Chapter 69: A True Rival
Kai was face to face with Nemona, who had transformed again. Her blue aura was radiating around her, and her cape and white hair floated in the gentle wind generated by the power of Flow.
A ball of sweat ran down Kai's face as he clenched the water rapier in his hand.
Nemona clenched her fists. Then, she threw a Mach punch at the air which was powerful enough to send a shockwave of wind Kai's way.
It was too fast for Kai to dodge, so he crossed his arms in defense. The intense gust pushed Kai's body back, threatening to send him off his feet, but the boy remained strong. After the wind stopped, Kai uncrossed his arms.
And saw Nemona who was now standing in front of him and pulling her arm back for another punch. Kai let out a gasp as Nemona stopped her punch short, a violent gust of wind flew from behind his body.
Kai watched with extreme amazement as his rival's white hair turned back to normal. Nemona smiled and lightly karate-chopped her friend on the forehead. "I win." She said.
Kai began to pout.
"One more time!" Kai cried. Nemona grinned widely.
"That's the spirit!" She shouted. "One more ti-"
"No!" Aeon shouted. He approached the two of them with crossed arms. Both Nemona and Kai spun their heads to him. "That's the third round you guys have gone on. Kai, listen, you have to use Grevard this time."
"Wha-" Kai said. "But-"
"No 'buts'," Aeon said. "You've been using Quaxwell for a long time now. You can't neglect Greavard."
"Aw… but if Nemona sees that I'm using Greavard, she's gonna go easier on me!"
"He's right!" Nemona said.
"One more match, pleeeease?"
"Yeah- pleeeaaase?" Nemona chimed.
Aeon narrowed his eyes in annoyance. "You started fighting because Kai had to learn to fight with Grevard!" The android shouted.
"Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaase?" Kai said, batting his eyes and cupping his hands together. "Just one last fight. Just one!"
"Yeah, please! Pretty please?!" Nemona shouted, doing the same thing Kai was doing. "That'll be the last one, then we'll bring Grevard in to join us!"
Aeon sighed. "Fine," He said. "BUT-"
"YAAAY!" Nemona and Kai shouted in unison. Nemona jumped for joy and Kai hugged Aeon before planting a kiss on the grumpy-looking android's cheek.
"Let me fini-"
"Did I mention," Kai chimed, interrupting Aeon, "that you're suuuuuuuuuper cute when you're bossy?"
"You-" Aeon's face became slightly red at Kai's comment. He sighed and shook his head. "You didn't let me finis-"
"Aeon's the best!" Nemona shouted.
"You didn't let me finish!" Aeon said in a raised voice. Nemona gasped and covered her mouth with her hands. Kai pulled himself off of Aeon and raised his eyebrows.
"You guys can fight on one condition. Kai, let Greavard watch."
"Oh…" Kai said. "Yo-You you want me to-"
"Kai, for the love of-..." Aeon took in a short breath and clapped his hands together. He pointed his clapped hands at Kai. "Listen. Grevard's not scary. He literally wouldn't hurt a Butterfree let alone you, unless you commanded him to, but that's not the point. The point is, he's harmless. Worst thing he's going to do is cling onto you."
Kai went into his pocket and took out Greavard's ball, and then took in a deep breath. "You're right-" Kai said. "You're- you're right. He's- he's not gonna do anything to me. Yeah. Huh….when did it start getting hot… anyone else sweating?"
"No?" Nemona said.
"Just let the Pokémon out. If it does anything, I'll protect you." Aeon said.
"Yeah- Okay. Here we go." Kai dropped the Pokéball and watched it fall…
But then quickly caught the ball just before it touched the ground.
"Maybe we should think about this-"
"Kai," Aeon sounded like he was seconds away from full-on screaming. "I'm going to rip that Pokéball out from your hand and let Greavard out in three seconds. Three. Two-"
"OKAY. OKAY!" Kai cried.
Kai dropped the pokéball, spun around and put his hands over his head like he was ducking for cover.
Out from the ball came Greavard, hopping with joy and letting its tongue out. The moment it saw Kai, it approached him, and Kai yelped and ran all the way to Aeon and hid behind him.
"LOOK AT HIM- HE'S GONNA EAT ME ALIVE I KNOW IT!" Kai cried.
Aeon pinched the bridge of his nose, then crouched down to the tiny Grevard before putting his arms out. Greavard hopped with joy before running into Aeon's arms. Aeon stood up with the panting ghost type in his hands.
