, it's nothing really. Come. Let us forge forth."

"UlforceVeedramon will protect the convoy and those who can't fight." Magnamon said. "All we need to worry about is the battle."

Noir held up the group. "What is it?" Shoma asked.

"Wait here." The jet black Omegamon went ahead.

"Shouldn't one of us go with him?" Takumi asked. "It's dangerous to go alone."

"Noir can handle himself." Mameo replied. "Let's wait until he gets back."

Shortly after Noir returned. "I just eliminated a scout. Nobody was with him, but it won't be long before they notice he went missing."

"Then the main army is close by." Arata said. "Time to go greet them."

"Take it slow." Yuuko said. "It would be best if we can catch them by surprise."

Darcmon turned to a Starmon. "Get the others ready to start moving around us."

"Roger." Starmon saluted before turning back.

The team started moving forward. Soon the heard rustling and stopped. "This way, I heard something!" Troopmon soon came into view. Darcmon nodded to Arata who gave Diabiromon a signal. He fired his Catastrophe Cannon and destroyed two of the Troopmon before alerting the others. "They're here!" The remainder started firing back. Darcmon drew her sword and deflected shots before cutting one down. Omegamon, File and Samudramonn finished off the rest.

"What was that?!" A horde of Centarumon came in. "Enemy sighted! Open fire! Solar Ray!"

"Here we go everyone!" Omegamon said as the Resistance charged. More Digimon of many shapes and sizes entered the fray.

"Gale Claw!" Silphymon rammed into a Tuskmon. "Top Gun!" He then finished it off from a distance then looked up and dodged missiles from a Gigadramon. "Dynasmon really brought out the big guns! Brace yourselves!"

"Rapidmon, BlackWarGreymon, take out those flyers!" Takumi ordered. Two of his Digimon took flight. BlackWarGreymon clawed the Gigadramon and Rapidmon Armor shot down Okuwagamon.

A Triceramon charged at Yuuko but Samudramon blocked its horns with his swords before flipping it onto its side and slashing it apart. Darcmon and MachGaogamon took down another Centaurmon and the Commandermon traded fire with more Troopmon. BetelGammamon and Flamedramon took down two Veggiemon.

"Plasma Shot!" Magnamon fired golden orbs that hit two Megadramon out of the sky.

"Bunny Blades!" Antylomon finished them the moment they hit the ground.

Omegamon and Noir shot down two Airdramon and slashed two Diatrymon. They then heard something and stepped aside as two spiral beams flew past them. Omegamon narrowed his gaze. "Dynasmon."

The winged Royal Knight stepped forward. "You have done well to evade the Next Order for this long Omegamon. But today you and your Resistance team will fall."

"I don't think so!" Nokia stepped to Omegamon's side. "Our will is stronger than you think pal! As long as we stand side by side, nothing's going to stop us!"

Takumi and the other humans and their partners gathered around her. "I'm disappointed Dyanasmon." Yuuko said. "You knew we were here, and you come at us with such an inferior force?"

"Seems to me like you underestimated us, even though that's what did you in last time." Takumi added.

"Don't be absurd. The troops you see here are for the Digimon of your so called "Rebel's Heart". Here's what I brought to deal with you humans." Dynasmon snapped his fingers. Pillars of light came down all around the group and a large horde of Knightmon all appeared around them. "These are the finest warriors under my command, trained by me personally. Underestimate them at your own peril."

As the humans stood back-to-back Mameo looked at Dynasmon. "So, who wants to take a crack at the big guy?"

Arata looked at him as the Knightmon closed in. "I'll take him on."

"Good luck." Shoma said. "We'll take the rest."

"Be careful Arata." Takumi said. "Dynasmon is vicious." They then split up.

As Takumi and the others confronted the Knightmon, Arata and Diabaoromon started walking in circles with Dynasmon walking on the opposite end. "Sanada Arata." Dynasmon noted. "You are the human who turned his back on his kind by merging with an Eater."

"That's all in the past. Besides it's not like you didn't turn your back on your own principles when you betrayed your own king."

