Chapter 73: Instinct
Geeta crossed her arms. Her hair flowed majestically as though it were submerged in the ocean under her Japanese sunhat, which covered her eyes with shadow as she tilted her head downward. Blue flames and sparks coarsed through her entire body along with her aura. The three blades that floated behind her back radiated with purple, Dark type energy.
Geeta Rojo gritted her teeth in anger, held her katana with both hands as though it were a baseball bat, and swung it downward- the red blade through the ground as the friction caused yellow sparks to fly by both sides of it and gathered to her weapon to charge it. A bolt of lightning came from the sky and struck her blade by the time she swung it out from the ground- and a powerful projectile of lightning flew out of her weapon and at Geeta.
One of Geeta's flying blades moved in front of its user and started spinning like a windmill, acting as a shield to block the oncoming attack. Lightning blasted outward at the point of impact, spreading like the unfurling of wings and blocking Geeta's sight. But Geeta did not look phased, even as the dust flew past her. She simply looked up, saw her opponent in the air with her sword raised, ready to strike…
Geeta took a single step to the side to dodge.
Geeta Rojo let out a roar of frustration as she spun her head to her enemy, stood up, and started swinging rapidly. Geeta dodged effortlessly, tilting her head left and right to dodge stabs, and swinging her body to dodge swings. The longer the dodging went on, the more frustrated Geeta Rojo became.
Geeta Rojo stabbed her Katana forward with all of her might, and Geeta raised a hand before flicking the tip of her opponent's blade to deflect it. Geeta Rojo let out a gasp as her arm went back as though someone had swung with all of their might to deflect her blade. After stumbling back, Geeta Rojo glared furiously at her good counterpart.
The three swords that hung behind Geeta flew out toward her enemy like arrows.
They began swinging rapidly after reaching the enraged Geeta Rojo, and the evil woman fought back against them. It was like fighting three master swordsman at once, all of whom had no bodies to strike.
As Geeta Rojo fought vigorously against the three swords that flew about like flies, Geeta herself approached. Geeta's arms continued to be crossed as she raised one leg and stomped her villainous counterpart on the foot. As Geeta Rojo roared in pain, she began being slashed rapidly by the swords that could freely attack now that her guard was down.
Meanwhile, Geeta reeled back and did a powerful back kick to her opponent's gut.
Spit flew out of the evil woman's mouth before she was sent flying straight into a skyscraper-like building. Geeta watched as her swords flew back to her, and watched the skyscraper she sent her opponent flying into beginning to tip over and fall. Geeta walked casually toward the falling skyscraper and looked up- seeing Geeta Rojo rising through the rooftop of the building.
Gritting her teeth and roaring furiously, Geeta Rojo began sliding down the falling skyscraper and down at Geeta, gathering more friction on her sword by dragging it across the windows and gravel.
Geeta suddenly began to float, and shifted her body toward the falling skyscraper.
Both trainers charged toward each other with incredible speed. Geeta snapped her fingers, and her swords shot toward Geeta Rojo. Geeta Rojo deflected the first blade with her sword, sending it flying away, then leapt, slashing to deflect the second oncoming blade. Then, Geeta Rojo flew toward her enemy.
"FIGHT ME!" Geeta Rojo cried.
Both women were inches away from each other. As Geeta Rojo began to swing down, Geeta grabbed the last blade that hung behind her back and swung it so quickly that her evil counterpart couldn't even finish her attack. Geeta's Slash attack was so powerful, that it cut the entire skyscraper in half, and sent Geeta Rojo flying into the air and screaming.
As Geeta Rojo gritted her teeth and clenched her eyes shut from wincing, her body continued being sent flying like an arrow with her face looking toward the sky. When Geeta Rojo opened one of her eyes, she saw her good counterpart Geeta floating above her still-sent-flying body, with her back turned, and her arms crossed.
"What… WHAT ARE YOU..!?" Geeta Rojo cried.
Geeta turned her head.
"I'm what you could have been." She said.
Geeta Rojo roared in anger and thrust her blade- and just before it could reach her enemy, Geeta's blades rushed in, slashing rapidly at Geeta Rojo's body.
The evil woman's body contorted as though she were being shocked by lightning as the myriad of slash attacks connected onto her body, and then sent her flying downward into the ground.
Geeta Rojo crash landed onto the ground back first, her body bounced for a moment before Geeta landed right on top of her stomach, stomping with both feet.
Dust flew outward, and the pained screams of Geeta Rojo grew louder than the sound of impact.
Geeta looked down with pity at her evil counterpart. Geeta Rojo grit her teeth, swallowed her screams, and let out a roar as her eyes began to glow red.
Geeta leapt away from her enraged counterpart as a ray of red lightning shot from below Geeta Rojo's back.
Geeta landed on the ground and watched as she saw her evil counterpart's shadow leaping out of the geyser of red lightning.
Geeta Rojo landed on the ground with both hands on the floor, gasping for air as though she emerged from nearly drowning. Her nails dragged across the desert sands.
Geeta Rojo began screaming at the very top of her lungs, like a child who had begun throwing a tantrum.
"I'LL BURY YOU!" Geeta Rojo cried, pulling herself up to stand, and raising her Katana over her head. The red ray of light that formed the blade of her futuristic katana began pulsating before exploding with energy. Blue electricity mixed with flame-like fighting type energy burst from it as it grew. Within seconds, the size of the blade rivaled a Skyscraper, and its color changed from red, to blue.
Geeta looked up as the shadow of her opponent's massive weapon loomed over her.