"You should back up," Aeon said. "I have him in my arms,".
Kai yelped and ran to hide behind Nemona.
"Is it looking at me!? Please tell me it isn't looking at me- it's looking at me, isn't it.." Kai muttered.
Nemona sighed.
"Guys?"
Arven's voice made everyone turn to him. He had his phone in his hand, and had a look of slight impatience. This caused Aeon to make a look of worry. "While I'd love to sit here and watch you guys train..." Arven scratched the back of his head. "I really...really... have a herb to get. I don't know if I can wait till you get your gym badges."
"Arven," Aeon said. "I understand, but-"
"Aeon." Arven crossed his arms. "You're worried because you think the Titan Pokémon's gonna be too strong for us… but we have Nemona."
Aeon raised his finger and opened his mouth as though he were about to protest, but then paused and lowered his finger and closed his mouth.
"I think what we should do is this: you guys can have your training session, but after you're done can we please finish our business with the Titan Pokémon? After that, I promise that I won't complain anymore. You can challenge every single gym in the world for all I care after that. Please?"
Nemona and Aeon looked at each other, then back at Arven.
"Sure," Nemona said.
"All right…" Arven said. "That's all I wanted to say. Sorry if I seem like a jerk."
"Está bien. You're fine.," Nemona said. "Why was it you wanted to get those herbs, anyway?"
Arven fiddled with the bang of hair that hung in front of his face. "...It's for… ugh. I'd rather not say. It'd dampen the mood. Sides, I think you have other things to worry about."
"Like?" Aeon asked.
"Like the fact that Kai's running away from Grevard right now." Arven pointed over Nemona's shoulder and saw that Kai wasn't there anymore. Aeon gasped, noticing that Grevard was no longer in his arms.
"GET THIS THING AWAY FROM MEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" Kai roared.
The trio watched Kai running in circles from Grevard, who was happily pursuing him like he was on a walk.
"...Huh." Nemona said. "Look at him go."
Aeon breathed a sigh.
"By the way… Nemona..?" Aeon asked. "You want to explain to me what the heck happened to you with your transformation? You and your Lycanroc's power level skyrocketed."
"Oh," Nemona said, "Well.."
Director Clavell sighed as he sat in his desk, staring at the Team Star team leaders standing across from him.
Giacomo, Mela, Atticus, Ortega and Eri- all five team star bosses all were there, giving him attention. This was something that the director had wanted for a long time, but… their leader, Penny, hadn't arrived yet.
Clavell was eyeing the boy he hadn't seen before, Giacomo. He was wearing a school uniform vest under a black jacket. He had on a white cap, and black hair that looked like wings that reached up for the sky and hung on the sides of his head. In his hands looked to be a laptop, which was previously open but Clavell had asked him to close it during the meeting. He had on white headphones, which was blasting music, of which Clavell had to ask him to turn down.
"So," Mela said, "When did you say our leader was going to come?"
"They said…that they would come tomorrow," Clavel said.
"How do we know you're telling the truth?" Mela continued, "I mean- no one's ever seen or heard from our boss…ever since…they left."
"Correct," Clavell said.
"Our leader remains cloaked in the dark shroud that is mystery," Atticus closed his eyes and crossed his arms as he spoke. "Alas, they are not the reason why we are here today,"
"Ortega told us that you're hidin' a real sick ability. Flow, right?" Giacomo said, smirking. "Why don't you tell us about it?"
Eri said nothing and crossed her arms.
"Flow…" Clavel said. He closed his eyes and sighed. "It's a…psychological state, rather than a technique. One has to be truly present in the moment of battle, and at the same time, at peace with oneself. Those are the requirements to activate that power."
"Yeah… I'm havin' a hard time believin' this kinda power exists," Giacomo said, "Flow is something that comes from songs like rap or something. Not battle."
"No, it's real," Mela said. "I saw it, from Kai."
"I must concur," Atticus replied. "I too have seen it from Kai.
"I saw it too, from this old man," Ortega said. "We know it exists. Just take our word for it. Anyway, you said that there were three forms," Ortega said. "What are they, and what do they do?"
"The first form of Flow… can only in the middle of battle." Clavel explain. "The user's eyes change into a different color. Blue…the color of calmness. Stability. With this, the user's physical ability and speed is heightened. The second and third forms aren't levels that I've personally reached yet… but the second form has been seen and recorded. It was achieved very recently by the strongest trainer in the region, Geeta."