Dynasmon roared and charged at Diaboromon. Arata's Digimon ducked under the first swing of the knights claws then jumped over the second. He then swatted Dynasmon with one hand then the other before slamming his feet into his torso. "Meteor Fall!" He shot a red burst from his chest that exploded on him.

Dynasmon sprung back to his feet and lunged at Diaboromon. When he jumped out of the way Dynasmon stopped himself before he could fly too far past him and punched him to the ground. He stepped on Diaboromon's chest pinning him to the ground. "Gale Storm!" He howled and a typhoon engulfed them.

Noir struck down a Knightmon as Shoma looked back at the fight. "Oh no! Arata needs help!"

"Relax." Takumi said. "The guy's tougher than he looks."

"Yeah, he may be a total geek, but he pulls through in a pinch." Nokia teased.

"He can be reliable." Yuuko said. "…Most of the time."

Arata glared at them. "You know I can hear you all just fine over here, right?"

"We know." Takumi, Yuuko and Nokia all replied.

Diaboromon thrusted his claws with his extendable limbs knocking Dynasmon off him. He got back up and spun in place with his arms outstretched whacking Dynasmon repeatedly until the knight grabbed one of his arms and threw him into the air. "Dragons Roar!" He fired two beams from his hands.

Diaboromin thrusted his claws into the ground and pulled himself too it before he could get hit. "Diaboromon." Arata pointed to the trees behind Dynasmon.

Diaboromon smirked and flung his arms forward. Dynasmon prepared to block but the limbs flew past the left and right sides of Dynasmon and his nails stabbed into the trees behind him. Dynasmon looked behind him in confusion. "What are you-

Arata grinned. "Gotchya."

Diaboromon pulled himself in and slammed into Dynasmon. He slid across the ground on him and jumped off him. "Destruction Cannon!"

Dynasmon got back up and flew into Diaboromon before taking him to the sky. Diaboromon struggled in his grip before Dynasmon charged towards the ground and violently slammed him into it. He then backed up and summoned a dragon made of mist. "Wyvern's Breath!" Diaboromon looked up as the dragon came down in him in a blast of white. As the dust settled Dynasmon landed on the ground. Diaboromon was gone. He set his gaze on Arata. "And now for you." As he started marching towards him, he was struck from behind. "Gah!" He looked behind him but saw no attacker. "What?! Agh!" He was slashed again from the left.

Arata smirked as his hand was near a menu button for Stealth Hide. His invisible Digimon scratched at Dynasmon repeatedly from multiple angles. The knight took the bombardment until he figured the pattern and grabbed Diaboromon's arm. "Catastrophe Cannon!" Diaboromon then fired at point blank range blasting Dynasmon in the face. He stumbled back and held a hand at his face. He roared as he charged again.

Arata used a ATK Charge. "Let's wrap this up."

"Web Wreaker!" He shot a larger burst of energy that exploded.

Dynasmon landed on his back a good distance away. "I-Impossible...I've been pushing beyond my limits to become stronger! How could I lose?"

"Arata and I always have and always will fight with what we care for in mind." Diaboromon said.

"And that's why we're not about to lose to someone who threw his judgment and principles to the wind."

"You fool…" Dynasmon grunted as he stood back up. "These principles are the ones I believe in. And I will fight for them to the end!"

"Then this will be that end." Arata. Diaboromon prepared to attack.

"Arata, that's enough!" Takumi said. "If he's too weak to follow us, then let's not drag this any further and get out of here!"

"We just routed the Knightmon." Mameo said. "Let's escape and join the others before things can get messy! If more enemy forces pile on us, we'll be sitting ducks! Let's move out already!"

"Those things were no joke." Shoma said. "If more enemies like that catch up to us, it's game over."

"Alright, alright." Arata sighed. He and the others took off.

"Stop!" Dynasmon tried to pursue but stumbled to his knees. "Gah! Blast it! I can't just let them get away!"

"Are you alright, Dynasmon?"

The knight gasped and looked up as another force led by another knight hurried over. "Craniamon!"

"Apologies for the late arrival. Where are they?"

Dynasmon looked in the direction he saw the humans escape in. "I tried to stop the humans, but they pushed through me and my squad."

