Thank you to everybody who read or reviewed the last set of messages. I appreciate all your feedback.
You're now all wondering how Afia ended up in the other timeline with a heartbeat. Let's see how we got there.
Conversation 84: Previously in Wakanda
Purple Princess: We finally have the ratio of Pym particles to monolith particles and are ready to begin the testing phase.
Dad: It only took three hours.
Purple Princess: It would have taken less time if you and Mr. Pym could put aside your differences, and I didn't have to play intermediary. You do remember I'm the kid?
Dad: This is not on me this time. I've gotten really good at playing with all the other boy band members since I started therapy. It's not my fault Pym never went. However, in his defense, your grandfather was the type of man who would make you hold your grudges for decades against the entire line.
Dad: We need to get this done soon if we want to pull off the neat little trick while the purple one is distracted by torturing the boyfriend of his little girl. If that means giving the ant family space, then that's what we're gonna do.
Purple Princess: I don't think we'll be able to do this that fast even with you staying in another room. I wish Doctor Margarita was here to help everybody work through their bullshit.
Dad: Language, young lady.
Purple Princess: Oh, you're channeling Cap Dad.
Dad: He curses like crazy, but usually not on channels. Unfortunately, we've been a little too busy for his gratuitous cursing.
Purple Princess: TMI
Purple Princess: You'll just have to get over yourself because the cousin would rather have you in the room when we do the tests. Bring Cap Dad with you.
Dad: Again, I am not the problem.
Purple Princess: Janice has got Hank to agree to play nice for the duration of the tests.
Dad: Thank the universe for that. Which member of the ant family is going to be the guinea pig? Please say Hank.
Purple Princess: I thought I would run the test. Wanda and the cousin can put my consciousness into my summer body if things go badly. I've already made a backup.
Dad: Yeah, no.
Dad: Only time travel for you once we work out the bugs.
Dad: Also, I am concerned that you decided to make a backup.
Purple Princess: Purple, genocidal maniac roaming the universe. I like to be prepared. Besides, I am the best option because of that.
Dad: Nope. I'm on my way.
Dad: When we get there, we will decide who will do the test. Preferably somebody over 18.
Purple Princess: Not you.
Purple Princess: Or Cap Dad.
Dad: Take the time wristlet off.
Purple Princess: How do you even know I'm wearing it?
Dad: You don't think I've been watching since I woke up.
Of course, I've been watching you on VTC.
Dad: Or whatever the Wakanda equivalent is. The holographic interface is fantastic, and I need to do better.
Purple Princess: And you couldn't let Ana be the intermediary? Let baby sister do the heavy lifting.
Dad: Hank actually listens to you for some reason.
Purple Princess: I think I reminded him of Hope before he shipped her off to boarding school. There is still some bitterness there.
Dad: Of course, Pym practices the Howard Stark school of parenting. Send your kid away instead of explaining why things are dangerous.
Purple Princess: You sent Miles to Malta, and you're trying to send me there, too. Earlier, you wanted me to go to the other timeline now you don't.
Dad: Yes, but you know what's happening and why I want you in Malta. I'm also not forcing you to go because I know you won't do that.
Dad: I don't want you to go to the other timeline anymore because Bucky made your other dad realize that sending the kids and the ring pops to the same place is a stupid idea. Therefore, you will hand the prototype to any adult in the room.
Dad: Not the Princess.
Purple Princess: Fine. I'm giving it to Scott. At least until Daisy gets here.
Dad: Thank you.

Steve quickly got dressed as his fiancée argued with his daughter. He's not surprised she volunteered to test out the time GPS. She was way too much like her father.
"Let's go before Afia decides to test the time watch out anyway, even though I told her not to," Tony said as he put his watch on. Steve is pretty sure it's the one with a suit inside.
"You think that she would do that even though you told her not to?" Steve asked.
"I'm pretty sure Wanda's magic is making her more like me, and doing the opposite of what Howard told me to do is exactly what I would do," Tony answered just as Ana interrupted the couple.
"Ms. Stark-Rogers is no longer in the Palace." The AI announced, causing Tony to get severely annoyed.
"Yep, Wanda is making her my mini-me to punish me for my many sins. She used the watch even though I told her not to?"
"She did not use it intentionally." That's when a projection filled the room of Afia attempting to take off the watch only to blink out of the room.
"Ana, roll back the security footage," Tony ordered the AI.