"Really..?" Eri said, uncrossing her arms and raising her eyebrows.
Clavell nodded. " As far as we know, this second form of Flow is only achievable with Tera-Fusion. Because it taps into the Pokémon's power- which reacts to their trainer's will. We believe the abilities granted by the second form is Pokémon-specific. When testing Geeta earlier today, we saw many things. When using Kingambit and using her second level of Flow, Geeta obtained golden gauntlets that floated behind her, which wielded a blade that was reminiscent of her Pokémon's Mustache."
"What?!" Mela cried.
"No way..!" Giacomo cried.
"That's not all. Wth her new Pokémon…what was their name..? Iron Valiant..? Yes, Iron Valiant. When Geeta is in her…we'll call it, her 'base form', the end result after tera-fusion is her wielding the weapon that Iron valiant has, a double-bladed spear. But after transforming the second level of Flow… She gained an electronic cape, and her double-bladed spear disappeared. They were replaced with arm-blades. "
"Whoa..." Eri said.
"So not only do we have the ability to have our Pokemon fight beside us with Terastialization..." Clavell continued, "We soon will be able to teach the entire academy how to use the power of Flow to transform to a new level, specifically for Tera-fusion specialists." Clavell pushed in his glasses. "However, this doesn't mean that Terestialization is completely irrelevant. It still has a time and place to be used. That being said... allow me to explain why I told you all of this."
Clavell shot a glare, one that came from the kindness of his heart. One that commanded the immediate attention of every single student in the room.
"I tell all of you this… because you could have begun to learn this technique sooner after testing was finished," Clavell spoke like a strict parent. "Like I have told Oretega, after going through tests, we were planning to teach every student that attends this school. You would have missed out on it, if you continued to skip. Do you see now that you're stunting your growth as trainers by skipping class again and again?"
Every team star boss looked down.
"This conversation about the future of Team Star will continue tomorrow when your leader arrives," Clavell said. "You all may go."
All five leaders turned around and left. Clavell sighed to himself, remembering the words Oretega's group had said.
'Team Star helped me so much!' Ortega's voice echoed in the old man's mind. 'It helped me realize… that it was okay to be me!'
'It helped me...find friends when people made fun of me so much that I thought that I was unlovable...'
'It helped me find out that I was actually a pretty cool guy, and not what my bullies said I was.' Another team star member had said.
"It helped all of us.." Ortega had said. "This team helped us so much and made us so happy...and you want to take that away?"
Clavell closed his eyes once again once a thought went into his mind. One that he was trying to push away from himself the entire time. Maybe it was one that even Penny, the leader of team star...was thinking herself.
Was he doing the right thing? Is disbanding Team star...truly the right thing to do?
Tinkaton woke up with a start, gasping for air and noticing that she was lying on a hospital bed of her own.
Turning her head back and forth, she quickly realized she was alone in her room.
"Pawmo!" Tinkaton cried.
Gritting her teeth, Tinkaton jumped from the bed and saw that her giant hammer was conveniently laying on a table right beside her. After picking it up, Tinkaton ran over to the door and tried opening it. After realizing she didn't have opposable thumbs and couldn't open the door, she decided to open it the only way she knew how.
She burst open the door with her hammer.
After the door flew open, a passing by Nurse Joy squealed, dropping syringes onto the floor. Tinkaton then started sprinting to the nearest hospital room, and hit the door so hard with her hammer that it flew into the room it was for.
The room was empty.
"Where's Pawmo!?" Tinkaton cried, running over to the next hospital door and slamming it open with her weapon.
No one was in the next room she checked.
So she checked the next one.
And the next one.
And the next one.
He wasn't in any room.
"WHERE'S PAWMO!?" Tinkaton cried, running down the hallway of the hospital room doors, all of which she had already destroyed. "Where IS HE!?" She cried.
"I'm right here-" Pawmo's voice made Tinkaton gasp with joy.
"Pawmo!?" She cried, turning around.
Pawmo wasn't behind her. Tinkaton furrowed her brow in confusion. "P-Pawmo..!?" Tinkaton cried. "Where are you?! I can't see you- why are you a voice in my head?!"
"Probably because you're dreaming."
"WHAT?!"
Tinkaton blinked and realized that all the doors she had destroyed previously were back in their places, as though she had never touched them.
"What-..." Tinkaton muttered. A chill ran down her spine as everything around her became pitch black.
"You're dreaming." Pawmo's voice said.
"What?!"
"You're having a dream right now."