"Then we must hurry after them." Craniamon said. "Out of everyone in the Resistance it is the humans who we cannot let slip away from us. Medical corps, heal Dynasmon and his troops! Everyone else with me! Once Dynasmon's army has recovered they shall join us, and we will hunt down these curs!"

Takumi and his friends kept running as fast as they could. They only stopped when they spotted Darcmon. "Ah, there you are. I was just about to go back and look for you."

"Sorry, Dynasmon and his forces slowed us down more than expected." Yuuko replied.

"Is everyone else alright?" Shoma asked.

Darcmon looked down. "We lost a few of us…But our diversion worked. The supply runners managed to get through safely. Magnamon and the others are gathering them at our rendezvous point."

"Good." Yuugo nodded. "Let's go join them."

"Right." HiAndromon nodded. "Let's- He snapped out of his thoughts when he sensed something. "This is…!"

"What's wrong HiAndromon?" Samudramon asked.

"I sense something powerful heading right for us."

Omegamon looked behind him. "Oh no…It's Craniamon!"

"Another Royal Knight?" Mameo asked. "Great. We should have guessed they would send more than one for their big chance to crush Rebel's Heart."

"That's not all. Dynasmon is back on his feet and after us again!"

"Already?" Arata asked. "After that thrashing, we gave him? That guy's determined, I'll give him that."

"Either that, or Craniamon brought medics with him." Yuuko replied.

"Meaning all the Knightmon we held off are coming for us too…in addition to any other forces Craniamon brought him." Yuugo added. "Damn it…if they follow us to the city, it'll be impossible to carry out Hudiemon's plan."

Takumi clenched his fist. "…You guys go on ahead."

Everyone looked at him. "Takumi?" Nokia asked. "What are you going to do?"

"I'll hold them off while you guys get to the city."

"What?! Have you lost your mind?!" Arata asked. "One Royal Knight is enough trouble, how the hell are you going to take two of them plus their battalions at the same time?!"

"Arata's right!" Yuuko said. "If you're going, then I'm going with you!"

Takumi looked at them with a stern expression. "No! It's more important that we take Cache City for the Resistance or Rebel's Heart will have nowhere to go! We can't lose too much firepower! Besides, I have three partners with me, so I can hold out longer!"

"Very well." Rapidmon Armor nodded. "I'm with you Takumi."

"As am I." Dorugoramon said.

"There you go again with your crazy stunts." BlackWarGreymon sighed. "Well, guess I gotta make sure I drag you back to the others in one piece."

"Takumi, this is insane!" Nokia said.

"It's the only way." Takumi replied. "We need to capture the city and we won't be able to do it with these guys breathing down our backs. Don't worry, I'll catch up with you guys later. Now go!"

Just as he took his first step there was a hand on his shoulder. He stopped as Dacrmon walked in front of him. "No Takumi."

"Darcmon?"

The Digimon smiled to him. "The Resistance doesn't just need a base. It needs you. I will lead Craniamon and Dynasmon in a different direction. You and the others must go aid Hudie's Dream."

"What? By yourself?" Nokia asked.

"Darcmon it's too dangerous!" Yuugo protested. "We should all go with you!"

Darcmon shook her head. "As I said, we need you to take the city. That is our upmost priority. Besides, you are the most important ones for defeating the Next Order and rescuing Ami. We cannot risk any of you."

"But the Resistance needs you too!" Takumi said.

"That's right!" Yuuko added. "And…so do we! We can't afford to lose you!"

Darcmon smiled warmly at the humans. "Thank you all. But do not worry. I have no intention of falling here today."

Yuugo initially thought she was just saying that to encourage them. But her eyes looked honest and serious. "Wait…do you actually think you can take on Dynasmon and Craniamon?"

"Somewhat. I'll know for sure soon."

Takumi looked at her. "Darcmon…"

Darcmon put a comforting hand on his shoulder. "It will be fine Takumi. I promise. You, Ami, Arata, Nokia, Yuugo, and Yuuko…All of you were so young when we first met. And now look how much you have all grown. The time we spent knowing you children is my happiest memory. You gave us so much back then. And you fought to take our world back from the Eaters giving us a future. It's time I gave you something back." She then directed her attention to Omegamon and Nokia. "I leave Rebel's Heart to the two of you."