"Ana, zoom in on Afia's hands," Steve asked from behind as he wrapped an arm around his fiancée. He could tell Tony was panicking now that they realized this was an accident.
"It looks like Afia accidentally activated the time GPS when taking off the unit. It was an accident."
"That should not have happened. I designed a safety feature to prevent accidental time travel. I would like to avoid more of our people getting stranded."
"Unfortunately, that was not added to the current prototype because Hank Pym vetoed it."
"Probably because it was my idea." Steve thought that could be a possibility but said nothing. "We're coming to the lab."
"Do not blast Pym," Steve tells his fiancée as they leave their suite. He considered waking up the other kids but decided against it, even though he wondered if he would need Peter's help to hold Tony back. If anybody knows how angry and dangerous Tony can get when he worries about his family, it is Steve.
"I'm not going blast Pym, but I might punch him." Steve gives Tony a look.
"Unless he is already working on getting my kid back. Then I'll think about not hurting him for being a petty toddler."
"The Princess is. Janet Pym is also assisting." Ana answered from Tony's watch. Of course, she was still listening.
"Because she's the one with common sense. Will be in the lab in a few minutes. Work on figuring out where the fuck she is."
"Calculating," Ana replied.
"We will get her back." Steve kissed Tony gently.
"I hope you're right."

"Yes, I know I shouldn't have let her put on the prototype in the first place. You can yell at me once we get my cousins safely back here." Shuri said after the entire team was yelled at by Tony for the last 10 minutes. She understands why her cousin's father was so upset. She was upset.
"It would've been OK if my safety feature was on there, but someone decided not to include it," Tony said, glaring directly at Hank Pym.
"It was unnecessary for the prototype. We had other things we needed to focus on first." Dr. Pym argued.
"My child is now missing, so it was necessary. And if you say she's just an android, I will punch you." Considering how quickly Dr. Pym stopped speaking, that was probably exactly what the man was planning to say.
"Do we know when she went?" Capt. Rogers asked.
"The prototype was set to the other timeline. I assume that's where Afia went." Scott answered.
"Date and time?" Dr. Stark asked.
"October 14, 2023, 8:46 AM. I do not have an exact location." Shuri answered as her cousin's father gave her the I know you're lying look. It's very similar to the look she gets from her mother.
"Kamala's bedroom at Pepper Potts' condo in Manhattan."
"And why was my daughter planning to go to that place specifically?" Tony asked.
"We've been in contact, and she agreed to help us keep other you alive in the beta timeline. The reason why Afia volunteered to do the test is so she could pass the three sets of gloves to those in the other timeline." Tony looks angry, but Capt. Rogers seemed almost amused, like he was expecting his stepdaughter to do something like this.
"Who?" Tony asked.
"Kamala, Miles, and Carol Danvers."
"I have to get better at supervising you kids. Of course, an entire conspiracy was going on behind my back again. I bet you helped Ana."
"I am unable to confirm that." The AI told him.
"Absolutely guilty. So, this was less of an accident and more of a deliberately ignoring me. When Afia comes back, she is grounded until October 14, 2023. I don't care if she will be a legal adult by that point, still grounded." Afia's dad was definitely angry.
"No, she was taking the watch off and handing it to me," Scott interjected.
"I didn't want her to go, so I insisted you be here. I planned to either ask Scott to drop off the gauntlets or have Daisy and Leo do it when they run their test. She really did accidentally activate the watch when taking it off." Shuri decided it was best not to mention that Afia had the backpack filled with gauntlets for the other timeline with her.
"So, she can come back on her own if everything works. Why isn't she back yet?" Steve asked.
"The problem is that your daughter disappeared without another vile of Pym particles for the return trip," Hank responded. "She's definitely Howard's granddaughter despite everything." Shuri could tell Steve was barely holding Tony back at that moment.
"So, she's stranded in 2023 in the beta timeline?" Steve asked.
"That's the best-case scenario. Afia may have ended up somewhere else." Shuri explained.
"Like our 2023 instead of their 2023? Captain Rogers asked.
"Yes."
"Ana, when's the next window to the other timeline?" Dr. Stark asked.
"Three hours from now. Unfortunately, there was a window right before Afia's disappearance. We received several messages from the other timeline."
"OK, we wait for confirmation from the other timeline that she's there, and then we're sending in the rescue team." Tony practically ordered.
"I will go wake the others up." The Princess told the group. She hoped her cousin knew what she was doing.
To be continued…