Tinkaton heard Pawmo's voice echoing in her mind.
"Wake up."
"Wake up."
"Wake up."
"Wake-"
Tinkaton gasped for air all over again-, lifting herself up from a hospital bed. Once she turned her head to the left, she saw that Pawmo was...Laying right beside her.
Blushing madly and squealing, Tinkaton fell off from the bed and fell onto the ground.
"Hey- don't pass out again!" Pawmo cried, going to the edge of the bed and looking down at the Pink pokémon.
"This-...this isn't a dream…right..?" Tinkaton groaned while lying on the ground.
"I mean, I could pinch you," Pawmo said.
"No- no. I'm good. I'm just now feeling the pain from falling; this is definitely real life." Tinkaton groaned.
"Are you gonna be okay?"
"I should be asking you that. Do…you have your memories back?"
"Uh… no."
"Oh." Tinkaton said. "Ugh… my head hurts…"
"I'm sorry! Should I kiss your head to make you feel better-"
"KI-KI-KI-...KISSS..?!" Tinkaton's entire face became red.
"Do I not kiss you that often? What kind of boyfriend am I?"
"Ugh…!" Tinkaton cried. "This isn't right- Listen!" Tinkaton sprung up from the ground. "You and I-... we- we aren't a couple!"
"Really? Awww…." Pawmo said. "I thought I was lucky and ended up with a really, really cute girlfriend."
"Cute-!?.." Tinkaton's face became even more red. She shook her head quickly. "No, no no!… you lost your memory! You... aren't you right now...You're… different...!" The pink Pokémon frowned. "It's like I'm talking to an entirely different person...!"
"Uh… I see," Pawmo said. He scratched the back of his head. "What kind of person was I- er… am I like?"
"You were-...er, are kind. You always...tried having everyone in mind, and were kind to everyone. You- you helped me when I needed it most. You heard me out when I vented to you and told you about how sad I was, and I really appreciated you being there for me…"ut now… you went ahead and went all out against some dumb Slaking-" Tinkaton tried to fight back tears. "all to protect me and our trainer…and you lost your memory. And now- here you are…" The pink Pokémon couldn't help but sniffle a bit.
"I see…" Pawmo said. "Uh, by the way…do you have a crush on me?"
"Wha-!?" Tinkaton cried. "Wha- Why- what- wh-...Why- No-! I-.. Of course i-.."
"You do, don't you," Pawmo said.
Tinkaton lowered her head in defeat.
"I dunno if I'll remember this conversation at all," Pawmo said, "But uh, I think you should think about confessing to me when I get my memory back."
"Wha-...!?" Tinkaton cried.
"Reason why is because my heart's pounding too. The moment I said 'you do, don't you,' I realized it- I think I like you too. My brain doesn't remember why, but my heart does. As cheesy as that sounds."
Tinkaton sat back onto the ground.
"Oh..." Tinkaton said, staring unblinkingly at the floor. "Huh..."
Tinkaton continued staring blankly at the floor.
"...Huh." She muttered again. "I-... uh… I need a minute. To absorb all of this."
"Take your time!" Pawmo said. "If you don't mind, I'm just gonna stare at you- because you're super cute."
Tinkaton didn't even respond to Pawmo's flirtation, because that was how shocked she was.
Pawmo…liked her back..?
"This- This is real life, right?" Tinkaton asked. "This isn't a dream?"
"I already told you, this isn't a dream. You want me to pinch you?"
"Maybe?"
"Can't believe you're making me do this-" Pawmo leapt onto the ground with Tinkaton. He raised one finger, which sparked with electricity.
But then, at the last second, Pawmo put his finger away, and kissed Tinkaton on the cheek. Tinkaton's eyes widened in shock as her entire body jolted.
"See? You're not dreaming," Pawmo said.
Tinkaton fainted right then and there, and Pawmo facepalmed.
"And that's the jist of it," Nemona said, having explained Geeta's story when she first awakened to the second level of Flow against Iron Valient. "She was super cool, by the way. Did I mention how cool Geeta was?"
"Yes. For the hundredth time, yes." Arven moaned.
"So you reached the second level of Flow." Aeon said, bending his pointer finger and raising it to his lower lip, "Although, that story you told us about Geeta does raise a question. After getting into that second level, why did the form of Geeta's Pokémon change, and yours didn't?"
"Good question," Nemona said. "...Let me see if Lycanroc and I can fix that."