"Us?" Nokia asked.

"Omegamon and I formed it to honor your belief of humans and Digimon coming together. They are spiritual successors to the Rebels you formed for us Digimon. Omegamon and I were merely acting as proxies for when you arrive to take the helm."

"I…I don't know if I-

"But I do Nokia! Guide everyone to victory. I know you can."

"The enemy is closing in!" Noir said.

Darcmon stepped back and took one last look at everyone. "I'm counting on you. Don't worry, I'll meet you all back at the city. Mameo, please look after these children until I return."

"Are you sure about this?" Mameo asked.

"I am." She smiled at everyone. "Remember, take control of Cache City and we will have hope. Best of luck to all of you." She turned around and hurried off.

"Darcmon…" Takumi murmured.

Nokia clenched her fists while gritting her teeth. "I'll do it Darcmon. I'll lead everyone in Rebel's Heart with all my love for Digimon and this world…so please…come back to us. Come on guys, we need to get moving!"

"She's right." Arata said. "We can't let this be for nothing!" They all started to continue their march. Takumi stood there and stared into the tree line Darcmon vanished into for a bit longer before turning around and following his friends.

Craniamon looked at a snapped twig on the ground. As if someone had stepped on it. "These tracks are fresh. We're getting close."

"Craniamon!" Dynasmon caught up. "Did you find them?"

"We picked up a trail. How are your injuries?"

"I am fine thanks to you. Your medics will have my remaining men back on their feet soon and they will join us."

"Good. We'll have the humans trapped in no time."

Darcmon watched them from behind a tree to the left of them. She watched Knightmon join them one by one. "I can't let them find Takumi and the others. I have no choice." She looked at her hand. "I must use this power. Even if I cannot fully control it." She looked back at the army one last time. Then she kicked a bush next to her making a rustling noise.

Craniamon looked towards her hiding spot. "Who goes there!"

"Takumi, everyone, this way!" Darcmon shouted before running in a different direction from the others. Just slightly to the left of their path as not to arouse suspicion from Craniamon who spotted their tracks.

"It's them!" Dynasmon said. "All units, after them!"

Darcmon kept running as fast as she could. The sounds of her pursuers stomping footsteps became more and more apparent as the seconds became minutes of running. But she kept running as fast as she could. Truth be told, she knew this terrain. She knew where she was going. A light at the edge of the forest came into view and she started to slow down as she walked into the light. But it wasn't much longer until she stopped. Right in front of her outside the forest was a sheer cliff. Leading to a deep, dark chasm with no bottom in sight. She stared at the dark abyss. "This are should suffice."

"Over here!" Dynasmon and Craniamon were the first to step out. "Wait…Just one?"

"Wait…that's Darcmon." Craniamon said. "Where is the rest of your rebellion?"

"Out of your reach." Darcmon replied.

"Hmph. How bold of you and blind of us. It seems we fell for your trick."

"Indeed." Dynasmon said. "I doubt we'll be able to catch them by now. To think you would sacrifice yourself to ensure the safety of your troops. Though you may be our enemy, I applaud your resolve."

"You are mistaken." Darcmon said. "I have no intention of dying here today."

"You seem confident despite being one mere Champion level Digimon against two Royal Knights." Craniamon said as the rest of his and Dynasmon's armies emerged from the trees behind them and began to surround Darcmon. "She is just one rebel, but a figurehead for the Resistance. Take her alive. She can tell us about her friends."

"Yes sir!" They slowly stepped towards Darcmon.

Darcmon closed her eyes and clenched a hand at her chest. "I may just be one Digimon. But my resolve will not waver." Horrid memories flashed into her mind. Harmony Village being attacked by Eaters. She and a few others fought desperately against the swarm. But one by one those she swore to protect were devoured. She alone was left on her knees screaming in the remains of her home. She opened her eyes, and they glowed red. "I won't let such a tragedy happen ever again. I will protect the little ones no matter what!" He body glowed with red flames.

