August 1993
After a month of planning, Esme and Carlisle took Rosemary and Alexander to London and to Diagon Alley for their school supplies. McGonagall had come and helped them get into the alley and set up bank accounts in Gringotts for the twins so they wouldn't carry loads of money each trip. They were lucky that the bank the Cullens use is the muggle sister branch of the magical bank and they were able to transfer the money easily than if it wasn't. And because of how rich the Cullens are, the twins got two million each transferred into their accounts to use on anything.
Though that was not on top of the four thousand that Carlisle had spent on his children's tuition for the school year for both of his kids. Before leaving, Rosemary and Alexander got small coin pouches connected to their accounts with their desired design and names on it. All they had to do was old it in their hands, think of how much they wanted to spend at a store and open them to see exact change for their bill. Rosemary loved the magical coin pouch she got as she now had a fast was of using her magical currency whenever she was in the magical world.
The next stops after the bank were to get the robes and other things that Rosemary and Alexander needed for their schooling. They both got a trunk that had an apartment in it so they could have their own space away from the humans surrounding them at the school. This also would help them with hiding the blood they had owl ordered so no one would be disgusted or freaked out when they saw the blood. They even got a few extra books to read up on so they could be up to date on everything that they need to know about their new world.
They didn't get pets for themselves just incase someone at home got hungry and at the animal and they would be upset over the death. They next day was their birthday and they celebrated by Carlisle taking them to get take out at any restaurant they wanted and their own jumbo cupcake. Rosemary and Alexander both loved this as they got want they wanted and their parents didn't forget that they loved celebrating their birthday.
September 1993
Rosemary and Alexander were now ready to depart for their very first year of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The Cullen adults would miss Rosemary and Alexander and they would miss their family, but they wanted to go to the school and make friends.
"Are you sure you have everything?" Esme asked
Over the years, since she was Carlisle's wife and mate, she had become Rosemary and Alexander's mother in all ways except blood, or well venom.
"Yes mom, we have everything." Rosemary said as she rolled her eyes
Rosemary loved her mother dearly, but sometimes she could be a bit overbearing and overprotective like an overprotective mama bear.
"I'm just making sure." Esme said
"Mom, everything's going to be alright." Alexander said
"I'm just going to miss you that's all." Esme said
"We know and we'll miss you as well." Rosemary said
"Behave and learn things. Got it?" Carlisle stated
"Yes dad." Rosemary and Alexander said in unison
They had heard this everyday before they went to their muggle/human schooling before they got their Hogwarts letters two months ago. Rosemary and Alexander soon hugged their parents goodbye before they went onto the train and got into a carriage before the train started moving. It wasn't the first time the Cullen twins had been on a train, their father had taken them on a train two years ago when they moved from Smith River, California to Ithaca, New York. They took the train as Rosemary and Alexander couldn't run as fast as their full vampire family members just yet as they were not strong enough to do it yet.
Though they had been working at it everyday so they could build up the stamina that they needed for the abilities they have. They even have special powers that they didn't get from their magic, Rosemary can freeze time with the snap of her fingers till she snaps again. And Alexander can bend water or any liquid for that matter and do whatever he wants with it, like freezing it or boil it. They discovered their powers very early on in their lives, and luckily that there were no humans who had noticed them getting their powers or there would be a lot less humans walking the earth right now.
Rosemary found out about her powers at five years old when she was bored one day and only snapped to do something with her hands. Rosemary's powers were trippy as whenever she used them, it looked like she was teleporting if she was walking or something happened to people that they can not explain. Rosemary liked that part of her powers a lot as if someone was being rude, she would use her powers and make something bad happen to them. She especially liked using them on bad men who tried to hurt women and she did very bad things to them that she learned from her uncle Jasper.
Alexander discovered his a year after his sister did when he was mad at Emmett for trying to get him to wear a life vest in the river. Whenever he was near water, Alexander would move the water to people and freezing them to the floor or a pole just for the fun of it. Alexander is also really good at boiling pasta for his mother and helping her make food whenever there is boiling involved. Though, he does love cooking food with his mother no matter what the situation is.
And whenever Rosemary and Alexander use their powers together, it is really fun for them and maybe harmful to those around. See whenever Rosemary is full physical contact with someone, they are not affected by her snap and can do whatever they want within means.
Soon the train got to Hogsmead station and all the second years and up went one way all the while the first years went another. Rosemary and Alexander were nervous about the transportation as the boats didn't look all that sturdy and could tip over any second. There was also the fact that they had read in one of their books that there was a giant ass squid, basically a full kraken, in the lake that they were on. But once they reached the other side safely, they relaxed some as they were now on dry land and could walk away from the questionable lake.
The large man who Brough them to the school raised a gigantic fist and knocked three times The door swung open at once. A tall, black-haired witch in emerald-green robes who the Cullen Twins knew as Professor McGonagall stood there proudly. She had a very stern face and the twin's first thought was that this was not someone to cross by any means of power or persuasion.
"The firs' years, Professor McGonagall." Said the large man
"Thank you, Hagrid. I will take them from here." McGonagall said with a small smile.
She pulled the door wide enough for everyone to fit through with no pushing or waiting for a turn through so they could see. The Entrance Hall was so big you could have fitted the whole of the Ithaca house in it and have some room to spare. The stone walls were lit with flaming torches like the ones at Gringotts, the ceiling was too high to make out, and a magnificent marble staircase facing them led to the upper floors. They followed Professor McGonagall across the flagged marble stone floor.
Rosemary could hear the drone of hundreds of voices from a doorway to the right where the rest of the school must already be. But Professor McGonagall showed the first years into a small empty chamber just off of the main hall to wait for their cue to walk into the next room. They crowded in, standing rather closer together than they would usually have done, peering about nervously as they waited.
