CHAPTER SEVEN

REVELATIONS

"We have a huge problem," I replied as I stood up and stretched to release the tension in my body. "Dorian, please slow down and tell us how you ended up on my doorstep half-dead, with your clothes torn to shreds and burned, your arm missing, and an unconscious human girl on your arm."

Rosalie screamed, "We trust you with our secret and the first thing you do is bring another human to us, was your sister not enough she knows too much!" Her frown at the mention of the girl was a clear indication of her displeasure that another person knew their secret. I could see where this was going, so I made the decision to fix the problem before it got worse.

"Carlisle, she's not human; she's almost like me." I replied quickly, and when I was asked how long I had been unconscious, I discovered that I had been unconscious for thirty minutes. Angela was exhausted when she eventually woke up, but she could still recall some of the events.

I recounted to everyone what had transpired, including my encounter with Freya, my altercation with Hansel, how Angela came to my rescue, and all of the things my Guide had told me in the mindscape.

I sat next to Angela and asked her what was wrong because everyone was silent but she appeared to be holding back tears. "My gramps used to tell me these stories, how we were descended from Magic, but I never took her seriously, and why would I, as they were just bedtime stories told to kids." she said. "I'm currently living in a fantasy world where people want to kill me and my friends. This is not what I want, and I don't want to endanger my brothers and family."

I gave her a hug and simply held her while she continued to cry. Rosalie had previously been angry, but now she had a sympathetic expression on her face. Carlisle and the others were still processing what they had heard when he said, "Dorian, I will phone Charlie and inform him that you will be staying for the night as you cannot let him see your arm, judging by the growth your stump has gone through in the last hour, I'm guessing you are going to have a new arm by tomorrow." After hearing Carlisle's words, Angela gazed at the stump, wide eyed and said, "Will it grow back?"

"Yes, it is already growing back, but we do not know how long it will take," I said with a laugh. However, we can talk about it later; for now, I have to get you home. I responded, getting up to give her my hand, which she accepted.

"It is alright." I still remember how it feels, so I can use the shadows just as I did previously. She got up, went onto a shadow, vanished, and emerged in another room as everyone stared at her in bewilderment. "Wow, that was amazing." Emmett said, beaming from ear to ear. "So that's how you did it." I added. "Thank you. When my powers initially awoke, I kind of did it instinctively, but now I knew what to do," she replied.

She hugged me and whispered her goodbyes before she shadow jumped back home. Carlisle made the arrangements over the phone with Charlie, and we stood in his study discussing the events of the previous hour.

"Although I've always wondered how vampires came to be, I'm not sure I feel any better now that I know the truth. I thought we were doomed for all eternity. However, you appear to be bearing the weight of the entire planet. Are you prepared for what is ahead?" he asked.

I considered my response while staring out the window before answering, "Am I not? I was just instructed that need to combine five pieces of a pendant that also happens to make the wearer stronger and use them to unearth a hidden pyramid and use its secrets against a depowered Paragon who is far older and stronger than me. How can I overcome that? If it weren't for Angela, the paragon's minion would have killed me after wiping the floor with me. I need to train and get stronger."

"I know it's a lot to process, but know that you have my family and my complete support in the matter," Carlisle said, appearing to be lost in contemplation. "We will have to research these pieces of the pendant, they would have shown up in history or cultural myths, we will have to go to different countries and places to find clues," he added, as I listened in total quiet. Then he turned to face me and said, "Dorian, what are your plans for college?"

"I want to go to medical school and become a doctor, why?" I asked. "Because I want you to graduate early and become my intern or apprentice, I will talk to Your father about how you will graduate early this year with Rosalie and Emmett and be my intern as I mentor you until you are ready to go to college. That will be the cover story we use to travel all over the world without rousing suspicion." He finished.

After I accepted, Carlisle promised to go see Charlie and speak with him. We then discussed the possibility of visiting the Denali clan in Alaska, as they could know where to seek for the pendant components.

A chilly hand touched my shoulder as I sat in Carlisle's Study, lost in contemplation. "I heard what you said about your last fight, if it is training you need, let me help you, and if a fight comes our way, I will stand with you," Jasper stated with a serious expression when I looked up. I told him, "Jazz, I can't let you do that; it's suicide." "You underestimate me, I think it's time I told you, my story." He said, with a slight smirk on his face.

Unknown POV

"Lykos, my old friend, it's been a millennium, you do not write, do not call, how do you think that makes me feel." I said, as I stood in the center of the wolf den, surrounded by werewolves in human form, the den smelled strongly of sweat and rotting flesh, most likely from the human remains the werewolves had eaten. Lykos tried to project confidence while sitting on his throne, but his dread overcame him, and he continued to squirm and avoid eye contact. "Lord Etrius, what brings you to my humble abode?" he asked, his voice trembling a little.

"I have been searching for my allies and creations since my last encounter with Edenia; none of you helped me; only my creations sought me out. Why is that?" I asked, trying not to show how angry I was at the coward.