Dynamson lifted his head. "Hmm?"

"HRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Darcmon burst with red energy. First, she Digivolved into a HippoGryphonmon. Then the flames engulfed her, and a larger form rose up from the fire making the army step away in fright.

Craniamon held up his shield ad he and Dynasmon looked at the growing form towering over them. "Wha-what is this?!" He turned to a Knightmon. "You there! Send word to Examon!"

"Sir!" The Knightmon retreated.

Takumi and the others continued their march and as soon as they exited the forest, they were overlooking the city from a distance on a cliffside. They spotted Magnamon and UlforceVeedramon with the rest of Rebel's Heart. "There you guys are!" Dinohumon said. "We were getting worried."

"Sorry about that." Arata replied. "Did everyone make it?"

"Not everyone I'm afraid." Magnamon sighed. "We lost many good Digimon. But frankly given the circumstances, we're lucky to have gotten away with this many."

Antylamon looked up. "Wait, where's Darcmon? She went back to look for you."

Everyone looked at the humans as they looked away uncomfortably. "Darcmon, she…" Shoma sighed. "We detected Dynasmon and Craniamon pursuing us and…she volunteered to lead them away."

"What?!" Lilamon gasped. "By herself?! That's insane!"

"She insisted she would be alright." HiAndromon replied. "It's as if she had a plan to defeat them."

"A plan?" Magnamon asked. "Against both Dynasmon and Craniamon? What could she possibly- The knight froze as if he had just remembered something. "…No. She couldn't mean too…"

"Magnamon?" Yuugo asked. "What's wrong?"

Suddenly a violent bust of wind brushed over everyone. "What the?" Takumi looked up. A giant pillar of red light rose from the distance. "What is that?!"

"Wait, that's not far from where we left Darcmon!" Nokia shouted. "What's happening?!"

Magnamon sighed. "I knew it. She unleashed her hidden power."

Everyone looked at him. "Her hidden power?" Yuuko asked. "What do you mean?"

"We told you, remember? Darcmon absorbed a very powerful Digicore. She must have unleashed the form of the legendary Sovereign Digimon, Zhuqiaomon."

"Sovereign Digimon?" Mameo asked.

"Four ancient Digimon who once ruled this world." Omegamon replied. "According to legends, during their battle to save the world from a fearsome beast, they sacrificed themselves and nearly all of their twelve Digicores were destroyed, save for one each. Darcmon holds the core for Zhuqiamon."

Takumi gritted his teeth. "Darcmon…"

"Do you think this can allow her to defeat Dynasmon and Craniamon?" Arata asked.

"That depends." Magnamon folded his arms. "She chased off Crusadermon when she used it the first time. But after that she was asleep for three days. She can't control such devastating power."

"Hey, there they are!" Everyone saw a Gallantmon and Magnadramon flying towards them. Himari waved from Rikka's back. "Hey there guys!"

Magnamon looked at them in surprise. "Gallantmon?"

Arata stared at the knightly Digimon. "Oh boy…"

Kouta looked from Yukimura's shoulder at the group. "Wait, is that Mr. Mameo and Shoma?!"

"It's Himari and Kouta!" Shoma and Mameo ran over as they landed.

"Man, am I glad to see you two!" Himari said as they climbed down.

"Heh. That should be my line." Mameo smirked. "Are Takuto and Luche with you?"

"They're both back at Hudie's Dream HQ." Kouta replied.

"So, these are your friends?" Nokia asked walking up to them.

"That's right." Shoma nodded.

"Oh, you must be the guys who came to this world with Keisuke." Himari said. "He was pretty worried about you all."

"I guess some introductions are in order." Mameo said. "Everyone this is Kouta and Himari and their partners Yukimura and Rikka. They help out in Flotia in our Digital World. Himari, Kouta meet Arata, Nokia, Yuuko, her brother Yuugo, and Ta- Mameo was gesturing to each individual as he introduced them but when he came to the last one, he realized he was no longer there. "Wait, where's Takumi?"

Everyone looked around. "What? He was standing right next to me a moment ago!" Yuuko replied.

"I don't see his Digimon either." Yuugo added.