Nemona clenched her fists and took a deep breath as she closed her eyes. "Might wanna stand back, guys.." the champion-ranked trainer said as she crossed her arms in front of her chest.
Aeon and Arven shared a look and took a step back. For a while, the three of them were silent. The only thing that could be heard was Grevard's barking and Kai's screaming.
Nemona's hair began slowly flowing upwards into the air, as though a gentle breeze was brushing by it. The girl started gritting her teeth, letting out sounds of exertion.
Her hair flashed white for an instant, before fading.
Brown, rock-type energy burst from Nemona's body as her cape and hair flew wildly in the wind. Nemona's hair color flashed white repeatedly, like a flashlight turning on and off.
The sound was loud enough to make Kai and Grevard turn.
Nemona opened her eyes and showed that they were now crimson red. That was when she uncrossed her arms and began to scream at the top of her lungs. Her hair turned white and stayed white. Rocks began to rise around the champion-ranked trainer one after another. The aura radiated like a brilliant flame dancing wildly. Suddenly, the spiritual image of Lycanroc (Midday form) appeared behind its trainer. Two Brown beams of light rose from the ground from below the girl's feet and twirled around her. Both beams of light had the heads of wolves howling into the sky as they faded away.
As Lycanroc continued to howl, its body began to change as though it were evolving- its body began to stand on its two legs, and hunched its back.
"Wait-..!" Aeon shouted. "Lycanroc- he's changing form!"
"Isn't that… his midnight form!?" Arven shouted.
Nemona continued to scream at the very top of her lungs. Her cape began to change in response to Lycanroc's transformation- her robe became red instead of brown. The weapon she wielded was changing as well, transforming from clawed knuckles...
into a scythe.
The weapon had a red blade, and on the heel of the blade was a decoration of a gold-colored wolf opening its mouth. The sheen of the blade was reminiscent of a blood-red crescent moon.
With a final war cry from Nemona and a howl from Lycanroc- the aura around them exploded into the sky like a geyser. The beam of light cut through the clouds like a knife and began to dissipate.
The spiritual form of Lycanroc disappeared, and the tie that held Nemona's ponytail broke. The girl's hair was let down, yet the single bang that hung in front of her face remained.
Aeon, Arven, Kai and Greavard watched in shock and awe as a gentle white aura flowed around Nemona's body, her hair and cape flowed in the air as though it were underwater. The champion-ranked trainer raised her free hand and stared at her open palm.
"I see now... My Lycanroc can change its form when I'm in the second level of Flow…" Nemona's voice carried more focus with it- it sounded slightly deeper. It was almost like she became a different person. "With this form… I can feel Lycanroc's midnight form ability. No Guard. That means…in this form… I can't miss an attack."
"You-...c-can't miss.?!" Kai cried.
Nemona clenched her hand. "This is amazing. Incredible, even. I'm so excited."
Kai didn't know what was more terrifying. The fact that Nemona was saying 'I'm so excited' with a quiet, determined voice, or the fact that she looked like some sort of majestic, scythe-wielding Empress.
"I can feel it. Lycanroc and I... we want to test our power. Hope you aren't afraid," Nemona said, lowering her clenched fist."You're the only one in the world who wouldn't back down from my challenge... right, Kai?"
Kai and Nemona's eyes met. A grin came to both of their faces.
"You're so right," Kai said.
Nemona offered a hand to Kai, and Kai took it, allowing her to help him stand.
"That's insane..." Arven said. "Kai's insane for wanting to fight her at that state... I don't think Nemona's even beatable in that state. Anyone in their right mind would realize that..."
"...This is Kai we're talking about..." Aeon said. "He- He doesn't back down...if the odds are stacked against him, he-he'll laugh about it and...fight anyway..."
"Hey, Aeon!" Kai shouted. "I can still go one last round against Nemona, right!?"
"Uh… Y-Yeah…!" Aeon said, still clearly in shock. "G-Go ahead… As long as Grevard's watching…"
Kai thankfully didn't notice that Grevard was hiding behind his ankle.
Aeon watched Nemona with sheer awe and surprise. "If- If Kai's able to tap into a power like that…" Aeon muttered to himself. "Then… when he eventually has to fight me when the professors control me…He could defeat me…!"
Kai and Nemona turned away from each other and walked off to give each other space. After a bit, Kai spun around, clenching his water rapier in his hand.
Nemona took her scythe and spun it over her head before slamming the blade onto the ground behind her.
'I'm so thankful..' Kai thought to himself.