"My lord, if there had been the slightest murmur of your survival-," I crossed the room in a heartbeat and lifted him by his throat out of his throne and began to strangle the life out of him. "You Imbecile, you craven, half-witted fool, do you think I did not notice you fleeing the battlefield against Edenia's Champion?" To think I let this lily-livered coward be my champion once. I tossed him away from the throne to his fellow wolves, before sitting down on the throne. the den had gone quiet as the other wolves watched the interaction with a scowl on their faces. "Luckily, I am in a forgiving mood, although I cannot allow a weak-minded man like you lead the wolves, so I will take over as leader, starting immediately

There were whispers and murmurs as the werewolves processed this, then four men stepped forward and the one in front of the others spoke, "We do not bow to outsiders, fool, the pack will never follow someone who is not a wolf, leave our den or face the might of the strongest wolves " I laughed at this and stood up from the throne and walked over to stand in front of the entire pack, before facing the four men and saying, "do your best, children." This was hardly going to be a fight; it would have been challenging had it been a full moon but right now the wolves were in a weakened human like states and would not be a problem for me.

The first man came charging at me and tried to sidestep onto my exposed flank, but I intercepted him and tore off his head. The second man tried to take two swipes at my face with his clawed hands, but I caught his hands and drop kicked him, tearing off his arms in the process. I dropped one arm and used the other as a club, and then I attacked the third man, hitting him so hard he flew across the room.

With hesitation, the fourth ran for the gun wall, picked up a gun, and fired five shots at me. I was able to stop them with ease thanks to my telekinesis. I then sent the bullets back, making them spin in a circle around his head before reducing their spin radius, which caused the bullets to tear the man's head to pieces.

The last man looked at it me with hate filled eyes, then looked at his fallen comrades, in a pool of their blood and gore, tears swelling in his eyes, he said, "You will pay for this, I swear on Talon's name I will rip you to shreds." "I killed your god, Talon, stupid boy." I said, with a laugh, the man then pulled what appeared to be a broken pendant and put it on around his neck.

There were gasps and screams from the rest of the werewolves watching the fight as the pendant on the man began to glow and he transformed into a huge beast. The transformation took me by surprise, I was not aware that the children of the moon did not need the moon to transform, I looked over at Lykos, who was as stunned as I was by the new development. The beast charged towards me at an unfathomable speed, which I had not believed to be possible for their kind, before I could raise my guard, he reached me and hit me with a three-swipe combo before picking me up with one arm, slamming me into the ground and throwing me to the other side of the cave.

I gingerly got up as the other werewolves cheered and encouraged the beast. Lykos looked like a proud father witnessing his son walk for the first time. Did they not know who I was, had they forgotten who I was, it was time for the world to be reminded of my might, weakened as I was by Edenia, I was still a force to be reckoned with.

I got up and willed my wounds to heal faster, I had underestimated the beast and used a tiny fraction of my power, now I was angry and decided to use half. The beast roared in defiance, and before it could take a step towards me, I rushed towards it, a vapor cone forming around me and a sonic boom sounding off behind me, the beasts' eyes were wide as I appeared in front of him and landed a devastating left hook to his right abdomen, a shockwave was created and the beast was sent flying across the wolf den.

The other wolves were now silent, shock and fear evident on their faces. The beast got up but had a fist shaped crater on the right side of his abdomen which was healing rapidly. "Come beast, let us finish this." I said and it came charging once again, before it could reach me, I fired two concentrated fireballs at the beast and charged it, slide tackling it launching it in the air before quickly getting up, and jumping above it before it could fall.

I hit the beast with an overhead double hammer fist and the beast was sent hurtling down onto the ground. The impact created a mini crater that had the entire den shaking. I followed through with a superman punch enhanced with black eldritch lightning and landed it cleanly on the beast's head. An explosion erupted and the other werewolves had to shield themselves from the rock debris and dust. The air cleared and the beast had been flung to the other side of the cave. There was a strong smell of burnt fur. The beast struggled to get up, half its face was burned off, exposing the bone. I walked slowly towards the it, "Is this all the champion of talon can spare?" I taunted.

The beast, enraged by my words got up, roared at me and once again charged towards me, "this squabble bores me." I said, extending my hand towards the beast, and stopping it mid-air. I closed my fist and my telekinesis began crushing the beast. Unnatural popping and snapping sounds filled the den as the wolf was compressed into a small ball, its howls of pain filled the cave, causing the other werewolves to look away, some even sobbing and pleading with me to stop, "Must be the beasts loved ones." I thought, enjoying their pain. I was the paragon of power and domination; this is what I lived for. The beast was now dead on the ground, a pile of fur, meat and bones. I walked back to the throne and sat down before addressing the rest of the wolves.

"Is there anyone else?" the room had gone silent. Heads bowed in fear. "From now on you follow my commands when I say, no questions asked." They all nodded. 'Good', I thought. "Clean this mess up" I commanded, pointing at the gore from the recent fight, five wolves including Lykos ran over to the crushed beast and the four women began sobbing next to it's remains. I watched as Lykos bent down and pocket something from the beast but thought nothing of it. 'Now for the vampires.'

The Edenian boy was gaining allies and soon he would begin his quest for the pyramid, by the time he would have found it he would be strong enough for me to drain my power from his catalyst and whatever he had gained, not only returning me to my former glory, but making me stronger than ever, with no challengers for my might.