Arata groaned and brought a hand over his face. "Oh please, please, please, don't tell me that idiot went back for Darcmon, he's gonna get himself killed!"

"Should we go back and grab him?" UlforceVeedramon asked.

"There's no time!" Yukimura objected. "Hudiemon and the others will begin their attack any minute now!"

"We can't just leave him!" Nokia said.

Yuuko let out an exasperated groan. "He's always so stubborn. Samudramon, we're going after Takumi. The rest of you get to the city."

"You're going alone?" Yuugo asked.

"I'll be fine. Takumi is traveling with three Digimon. If Samudramon and I go alone, we should be able to catch up."

"Yeah, Yuuko, think about this for a minute. What will you do once you find him?" Arata asked. "I very much doubt you can convince him not to-

"Let me worry about that, you guys just go help Keisuke and his friends!" Yuuko blurted before running into the trees. "We'll meet you back at the city!"

Arata sighed in exasperation. "Now who's being stubborn?"

"Is it just me, or did she sound a little desperate?" Himari asked.

"Yuuko's not used to showing her emotions." Yuugo replied. "She's more worried about Takumi than she wants to admit. I should go after her, she might act rashly."

"Yuugo wait." Mameo said. "I get that you're worried, she's your sister after all. But don't you think we should respect her wishes and leave this to her?"

"But I-

"Darcmon did what she did so we all could go help Hudie's Dream. Yuuko's doing the same. Ignoring that to chase after them now is saying we don't trust them."

"I hate to say it, but Mameo is right." UlforceVeedramon said. "Hudiemon will begin the assault soon, and if we're not there to meet her on the other side both Rebel's Heart and Hudie's Dream will be put in peril."

"Besides, give those two some credit, they're tough." Mameo said. "Let's just believe in them and focus on our goals for now."

Yuugo cringed. "Yuuko…Takumi…I'm sorry." He turned back around. "Alright, let's go before I change my mind."

Everyone nodded. "We'll get as close to the city as we can without being spotted and wait for Hudiemon's signal." Kouta said. "Then we get in there and raise some serious hell!"

"Sounds like a plan!" Nokia said. "We're gonna cut lose in there and take the city as our new base!"

"Alright, Kouta, Himari, lead the way." Mameo said. Everyone started walking down the path to the bottom of the cliff.

Dynasmon grunted as he was flung back and watched another of his Knightmon perish. "This must be what Crusadermon reported. It was you who stole the Digicore we sought!"

"Breath of The Gods!" Craniamon grunted as he blocked a burst of flame with his shield. "So, this is a Sovereign Digimon…"

Above them a giant bird with eight wings two sets of eyes and multiple Digicores floating around its neck. It howled as a bunch of Coredramon flew at it and they were blown away. "I will not lose!" Dynasmon took flight and flew above it.

As the giant phoenix looked up, Craniamon positioned himself under it. "Storm Waltz!" He summoned a cyclone that swooped up from under the Digimon making it lose control.

"Wyvern's Breath!" Dynasmon brought down a dragon of white fire down from above. The Digimon cried out as it was crushed between two forces from above and below. Craniamon and Dynasmon roared as they kept up their assault.

"Brave Metal!" Dorugoramon charged into Craniamon while burning with flames making him stop his attack.

"Black Tornado!" BlackWarGreymon swooped into Dynasmon as a black hurricane making his attack cease as well.

Takumi ran into the clearing with Rapidmon Armor next to him. He looked up at the giant bird in awe. "Wow…" BlackWarGreymon and Dorugoramon laded next to him.

The Knights looked at him. "Tch. Just what we needed now." Craniamon grunted.

"Takumi!" Yuuko came out of the trees with Samudramon.

Takumi looked over his shoulder. "Yuuko?! What are you doing here?!"

"I could ask you the very same!" Yuuko then noticed the Digimon. "Wait…is that…?"

The bird looked at them and spoke. "Takumi…Yuuko…why are you here?"

The two froze. They knew the voice. "Darcmon…?" Takumi muttered. The silence was broken by a devastating roar. They all looked up to see a gigantic red dragon holding a huge black lance charging towards them. "That's…."