"Thank you, Kai," Nemona whispered under her breath.
Kai started running toward Nemona and yelling.
'I'm so thankful that you exist- Nemona,' Kai thought as he ran. 'You're so powerful… when I see you- I think about the heights that I could still reach… and I get so excited. It's all because of you… Now that I finally see that Pokémon battles are so special and amazing… I can enjoy it to my heart's content..!'
Kai leapt into the sky, continuing to bellow his war cry.
"Thank you for being you," Nemona muttered under her breath as she looked up at Kai. "Thank you for existing. Because if it wasn't for you..I wouldn't have discovered this...Amazing power." The champion-ranked trainer's grip on her weapon tightened.
'I know, deep in my heart,' Kai thought to himself.
"If I keep pushing you…"Nemona muttered.
'Eventually…'
"We'll become evenly matched…!" Both Kai's thoughts and Nemona's whispers came in unison.
Kai roared at the top of his lungs.
Nemona shouted as loud as she could.
"Earthquake!" Nemona roared, swinging her scythe upwards suddenly caused the ground below her to tremble before a geyser of dust and rocks flew out toward Kai.
"Wait- I'm IN THE AIR- THAT'S NOT FA-"
Kai was sent flying into the sky by the rising geyser of dust from the earthquake attack that had turned into a projectile. Nemona twirled her scythe over her head before slamming the hilt of the blade on the ground.
"Sorry-" Nemona said, "No Guard means no missing! Period."
Kai yelled loudly until he fell onto the ground on his back. Dust flew into the air as he landed for a little while before settling.
"Ow…" Kai muttered as he lay on the cracked earth below him. "
Aeon, Arven and Nemona walked over to the fallen trainer.
"You okay?" Arven asked.
"I'm good..." Kai moaned. "Invoker armor makes it so I can't get hurt, remember?"
"I know that. You didn't let me finish- I was talking about Quaxwell."
"Uh...I think he's unconscious." Kai muttered.
"I've never seen a power like that…" Aeon said, turning to Nemona.
"I know, right?!" Nemona shouted. "It's super cool! Though- I think I've had my fill. I'll start holding back again, so that Kai can get stronger. Then when I go all out against him when we're evenly matched, it'll be like Wham! Boom! Kabaam!" Nemona started punching the air with her free hand and started giggling.
Aeon turned to Kai. "Kai, you have to learn how to do that," The android said.
"Yup. Already on it..." Kai muttered.
"Uh," Arven said, "Nemona, Are you gonna get a new hair tie, by the way?"
"MY HAIRTIE'S BROKEN!?" Nemona cried. She put her hands on her hair and widened her eyes. "OH DIOS MIO!"
"You didn't notice?" Arven asked. He sighed. "I seriously don't get you."
"Ugh… I gotta get my spare... after I turn off this transformation.."
Aeon and Arven stared at Nemona for a while, and Nemona stared back.
The three of them continued staring at each other for a while.
"...So..?" Arven said expectedly.
"I- I dunno how to turn it off," Nemona said with a chuckle.
Arven facepalmed and Aeon chuckled.
"...I think I hate you..." Arven moaned. Nemona started laughing.
"That's okay! Use that hate and turn it into motivation to battle me!" Nemona shouted.
"Yeah, now I'm certain I hate you."
"Hey- don't be mean," Aeon said, elbowing his brother.
"Yeah, yeah, Hate's a strong word," Arven replied.
"I know you're cranky because you're impatient," Aeon said, "Just hang in there for a little longer, okay?" Aeon placed a hand over Arven's shoulder, and he sighed and crossed his arms.
"Hey… uh…" Kai muttered. "Quaxwell's not…uh…disengaging the Tera fusion… Can someone help me..?"
Everyone looked down at Kai. Suddenly, Greavard's barking could be heard from the distance.
"Oh, look at that," Aeon said, turning his head to Greavard approaching them.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Kai roared. "I CAN'T MOVE- PLEASE- PLEAAAAAAAAAAAASE-" Kai tried helplessly to move in the armor that was too heavy for him.
"I think Quaxwell's using the last of its energy to hold you down," Arven said, cracking a smile. "Too bad for you."
Greavard barked happily as he ran over to Kai and stood over his chest.
"AHHHH- GET OFF ME GET OFF ME GET OFFF MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" Kai cried.
Grevard started happily licking Kai's face. Arven, Aeon and Nemona began laughing together as Kai began screaming for help.