Nemona, who watched from afar, felt her heart sinking. That power that Geeta Rojo was drawing from…had the combined strength of the two most powerful attacks Miraidon and Koraidon could use.
Collision Course combined with Electro Drift.
"I'M GOING TO PUT EVERYTHING I HAVE INTO THIS ATTACK-" Geeta Rojo cried. "AND BURY YOU WITH THE REMAINS OF THIS WHOLE DAMN CITY! You're going to PAY!" Geeta Rojo began laughing maniacally at the thought of making her opponent suffer. The weapon grew more and more- a flame like fighting type energy spiraled around the blue blade. "That's right- just stand right there! Go ahead and pretend that this doesn't faze you!"
For the first time after ascending, Geeta uncrossed her arms. She drew in a breath of air through her nose as she entered a drawing stance. The three blades that hung behind her turned into rays of light that gathered around her hands, and took the form of a single Odachi, which was a much longer version of a Katana.
"You're going to DIE!" Geeta Rojo said. With an intense battle roar, Geeta Rojo swung her sword downward.
The sound of a drop of water falling onto the ground echoed in Geeta's mind as everything around her became slower. The afterimage of Kingambit appeared beside its trainer, mirroring her drawing stance.
Both Pokémon and Trainer closed their eyes as they both exhaled through their mouths.
There was a reason why Geeta had a preference to use Kingambit when it came to Tera fusion. The weapon Kingambit became, the Katana, helped her move without thought, and move with only her reflexes.
Not a single thought came to cloud her mind and judgment- not even a thought that would comment on how clear her mind felt.
When she moved her hands into a drawing stance, she felt her most powerful. When she folded every single finger on the hilt of her sword, she felt tranquility.
This was what Flow truly was.
When the confidence of a user matches the difficulty of the task at hand. When thoughts fail to slow action, and the mind and body become one. All that was left was to follow her instincts.
The image of a single Sakura petal began falling between Kingambit and Geeta, swinging back and forth gently in the air, like a parent would with their baby's cradle. Neither of them moved as the petal slowly touched the ground, and erupted in Dark-type, black colored flames.
Finally, Geeta took a step forward- and drew her blade. When she next opened her eyes… Geeta realized that she had already delivered the Kowtow Cleave attack with a single cut- and had already dashed past Geeta Rojo with her blade extended.
Geeta Rojo's eyes widened as she choked loudly. The gigantic flame-like, powerful and towering weapon she had held over her head exploded like a firework before fading away. Geeta didn't move as her opponent fell to the ground in slow-motion. The evil woman's beam katana, which was now only a hilt of a sword without a blade, fell to the ground in front of her.
Soon, time began moving normally again as Geeta's rapidly racing mind adjusted back to moving as normal.
That was when Geeta sheathed her Odachi.
Geeta's hair then reverted back to its normal color, along with her eyes. Geeta's Odachi turned into its normal katana form.
"G-Geeta…!" Nemona cried out, running over to Geeta while holding onto her left shoulder. "Did- Did you win?! Are you okay?!"
"I should be asking you that," Geeta said, turning to her friend who was clearly more wounded and bruised than her. "Are you all right?"
"I'm fine…" Nemona said.
Both Nemona and Geeta shared a smile.
"Look…at that…" Geeta Rojo's pained voice made both girls turn. "You…finally…beat…me."
Geeta frowned and approached her evil self. Nemona clenched her fists before following.
Both girls looked down at the defeated Geeta Rojo.
"You lost. Now talk." Geeta said.
Geeta Rojo laughed weakly as the hilt of her weapon began to tremble.
"Why're you laughing?" Nemona asked. "There's nothing you can do. You lost."
Geeta Rojo's pupils shrank as she grinned maliciously.
Suddenly, Geeta pushed Nemona.
That's when the hilt of Geeta Rojo's weapon re-engaged the beam that became a blade. Nemona's eyes widened as the beam of the blade flew straight where she was previously standing.
The soft hum of the beam blade was the only thing that could be heard as the beam Katana fell to the ground.
Geeta then walked up to the beam katana, took a few steps away from the surprised Nemona and fallen Geeta Rojo, and stabbed it into the ground, knowing full well that the ground inside of it would neutralize the Electric type power within the blade- and if the fighting type energy were to react, Geeta would have time to do something.
"Heh. That push was preemptive," Geeta Rojo said as Geeta approached again. "You must have known I'd try to kill her. for a second, you had to think like a killer, huh?" Geeta Rojo coughed loudly as she cackled. "You had to think about the darkness within me...within us. In other words, you had to think to yourself... 'If I were my evil counterpart...and I still had that hate for Nemona... what would I do right now, at this moment?' You truly have embraced the darker side of yourself. Looks like my role in the script... is almost over."
"Let me clarify something." Geeta said. "I don't hate Nemona. I have resentment for the result of that fateful fight I had with her, and I'm aiming that 'hate' and anger toward bettering myself as a trainer."
"Ah. There's that mixture of 'light' you talked about that adds to that 'darkness' of yours. What was it you called it? Twilight?"
Geeta nodded. "That last attack you did on Nemona, it was a test for me, wasn't it?"
Geeta Rojo started cackling until she started coughing. She coughed until she eventually cleared her throat.
"Was it?" Geeta Rojo said.
Geeta narrowed her eyes. "Talk," She said.
"Oh, I will. You've earned that much." Geeta Rojo said. "I'll explain everything. Just like I agreed to do with the professors…And then… my time will come."
"Your time... will come?" Geeta said, raising her eyebrows.
Geeta Rojo started cackling weakly all over again.