"Examon!" Yuuko gasped.

"Draconic Impact!" The dragon knight swooped in and rammed into Darcmon-or rather Zhuqiaomon.

"The dragon emperor of the Royal Knights is here." Craniamon said before turning to Takumi and Yuuko. "The tables have turned."

"Oh please. We beat this guy already." Takumi replied.

"Perhaps." Dynasmon folded his arms. "But now he is not being held back by damage done by Eaters. Not to mention he has further enhanced his strength since then." Examon turned his gaze to Takumi and Yuuko. "And he holds a strong grudge against humans. You and your friends in peculiar."

Examon howled at the two. But then Zhuqiamon charged into him from behind. "You will not harm them!" Examon batted her off him and they started fighting.

"We have to help Darcmon!" Takumi said.

Dynasmon and Craniamon stepped in front of him. "You will have to go through the two of us first."

"Let's make this quick." Yuuko said. "I'll take Dynasmon, you defeat Craniamon!"

"Okay." Takumi nodded.

"Heh, heh, heh." Everyone looked back towards the trees and saw a Digimon. No ordinary one to be sure. This tall black Digimon wore a golden mask, a pirate hat, blue pants, and a black and red cape held up by eerie arms coming from his back. He was folding his more normal arms and smirking. "Now this is getting interesting."

"Who is that?" Takumi asked.

The knights looked at him in surprise. "You…! What are you doing here?" Craniamon asked.

"Oh, don't mind me boys, I was just passing by and came across quite a spectacle! We got three Royal Knights tussling with two humans and a Sovereign Digimon of all things! Sounds like you're having quite the party!" He drew a sword from his scabbard. "Mind if I join?"

Takumi faced him. "I've never seen anything like this. The guy gives me cold shivers…"

The enemy laughed and charged at Samudramon who barley had time to block the blade with his own. "Urk! F-fast…!"

"A Samudramon, eh? Let's see how you compare to the one I know." As they pushed away the enemy drew a second sword.

Rapidmon was about to rush in to help when he heard a roar and looked behind him to see Craniamon run at him. He ducked under the first spear swing then backflipped over a thrust. "Dragon's Roar!" Dynasmon fired at BlackWarGreymon who blocked with his shield then Dorugoramon rushed at him.

Examon reeled back his giant lance and it glowed red. "Pendragon's Glory!" He charged towards Zhuqiaomon.

As he charged at her Zhuqiaomon pulled back her wings. "Crimson Blaze!" As she swung a spiral of flames came down that collided with the lance. As Examon struggled against them, fire sprayed everywhere, and the ground started to shake.

"Whoa!" Takumi fell over. So did Yuuko. Everyone looked up. "That power is incredible…!"

Yuuko was kneeling close to the cliffside. And the ground under her started to crumble. "Ah!"

Takumi looked in her direction. "Yuuko!" He got up and dashed to her. Just as the ground under her started to collapse and she shrieked, Takumi dove and barely caught her hand. Yuuko yelped as she dangled by her wrist. Below her was a sheer cliff with no sign of a bottom.

Takumi held onto her like his life depended on it. But he slowly started to slide towards the cliff. "Takumi…let me go." Yuuko said.

"What?!"

"At this rate we're both going to fall! Save yourself!"

"No!" Takumi shouted as he pulled harder. "I won't let go! I can't abandon my friends!"

"Takumi…"

The eerie looking Digimon cackled and put one of his swords away then took out a pistol. "Isn't that precious."

Rapidmon Armor gasped as he saw him take aim at Takumi. "No!" He charged into him just as he pulled the trigger. A purple blast hit the ground right next to Takumi sending him and Yuuko into the chasm.

"YUUKO!" Samudramon shouted.

"TAKUMI!" Rapidmon, BlackWarGreymon and Dorugoramon yelled. Takumi and Yuuko screamed as they plunged into the dark abyss. Even as they fell Takumi held onto her hand.

Yup. Shit meet fan. Will the attack on Cache City succeed? Will Darcomn triumph against her foes with her hidden power? And what will become of Takumi and Yuuko? Answers will be reveiled next week.