"Welcome to Hogwarts," said McGonagall. "The start of term banquet will begin shortly, but before you take your seats in the Great Hall, you will be sorted into your houses. The Sorting is a very important ceremony because, while you are here, your house will be something like your family within Hogwarts. You will have classes with the rest of your house, sleep in your house dormitory and spend free time in your house common room."
There was a small pause for dramatic effect.
"The four houses are called Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. Each house has its own noble history and each has produced outstanding witches and wizards. While you are at Hogwarts, your triumphs will earn your house points, while any rule-breaking will lose house points. At the end of the year, the house with the most points is awarded the House Cup, a great honor. I hope each of you will be a credit to whichever house becomes yours. The Sorting Ceremony will take place in a few minutes in front of the rest of the school. I suggest you all wait and smarten yourselves up as much as you can while you are here." McGonagall said
Her eyes lingered over her new students for a moment and looked to the new set of twins starting this year from America. From her limited interactions with the Cullen family, she knew that they would do great things if they got their parents brains. Though she also knew that a child's surroundings could also contribute to how smart the child actually was compared to the others around them. Just take Harry Potter, after the death of his mother, he was surrounded by people who really didn't care about studying.
But the Cullen twins who had a surgeon father and a mother who had degrees in architecture and art history was really great when it came to being surrounded by smarts. Mcgonagall had left only for a minute before the ghosts had come talking to everyone and scared all the Muggle borns into thinking that they were going to die. McGonagall had soon come back in a hurry when she heard the yelling and the screaming coming from the room. The professor soon made the ghosts go away before turning back to the students.
"The Sorting Ceremony is about to start. Now, form a two by two line and follow me." Professor McGonagall
Rosemary got into line behind a boy with black and white hair like Cruella De Ville's, with feeling oddly as though her legs had turned to lead. Alexander got behind his sister, and they walked out of the chamber, back across the hall and through a pair of double doors into the Great Hall. Rosemary and Alexander had never even imagined such a strange and splendid place, though they had been to Volterra and met the Volturi there. It was lit by thousands and thousands of candles which were floating in mid-air over four long tables, where the rest of the students were sitting.
These tables were laid with glittering golden plates and goblets. At the top of the Hall was another long table where the teachers were sitting for their meals. Professor McGonagall led the first years up here, so that they came to a halt in a line facing the other students, with the teachers behind them. The hundreds of faces of the students staring at them looked like pale lanterns in the flickering candlelight and firelight from the fires along the walls. Dotted here and there among the crowd of the student body, the ghosts shone misty silver in the dim light of the room.
Mainly to avoid all the staring eyes, Rosemary had looked upwards and saw a velvety black ceiling dotted with stars. It had been bewitched to look exactly like the sky that outside as she had read about it in Hogwarts: A History when she was able to read the book.
It was hard to believe there was a ceiling there at all and that the Great Hall didn't simply open on to the heavens above.
"When I call your name, please come forward, sit on the stool and I'll put the sorting hat on your head so you can be sorted into your new house." McGonagall said
The sorting soon started up with everything going alphabetical and when it got to Alexander, as his name usually came first, he was nervous.
"Gryffindor!" The hat yelled out
Alexander soon walked to his new house table where the people there were cheering for their new housemate of the year. Alexander seemed happy with this as he never had a group of people he could call his own, all the friends he got, he had to leave when the no aging had caught up to the Cullen family.
"Cullen, Rosemary." McGonagall announced
Rosemary walked to where the hat was and she let it be sat on her head and after a while, the hat made its choice on her house.
"Ravenclaw!" The hat announced out loud.
It wasn't that unusual to have twins be split up while at Hogwarts as they usually had different personalities from their time at home or whichever parent they favor. Rosemary walked to her new table where the people cheered like the Gryffindor house had for her brother when he was sorted before her. Rosemary sat at the table with the others of her new house and they welcomed her with open arms even though they had no idea about her half vampirism. While McGonagall had promised blood whenever they desired, Rosemary was still nervous about this situation and not being near a stable life for her vampirism.
After dinner, Rosemary and the other first years that were sorted with her were taken to the Ravenclaw common room. When they reached the statue, it asked the riddle.
"What has words, yet never speaks? Tells stories yet never experiences them?" The statue asked
"Anyone got the answer?" The female prefect leading them asked
Everyone shook their heads as they didn't know the answer to the riddle.
"A story book." Rosemary said
"Correct." The statue said as it scooted to the side.
The prefect who asked for the answer seemed impressed with how Rosemary got the answer to the riddle that fast. Rosemary seemed to be a real fit for Ravenclaw house due to her swiftness on the riddle and she thought it was due of how much she read her father's medical books.
"This is the common room for Ravenclaw house. Here you can do anything, homework, reading, hanging out with your housemates. The books that lines the walls you can read, just put it back once you are finished with it." The male Prefect said
"The dorm rooms are separated by gender. The boy dorms are up the right staircase and the girls dorms are up the left. They are clearly labeled with the boy and girl symbols above each threshold. And be warned, if any boy tries to go up the girls stairs, you will be blasted back." The female prefect said
"Now it's time for you to find you room and meet your dorm mates." The male prefect said
The two prefects left for their dorms and the new students went up their stairs and found their rooms that they would be staying in. When Rosemary got to her room she saw that she was only rooming with two other people who had been sorted into Ravenclaw.
"Hi, I'm Ashely Mooreson." Ashely said
"I'm Brenda Vadlin-Bones." Brenda said
"I'm Rosemary Cullen." Rosemary replied
Over the next month, the three girls became the best of friends and did everything, from going to classes and eating meals together. When Ashely and Brenda found out that Rosemary was a vampire/human hybrid, they didn't care about it one bit as they were told that Rosemary drank only animal blood.
